Is it this normal for this process in macOS to be like this?

Hello guys. I am getting an error message when i type my log in info for app store, which says "This item is temporarily unavailable". Is there any way to fix it without using an usb stick to boot from ? Thank you!

Just learn basic on linux and want to lear more. But, I only have 1 spare device to use, a Macbook Pro 2017. I try to using VB as VM, but dont know everytime I try to add the iso image, its said something kernel missing. I try to uninstall it and replace with the new version (6.1.26). But still, the same problem happen. I try to give up on VB and try to do dual boot on my Mac. I realize that this device have Bootcamp, and so far I see, its only read Windows iso (or am I too dumb to know there is other option?) What I want to say, Could I do the dual boot on my Macbook? I have a retina MacBook Pro 13" Early 2015 running MacOS Sierra I was using my computer and all of a sudden the screen just faded to black like it was going to sleep but everything else was functional, and the backlight was on after pressing a key. I tried rebooting, as well as resetting the PRAM and SMC but all that has resulted is the Startup chime upon boot and a seemingly functional computer except for the fact that the screen is just backlit black displaying nothing. It came back on earlier today however returned to this state about an hour later. Is there something I am missing or another means of attempting to resolve this issue? Or is it a hardware issue? It seems like a software issue.

so i installed rEFInd on my mac book pro in attempt to boot to my linux live usb... but it says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" but my keys aren't working and the power button wont turn it off! I'm lost for anything to do. I tried plugging in my Desktop keyboard but it didn't do anything and I don't know what to do T-T

I have a 13” 2014 MacBook Air I purchased used. The original internal drive was dead/damaged and would only show as a few MiB of storage available. Purchased replacement OEM SSD off eBay from reputable seller. Swapped drive. Drive is not detected at all. Can run off of external drive but only Sierra and not High Sierra as I don’t have the “firmware partition” but cannot seem to remedy that either. When booted off of external drive still cannot find internal drive. What should I do to find the internal drive?

Hello My studio doing 4k video and very long timelapse (few years on some project). I work in a Mac OS environment and I want to stay with it. I use external (USB 3) and internal storage (Mac Pro 2012 workstation) with raid5. Without our backup I currently have 2 Raid5 volume : 12To internal & 6To external. I want to increase and centralize my storage with a unraid serveur with 10G ethernet connection. I want to re-use a old PC workstation as unraid serveur. Below the configuration of the old workstation : CPU : Intel 3930K 6 Core 3.2GHz CPU CPU cooling : Corsair Hydro Series H80i Power Supply : Corsair HX - 850W Motherboard : Asus Sabertooth X79 Memory : 32GB Corsair Vengeance 4 x 8GB PC Case : Fractal Design Define R4 - Arctic White SSD : OCZ 128Go SSD 2.5" Vertex 4 GPU : I have 3 old GPU that can fit in this PC. GeForce GTX 660 or GeForce GTX 580 or GeForce GTX 970 Storage capability of the motherboard : Intel® X79 chipset 2 x SATA 6Gb/s 4 x SATA 3Gb/s Marvell® PCIe 9128 controller 2 x SATA 6Gb/s My questions : May be this old PC is to much for a unraid serveur, we can use a much power efficient PC? If we use this old PC do I need to add a additional sas raid card? Is it possible to use NVME on PCIE card with this motherboard? Better for caching? If I read the spec of the motherboard correctly I can fit 8 HD inside? Can we have Raid with 2 different SATA controller? Is there a better solution? Thank you very much for all the answer. Hello everyone! So I recently got a refurbished Macbook Air 2015, 8Gb RAM i5. (Bought from another person) Its in great condition outside and everything. Battery only at 160 cycles. One of the first things I did was reapplying the thermal paste and now it runs as cold as snow. (Maybe not,) 35C on idle. There is one major problem that I have tried to fix for weeks and it doesn't seem to go away... PROBLEM: The wifi is a disaster. Most of the times, it says (Could not connect) Even if its correct password. Even if it was connected to it 5 min ago. And it doesn't matter which network. School, Personal hotspot, Home... Sometimes, it connects but the wifi is very slow. Like the pages doesn't even load. And sometimes it just drops the connection like its: (Nah, this thing is slow I don't like it.) I know for sure its not the networks problem. (Same wifi issue was in the internet recovery and while setting up the OS) SOLUTIONS THAT I HAVE TRIED: - New Location - Forgetting Password - Keychain Access - DNS - Proxy - Hardware (Package amount) - Restart - Reset NRAM/ SMC and other things - I even reinstalled Mac OS 10 times. (High sierra, Catalina, El Capitan). - Deleting Files - Killing activity - Turning off and on wifi - Turning off bluetooth MY THOUGHTS: - Probably the network card is broken. (But how? Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Also I notice it depends which location Im at. For example connecting to my phone at home isn't a big deal most of the time. But always when Im at a restaurant it doesn't want to connect) So I have some ideas what it also can be. - Can it be the temperature? I noticed that it never works outside home, maybe because Ive been outside? And I tried setting on CHESS game to pump up the temperature, it raised up to 70C and the wifi magically connected. Tho, still a bit slow. Later it worked great. As fast as the temperature dropped to 50 or below, the wifi randomly disconnects.... Do you have any ideas how I can try the theory out even deeper? - Another idea is the location. Maybe it sees that my computer is in another country and thats why it doesn't want to connect? but that would be weird. Again, it sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't. (Most of the time it doesn't) Before I noticed it only after sleep. Now I notice it not only after sleep. Write your ideas or experience. Maybe you could help out my life and make it less tragic. Hello, I recently installed Mac OS Catalina in my pc alongside with Windows 10. Everything was okay but i there's a problem in the boot menu. There's boot entry named "Mac OS X", this was the result of try and error in trying to install hackintosh. But now i cannot delete it from the boot menu. Eventho i disconnected all the drives...what gives? I even take out the mobo battery and disconnected the power cables. Amd yet still there...it annoys me as i want a clean boot menu..the picture below shows my bios. My mobo is ASUS H81MD V2

Hello, first sorry for my bad english recently i bought an Macbook back from 2008, this is my first Mac OS device. i got it without th OS (see picture) .Everytime i want to reinstall I've to connect to my APPLE ID , but sadly afte login in it says MAC OS X isnt avaible right now i should try later again :/. how can i get it working I did some research and followed some tips but noone worked for me (use another apple id, try ALT CMD and R) Thank you for your Help cAkio

So I work at ubreakifix, and my coworker brings an old Macbook 2006 a1181 and gives it to me. It's white, has yellow stains and looks like it was in a fire. So I cleaned it up good with hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and such and made it look nice! It had 1/2 gb of DDR2 that I upgraded to its maximum 3gb ram. However, this macbook only supports OS X 10.7.11, which is so old Chrome and Firefox don't support it. This is really unfortunate because the Macbook is still usable and actually pretty snappy (the core duo does a good job with light activities) so I don't want to give up on it just yet. So here I am, trying to get UBUNTU on my Mac. So convert my usb to fat32 and boot ubuntu right? WRONG, uefi does not see the USB... So here I am stuck, what do I do? I found some forums online on the topic but they require an optical drive, which I don't have. So I was able to install Mac OS X 10.10.1 on my PC and I was wondering if there was a program for monitoring temps, specifically GPU temps. I tried a program simply called "Hardware monitor" but it only showed my hard drives.

I am trying to install Mac OS X on VirtualBox and keep getting No Bootable Medium when found. I tried so many .dmg and .iso files. I read a lot of guides saying I need to add a IDE controller and select my image file but with no luck. I tried booting Windows 8 from the Virtual Box and it recognizes it with no error. I tried using the iAtkosML2/3 files as well as Snow Leopard and Mavericks. My CPU is a i7 4770k on a Asus Gryphon Motherboard. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I have windows 8.1 on my pc but i want to dual boot mac osx mavericks with it. I have a i7 4770, Msi g43 motherboard, crucial m500 128gb ssd, 2 tb hdd, 16gb corsair vengeance ram. please tell me if it is possible to dual boot, how to do it?

I was just curious what OSes you guys programmed in and why you prefer to use these OSes. I tend to use Windows as I program in .Net languages, like C#, C++, etc. What are your preferences?
