Budget (including currency): 2000 EUR. Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant (Good FPS above 300), Python Programming, Finite Element Simulations, Julia and other Programming involving complex simulations. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc.): I have a old HP ZBook 360x which is shit with gaming, I am now starting my master's study, so I want a new pc which I can use for gaming and study at the same time. I want at least 1080p HD Resolution and Refresh rate above 300 fps for valorant which is my main game. Important Note : I have never ever built a pc in my life do I need some tools to install all the components in the pc, pls include all that and I am afraid if I should go for pre-builds because I might fuck up the assembly with making sure the cables go in the right place and am not that good with the compatibility between parts, so please help this pc noob. I am planning to build my pc by this month when I move to the Uni on 22nd August, so preferably around that date. PC Builds - Budget: 2000 EUR - Zip Code or Location: Netherlands - Specific Use: Gaming / Programming / Study - Any preferred components: No idea if i should go Nvidia or AMD - Any spare parts you can re-use? no - Overclocking your processor? Actually, I have no idea what this means, would it be useful for my needs of gaming/ programming and study? if not then no. - Need an Operating System? Yes - Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard? Yes - Need a Wireless Card or Adapter? Yes - Need Another Component? (Specify): I want to include RGB and a sleek and stylish looking pc box so its colorful, but if it's not possible with the budget I don't mind compromising it. aesthetics is secondary to budget. Other Useful Info - Preferred Case Features (Ex: Color, Side Window, Flashy): Good Ventilation & filters, RGB, good cable management. - Number of Monitors:1 - Other Info? Looking forward to your advice and help regarding this. Also feel free to suggest any amendments to my specifications, I am open to anything since I am completely new to pc building. Thanks in advance. - Krish

Hello everyone, Currently I have the Zotac GTX 750 Zone Edition, which I must say has done its job pretty well, but clearly it is not powerful enough for recent games in 4K (or 1080p even). I liked my old games such as HλLF-LIFE2 and the Mass Effect series in 4K, though. Now, I’d like to play MGSV, DCS World, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc. I am from the Netherlands, and see the following prices: Asus GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition: €657 (€794.50 including tax) Asus GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix non-OC: €679 (€821.59 including tax) Asus GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix OC: €743 (€899 including tax) The Strix non-OC is just €20 more expensive than the FE, so the FE is out of the question—besides I prefer a silent card (hence the Zotac Zone Edition 0dB card I currently own). The standard pricing for the FE is around €679 (€829 incl. tax), anyway. But then, what about the €60–70 price difference from the non-OC / OC version? My MOBO as far as I am aware has no overclock capabilities (or I am a noob and do not know what I am talking about). And I prefer stability over performance. My PC specs are: CASE: NZXT H440 MOBO: Asus H97-PRO Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 + Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 16 GB RAM Zotac GTX 750 Zone Edition MONITOR: Eizo FlexScan EV3237 (Ultra HD monitor, by the way recommended, Linus should review it) SPEAKERS: Presonus Eris E4.5. HEADPHONES: Denon AH-D5000 AUDIO INTERFACE: PreSonus FireStudio Mobile KEYBOARD + MOUSE: Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Thanks in advance. Manolito Mystiq

Hey guys, I plan on building a gaming pc for around 800 dollars (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NZ8RLk) but when I wanted to check out on newegg, it turned out that I had to pay a total of 500 dollars of shipping :0 I live in the Netherlands, and I wanted to know if there are some webshops that have reasonable international shipping prices. if the shipping prices are under 200 dollar total it is still cheaper then the dutch site (keep the possible price increase in mind please). I was wondering if any of you know a site like that, please let me know if you do. If you have advice on my build you can also let me know

I couldn't find any information about the locations they are able to ship the Titan XP to. I live in the Netherlands and does anybody know if they ship to the Netherlands or if anyone knows how to still get one? Do they sell the card in the EU or only in the US?

Hello, Recently, we upgraded from a simple ADSL connection to a coax connection, and with that much higher speeds. (19/2 @ Tele2 to 200/20 @ Ziggo ) At first our only problem was a faulty router limiting the speed and quality of the connection, so we replaced that with a different one. We went about 2 months without any issues, but since a week we keep getting more and more connection failures (browser states that there is a DNS problem). They're very short outages but they're annoying nonetheless. Is there any way to fix this? Here's how the network is set up: Ethernet coming in > Coax to upstairs area > ISP Modem/router > 20 meter Cat5e cable to back room > TP Link Archer C2 > 10 meter Cat5e cable to my room > TP Link TL-WDR3600 I know it's not very convenient, but it's the only way me and my room-mate can connect all our devices without disturbing my landlord's devices. There are no conflicts in the network, i have access to everything (My landlord asked me to do all the networking) and i can't think of anything that could be wrong, yet we experience this. Any help is much appreciated.

I've done a bit of research on comparing US prices to Dutch prices, and I took a Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti Amp! edition on pcpartpicker it says it's $615,99. Then I look on a Dutch price compare website and it says it's €687,09 which, when translated to dollar is $783,90, which is a huge difference! I know there is things as import tax (which I hate) and transport costs but still, a difference of $167,91 which is insane! I could buy a good motherboard or cpu for that!

I find it kinda sucky that the court ruled in favour of Samsung. When buying something as expensive as a mid-tier smartphone, I want to know how long it will be supported. I agree with the consumers' association that smartphone's should be supported for at least 2 years. Samsung is peppering the market with a ton of different devices but doesn't support them long enough, even for basic things like bugs. I believe this is not in favour of consumers. The Consumers' Association is considering further steps. I personally hope that they succeed. What do you think? source(translated): https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=nl&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=nl&tl=en&u=https://www.computable.nl/artikel/nieuws/mobility/5717335/250449/consumentenbond-verliest-update-zaak-samsung.html&usg=ALkJrhjmOa6tI2SZTV3J_Cp0moCUmUZLDg

Hello people So I moved to my new place in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam and obviously first thing I checked was the connection speed and was slightly disappointed. Upon further investigation I discovered that I have a DSL router from KPN which explained the low speeds. However, I also noticed a brand new cable in there that looked much like a coaxial internet cable that I had in my old place. Below is the picture of the cable I found. so the question .... Is this really what I think it is - an internet cable ? Thanks in advance guys !!!

The Dutch government is ******... Plz read this... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/08/dutch_snooping_law_revamp/ Quote "The proposed update of the Intelligence & Security Act of 2002 would establish bulk interception powers for “any form of telecom or data transfer”. As well as metadata, the revamp would allow the Dutch intelligence services to compel anyone to help decrypt data, either by providing encryption keys or turning over decrypted data." Here is the explanation... https://blog.cyberwar.nl/2015/07/dutch-intelligence-bill-proposes-non-specific-bulk-interception-powers-for-any-form-of-telecom-or-data-transfer-incl-domestic/ And the original Dutch law proposal... http://www.internetconsultatie.nl/wiv What do you guys think of this?

Hey guys! A week or two ago my FX-8320 stopped working so after contacting AMD support I sen't it to the Netherlands in the hopes that the warranty would cover it (I live in Europe) Earlier today their DHL service delivered a new CPU to me, but to my surprise, it was a FX-8350 !! I know there's not so much of a difference, but still, I am very thankful for AMD to do this for free. I've read online about people that were offered either the same CPU or a different version, but never something actually better ! Has this ever happened to anyone else? What's your experience with hardware warranties ? [sorry for my english]

Vodafone in the Netherlands about to get rid of slow-speed customers. Vodafone in the Netherlands, a daughter-company lead by KPN announced they are going to disconnect a few hundred people off of their customer list because their speeds are below 12 megabit. This has been confirmed by Vodafone after a Tweakers.net user (Dutch tech-website) received a letter in which the new policy was explained. From the 30th of March Vodafone will be rolling out this new policy in which 12 megabit per second is a minimum for Vodafone-home customers. Customers which can't get those speeds because they're too far from the central-point will be disconnected. The provider also cancels all support for isdn-connections from the 30th of March. Both cases are on the network of KPN. The reason behind this decision is vague, spokesman Jasper Koek claims it's done to "generate a certain quality" "We looked at which minimum speed we need to offer to get the quality you expect to get" says Koek. The minimum-limit of 12 megabit applies to all customers. "An internetspeed of less than 12 megabit a second is not sufficient for all the services we provide." says Koek. Customers with less than 12 megabit are no longer accepted, even doing a postcode check as a new customer shows you won't be accepted. The decision causes hundreds of Vodafone-customers to have to switch to another ISP. According to Koek it's "a mere few hundred customers, less than a thousand". Of those few hundred customers 200 have isdn-connections; the rest of them have a slow asdl-connection. Customers can switch to another dsl-provider, or if possible choose for cable or glass-fibre provider. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is bullshit, those people would've probably already jumped to another provider with those speeds, obviously they can't switch to cable or glass-fibre, those would've already been connected as they want as much customers as possible. Article (Dutch): http://tweakers.net/nieuws/100790/vodafone-gaat-thuis-klanten-met-trage-verbinding-afsluiten.html

Hello everybody I am looking to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard. I did a little research and came to the conclusion that I wanted to go with Cherry MX Brown switches. I am looking for a keyboard with (preferably) customizable key backlighting and dedicated macro buttons. My budget is around ~€125,- but not limited to. Does anybody have suggestions? Thanks, Djallx

so, a -not so tech savvy- friend of mine wants a desktop, but has very little money for it. he's currently using a macbook pro (dont even ask about specs, he doesnt know himself) the budget is around €600 (netherlands) if it can be pushed lower, thats much appreciated. the most difficult to run game he currently owns is thief, he's also a big fan of portal 2. (which he creates maps for, part of the move to pc is for anvil) he's also looking into unreal engine 4 development. other than that its all social networks. there is no preference for brands at all, it just needs to perform the best it can for the money. (so no platinum power supplies folks) since he's about as tech savvy as my grandma, he wont be building it himself, and i'm probably gonna suggest him to use alternate's build service. (meaning components need to come from https://www.alternate.nl) the service costs €50 DO NOT SAY HE CAN BUILD IT HIMSELF! he cant, trust me, he can barely operate a mac... needs to include operating system, (as far as i know) doesnt need to include peripherals. sidenote: i dont need the intel/nvidia VS amd argument here, i need what performs best for the money, if you think one performs better than the other, provide results that it does.
