A new driver came out 8/14/2017 and as soon as I saw the notification, I downloaded it. The update was going all good but when it finished, both of my monitors have very washed out colors. Could this happen because I downloaded the update right as it came out? I've looked on other forums and tried adjusting the control panel settings which seemed to have worked out a little, but still leave me with very washed out colors compared to what they used to be. I have a PNY 970 4GB. Both monitors are 1920x1080 but my primary(left) monitor is 144Hz 1ms using the DVI-D cable that came with it and my secondary(right) monitor is 60Hz 5ms using a VGA to mini HDMI cable. I've attached 8 screenshots of my control panel settings. NOTE: If you're going to refer to the screen shots below make sure you're talking about the correct monitor because there is two of them and the name's are similar

No sound, speakers shut down, sound starts playing, speakers pop and then start playing sound.

Hey ya'll. I come back here with hopes to solve an issue I am facing but for Gods sake I cant figure why is this happening... Sooo I got new speakers with subwoofer and the problem I have is that when I play audio, it works fine, but if there is even just 1 second pause, speakers go to some form of "iddle" state and then when sound should start playing, subwoofer goes with super annoying POP sound and actual sound starts playing a second later... I dunno if that is the speaker feature or windows problem but its very annoying and I kinda want to fix that... This way I cant hear discord notifications cuz all it does is loud POP and it can be literally anything, discord, steam, windows notification or just out of nowhere it pops and goes back to its "iddle" state... I want to eliminate that "iddle" thing so the speakers would be on all the time... I dont care about power savings and whatnot... -

I was going onto the website and clicked on the “Linus Tech Tips” logo at the top and I was in light mode, so I knew I was logged out because it’s happened before and I’m on dark mode as well. Everything was fine until i got back home from st.patricks day when i noticed i coudlnt play any games they all needed updating so i try updating they download to about 99%and then it starts to slow down the download speed to bytes then the Est just climbs and climbs till i get connection timed out ? img 1 img 2 -
So if you read the tags you understand my Dilemma, I have a Windows 10 professional, fun gaming rig a built a few months back. I've never had any problems with the sound before. I have an NVIDIA 970 running the sound and video through an HDMI Also I bought a Focusrite Scarlet solo installed the software (delicately and properly) and have a pair of Beyerdynamics 880 premiums plugged in through an 1/8" cable. It only lags when I run it through their driver. Thought it might be some problem with the NVIDIA driver so I uninstalled it, checked and restored my disk. Nothing. Thought it might be my motherboard's audio driver (Realtek) so I uninstalled that, and checked it, and restored it. Nope Thought it might be a weird hard drive problem so I defragged it, nah. Just watching Youtube it does it, and it's starting to tick me off. I FINALLY SAVE UP AND BUY NICE HEADPHONES AND THEY DON'T WORK ON MY PC, NOOOOOOOOOOOO. HELP! When they aren't lagging they sound like heaven, and I just them to work liddat all the time! Also interestingly enough the usb ports on the front of the case don't work anymore. EDIT: Sometimes I should type slower. EDIT: Pigeon for style.

About 10 minutes ago I found a package in the mail by the name of Teespring. I looked at it for a while questioning what it was, and then I realized. It was the shirt! I'm pretty sure the scheduled date of arrival was the 10th-16th so this was a great surprise. I got the #OutOfIdeas shirt in red and it's great! Medium is a little large but nothing I can't grow into. Overall it was a great purchase, I recommend getting some Linus Tech Tips apparel soon!

I'm on ethernet and occasionally my internet cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back online. Some days it happens quite frequently and some days it doesn't happen at all. When it cuts out, the network icon on the taskbar shows that it is disconnected. I have tried reinstalling my network drivers and updating my BIOS. I also tried plugging my PC into a different port on the router. My brother says that he doesn't have this problem, although he sometimes gets lag spikes. We also recently moved house, and this problem didn't occur at the old place. My router is the Huawei HG659. My motherboard is the ASRock Z270 Extreme4.

Hi, im trying to create a transition for some text and my problem now is that i have a .6s delay because i want it to start after another transition has begun, although i would not want the delay to be .6s for transitioning out. This piece of code is a box with text in it, when u hover, it does a bouncing animation and when the bouncing ends it increases in height which has kind of a dropdown effect, that new area that the extra height creates is where the transition for the other piece of text comes in. I placed an order on NCIX 3 weeks ago. at the time, the items were in stock, but 3 days after I received an email telling me that only 1 item was shipped and that the others (11) where Pending Shipment and Back ordered. What the actual ƒ*₡₭ ? Also, they took 13 days to reply to my ticket. anyone experiencing the same situation or is only me?

Hello all, I have a bad issue on my pc. When im playing League of Legends and im pressing on the bottom of the screen (identical area where the Taskbar normaly sits on Desktop mode) im getting kicked out of the fullscreen game to the desktop. I am using a fresh installed Windows 10, it already occured on Windows 8.1 and what i have to mention i have a triple surround activated and im using display fusion to get a taskbar on all screens separately. Anyone here that knows how to fix this problem? Greetings and Thank you for your help!

So I'm not really sure what this is, but I was able to get a look at it just once before it flashed in front of my face this time. About every 30-50 minutes or so, this Bitsadmin cmd box will flash on my screen, tabbing me out of whatever full screen game or thing im doing. I've tried looking up how to fix it, but I suck at this stuff and hit a dead end. -Windows is updated -MWB and Avast found nothing -I tried to restore to an earlier point from prior to the issue, didnt resolve it Any help would be lovely, thanks

I'm having an issue with my 50 inch 4k tv making all of my displays cutting out when I load a game up and occasionally when i'm browsing the web. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what could possibly be happening, I play all games at 1080p and just use the 4k tv for watching youtube (not simultaneously). Any questions please ask, I just want to find out whats wrong and fix it; Thanks guys! System specs: Xfx RX 580 8GB, Ryzen 5 1600, AsRock Ab350 Pro4, 16GB 2400 ram, corsair 650w PSU,2 asus 1080p displays, Vizio 50 inch 4k tv.

Hello, lately my friend has been having some problems while running games. A bit of time ago, he ran Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM. He kept having problems with crashing in games saying "out of memory". His uncle then installed a fresh new copy of Windows 10 64-bit on his PC. But it kept having the same problems. One of the only games he is able to play right now is Overwatch. We tried playing Battlefield 1 Open Beta earlier today, but his game kept crashing every five minutes. He also had these problems in Rust, Battlefield 4 and some various other games. I really hope someone has a fix for this, so I can help him with it <3. Hope to see some comments <3. Laptop usb ports randomly cutting out

So I recently did a reinstall of windows on my laptop in preparation for using it as a daily over the summer. After this, I notices something fairly quickly. I use a lot of external media (2 external ssds and 2 external hdds), and while these were being used, the usb ports on the laptop would cut out for a few seconds. This happens over all the usb ports, as my external keyboard goes dark, and my mouse stops working as well. Razer does not have any specific usb drivers, and I installed all the drivers that were available (excluding the graphics related ones that i got off nvidia's website). After a bit of research, a lot of people said it was a usb 3 power saving measure derping out, so I disabled anything related to usb power savings, and I also disabled "legacy usb support" in the bios to no avail. It just cut out on me while typing this, because origin opened in the background and accessed the hdd. -
So every single day around 10AM my internet goes out for anywhere from 4 to 12 hours. Before you ask, let me detail the situation: 1. The DSL light on the router is flashing and the internet light does not show up, so this is an issue localized at the router. As no devices connected to my network can access the net. 2. Centurylink claims that they are showing no service issues in my area 3. I have tried a different phone outlet with the same result during this time 4. I live in an Apartment complex so I ponder as to wither or not someone just moved here, got new service and their "Technician" hooked up the lines in a weird improper way 5. I have no phone service so it is not caused from me being on the phone without a filter 6. This issue only occured as of 1 month ago, and continues every day I am sick of calling them every day and being asked to perform their idea of troubleshooting i.e. "Is the green wire connected to the green socket labeled line in or dsl" "would you please power cycle the modem" I use to work at a call center and while I know a power cycle can help in most situations, I feel as though they are doing this step for the same reason we did it at verizon, so that we could type our notes while the device reset. Any of my fellow brotheren encountered this situation before? Any idea of what might be causing this? and why the heck it happens at the same time every day? And what are the magic words I need to use to have them fix it? They have another Technician coming tomorrow from 8am to 5pm (when I need to be home) and I cannot afford them waisting my time any longer. Id rather fix it myself or switch carriers. Router type is an Actiontec c1000a and I have googled every comination of words I can think of and all I can find is topics like "My internet drops for a few seconds // my internet goes out multiple times a day" Nothing like my situation -
TLDR: Every time I put shampoo in my hair, like 5 or more hair follicles will be left on my hands. More falls out when I dry my hair. (happens less when I get a hair cut) I dont have issues with hair loss or anything, and this has been going on for as long as I can remember. Does it happen to you guys too?

Hi, So I built an HTPC and I'm noticing audio dropouts. I'm using a trial version of WinDVD Pro and I'm noticing the audio continuously dropping out. Initially I thought it was due to the DTS HD audio codec, but then I'm experiencing the problem when I run dolby digital videos. I set the amp to pass the audio to my TV and noticed that its dropping there as well. Funny thing is I'm experiencing a dropout at the same time of the menu of Lilo and Stitch. Please help me solve this issue. I've checked the manual and I did the steps that they said and it hasn't helped out. I really want to get this issue solved and so far am leaning towards the trial software being the culprit as I don't experience any audio dropout with other content (e.g gaming, youtube) Thanks, 4321Rocket

I was watching a stream and someone mentioned that they have software that allows you to keep the game open when you press alt +tab so that you are able to use the secondary monitors without having the problems of opening the game again. Any help finding this will be very appreciated. -Thanks

In news that should shock no one here, the Apple Watch Edition sold out in China in under an hour. Don't know how well it sold out everywhere else, but checking US sites the watch is showing "June" for delivery, then again EVERY watch I've selected has shown June as of 930 MST. So yea, the thing has been selling very well. I placed my orders, whether or not I buy comes down to how much i like wearing it come tomorrow, but what I've heard personally leaves me optimistic that I'll actually enjoy it. When I first built this computer, I bought a used i7-950, 12GB of Mushkin RAM and a motherboard for $200 USD, which wasn't a bad deal. The only real problem is that the motherboard I'm speaking of is an ASRock X58 Extreme, one of the ugliest motherboards (Pic) I've ever seen outside of prebuilts and server boards. At the time I was far more focused on getting a working computer on the cheap than I was about looks, and now a few years later it's, erm, charm is starting to wear off. Seriously, who puts copper heatsinks along with plastics with colors including, but not limited to, white, blue, red, purple, yellow, and two shades of orange on a motherboard? But I digress. I've finally purchased a new, sexier motherboard and am about to place the order on a new cpu (waffling between i5-4690k and i7-4790k) and have decided that once I have performance taken care of, I'd like to put a little money into sprucing the old gal up. A few things I've considered are, a new case (mine is more functional than beautiful), braided replacement psu cables, a new paint job on the shroud of my gpu to match my RAM/Mobo heatsinks, and some LEDs to show it all off. I was wondering if you guys in the LTT community had any ideas about other small (<$100 USD preferably) little touches I could add to make my computer not only look better, but also be uniquely mine. I look forward to hearing what you guys come up with! I will be sure to update with some pics once it's looking a little better, maybe end of July, mid august?

AMD 'Out of physical memory' issue

Hello recently I purchased a new Mobo + CPU + CPU-Cooler, It has gained my attention many concerns some which are known to the public as dangerous and concerning. Start: So i bought a Asrock 990FX Extreme6 USB3.0 Motherboard (Which is amazing!) & obviously a CPU to fit it (9590) (I understand it is designed as to get hot, but obviously thats why i purchased a Cryorig R1 as it supports 220W TDP with 30W overhead. The cooler works and keeps the PC running like a breeze.) Issues: I've been having memory issues where I will freeze during a game or web-page (High intensive) but I will lagg so badly for a couple minuites then it happens; "Out of physical memory" I only had this issue wonce but now its re-accuring. Which is a pain. The RAM is a non-branded (Crap) (I know I will upgrade later!!!) 1333mhz Ram which is single channel 1x Dimm Slot. Second issue (Recently found): My Corsair CX750M PSU decides to make a coil whine which can be very loud @ times which can make it 100% noticible. I know there are fixes like vaseline on the capacitors/coils butthats somewhere I shoudn't mess around with as I know that PSU's hold a high charge for a long time. Making it highly dangerous (Can kill!) I've heard my specific model has bad quality capacitors and loss coils. Corsair provided me a 10year warranty but, I've heard online that the same PSU 3x and still breaks / whines. Corsair eventually upgraded their users with a higher model free of charge (Atleastthats what I have heard.) Can I ask them for a higher PSU providng I pay for shipping costs back and forth??, As themoffering to swap 3x is stupid rather than them doing a straight swap and upgrade. Basically can I ask them for a higher tier model if I pay for shipping?
