I have tried to get there myself but I seemingly can't so here I am asking for help. I tried to flash the stock recovery over my twrp to maybe even get the update to work that way but it failed just like before except now it doesn't reboot into recovery to then do nothing instead it sends me to a battery indicator screen so I suspect something has gone wrong flashing the recovery. There where no sign indicating this when I flashed it using this command: fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery.img (everything ran fine and terminated fine. Yes I was in the right folder). Now I also trid flashing TWRP back but this also didn't work. Now I have a fully working phone without any recovery. Do you need any further info? (I have also posted this in the Oneplus 3 forums)

I finally made it to a stage where nougat was on my phone after one night of tinkering and combining guides ... but my Sim is not working anymore so i want to go back to 3.2.8. I tried to get there myself and i currently have no working android OS and no working recovery. I already tried flashing TWRP multiple times but it doesn't want to work. I had 3.0.3 working on it before but then I tried reverting to backup (without previously wiping) packup included all partitions and was takne on 3.2.8 but on reboot my phone froze in TWRP screen and I had to hard shut down by holding the power button. Currently I have bootloader still working Device tampered: false Device unlocked: true Device citical unlocked: false Charger sceen enabled: false Display panel: (NULL, nothing or hoéver you want to call it - no entry here) Have console: false Selinux type: <none> Boot_mode: normal kmeleak_detect: false force_training: true recovery not working anymore no OS (?) idk it dones't boot so i guess I killed everything that was there If you need more info please feel free to ask for it ... Yes, I did it again and this time I will learn from my mistake, I promise.

I'm getting kind of annoyed at one plus with the way that they allow you to customize their alert slider. All I want is the top position to be completely silent with not vibrate, the middle to be vibrate with not sounds and the final position to be sound and vibrate. Has anyone found a fix for this?

I would like to use my OnePlus 3 as a desktop kind of substitute kind of, I need a way to cast the screen to a display and plug in a mouse and keyboard. I was thinking of using a USB Type-C (Male) to USB-A (Female) adapter, which would be plugged into a 3-way USB-A adapter allowing for a mouse, keyboard, and one other USB device (USB stick maybe.) As for casting to the screen, I was going to use a chromecast. The total for this with the parts I'm using from here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XMD7KPU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B0D7PMQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3U6V4XPQYK6ZO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815597004&ignorebbr=1 The total for this comes to $70 (espicially since i need quick <5 day shipping but,) I was wandering if this is compatible and if there is anyway i can bring down costs. Lastly, Could anyone recommend any good software which helps android function as a desktop or good desktop to android streaming clients with minimum lag so streaming from two different locations is possible? Thanks everyone EDIT: added cheap ms paint diagram of plan

Hello fellow Tech Warriors!! I've got a query regarding the usage of the Dash charger with multiple devices 1. Oneplus 3 with the Oneplus 3 Cable 2. iPhone 6 with a boAt cable 3. MI 10,000 mAh USB C powerbank, using the oneplus 3 usb C cable I've read that the output of the dash charger is based on the device it's connected to - but could not really find a credible source for the same anywhere. Figured I'd ask you guys if using the combination 2 & 3 above (I know # 1 is safe to use) would damage the battery of the device? Hoping it won't as carrying multiple power bricks is not an ideal solution and since the Oneplus 3 is my daily driver, I would definitely prefer to carry around the Dash power brick Looking for an insight to my query with a hope to earn a bit about how the charger works Cheers & have a great day Nuwaizer

So, a couple of days ago I dropped my OnePlus 3 in the sink in my bathroom while the water was running. So, my immediate reaction is to grab my phone out of the water, and turn it off. Left it turned off while I was going to school, still had it with me though. In class, my phone automatically booted up randomly - I wasn't even touching it - and I immediately turn it off again. A minute later, it does the same. Turn it off again. So it stops turning on randomly for a while. I put it in my pocket when school is done and I get home. After I get home, I go to the train station and I pull my phone out of my pocket out of habit, because I wanted to know what the time was. And it had been automatically turned on again. I checked its uptime and it was about 1 hour. So I figured it would have been done for already if it had taken any damage. Not needing the WiFi for a few days because I was travelling meant that I had WiFi turned off. So I turn it on today and it won't connect to the WiFi in my home. All other devices will. So I check with other networks, no luck there. Everything else in the phone works just fine, cellular data too. It can find all the networks in the area. But when I try to connect, it says "Connecting" and then "Saved". Sometimes after trying to connect, it says "Disabled" instead of "Saved", then goes back to saying "Saved" a few seconds later. I wonder if there might be any permanent damage in my phone. I am a bit confused, because it can still search for networks. Or does anyone have a fix for this?

A really simple question, does the oneplus 3 support m4a audio files?

So I picked up an USB C OTG cable for my Oneplus 2, I plugged it in and then plugged in my flash drive and nothing, I also tried a wireless USB mouse, my Wacom tablet and my keyboard and nothing worked. I have toggled the OTG setting and done multiple restarts of my phone but nothing has worked. I tried it with my brothers Oneplus 3 and the flash drive showed up and worked fine so the cable doesn't seem broken. If anyone know how to fix this that would be great, it's a USB C 3.1 cable to USB A 3.0 if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help and any replies

I got my Oneplus 3 less than a week, but i noticed today that I have a minor Gap between the camera lens and the frame where it sits in. The gaps already has some dust in it. Is this normal?

Greetings! One of my friends would like to get some files off his OnePlus 3 with a broken screen. The screen is black and does not respond to touch. So my first thought when he came to me with it was to just plug it in a computer and run a ADB pull command and get the files off the device. Nope! Turns out the he has not turned developer settings on. This means that USB debugging is disabled. Then I thought "Maybe I could just flash a new recovery on the device and retrieve the files from that.". And again I was disappointing when I found out that of course the OEM is also locked. So no flashing TWRP on that device... So to summaries: Device works and can go in to fastboot or recovery (OnePlus stock recovery). OEM is locked and USB debugging is disabled, so no ADB commands... Fastboot commands work So now you are probably like: "Why don't you just buy a replacement screen?". Well you see I am going to do that later down the line, but I just wanted to pull the files as fast as possible. Any suggestions to what I can do at the moment?

Hey, so I was wondering how good smartphone cameras relative to sort of entry level digital cameras I believe 160$ can get you a great entry level camera. So can some camera savvy people out there tell me if the oneplus 3's camera easily gets beaten by the best 160$ camera or not please?

Hello everyone, I have a Oneplus 3 and a Xiaomi Notebook Air (refreshed, with the 7th gen i5). I was wondering about the devices' chargers intercompatibility and what power bank to buy: the Oneplus charger has an output of 5V 4A, the Xiaomi has 5V 2A, 12V 2A, 9V 2A, 15V 3A, 20V 3.25A. So, can I charge one with the other's charger and vice versa? I've read stuff about USB C power delivery standards, but I didn't understand much about them, so... How exactly does it work? Also, I've found this AUKEY 26500mAh power bank with USB C (5V 3A, 9V 2A, 12V 2A, 14,5V 2A) but even though some outputs are the same as the Xiaomi charger I'm not sure it will be capable of charging it (I've read stuff about the XPS laptops needing 45W output to be charged). So... ELI5 how charging and USB C power delivery work? Thank you for your help

I have just recently updated my OnePlus 3 software to it's latest version (OnePlus A3003_16_171116) and strange thing starts to happen. Yes this update do boot my phone a lot faster, but all the problem that comes with it it's not worth it. 1. It drain the battery like a idk. I'm just using an kind of uber app thing and it drained my battery from 40 to 20 in a few minutes and the phone heats up a lot, this didn't happen on the old version of this software 2. The most important thing is, I CAN'T CONNECT TO MY MOBILE DATA. Nearly everytime i open up my phone, it will always say "mobile data has run out" then when visit my carrier web, i still got 9gb of frkn data. I have to restart my phone like 5 times to get it working. Also sometimes when i start my phone, there's no "mobile data has run out" message but it's simply won't connect to the internet. Anyone know a solution to this because i really need those mobile data. Thanks

I recently brought a Oneplus 3 and want to get a Phantom Glass screen protector for it. The one you can buy from Oneplus doesn't go all the way to the edge and feels horrible. Sadly Phantom Glass don't seem to stock them for the 3, even though they do for the 1 & the 2. Does anyone know why they don't support the 3? Have they announced anything regarding support for the 3? Mike

I heard the point of view linus tried to convey in last WAN Show about quick charging and I have a question. Linus was saying that qucik charging si bad for your battery which should not only be common sense but the problem is the way he explained it. He broke it down to heat degenerating your battery faster. In my case this puts me in a weird position. I have a Oneplus 3 which has Dash charge and charges super duper fast but also doesn't get more than mildly warm. I tried charing "normally" with how ever many amps the brick of the chromecast allowed for and the phone got significantly hotter while chragin way slower. From Linus perspective this would make Dash charge in every way superior to normal charging for the Oneplus 3. Is that the case or did I jump on any missconceptions. Also feel free to get as technical as you want. I will hoepfully be able to understand half of it and the rest I am well willing to be educated about.

Is the Otterbox Case for OnePlus 3 compatible with the OnePlus 3 Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector? Both are from the oneplus shop or alternatively from amazon (https://www.amazon.de/Orzly®-Glasdisplayschutzfolie-Schutzfolie-Panzerglas-abgerundeten/dp/B017HB1FVC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472492611&sr=8-1&keywords=oneplus+3+tempered+glass) My preapplied plastic cover is getting more and more scratched up and I had good experience with glass protectors before. My concern is that the Otterbox which has to wrap around the phone somehow will not fit or peal of the glass protector. Has anybody here tried combining these 2 yet?

So right now i have a iphone 5s and i am so tried of it. It has became so slow and there is a good bit of bugs on it too. I am going to be getting a new phone for Christmas. I has summed it up to ether the oneplus 3 or zte 7. My issue is every other day i go back and forth on witch is better and what i want. I would like to have the nice screen of the 7, but the nice cam of the oneplus. I would like to have the expandable storage, but i make do with 16gb now. And lots of thoughts going back and forth. I just need someone to tell me what would be better. Every one says the oneplus 3 is for some people and the zte 7 is for the other people.

I currently own a Galaxy S3 (GS3) with Virgin Mobile (VM). VM coverage is on the Sprint network using CDMA, The ONLY phones that VM accepts (allows) on their network are phones that VM provides, they have the main stream phones like the GS7 (For $650), they also carry the newest iPhones as well. Plans transfer over to new phones for free, and I am currently paying $35 for unlimited talk, text, and data (First 2gb is high speed data, then its puts rest of data on the wood network, buts its still free). This is a VERY good plan as I got it over 8 years ago, and never stopped it. It used to be $30 but was increased to $35 about 2 years ago due to taxes/inflation. (No contract, VM only does prepay per month). I was really hoping to buy a OnePlus 3 (For $399), but I would have to switch to T-mobile or At&t, and their plans start at $50, and have extra fees if you use too much data. With those numbers I would be making my money back after 16 months of continuous service, and I plan to have me new phone for longer than that. I'v been using my S3 for about 3 years now. TL-DR; Are there any other coverage providers other than T-mobile or At&t that can provide anything close to my current plan ($35 a month unlimited everything)? Or should I just pay the big $650 and use my phone for a year and a half/more?

Hey guys! I decided to buy the OnePlus 3 recently and I finally have it here in my hands. Well sadly whenever I try to turn on the phone it doesn't do anything. I press the power button and nothing. Whenever I plug it in it gives me a OnePlus logo and says 50% Charged. I have left it charging for a few hours and it still says 50% no matter what I do. I tried to factory reset it but whenever I try to get into the other boot menu to reset it by pressing the volume down and power buttons it crashes after about 3 seconds. Needless to say I am sad, frustrated and confused by all of this. I hope some of you Android gods are able to help me. Thanks! Kellen

In terms of reliability, build quality, user experience, support and battery life and other similar factors. Which in your opinions would you say is better as a brand HTC or OnePlus? I'm also welcome to any other brands apart form Apple and Samsung.

I don't know if this can be solved by installing a different Android Version or just by an App so any Mod may feel free to move this to the more appropriate section (not that ie ould need to give permission for that ) I have a OnePlus 3 and the Amp is pretty powerful which is good. I can drive my DT880s as my previous phone drove any normal 100+dB Spl headphones even though they are 96dB Spl. This also comes at a cost. My normal Apple earpods or Bose AE2s which are not around 105dB Spl (I supposed) reach normal listening volume at around 40-50%. That in conclusion lso means that I can with (with Hardware Buttons of course) only cycle that usable are with about 6-7 steps. Those steps are to large imo and any more than rougu adjustment has to be done by hand on the Touchscreen. Is there an App that could gix this like Lux can fix the brightness issues of some Phones or do I need a different Android Version altogether to do what my ear desires: change the size of the volume steps so I essentiallx have to click more to reach full volume but have more control on anything between.

I'm looking for an upgrade to my Galaxy Note 4 (it's over heating, battery life is shit, etc). I've been a follower of OnePlus for a while and had decided for my next phone I would either get a Nexus or a OnePlus phone. Sadly I found out that the OnePlus 2 didn't support CDMA and at the time the Snapdragon 820 was right around the corner so I didn't want to invest in the overheating heap of trash that was the 810. I know that a leak for the new nexus came out recently but I need a phone now. I'm trying to stay away from a Samsung phone because I know that Samsung's long term support is non-existent.

So I ordered a skin on Wednesday morning for my OnePlus 3. Just a back and the top/bottom pieces, nothing out of the ordinary. When I saw that your order is "often done in as little as 12 hours", this was a great sign. So I ordered. Now, About 55 hours later, my order is still pending? How long did everyone here have to wait for their orders? Is this normal waiting time? If you had a really quick or really slow experience, what did you order? Also btw I live in Toronto, so shipping isn't a factor in the (their factory is in Toronto).
