So I don’t know how many people join this site on a daily basis, but considering how close the forum is to 1,000,000 users, do you guys think it’s possible to reach that number by the end of the year?

I think this entire forum needs a review because I’ve used this since July, and I love it. And I promise, this was not sponsored. THE PROS It’s a simple forum. Not many menus, clean interface, and nice people. I’ve been watching LTT since the peak of quarantine in 2020. He just kind of popped in my recommended, and I’ve loved the channel since. I joined the forum a year later on July 19th, 2021. I asked literally one question, and didn’t come back. I then found the forum again around August/September of 2021. I then started using this forum as kind of like a small, better social media. That’s why I use SU’s so much. The community is so nice and friendly, that I feel comfortable here. I like that. CONCLUSION No cons about this, I love it. Forum Rating: 10/10.

Pew pew! Screenshot loading a 149gig image, to look at what was inside of it. Finally could tax this m.2 drive doing something .... If its not the loading drive being a limiter, its the nic (even at 10gig), ...if its not the nic its the small file size load latency. I should have documented my new nas build from last month.... Still need 2 more 14tb drives but they went up in price by $100 ... thanks pandemic. Tax man: Sabrent 2TB Rocket 4 Plus NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD SB-RKT4P-2TB

The new forum redesign is great! I know it must have been done log ago, but came to the forum today after 2 long months, and the design feels refreshing, more LTT-esque and the full on black instead of gray theme is super awesome. Not to mention the fonts redesign. (May I know the font, though). Thanks LTT, LMG and all the devs!

Hey, ya'll! So, in the last couple of months, I have switched between two monitors, and ever since I upgraded from a laptop to a desktop, I have found that I am a bit too sensitive to very bright white colors. While I have managed to set up my monitor to something comfortable when switching between very dark and very light backgrounds, I have noticed that the videos of all LTT channels seem a bit too dark compared to others. Am I alone in thinking this?

My problem is simple. I love watching 8K stuff. Now, with my 1650Ti, when I run 8K videos, (with hardware acceleration enabled, graphics settings of the browser set to my dGPU both in NVidia Control Panel and Windows Settings), some videos decode with the GPU and run dope, smooth and crispy! But some don't. These ones work super smooth with GPU decode. This, this and this are smooth. Even the Yule Log works! And the MKBHD 8K Recap from 2017! BUT... For some reason, the 2020 LTT and MKBHD 8K videos don't decode with GPU! Why? The choke my CPU! Please explain why this is and how i can solve it! Note for moderators: I know this maybe the wrong sub forum, but please resolve before shifting. I couldn't decide where to post so I posted here.

I am having a weird issue while playing valorant. I use a DELL G15 5515 Ryzen 5600H RTX3050 8GB RAM. I used to play the game at constant 120FPS but now i don't know what is happening but whenever i play this game it suddenly drops from 120fps to 45-50fps and if i turn off the charger and turn it back on it suddenly jumps back to 120fps. I ran the dell support assist. no issue. all the drivers are updated. I placed a support ticket on riot games' site but I am not sure if there is an issue with the game or my laptop. pls help. i am also sharing some log files from riot repair tool. Budget (including currency): 2500USD MAY GO A BIT HIGHER Country: POLAND Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: Rust, my summer car(don’t laugh), pubg , fortnite. Streaming and quite a bit of 3D design Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Of course I would like it rgb. Don’t worry about the pc case as I will make a custom one. Also would prefer it to be water cooled. I don’t need any extra peripherals. Currently I have an ASUS TUF FX 504 series laptop which overheats in games like pubg and fortnite, as well as civilisation. It has huge frame rate drops when designing in 3D. I bought a cooling stand for it but it doesn’t help a whole lot even though it is said to be very good. I certainly do not have any viruses causing it as I scanned it with avast like ten times. Any tips from Linus Tech Tips will be very appreciated .

Bit of background on my knowledge: I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to pcs and how they work but I am only just putting together money for my first pc build. I have a 1000 dollar (or whatever equivalency in pounds ) to spend on the rig and have decided to do the 900 dollar and rig by Linus with slight upgrades to parts from the 1000 dollar build guide by nitwit.I am by nature a very cautious person so I just wanted to confirm a few things before I proceed.Firstly Linus says in the build guide that if the bios isn't fully updated the motherboard might not post with your cpu and you'll have to use an older CPU to update the bios and then switch the CPUs over. This is obviously not an option for me and I had heard you could flash the bios update to the mothervoard using the built in button on the io and a usb stick. However this is from weak sources and I wanted to check whether there are any draw backs for this or if it works at all.my other main question is that in both setups (the Linus one and the bitwit one) use the Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and I was planning on upgrading this to the new 3600xt and was wanting to check if this upgrade was really worth it and if so where there any comparability issues with the msi b450 motherboard. These are my main questions but I might add others in future months. I appreciate anyone that contributes their time to answering my questions. Thank you Toby

Hey peepz! Earlier I got bored and started thinking about when I first started watching LinusTechTips, and wanted to know when y'all started watching too. I was also curious how much time it would take for people to start hopping on the forums. I personally started watching Linus since winter of 2015, after I started having issues with my prebuild (i know i know). So, what's your story? Are you a tech geek? Let's share some stories!

Hey, so i seen the video of Linus and his Grandpa and him showing all those Google products. and it brought up a discussion with my wife and her mother. She never used a pc and my wife wanted to get her into the technology world. Would you ever do a video for seniors and cover something like the Telikin PC. I read some reviews but all the reviews are from the company itself and no 3rd party reviews that i could find. And is there other options? a OS that is similar? Thanks!

I know that LTT has a kickass server, but How would their workflow change if they used Amazon web services instead of their normal servers? I know that they can bump up CPU and GPU power in an EC2 or have an autoscaling EC2 cluster? It's a thought and maybe a good video idea on in-house vs. cloud computing. Maybe Linus or Luke would be able to answer this. It's at least a decent concept for a video.

I bought a obutto r3volution and it will be here on Monday. I also ended up with a ASUS PG348Q UHD Curve Monitor and it says its vesa capable 100x100 and the obutto says it can do 100x100 but my worry is i havent seen 1 person mount this monitor and the spot where i see the 4 holes for VESA mount are inside of a hole in the back of the monitor and im assuming the mounting bracket will be square.

I never had problems or doubts with LTT. There are more serious discussions on LTT. I never (until now) had problems but i had doubts (always had those) about toms hardware, esp those badge bs guys lol and i think toms hardware are hand picked unknowing D**ks. This review is more of a kind for why you should stay away from TH. The next text is a direct mail from me to TH after a 'ban' for helping and ... The reason was 'being a troll' but hey im not 16 and i dont even use that word, nor am i a gamer who uses that word all day whatever it means, its just sone weird ignorance word. Anyway my mail.....: Due to laws of privacy: I demand my account and any post made by me to be deleted immediately. I will take further actions if this will not be done between today 28-may-2017 and 29-may-2017. There is not even a single clear option to delete anything of my account related to Tom's Hardware and if your try to contact you will get an internal error (picture included as proof), this is a very misleading tactic of (Purch) Tom's Hardware to keep in control over my private related information such as: e-mail, name, google, and more personal related information that I want Tom's Hardware not to posses anymore. Further more, actions shall be taken if Tom's Hardware© refuses to cooperate within the next 24 hours from the moment which this demand has been sent. Also shall Tom's Hardware be commerced by me onto my clients and my social network with this same message and negative review about the very unprofessional behavior towards other people who most likely are above the level of their mods and or rule makers and or technicians and even their mobile webbuilding. Thank you for your understanding. Signed: RV ------------------------------------------------------------------ Previous attempts to even react on Tom's Hardware were impossible: I placed comments and got acused of troll and therefor ban. Lol i feel sadly taken lightly here its a sad place. Acusing people of a troll....hey son i am not you kid dont you have manners? Its the most ridiculous forum move ive ever experienced in my life on the web lol. Also you mobile webpage sucks from many sides. Dont call ppl trolls, its as if your a team of 12 year old kids. I cant even find any clue to delete my account, even contacting toms hardware is so thought out that it became a stupid 'easy' walkthrough to contact toms hardware to delete my account inc my posts due of privacy laws. This is the most absurd forum and also very childish one ive ever been onto. How did you ever dare to call people a troll as reason, that is indication of childish behavior towards people who are not on level with 15 year old gamers who call everyone troll all day long. Take one from my ages tomshardware, 'your mom' . Not only do you insult people but also, i have put time and information in what i replied to people just to be trash talked by a moderator with the word 'troll' and thay only shows how highly unprofessional Toms Hardware is. Terrible....i will spread it out to my clients, and have a very well spread negative review about Toms Hardware on the web and social networks. Have a great day kids...yuck
