Recently, my Yeti X started disconnecting whenever I played back a project file in DaVinci Resolve. It does not reconnect again until I manually pull out the USB cable and plug it back in. So far, I have not managed to reproduce the error with any other app, but the Yeti is not found in the standard system settings or the Logitech app either, which makes me think that this might not be an issue with DaVinci resolve. I updated Windows 10 to the latest version, tried other cables and USB ports, and I even updated my BIOS, since I found that suggestion in an old post. I was going to revive the post, but the forum UI told me that I should make a new post instead. I linked the post below anyway. I couldn't find any other suggestions on other posts on other forums regarding the issue (except for the "new cable" / "other USB port" suggestions). Can anyone help me with this? It is super annoying. I am trying to edit a video and it cuts out all the time and plays the audio on the speakers super loudly, because it cannot find the headset that is connected to the Yeti anymore. Thank you in advance to anyone who might know what's going on! Link to the old post:

Is there any reason headset mics haven't had a lot of development over the past few years? They're super convenient and seem like they have potential It might not be the size, pretty sure there are phone mics better than headsets, and those aren't too big if I recall It could be price, but I don't know the average price of mic components Maybe they're difficult to work with? My current theory is that they're too niche in the world of audio to be considered something to dig into. What do you guys think?

I wanted to get a new microphone because I create YouTube videos and currently use my awful headset microphone which results in my voice sounding like I'm kidnapped and muffled. I came across this offer on amazon.eg for a HyperX QuadCast for 2280 EGP (≈145 USD). Should I get it or is there's a better option? Have you tried this microphone before? if so, what do you think of it?

I have an AT2020 connected to a Steinberg UR22mkII DAQ, lately i have been experiencing an issue where I hear my mic normally but suddenly after a couple seconds it drops to inaudible. I have installed the new drivers for the daq and tried a new XLR cable but nothing helps and the only way i can hear the mic is cranking the gain (makes it sound like a tornado) so far no tutorials have helped my reddit posts have gone unanswered and nothing i could think of has worked (Phantom power is on if you were wondering) please let me know if you can help or have any insight into a solution.

I'm looking for advice on how I'd go about setting up a recording solution for my D&D group. I have a group of 6 players who play and I like the idea of being able to record our sessions so if someone misses a game we could send them the audio in order to hear what happened during the last session and perhaps upload video footage of the game onto YouTube for fun. Obviously I could spend thousands of dollars getting mixing boards and expensive mics for outdoor use [Since we normally play outside and next to other players] but I'm just curious to see if anyone has any reasonably lower cost ideas for how one might record a session. Getting video footage is less of a major concern as getting good audio from 6 people to me is the real challenge.

Hey again! I want to ask if it is possible to use an Audio Splitter for two Mod Mics 5.0? I need a extra Mic for friends that are visiting me and also want to talk to my friends im playing online with. Or does someone have another solution? Let me know! Maybe there is a Splitter just for Microphones but i've never found one. (I mean something like a normal Audio Splitter for Phone headsets that you can find just for $5 or something like this) I don't know how to explain that better with my weird english. -Icefly

Hey all, So I have an Audio Technica ATR-2500 USB microphone and for some unknown reason its driver crashes all the time at random intervals and the only way to fix it is to reboot my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this problem is f*cking annoying as all hell.

Okay, so I want to get people's opinions on this. I hate USB mics in Windows! Every time you record audio for anything, it will bump up or down the volume, it will change the pitch or speed, and most recently it completely muted all of my system devices for no reason! I have since switched to XLR, and with solutions like the Alto ZMX52 interface and the BM/NW-700/800 microphones being so dirt cheap now, I am confused on why more YouTube creators and streamers aren't making the switch to XLR! These issues have been integrated since Windows Vista (earliest reports that I could find) so why stick with USB?!?

This is a really nice microphone, and I have no idea why it would be discounted at this much of a price but it is! I bought one, its coming friday. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IARJWAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here is a review comparing it to other mics by TechSource: Also here is a link to some great and cheap audio interface if you need that too for this: (I bought the second one) One input: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EK1OTZC/ref=pd_sim_267_51?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0QTKDWS7JVGNXRY3ZWMG Two Inputs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QHURUBE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hi. Anyone here doing podcasts? What microphones are you using because I'm pretty sure the mics in most laptops sound like shit. Is the blue yeti microphone worth the $110 price tag? I'm thinking of doing one.

Hi, there! I'm aware that there are likely other forums with the same or similar titles; however, I'm hoping for a recommendation based on my situation. I own a Blue Yeti Pro microphone, and I intend to use it for various applications. However, I live in college - I have a small room, with a fairly small desk. My desk hardly has edges to clamp anything on to. I own a tripod, but it's large and unwieldy for such a small room. The microphone came with a desk stand - the issue is that any bumps or vibrations from the table are easily heard in the microphone. I'm hoping for a recommendation on what to do, as a tripod is large and not easily maneuverable and I can't clamp anything. There are no viable surfaces near my desk for a clamp, and I also can't drill holes in my desk (for obvious reasons.) Perhaps there's a product or item that would solve this? I would prefer a shock mount with the mount, but if not, I have a shock mount already. Thanks for your time!

Budget (Highly Prefer $100 and below, but if it's really worth it $150?) Features Seeking Something with good spacial awareness would be nice, however I realize that may be unlikely due to budget Good Mic Comfortable Durable / Solid Build Quality Colors Preferred: Black, Black w/ red or white. (But if it looks nice it's considerable) I am open to wired and wireless options as well as Headphone & mic Combos within a similar budget

Hey guys I'm in the market for a new headphones/microphones. The current headphones I'm using that has inline mic has pretty bad sound quality, the audio is so low I can't even hear my voice. I'll be mainly using the headphones to record my voice commentating gameplay footage on my smartphones. I want something I can just simply plug into my smartphones headphones jack and start recording my voice, obviously I want the mic quality to be really good. I was consider buying an adapter where I can convert any headphones/microphones to be use on any of my smartphones devices. Something like Rode SC4 TRS to TRRS, I'm not sure if that actually works on a gaming headset though. I was consider buying Blue Yeti and convert it to work with my smartphones. Am I better off going that route? Kill 2 birds with 1 stone? My budget is $100 give or take. Any suggestions. Much appreciated. I found a Sony headphones with mic at my local tech store. I'm not sure how good the mic quality is. I was consider buying it but I want to wait and see if there's better options available. Here's the link to that headphones. It was on sale for $49.99 I believe. https://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/audio-and-headphones/headphones/over-ear/sony-xb550ap-extra-bass-over-ear-headphones-with-in-line-controls---black/p/108065579

I have been working on a twitch stream and plan on starting a podcast. I'm just learning so please save your bullets. My main questions are 1.What Dac/amp do I need based on what I'm looking at? 2.What sort of software for the audio? 3.(condenser vs dynamic) (XLR v USB) Visuals: I plan on picking up a Logitech C920 webcam for streaming. For podcasting I would like to do interviews and upload them to youtube. Would a GoPro be a good choice for something like that, as I could use it for many things? Audio: Headphones: currently - Philips SHP9500 future - I'd like to try the Fostex TR80's Microphone: currently - V-moda boom pro future - Looking at condenser mics. MLX 770 has caught my interest. Seems better than the typical yeti. Software: currently - I am just getting the hang of OBS. I seem to be able to cancel background white noise with the filter, but that only seems to cancel it out while not talking into the mic. future - ??? I really am new to the software side of things. Is there anything you recommend for clearing up the audio? >>DAC/AMP<< : I have no dac soundcard or amp. I plan on getting a condenser mic so I assume I will need an amp. Also the Fostex headphones I want need the power. So my question is if I'm looking at using both an XLR mic, and plugging in some headphones. What do I need? 1 dac amp combo with xlr? Accessories: Let me know if you have any suggestions or recommendations, I don't assume these make a huge difference Desk boom Pop filter Back lighting

For example I and another person tried recording audio from 2 separate condenser microphones at the same time while recording game play. My microphone was being recorded to my computer while his was recorded to his phone creating 2 separate audio files. When these audio files were synced together we could still hear each other in each others microphone which created an echo making it unusable. So I wondered if that's what a mixer was for? Kind of like a podcast situation or Achievement Hunter for example. They have 6 people in 1 room recording from 6 microphones. I have found out they're all connected to a Alesis Multimix 16 USB 2.0 mixer. I know they have high dollar microphones, but they are right next to each other, how do they keep the microphones from creating an echo, especially since they are right next to each other. Is this what the mixer is for? Many thanks in advance!

I am looking for a good desktop microphone that i can use for my gaming setup. i don't want a modmic because i don't want the attachment on my dt880 pros and the cable on those is not straight so it will be a hassle. I am looking for a mic that doesn't need to be in my face to get good audio quality but also doesn't get filled with heaps of background noise over something like teamspeak or discord or in game chat because id like my friends/teammates to be able to clearly hear me in a competitive environment. I was looking at the yeti pro because that sounded the best at the distance i want it to sit but was a bit pricey. Thanks in advance for any help that i get.

I am looking for a shotgun mic that I can use to improve audio for interviews. Id like to be able to mount it on a camera or use it on a boom pole. Lots of the stuff I'm looking at is really expensive. Anybody know of anything around the 150-200 ish dollar mark that is of good value/performance? Thanks for the help!

Me and two other friends are wanting to start a channel and one of the features of this channel will be a weekly news podcast type video, much like WAN Show. However we are on an EXTREMELY tight budget and only have one audio input. We need some sort of microphone that has USB or 3.5mm jack connection that would be able to pick up all three of our voices (all three of us would be in front or diagonal to the front of the mic) from a distance, more than like 4-6 feet, 10 feet at most. Please leave suggestions. Keep in mind that we have a very tight budget so anything more than 60 USD will be hard for us to be able to pay for. Thank you.

I have 300ohm headphones (HD6XX) they sound fantastic. I would like to use them for gaming. Now here's the problem, I 100% have to have sidetone or mic monitoring or live monitoring whatever you call it I have to have it, I can not play a game with out it. If I dont have it then I'll just instinctively put one earmuff behind a ear. What do I need to buy or do to get whatever microphone I need to get to play through my headphones but at the same time what will I need as a amp/dac to drive them and retain there great quality with 0 latency side tone?

Hello all, Had a quick question about arranging my setup in order to hear my microphone through my headset. I have a Rode NT-USB mic with a pair of DT 770's and a Schiit stack (just the basic one). I know that there is an aux plug on the mic for exactly this reason, but is there a way of setting it up so that my headphones can stay plugged in to the stack that doesn't require the microphone input to be mixed with the desktop audio? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I hate wearing headphones while playing and recording. I know wearing headphones is the best and simple way to avoid echo but I can't bring myself to play like this. I really like playing with speakers. Could you guys recommend a mic to minimize the echo? Shotgun mics? Cardoid mics? Low sensitivity mics? What's the better option here? It's a combination of a low sens mic and shotgun mic in one? Or a soundcard that cancels echo pretty well?
