Question about how a PCIe Wifi+Bluetooth module works. A network PCIe module usually includes, in the same board, a WiFi chip and a BT chip, and it's obvious that the two are different because one needs a USB connection to the motherboard, while the other connects through the PCIe. So, first question, Does the Bluetooth module use the PCIe connection at all? Next, and for similar reasoning, I've noticed how the number of antenas don't seem to increase wether the module has Bluetooth or not. I mean, comparing a product which only provides WiFi, and one which provides both, there's usually the same number of antenas. So, I'm wondering, for a 2-antena module, Is the Bluetooth chip sharing antenas with Wifi, or is it using them at all? I know for a fact that there are hundreds of products and the specifications vary a lot depending on price and quality. I'm focusing mainly on the cheap ones, though I'd like to know if characteristics change with good 50€+ versions. Thanks in advance, Armand.

I have been googling for 5 hours and nothing. So I figured I would ask here and see if I find any answers. See the attached images. It will help understand my issue. If anyone with a Gigabyte mobo and a TPM is here and would like to help me, it would mean a lot to me. I want to use bitlocker on my Windows 7 Ultimate machine, so I bought a TPM for my motherboard. I do not want to use Bitlocker without a TPM because that would require a USB drive to be plugged it every time I turn on my PC, and I am going to lose it for sure. So I bought a TPM from Gigabyte ( GC TPM 2.0 ) and I have been trying to get it to work with my motherboard ever since ( Z97 Gaming 7 ). I should state that I have the latest BIOS Version. My motherboard has a TPM header and I plugged the GC TPM 2 in there. I went into BIOS -> Peripherals -> Trusted Computing -> Security Device Support and set this option to "enabled". When I rebooted the computer, I went into BIOS again and when I visited the Trusted Computing Section of the BIOS, instead of letting me set further options for my TPM (like enabling it so that the OS can "see" it ), it only shows the Security Device Support option and under current status it displays "Support disabled" or something like that. I cannot even set the TPM State to "enabled" in order for windows to recognize it. I have tried Loading Optimized defaults, I have tried clearing the CMOS. Nothing works. The motherboard knows it has a TPM connected to it (when i take it out the Trusted Computing section dissappears) but it only lets me change the Security Device Support option to "enabled or disabled" and nothing more, as it should. What's happening?

I have noticed that if I disable the compatibility support module (CSM) in the bios settings of the ASUS X99-E-10G, the computer does not display anything on the screen until windows has fully booted, and it does not respond to my pressing delete, F8, or F2 while it is booting up. I have an Intel RAID 1 set up as well, and the IRST menu usually appears during the boot sequence, but this too is gone. The only way I have to get into the bios now is by using the "direct key" shortcut, but since my case doesn't have a reset button I have to open the case and short the pins. I have fast boot disabled. I should be able to have CSM disabled and still get into the bios settings during the boot sequence, right? Any help is much appreciated. Edit: I was wrong, even the "direct key" shortcut won't take me into bios, it just boots windows. This is frustrating. Why would ASUS design this to lock you out of bios if you disable CSM?

Hi, All. Based in Australia, I require technical and supply support for my ASUS VG278HR - Nvidia 3D Vision 2 monitor. A few years back Nvidia released a specific G-Sync Module for this model. These modules, as far as I have researched are individually configured to each model. https://www.asus.com/Monitors/VG278HR/ https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync/diy Anyone got any idea, just where in the world I would be able to source one of these Nvidia G-Sync 'DIY' modules for the ASUS VG278HR - Nvidia 3D Vision 2 monitor? I've got a drop shipping address in the US for parts postage to Australia, as previously Logitech Australia don't stock a part I needed to import; if this helps. Thanks.

What should I do if the phone charging module is always bad?
Annaa posted a topic in Troubleshooting
The mobile phone does not charge in, the after-sales said that the charging chip is broken, the first time is the warranty, and later it will cost money to change the charging module, three times a year, and it is slowly broken, that is, it is 9v speeding is good, then 9v is not good, then 5v2A, 5v1A in a month, and finally 5V, no current, no charge, no, no special charge data line, data line at the beginning Easy to use, you have to change a data cable to charge in a week, don't know why -
Greetings. I am building a small form factor build and currently lack Wifi and bluetooth capabilities. The only real option is a m.2 card. since I don't want to slip on performance here and I have no prior knowledge on what's good or not in this area I am looking for some recommendations. It has to be m.2, preferably a kit with antenna included. High quality. I have looked around a bit and couldn't really find a good buyers guide for this, If anyone knows of a good resource please let me know.

This may sound like a very stupid question, I know. Yes actual human blood. I just got a new Ram stick, and while installing it in my laptop I was also doing something in my desktop and cut my finger in the fan without realising. I only realised what happened after taking out the RAM stick because of the BSODs (memory management, and more) to notice a little blood stain on top of the stick. But, windows memory diagnostic shows no problems. Im running memtest now. Maybe I need to clear CMOS? Any ideas? QnA Yes the ram is compatible, 100% same as the other one only different company and is running in dual channel Yes i tried seperatly, old ram works new ram disaster Yes I tried safe mode, and surprisingly it worked there, Windows installation is fresh because i also got an SSHD for the laptop same day The blood stain is very small and Im not sure if it got below the surface of the ram EDIT: IDK if it matters, but I installed new ram after installing fresh windows on new HDD, probably not a problem

*SOLVED* The hub was the problem, changed it where i bought the case. *SOLVED* Hi, im new here but i have to post this in case someone has fixed it. I bought the Aerocool P7-C1 Pro, that comes with a module for RGB controlling. I connected everything just like in the instructions, and the lights are on, but not changing to another color, on the hub i selected the left-white selector to put it in HUB1, but when i try to install the software to control the RGB lights, it sends an instant error saying: "No Device Detected". Its a problem of the controller? or what can it be? Some of my Specs: O.S: Windows 10 (Falls Creator) MotherBoard: MSI 970 Gaming Help please. Nueva imagen de mapa de bits.bmp

I'm working on buying a new graphics card and monitor. For the GPU I'm going with either one of these two... - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH5T1MS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER - EVGA 04G-2978-KR GeForce GTX 970 FTW 4GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487077 I currently can't decide as I've heard the G1 from Gigabyte is quieter and has better OC, but EVGA has awesome support. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anyways, my main problem is finding a monitor. It has been forever since I've purchased a monitor, and I'm really, really hoping to get something with G-sync. A friend of mine had this monitor... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 He was then able to upgrade the chip to G-sync with a G-sync module sold by Nvidia. I can't find any of the modules, and I don't know if they are being sold anymore. I'm really hoping to get an awesome G-sync experience for under $400 (if that's possible). This is primarily for gaming, so the most important thing to me in buying a monitor is to have no lag or as little as possible. I would love to have a monitor with 1440 or higher resolution someday, but that's probably not in the budget at this point. So, are there still G-sync upgrade modules out there that I could buy OR Is there a decent monitor I can buy that comes with G-sync for under $400?

I'm putting a shopping cart together for my new X99 build and am tempted to just get a 16gb (2x8gb) to start out and get more later, ideally I want 32gb total but would like to wait till the prices drop a little more. Is there a benefit to getting a ram kit (4x8gb)? or is it the same just buying one 8gb stick at a time?
-
Is it the 9590? Is it a phenom II? Is it the 8320?
-
What should I pick? I need reasons too please. The 9590 costs 222€ the 4670k 205€ and the 4690k 225 € here.

I just picked up a VG248QE on the cheap, and was going to pick up a DIY module to add to it. But alas, apparently Nvidia won't sell them anymore because they have "retail monitors" now. I couldn't pick up the new monitors because I'm on a budget and can't afford them. If anyone knows where I could find a DIY module, I'd be very happy.

"The compute module contains the guts of a Raspberry Pi (the BCM2835 processor and 512Mbyte of RAM) as well as a 4Gbyte eMMC Flash device (which is the equivalent of the SD card in the Pi). This is all integrated on to a small 67.6x30mm board which fits into a standard DDR2 SODIMM connector (the same type of connector as used for laptop memory*). The Flash memory is connected directly to the processor on the board, but the remaining processor interfaces are available to the user via the connector pins. You get the full flexibility of the BCM2835 SoC (which means that many more GPIOs and interfaces are available as compared to the Raspberry Pi), and designing the module into a custom system should be relatively straightforward as we’ve put all the tricky bits onto the module itself." "The Compute Module IO Board is a simple, open-source breakout board that you can plug a Compute Module into. - - This board provides both a starting template for those who want to design with the Compute Module, and a quick way to start experimenting with the hardware and building and testing a system before going to the expense of fabricating a custom board." This should be pretty cool for any hobbyists out there as the Compute Module would allow the base of the Pi to be changed greatly while not making you buy a totally different board. with a lot more gpio pins although it is aimed at people fabricating their own board I am sure that there will be many kits and pre built board to take advantage of this. Personally as I own 2 Pi's this is pretty cool but for the general person out there maybe not so much. http://www.raspberrypi.org/raspberry-pi-compute-module-new-product/

could it be possible to have a dac-like looking doodad on your desk or attached vesa mount style to your monitor and it has a power, display port in and display port out. so pretty much it can take a non g-sync monitor, and make it g-sync by overriding the internal monitor display controller or something. i would shit my bricks if the managed to do this, you might need a special certificate or something that lets the internal display controller be overridden by the external g-sync doodad but it would be so cool. thoughts?

NCIX: http://bit.ly/1s8s4xJ Amazon: http://georiot.co/2grr Obviously there are no links for where to buy this game with my affiliate code since I don't have one, but I included links to graphics cards since almost everyone is going to need a new one by the time this launches... Honestly though, right now it's surprisingly not that difficult to run!

Hi! I'm having trouble understanding what a stick of RAM is, is it one RAM module or is it something else? I think it is one RAM module but I don't know.. I need help because of a Watt calculator pretty much needs to know how many sticks of RAM I'm going to have.. I feel kinda stupid because it feels like I should really know this..

Hey guys! As you may know, @LinusTech had a little giveaway with a few G-Sync modules a couple weeks back. I was one of the lucky winners, so I promptly ordered my VG248QE and waited patiently. The module arrived fresh from Nvidia on New Years Eve and I promptly slapped it in and started gaming. I have only had about 15 hours of game time with it and I have only used a handful of games so far so I'm not ready to write a full review just yet. In the meantime, does anyone have anything they'd like tested or perhaps covered in my review? Maybe a quick question or two? I promised some feedback on the module and that's what I plan to provide.
