Hello LTT Forum members! I have come in search of answers. After owning this card for over 2 years, my zotac 1080 mini has decided today of all days to start having issues. While the card itself performs fine, one of the two fans has started to spin at max speed without cause, even at idle. The other fan spins at normal speeds and reacts to After Burner just fine. The fan at max speed seems to react as well but will not spin bellow about 75-80% speed even when adjusting it in AB. I have tried installing older NVidia drivers and the problem still persists. However when no drivers are installed the fans behave normally. I have also tried using display driver uninstaller to attempt a fresh install of the latest Nvidia drivers and I have updated my bios, tried physically removing and reinserting the card and have inspected it to ensure there are no loose connections. This issue occurs upon booting into windows and persists the entire time the PC is in use. Any advice would be much appreciated. I just want to play Cyberpunk without my desktop sounding like jet engine.

i bought a laptop with a 1050(not ti) and tried to install geforce experience, but it cannot find my graphics card. so far i've tried: -checking device manager(including hidden devices) = think it is recognized as unknown device - uninstalled the unknown device driver and reinstalling geforce experience. = fail to recognize - nvidia website's gpu detection = cannot detect gpu - directly downloaded driver for win 10 64bit(which is correct) 1050 driver = failed to recognize - do all of the above after rebooting = no good what should i do? since it is a laptop, replacing the card to a different slot is not an option. and i need it in at least 2 days so afterservice is a saving for last resort. reinstall windows?

Hello! I'm pretty new to hacking, kali linux and password cracking. So i wanted to accelerate my hash cracking with my dedicated GPU and in doing so i had to update my Nvidia drivers using this guide. After restarting my system to validate the changes it says "A problem has occurred and the system can't recover. Please log out and try again." After further investigation i discovered that when booting up i get the message "FAILED Failed to start load kernel modules. See 'systemct status systemd-modules-load.service' for details.". I tried to go in recovery mode but i get the same result...

Hi friends, Need help as the nvidia driver 382.05 is causing some issues while playing old and new games. I was playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor 2010 few days ago and both the games are not smooth at all. This issue is with Rise of the Tomb Rider as well. Then I have uninstalled the 382.05 and installed the 375.86. Now there is no issues at all with any games. Can anyone help me with the best driver as the 375.86 is I guess 5 months old.

My specs : mobo : asrock h170/pro4 hyper CPU : intel G4400 gpus: 6 x Gigabytes GTX 1070 psu: corsair 1500 watt OS : ubuntu desktop 16.04 notes: this is a mining rig. 5 GPUs connected to mobo through x1 pcie risers, 6th GPU connect to Mobo through M2 slot. Risers and gpus aren't the problem because for any combination of 4 out of 6 cards. System operates as expected. When all 6 cards are installed to mobo, lspci | grep -i vga reports all 6 cards with busID from 1 through 6, but only 4 are detected by nvidia-smi and operate. dmesg | grep -i nvidia reports this for the 2 cards not detected by smi (busID either 4 and 5, 5 and 6, or 4 and 6): NVRM: This PCI I/O region assigned to your NVIDIA device is invalid: So I thought my chipset doesn't have enough pcie lanes and the M2's x4 took all the lane, but when I look up in intel main page. Intel H170 chipset (my mobo's chipset) has 16 pcie lanes. My 5 gpus (x1), 2 of which use cpu's lanes (the x8 and x16 slot), so 3 + 4 (the M2 slot) = 7 lanes taken from chipset's 16 pcie lanes. Therefore, my mobo should be able to handle 6 gpus, right? How do I get it going??

I updated my GPU drivers to 441.12 and ever since then every application is either blurry or over sharpened. I have noticed it is some setting that is causing this in combination with another, but I can't figure out if thats it exactly. I have attached an image of how the over sharpening looks like in applications and my nvidia Global settings.

Hello, I am new to this forum, So I don’t know the protocols or what to do etc. I have a problem: Whenever I open a game like GTA or something else that is GPU intensive, The screen just goes black, And the GPU fan goes 100% (4100RPM i measured with a tachometer). I checked Event Viewer to ensure something isn’t wrong with my drivers/software, but nothing to be seen. I have tried everything in the book; Fresh installing Nvidia drivers, Trying different OS like Ubuntu and Windows 7 etc, Lowering down settings in games, Limiting VRAM usage, Under-clocking my core Hz from 980MHz to 800 and memory also by a -100MHz, Checking temps (only gets up to 70C which is normal on a FE). I must admit, My card (A Founders 780Ti) is 250 and my PSU is only 550W (The issue I think is also by the CPU i7-3970X also another ~200W) Because of this concern, I did a mad lad move and installed a secondary PSU externally and jumping the green wire on 24-pin with ground and connecting both the 6Pin and the 8Pin required only to the secondary PSU and the other reserved for the Mobo, CPU, etc.. However, This had no difference on the frequency in “crashes”. I had lost hope and tried the last resort, Changing the thermal paste (Even though core temps were ~60C, the air and the PCI back plate measured 80C using a Flir IR camera) I used Thermal Grizzly Liquid Metal, And has not made a difference. I think the situation is something to do with the card itself, So I contacted Nvidia, But they couldn’t help. Any help here would be greatly appreciated as this is my childhood rig from 2012-2013 and I need it back. Any experiences or thoughts, Please drop it down in the thread. Thanks to all. -Angle My specs: i7-3970X @3.5GHz (LGA 2011, No OC) Asus X79 Sabertooth Motherboard 2x DDR3 8GB RAM 1600 MHz GeForce GTX 780Ti (Founders, Mfg by Palit) 550W PSU, Azza fusion 4000 case. If you need any logs, etc i can provide that. thanks again

Hi guys, i wanted to make out of an old laptop a little Steam Link Maschine to play in the living room. All worked out pretty well with the nvidia version. I just got still issues with my grapics card. This laptop got an old GTX 630M and I tried to get it running, but the nvidia x server settings show up empty and also nvidia-settings shows that the driver is not running. Does anybody know, how to get this solved? Would it help to install an old driver? Best Andreas

hello! PC: AMD A10 7860k GA-F2A68HM-DS2 BEQUIET! Pure Power 10 500W Ram: Kingston 8gb OLD GPU is ZOTAC GT 730 so recently i procured a GTX 780ti Reference Card (was previously running a water block, currently is running the reference cooler) the problem at hand is when i connected the dvi to the monitor there is no post/no display signal i have gone trough most of the troubleshooting methods such as i used DDU on to clean both amd and nvidia drivers i tried disabling the intergrated which is the R7 and there were no boot when i connected onto both motherboard and graphics card im really confused as the problem started when i was installing the Nvidia Driver (didnt succeed) it stopped at failed to install cause it couldnt detect the compatible hardware i tried the method to copy the hardware id but it is not popping up in the device manager. the only thing popping up in the device manager is a standard vga adapter but it has the hardware id of my radeon R7 APU integrated (this was quite rushed looking for help!) on a side note everything clicked in place the power cable Vga1 (8 pin) and then the vga2 (6 pin) Fans Spin and the lighting on the cooler was glowing

My Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce arrived yesterday (finally) and I ran into some problems. First the specs, this is my casual gaming 1080p@60FPS secondary PC in my living room. Mainboard: Gigabyte Z97P-D3 CPU: Intel I5 4690K @ 4,8Ghz; 1,35V; (bequiet Shadow Rock 2) RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares DDR3 @1600Mhz CL10 Storage: 1TB HDD + 128 GB SSD GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce [Factory Overlocked 1582Mhz Core/1797 Boost/2000Mhz (8000Mhz GDDR5) Memory] Monitor: LG somethingsomething 1080p/60hz IPS monitor - Displayport 1.2 PSU: Seasonic X series 1050W 80+Gold (this is from my main PC only used here for testing) Windows 10 Home Nvidia drivers 372,54 Now to the problem: This is my first Gigabyte GPU so I downloaded their own OC software (XTREME GAMING ENGINE) which for some reason would not regocnize the GPU at first and when I fixed that it wouldn't get into OC mode. So I went back to Afterburner and did some mild OC +100Mhz on core and +300Mhz on memory + custom fancourse ofc. 1 hour MSI Kombustor = no problems temps 67°C max. Upped OC +200Mhz on core +500Mhz memory again 1 hour Kombustor no problems temps reaching 72°C max. I was happy with that for now and ran GTA V, about 15 minutes driving around aimlessly I got a message "nvidia driver has stopped responding and has recovered". Never mind I ran Witcher 3 about 5 minutes into the game same error message. Dialed OC to +160Mhz/+480Mhz and ran Intel Stress test 1 hour, again no problem Back to GTA V after 10-15 minutes again same error message, same with Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor or Crysis 3. Reverted back to factory clocks and the error message still persists when gaming. Now I ran Aida64 for 2 hours and no such problem. What should I do? Anybody experience anything of the sort with other GTX 10 series cards? Should I RMA the card or is this just a driver issue?

So here is the problem: A friend of mine rocks an mATX PC with 3-way SLI Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980s (i know it's dumb), an ROG Swift monitor, 5960x on a Rampage V Extreme with 16GB of Corsair Dominator Platinums, and 1 Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD. System was rocking flawlessly on windows 7 pro 64 bit until 1 week ago when my friend moved to his vacation home for a week. His PC worked fine, he moved it, started it and.....nothing. The system will boot to windows and will give a black screen after the welcome landing screen. It stays there indefinitely. The system did however boot in safe mode and he deleted the driver with DDU. This allowed him to boot normally and reinstall the driver. The problem came back immediately. We tried System Restore, the windows update driver, and reinstalling windows as a final measure. The problem is still here, except that on the new install he can't even get safe mode to work. The 980s are recognized in the BIOS and in safe mode (when it worked), but when u get the nvidia driver into play...... it craps itself. Since the 980s work, i'm starting to blame it on the nvidia g-sync scaler in the monitor. If u have idea, give them here, quickly. My friend is so frustrated he wants to sell this beast and get a PS4 + Macbook -.-

Planning to buy Cpu - Intel E3 1231 v3 Mb - Asus h97-plus Gpu - Asus gtx 970 strix Psu - Corsair CS 650w Case - Corsair Carbide 300r Ram - Corsair 1x 8gb Vengeneance CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 Dvd drive - Asus DRW-24D3ST Monitor - Benq XL2420Z As Xeon doesn't comes with integrated intel HD video graphics and I wouldn`t be able to install the nvidia graphic drivers, because i have to unplug the video card (so the whole system would not work). Am i wrong? Will I have any problems in future for updating gtx 970 drivers using xeon processor? This is my first forum post but don't worry I'm not a computer noob. I have recently purchased a gtx 970 Gigabyte G1 video card that has not performed as expected, i have overclocked the card +125 MHZ without any fragmenting or crashes and am quite happy with that. However, when i run gpu-z or MSI afterburner while gaming the card does not once get over 80% and seldom gets over 50%. Now before you say that the card is being bottle necked I have proof otherwise. My CPU is an 8320 @ 4.3 GHz and my primary drive is an 840 evo. When I monitor the CPU I get very solid numbers around 80% at most in games like BF4 and Far cry 4. While this is happening I average around 70fps in bf4 while around 60 in fc4 (both in 1080p). The games are not in V-sync either so that can be eliminated. I game on a 144Hz monitor and the games are adjusted accordingly. Sometimes when i use the DSR feature that nvidia has the GPU will have a higher usage and even get higher average fps with a greater resolution which is mind bogling. I simply cannot figure out why nothing is topped out yet it is capping at below 100%? I have tweaked setting for hours on end ( including but not limited to power consumption, alternate voltage clocks, and alternate core clocks) and scoured every forum that I could find for the solution to this issue.... but no cigar. I did find a petition to send to Nvidia to fix issues like this and have seen a 200 page forum about it but still nothing. I have been trying to fix this for months and greatly appreciate any help I can get.

So I've been playing Planetside 2 for a little while now and I've only just been recently experiencing this issue. When I'm playing Ps2 my screen will sometimes go black and freeze and I'll get a notification on my desktop that says my Nvidia driver had stopped working and recovered. It's getting kind of annoying as it happens 2 to 3 times every time I play and sometimes doesn't recover. Can you offer any help/advice? Here's my parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/M7S

Getting some mad microstutter in BF3 all of a sudden. PC spec is in sig. played at 1080p with everything cranked up. Not overly sure what the real problem is.

Has anyone had luck finding a working Nvidia Display driver for Build 9926? The couple I tried wouldn't even start to install due to compatibility issues. My 1080p display is stuck at 1280x1024 Note: I'm running Win 10 on Oracle VM VirtualBox, if that makes a difference(?).
