Hopefully the title got your attention. Obviously I'm not serious but there is no logic with my problem so that can only points towards a mysterious entity within my mobo Problem: If I shut down my Pc overnight or for some long period of time. It will not turn on again If I turn it off briefly, it will boot again if without issue. I have bridged the pins on the 24 pin connector and confirm the PSU is supplying power. The only way I get get it to turn on is not based on any logic, connections, electronic components. It based on random luck without any input from myself. I will attempt to turn it on numerous times, just mashing the power button. Nothing happens, I try again 10 minutes later, an hour later, 2 hours later. Nothing! Then when I'm not even in the same room as the pc, it will boot by itself! also take note I have confirmed the problem is not the switch itself. (I have also bridged these pins to confirm it will not start like that that) PC: Asus Prime X470 Pro Ryzen 3700X G Skill 32GB 3600Mhz 2070 Super Samsung Evo 1TB SSD I have tried everything, full disassemble, reassemble with only the basic hardware, confirm connections, test power on main cables. But what is comes down to is the mobo will not boot until a random time that it feels like it. My only idea could be something to do with a capacitor, perhaps not charged enough? who knows. I don't want to buy a new motherboard as it works perfectly when it's turned on. I just don't turn it off anymore. but sometimes it just happens and I can't use my PC What would the next point to troubleshoot, test with multi meter? Any real advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Spec: Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk (Bios fully updated) OS: Windows 11 64 GPU: MSI 2060 Ventus CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 16gb 3200 Hi everyone, my problem is the following, connected to my pc via jack I have two speakers which works perfectly stereo, but every headphone I try to connect only play sound on the left side, the mic one. I've tried two perfectly new out of the box set, one with jack connection and the other USB and both had the same issue. I've already tried all the cheap solution, like checking the sound balance setting, uninstalling and reinstalling driver and nothing change. Kinda desperate honestly.

Hi guys, I'm picking up a mixer to assist with a podcast I want to start up. I'm looking at getting this one here: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Analog-Mixers/Q502USB/p/P0ALL On two of the line-ins you'll notice that they're labelled '2/3' and '4/5', what does this mean? Also, on these two line-ins again you'll see that it says mono above the left input, does this mean I should be able to plug my iPad in for sound effects and it'll get processed as mono sound and it won't only come through the left side of the recording? Will all the inputs come through into the output simultaneously?

If i plug anything in the headphone jack of my front panel i get only sound on one side. If i plug it in in the microphone jack i get 2 channel sound (this works with realtek). So what should i do, how can i repair it? (I already checked the balancing)

Hello everyone, Today my sound started to act up. When i plug in my regular 'jack'-headset i have nice stereo sound. If i plug in my USB-headset (Razer kraken pro 7.1), i only get sound through the left side. BUT It gets weirder ... when i plug in my 7.1 surround sound system (via HDMI on my motherboard) i get sound trough all the speakers, BUT only music, speech / dialogue seems to be muffled all the way into the background. So watching series is a nightmare ... Things i have tried: -> uninstalled Razer synapse and Razer surround. -> uninstalled any other sound related software i could find (Realtek HD audio manager) -> checked to make sure that balance is equal to left and right sound within windows. (Properties -> level -> balance) Using Windows 10 x64, other details of my set up you should be able to find on my profile. Thank you for trying to help! If you have any follow-up question do not hesitate to ask!

Hi all, A while back I posted a question about using a X299 ROG Monoblock on my motherboard after deliding it will a direct Die frame. The instructions were clear that they don't support monoblocks but I measured and after replacing some thermal pads for thermal paste I was about at a 1mm difference. I have now installed the frame and attempted to fit the cooler but it is clear that the 1-ish mm of clearance I measured isn't going to work with the monoblock (not too much of a surprise but I still wanted to try it) I am now pricing up a CPU only block but I was wondering if anyone makes a X299 VRM/mosfet block which I would fit independently so that I can keep my VRM's nice and cool. I am looking online but most results just turn up monoblocks which won't work with this setup. Has anyone seen or heard of a VRM only cooler for X299/ ROG VI Extreme motherboards? Thanks, Scott EDIT: I have seen some VRM only coolers avaiable but they all seem to be in different countries. I live in the UK and am hoping to find a local supplier

Hello, I am a student at the university and this next term I am required to code in C#. We are going to create a client (in C#) and a server (in C). The thing here is that these projects are a group work and the laptop I use for working can't dual boot because of its low specs. Right now I have Linux Mint installed and I found that there's this: https://www.monodevelop.com/ I understand I can use .NET Core up to v2 with no compatibility issues (or that's what they state in their website), but since we are going to be using Windows Forms, are we going to be able to work without problems when we send our codes to each others if my collegues are using VisualStudio? I am asking this here because I expect to find someone who has experience with this and can assure me one thing or another. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone, I recently got a pretty decent 8 Ohm speaker for virtually free. My goal is to turn it into a cool little bluetooth/aux speaker thing I can take with me. I also have a PAM8403 amp board with a 3.5mm input. Now, connecting just one output isn't a great solution. I'd miss one entire channel, which sucks for music. What would be the best way to get around that? Could I just solder a 100 Ohm resistor to the left and right inputs on the board, connect them together, and then connect those to one of the outputs? I'm not very well versed around this (actually, not at all, basically). So any help would be appreciated.

Ok there is some minor issues once I realized my boards manual clearly was wrong I opened the PC and fixed it to run in dual channel and shit happened... XMP does not work unless I set it down to 3060MHz also the memory support list for the ASRock board actually mentions this! (only on G.Skill sticks for some reason) But anyhows should I use single channel with higher MHz or dual with 3060MHz? Dual 3000MHz CL15-16-16-35 Dual 3060MHz CL15-16-16-35 (could maybe see if this works?) Dual 3060MHz CL16-18-18-38 (currently) Mono 3200MHz CL16-18-18-38 Mono 3600MHz CL18-22-22-42 (could try this also? would max infinity fabric or is it pointless in mono channel?) Why does board do this? :<

Hi, So I was wondering if there exist a program that allows the user to choose which programs run with mono audio and without. Since not all programs and apps have the mono audio feature build in it would be nice to know Cheers.

So I am having a very frustrating issue and that is that my pc keeps randomly freezing. My temps are all fine and my aio corsair h60 pump seems to be functioning fine as well. I do use a dual boot setup; ssd for os and hdd for storage. I am not exactly sure what is causing it and would be very thankful for any help! So now the things that I have done to troubleshoot. I have ran multiple virus/malware scans, Updated drivers/firmware, reinstalled windows 10 fresh install, installed windows 8.1 fresh install. None of these solutions worked so I decided to take my ssd out of the picture to see if it might be the point of failure; nope same issues when using my hdd as the boot device. Now I did notice that I was getting an error message with my ssd that read "high unsafe power loss rate". My only guess is that there is an issue with the PSU maybe? Thanks for any and all help! Best Language To Choose For Linux User Program Development?
MrTimcakes posted a topic in Programming
**DISCLAIMER:** If you think this post is based too far on opinion try list languages that suit my requirements instead of providing nothing constructive and deleting it. Or perhaps advise on the use of Mono. I'm looking to get-into developing user Form and CLI applications for Linux, I'm already an experienced programmer and so I don't mind adapting my skill set and learning a new language. However I'm stuck at which language to choose for Linux Dev I'd like the chosen language to be in my sense "Native" meaning the client will ideally not have to have any external binaries installed in-order to use my program ruling out for example Java and Flash. I also far prefer the syntax of using {} (Braces apposed to tabs) and so prefer not to opt for python. And of course I would like it to be cross platform, I'd like it to run on windows too, ARM would be nice but not at all a requirement. I've already searched around found Mono which is C# with a portable JIT Compiler allowing for Linux usage. Are there any superior options or pitfalls to Mono that mean it should not be chosen? I am also unsure whether Mono will need .Net framework or similar to work on linux. Languages I am already experienced in and are fond of include: C# LUA AHK Visual Basic Python Bash Batch PHP Javascript - Node - Web - Hardware HTML CSS -
Lil question, just as the title reads. Thusfar, every video I've had a chance to watch on the LTT Vessel page has had mono audio encoded with it. It's especially noticeable when the intro music rolls. Just curious if this actually part of Vessel's limitations, and if so, seems really weird that they wouldn't support stereo encoding at this point in Vessel's existence. In fact, (and this might be true, might not) it even seems to cause some issues with phasing that are really annoying. Take the latest video, the unboing of the LG Ultrawide Heroes Socks, at some points the audio gets totally weird (usually a product of phasing) meaning they're summing both stereo channels from LTT's upload to mono. Only reason I'd think this is happening is because I can't believe that LTT would post a video with audio that bad unless they didn't actually hear it during editing, and it was in fact, a product of Vessel summing their audio down to one mono channel.

Hey guys. I just got my MXL V67G delivered from Massdrop. Problem is when I record something, it can be heard from only one ear (the left one). Now I've scouted around the internet to find out it's set in Mono cause it's only 1 microphone plugged into the Scarlet 2i2. Question is... how do I set it to Stereo ? Thanks ^^

Hey guys! I have a problem. All of the free recording software(Nvidea Shadowplay, OBS, etc.) doesn't record audio well on my PC, so I think I need a mixer to record stuff with audacity. So, I have some questions: 1: Do you think FRAPS paid will work? 2: Is FRAPS good? 3: Is there a cheaper alternative to buying a mixer? 4: Are the outputs on a mixer stereo or mono(typically)? 5: Could I plug 2 outputs to the mixer? 6: How does the routing in the mixer work? 7: What do EQs do? 8: What are some good, cheap dual 3.5 mm headphones(with mic)? 9. Should I get a studio mic that plugs with XLR or stick with my headset mic? 10: If needed, should I get a sound card(internal) or a DAC(external)? Sorry if there are too many questions, but I'm a serious noob.

Hello all, I was wondering if there is a sound card capable of producing a mono experience. I am deaf in my right ear and I have noticed that the quality of my gaming experience has greatly decreased with the implementation of surround sound. The game borderlands 2 is when I first noticed that when on the right side of the character who was speaking I couldn't hear a thing. Budget is not really a priority, if there was a sound card capable of mono sound I would be willing to pay more for it then for my graphics card. If not feel free to suggest some old school hardware or headphones anything will help greatly! Thanks, Box

Only one copy of GRID 2 Mono Edition is made and it's being sold for 125000£. For that amount of money you get GRID 2 game, ps3, race driver suit and a real racing car. Is this really necessary? IMO this is only a marketing trick because i found out about this in my local newspapers. Source: http://bac-mono.com/grid2.php

I got a sound card called the Asus Xonar DSX and the headphone jack seems to be faultly since sound only comes out of one headphone. I have disabled the HD audio in the bios then installed the driver. The port I used was AC97 (whats the difference from HD audio port?). Is there a fix or am I going to have to send it back?
