My laptop specs: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 Intel Core i5 10300H GTX 1650 ti 32GB Kingston DDR4 3200Mhz Ram SK Hynix Factory SSD 256GB Toshiba HDD 1TB Context and Background: So this laptop has been used for the span of 3 years and has been experimented on by me with performance optimizations like the extreme type of messing with the registry and all that settings, over the course I've encountered many issues I have fixed or resolved and had a trial and error learning on this laptop I repaired, cleaned, and factory this laptop multiple times, recently I just built a new pc and I wanted to take my laptop's SSD that I upgraded (Samsung 980 Pro 1TB) so I moved that to my pc and moved the laptop's original SSD which was on the PC as a boot drive and I moved it back to the laptop, it booted fine however my PC had AMD specs and software everywhere so I figured to factory reset my laptop as usual using the settings (I got lazy to use the USB) so after installing everything worked in order and I got ready to install drivers, I installed every driver at the same time via windows update and from the manufacturer's site, however when I got to the intel drivers (I used the intel utility software that detects and updates the drivers for you the screen started glitching and bugging as earlier, it was only black and some flickering on the top portion, so I went ahead and connected it to a display, i then tried uninstalling the display drivers and monitor and reinstalled older versions of the intel driver, I also checked the ACER website and found no display drivers on there but I installed everything listed there that was compatible for my laptop before reinstalling the intel drivers and still nothing happened, over the course of 3 days I tried trial and error and factory reset my laptop 4 times using the settings app, I then noticed after the first restart that the screen wont work when opening the bios or UEFI when I tried following several guides online on how to fix it. I tried DDU but still the same issue, the only solution I have not yet tried is ones concerning the UEFI settings and bios. I looked into the acer forum to see if I could somehow get the bios or windows recovery menu into the display but no solutions popped up and non of the existing ones worked apparently some guy said that the laptop was only designed to display the bios and UEFI on the laptop screen itself This morning as I am writing this, I tried to boot into safe mode using the TeamViewer panel on which it did boot however I lost contact and tried force restarting the laptop, after several cycles of the display just glitching again I assumed something was stopping it from booting into windows. I then opened up the laptop and unplugged everything and reset the CMOS battery, no luck, I tried taking out the boot drive and only the windows USB installer and still nothing. P.S. This laptop had a display glitch a year ago but this was caused by burn in as I left the screen on for the entire night as I was running trading bots on it overnight, I took it to a repairshop and they turned me down because they said it was hard to fix the display cable was too sensitive to replace because it's a high refresh rate screen, I then fixed it by using a youtube video that flashed every color rapidly to fix burn in, had it fixed after 1 week of running it non stop.

Hey, im not sure if this is the right topic so excuus me on forehand. My question is; how is the supply world wide of Sapphire 6800 XT? I managed to order one from a not super nice webshop (after reading reviews, negative reviews are mostly about not meeting the delivery times). Well, i have trust in them since i never bought anything from them but the reviews are not that good. Now, they say that they can deliver the gpu in about 1-2 weeks and supply is expected. Does anyone know something about the supply of sapphire amd 6800 XT? I know gigabyte is supplying a lot, but how does sapphire?

Hey everyone, so I am trying to find a good monitor... I had an Acer Nitro 1440p 32" (non curved) that ended up display black bars at the top, returned it, got the replacement home, HORRIBLE light bleed in the bottom left, retruned it, got the Samsung G7 (dumped extra money into that purchase), got it home, DEAD PIXELS! So my question is.... Do I give the Samsung G7 (32" 1440p) another chance with a replacement or do I go with something else? I was looking at maybe.. ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B 34" UWQHD <--- Any opinions?

Hello everyone! I bought a new Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-45) and the built-in mic doesn't seem to work. It was working before but now it doesn't pick up my voice or any other sound. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, disabling the device and 'sfc /scannow' command but to no avail. I've also checked the privacy settings and everything for microphone is turned on. It worked randomly at first but after restarting it went back to not working. I'm wondering if it is some kind of bug in the Windows 11 or hardware issue. The laptop is barely a month old. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this issue? Thank You

So I have this Acer Nitro VG270U 27’ IPS panel. For a few weeks now I’ve had this issue where I get these fragmented lines on my screen? It doesn’t happen on my second monitor and disappears after a minute or two. Provided is the link to a video that shows the issue. https://imgur.com/gallery/rov2yYH I bought the monitor brand new a few months back, so I doubt the monitor is dying, and I don’t think it’s the graphics card since like I said, it only happens on my main monitor. even if the screen is dying I’d love more insight as to what is actually happening here as I can’t find any answers anywhere else. Thanks guys!

Hey guys! How is it going? My Acer Nitro always had some weird moments when I boot my PC. Sometimes displaying a blurry image or some arctifacts. But always quickly fixed by turning it off and on again. Yesterday I had a realy weird horizontal line at the top of the display, and the windows image was quite frozen. I switched displayport cables, power outlet, updated drivers, turned it off and on, did everything to troubleshoot... And for my surprise the problem is using combined the 165hz rate with the ultra-low-latency mode. The weird fact to me is that I've always used the monitor on those settings. Why suddenly this became a problem? Anyone here had the same problem in the past? Any hint or tips on how to fix it? Thx =D

Basically all I do on my PC is gaming (Apex and Dota 2 with the occasional triple A tittle here and there). I would like to set my monitor with a colorful and enjoyable image, I don't really care about accuracy, just give me all the colors! I'm not sure if I need to set my monitor to the color Space General or DCI. Reading some reviews, it seems that Standard Mode delivers good settings, but I'm not completely sure. These are the reviews that I found: Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx Review - RTINGS.com Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx Monitor Review: Your Money’s Worth | Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com) Can someone confirm if general color space is the right one?

So, this laptop is new, and the problem showed up after a week. It randomly "flickers" sometimes not every time. I brought it to Acer Service Center and got the LCD replaced and the issue still shows, tried doing a clean install of Windows 11 and still has the same issue, tried resetting and still the same issue, got it diagnosed in Acer's Office and it said, "No Trouble Found", downgraded it to Windows 10 and still has the issue, tried updating the graphics drivers and still has the issue, also tried doing a clean install of graphics drivers and still has the issue. What do you think is the problem? Please help because I need this laptop for school, thank you. 324671120_5880064438725336_937532622323971910_n.mp4 323651474_8437599166310288_4770523994992088771_n.mp4

Ok somehow the wife’s Acer nitro n50-620 blew its psu without blowing the surge board that is was plugged into anyway I’m getting the blame so I need help finding a replacement psu and/or a way to macgyver a standard one to work it runs a six pin (which only has five cables in it) for board power and two four pins for cpu. Gpu is board powered and it runs two m.2s from what I’ve read else where it’s a 500w psu I’ve attached photos of the plugs and psu -
I was looking for a 1440p 144Hz monitor and found out about this monitor after looking at a local online retailer and it really seems intriguing to me. What do you guys think about this particular monitor? Here's a few links for reference: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.CX0AA.P05 https://store.acer.com/en-my/nitro-xv340ck-p I couldn't find reviews for them and the few I found were saying it's a good monitor for the price but with a few drawbacks like brightness at 250nits, flat screen and the maybe some nitpicks that doesn't really concern me. I'm not too sure whats the difference between the model names as some stores I find the model names with/without the P at the end. Though looking at the spec sheets, it seems to be the same thing. I currently only have a single 24" 1080p monitor (Viewsonic XG2402) and honestly feel like at this point anything is an upgrade from it. It seems that in the US it's selling for $600? However, in my country I can find it for $400 which is the cheapest ultrawide monitor I could find with the specs it offers. Other monitors of note: Acer CB342CK - $350 - This model is basically the same monitor as the XV340CK except its only 75Hz. However, I'd probably spend the extra $50 to get XV340CK for its 144Hz. Acer X34p - $700 - I'd take that the X34p is much better than the XV340CK but the price tag is steering me away from it. MSI MAG341CQ - $610 - Similar specs to the XV340CK, difference is this is VA panel, 100 Hz only with 8ms response time, but at least its curved. But honestly at this price range, I'd probably get the X34p over this. Edit1: Also, I will mainly use this monitor for gaming; Apex Legends or other FPs games, Monster Hunter World and other various RPG games like Division 2. I also do coding on the side and watch Youtube/videos/movies etc. Any input from you guys would be appreciated.

Hello community, I am new to the PCMR scene and will be creating a new PC soon. Due to budget constraints I have mostly decided to use older hardware so I can learn before I can jump into expensive hardware. I have 2 R9 Fury Nitro cards from Nitro and I noticed that on my motherboard (MSI X370 Carbon) the cards are very close to each other. The two cards generate some heat (quite a lot actually) and get loud under load. As such, k thought for aesthetic reasons, I should try custom water-cooling. I was wondering if someone has previously had experienced custom water-cooling for Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro cards. So far I have found only 3 waterblocks: Swiftech Komodo, Alphacool Nexxxo and Bykski. Additionally what radiator size should be used. I am using a Corsair crystal 570x case.

I am going to get this laptop Flipkart Link Getting the intel one Questions about the refresh rate. This seems to be the best laptop in my budget. Given the fact that I can't go any higher than this budget wise. So should I go for it or is there anything else. Let me know. I'm nervous because there is always a better option. Use cases:- Photoshop and other Adobe Products CSGO (Can I stream it?) Other games (even if they don't run, I don't care, CSGO for life) And whatever you do on your laptop generally. I don't think I will be wrong going with it. Let me know.

When CF is enabled, the 2nd card's lights turn off. When CF is disabled both cards' lights are on. Anyone know how to fix this? Want to have both of their LEDs light up during CF mode.

Which of these two cards is quieter and cooler? The Sapphire looks much better, but the MSI seems to be quieter (it's basically an uglier last-gen Gaming X cooler). I have the RX 480 Nitro+ (1342 Mhz Edition) This card has been driving me absolutely insane, as I cant get it to hold any kind of stable overclock. At bare stock settings. Core Clock: 1342 Mhz Core Volts: 1150 mv Mem Clock: 2000 Mhz Idle Temps: Mid 40's Load Temps: High 60's At bare stock with change of thermal paste (Changed to Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut) Core Clock: 1342 Mhz Core Volts: 1150 mv Mem Clock: 2000 Mhz Idle Temps: Low 40's Load Temps: Low 60's Next I wanted to see how low i could get the core voltage at stock settings Core Clock: 1342 Mhz Core Volts: 1129 mv (-21) Mem Clock: 2000 Mhz Idle Temps: Low 40's Load Temps: High 50's/Low 60's Now I start off with a mild overclock. (this is the only one that is stable) Core Clock: 1375 Mhz Core Volts: 1150 mv Mem Clock: 2000 Mhz Idle Temps: Low 40's Load Temps: Low 60's The problems start when the system uses anything above the stock vcore. 1375 is about the max i can manage to have stable on the stock 1150mv vcore. It might be able to use a little more (at my current 1375 settings it will sometimes stutter) but adding the minimum amount of vcore (+6), makes it unstable. For any clocks that require additional vcore the result is the same, I get maybe about 30 seconds (I can get almost through the first pass of firestrike) and then the system freezes up, and has to be reset. It doesnt matter if im at 1400 and +20 or at 1475 and +100. It will seemingly run fine for ~30 seconds then freezes the system up. Its possible that i got a turd chip, but I think there might be another issue with the card thats keeping me from hitting higher speeds. Any ideas are appreciated

update!!!- my friend brought his new i3 rig over and we installed it in his pc, card and driver's work fine now. I guess my pc is just too old and broken to make this card work, building a new rig soon Hi I'm hoping someone can help me out here, I recently purchased a sapphire nitro rx460 4gb card from my local microcenter because they had one on an open box sale. Put it in my pc(outputting to display), and downloaded the latest crimson drivers from amd, I tried to launch the setting app. And got a message saying no amd drivers or currents drivers not working. Tried reinstalling the same drivers and then got a message saying the it was unable to open because it couldn't create a path for opengl( some specifics locations can't remember off the top of my head). And got this same problem with the drivers from the CD in the box, as well as older crimson drivers. I made sure my graphics card was installed properly and that the 6-pin power case connected. Dell XPS 410 Q6600 quad core 2.4ghz 4gb Kingston value ram 260gb no name SSD Windows 7 64-bit home premium Nvidia 9600gt (Replaced with rx460) I will post some screen shots later once I am back home but maybe someone might know what's going on update: added pictures maybe this will help

Would My Cooler Master gx550 550w psu handle the Nitro R9 Fury (preferably with overclocking). I tried using a few pc power consumption calculated but the answers ranged from 46x to 72x... Would the extra bucks for a psu upgrade be worth it? Since the sale is ending tmr, I would really appreciate some fast responses. Thank you very much guys! Plan to game in 1080p and mostly play open-world rpg / action games, occasionally FPS. (Both are at the same price but I may have to upgrade my PSU for Fury) Fury for more "graphic power" and 480 for more VRAM... Aw man I can't decide which one to get! Mind helping me out guys? I recently bought a secondhand Sapphire Nitro R9 380. My computer stuck at BIOS with code 5A at the bottom right of the screen. My processor is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, motherboard Intel DX38BT, and Excel 500WCE PSU. The computer works fine when I used AMD Radeon HD 6850. Anyone have a suggestion?

I built my pc with a i7 core 6700k cpu, a Gigabyte GA-H170M-DS3H motherboard, a 500 watts PSU, and my friend bought me the Sapphire Nitro Radeon RX-460 OC graphics card. I installed windows, an SSD boot drive, and a HDD 1 TB for extra storage. It worked perfect. When I got the graphics card, I installed it, powered up the comptuer, went into the Bios to disable the integrated graphics (graphics card manual stated that should be done first before it boots up). When I started the computer after that, The comptuer was acting weird, it was so slow...Then after a 3rd time of checking cables and making sure the card was seated properly, it wouldn't send a signal to my monitor and the computer wouldn't power up. I had to disable the card which made my computer work again. How can I fix this?

Hey there guys, I recently bought an Acer Nitro 5 Spin, and I'm satisfied with it for the most part. The Keyboard backlight seems to have an annoying timer that disables the keyboard backlight after 30 seconds. I read somewhere online that this could be solved by updating the BIOS to version 1.25 and I was hoping one of you could help me figure this out. Oh, also if someone could help me install NitroSense on here, it would be great. Thanks in advance, Lord Destrian
