I was looking through my closet and found an old joystick (Sidewinder Precision Pro) which has a game port connector. I looked through ways to convert it and found an active adapter called the USB Nest. I was wondering if this is compatible with my joystick.

Hi I just received a saitek X45 throttle unit, from a friend. I was intending to use it as a thottle with DCS. THe problem is that it has a gamport port Apparently, that was supposed to connect to the joystick, which I don´t have. Some people found out, that with a gameport to USB dongle, it did not work? Any ideas?

Hello, i have a dual joystick setup mounted to my chair , and now i got cables running from my chair to my desk , which is a bit inconvenient. i was thinking about connecting the sticks via a wireless usb hub ,which i would have mounted under the seat of the chair and the idea was to power it with a power bank instead of a cable . Sadly there are no wireless usb extenders available anymore (they where a thing some time ago ,but all i find now are out of stock relic offers on amazon, even on aliexpress i can´t find anything) has anyone another solution to this problem ?

Summary After few years of preparation and multiple real-world tests among end users they finally did it - Uni-Joy launched a Kickstarter campaign to set up mass production of the retro joystick Unithor. Digital, based on micro-switches, durable, easy to repair and long-lasting (for all those that have played games lice Decathlon - you know that not many joysticks could survive this game). Quotes My thoughts I still have my Atari 800XL from the 80ies and play with it from time to time - also with my kid. What I always missed is the old style joystick with a full handle - I never managed to get fully used to the gamepads and there are some classic games, like Boulder Dash that are just easier to manage with traditional joystick. I met Uni-Joy guys on the Pixel Heaven games festival 2021 (Warsaw, Poland) and since then I was waiting for their product to reach mass production. They did show up also on the 2022 edition of the Pixel Heaven with close-to-final revisions of their product. The killer feature for some tinkerers is... ESP programmable controller inside the joystick that allows to support not only Atari, Commodore, Amiga and USB interface, but you can have interactive LEDs (yes, RGB leds!) and vibration feedback: they managed to create modified version of Amiga Jump! game - the first one on the platform that supports this kind of interaction. Changing the autofire speed it just a small side feature that is quite obvious here. The basic version will cost around 59€ ~ $62 USD ~ $80 CAD - it is close to cost of New Old Stock of some better joysticks. Sources News (uni-joy.com)

Afternoon all, I’m hopeful that this is the right place to loom for information, but I’ve got a unique situation. I have re-engineered an analog stick cap for Xbox, PlayStation, and other controllers. Remember when you played the PS2 and your joysticks got sticky and a groove was carved into them by the controller housing ? My invention fixes that. My design splits the cap into two halves and places a radial bearing around the center shaft so that the bearing contacts the housing instead of plastic on plastic. No drag, low resistance, and smooth circumferential movement. I own the patent, and I am the sole interested party. I know the design works, I know there is interest, and it solves a unique problem, but I do not know what to do now. How do I move forward ? How do I market ? How do I bring my product to the market ? I’m great with design and engineering but I’m no good with product development. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I’m willing to partner or create an agreement on sales volumes, I just don’t know where to start. reference patent number US 10,500,486 https://patents.google.com/patent/US10500486B2/en?oq=10500486

Hi guys, I'm Evans. For some time (I don't remember exactly when it started) I'm having some issues with my secondary controller. I'm using two PDP Xbox One USB controller on my PC, and I ave two problems: - everytime that I boot my PC, the controller "number 1" is the "number 2" and viceversa. - if in a game, for example, I set the controller vibration on OFF on both of them, if I reboot the PC one of them has the vibration on ON. In simple terms, my PC saves only one config for one of my controller and the other lose the configuration. These are my PC specs: Windows 10 1909 (latest updates); AMD Ryzen 5 3600; MSI X570-A PRO (not latest BIOS update); 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz; Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super. Thanks to anyone will answer.

I have a game controller that works perfectly fine on one of my PC's. It is recognized by the PC and is able to be tested from the control panel (game controller settings shows it). When I connect the same game controller to my newer PC, however, it is not recognized and the game controller settings show nothing. I have copied the same exact drivers from my older PC and tried restarting it in every way possible but it does not seem to work. The PC does, in fact, play the sound when the controller is connected like normal. The controller does not seem to be recognized in-game but for some odd reason, it is recognized by the HTML5 game controller tester (html5gamepad.com) and shows all input from it. Device manager recognizes the gamer controller and does not show it as an unknown device. Any help in trying to get it working is appreciated. Thanks in advance. For over a year I have a weird issue with windows. I think it started after a windows update (like all modern problems do). When ever I use an input device, this could be typing, clicking the mouse, changing the volume, using a joystick. My pc stutters and freezes. The faster I type the worse it gets. It isnt always happening that is the weird thing. Sometimes nothing happens for a few hours then suddenly my pc starts lagging whenever I type or click the mouse. But recently it has gotten worse. Core 0 is now almost constantly at 90-100% usage and every single key pressed lags the system. What happens: When it happens I can see Core 0 spikes to 100% usage The process "Intertupts from system" is at very high cpu usage The more input signals I give the worse it gets, for example changing the volume very quickly or typing fast or moving a joystick very fast. My input hardware: Corsair K95 Logitech G502 Saitek X55 HOTAS Software that might be the cause: Corsair ICue because it generaly works like shit. Troubleshooting I did: Updated all software and drivers. Unplugged devices until problem stops but it doesnt. What could it be? I am at a loss. P.S. the screenshot text is in Dutch because I am.

Hello, I'm looking for a joystick. I play to Elite dangerous and kerbal space programme, later, I think I'm going into airplane simulation games like x-plane. I have a friend who has this one: Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas I like it. But the buttons above the joystick are a little too far from my thumb for me and I have to go get them. I have seen a good return on this one: Logitech G Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System You know what are the differences? Or do you have another joystick to propose? Musiquo

Hello there ! I've been playing games using a generic wireless vibration controller (has the ps2 controller layout btw) for sometime and recently had to format my pc. After formating it i noticed that vibration was not working. Checking things from the control panel and made me realise that i didn't install the drivers which came with the device in the first place. Sadly, the driver CD was pretty beatup and i couldn't install the drivers using it. After trying many other drivers from online , windows still fetches the old driver which dosn't have vibration features. The device works but no vibration. I tried uninstalling the default driver to see if it would register to the driver i installed , but it doesn't and when i replug the device it again installs the old one. Does anyone know what i could do about this or am i at a fullstop here ? (Also, controller is prolly chinese and doesn't have a brand , but it comes with a wireless adapter which u can plug in through a cable to your pc and also you can plug it into your ps2)

I have two broken Xbox one controllers. The original from Microsoft has a broken left thumb stick module/controller thingy, and all else is good. The other is just smashed and busted, but has a good thumb stick module/controller thingy. Can I take off the bad module and replace it with the other one? And how would I do it? Thanks in advance.

Hey just want to give a shout out to Grip-iT joystick grips. I got a couple of these on a hunch, and I have to say they make such a difference in my control of games, and thus my enjoyment of games. Going back and forth between using grips and not using grips makes me wonder how I enjoyed games without them. It is kind of amazing just how bad the grip is on most joysticks.

How do I map mouse axis to vr control axis. What I want to happen is mouse axis speed = vr movement speed. everytime the mouse stops sending input, the vr movement will reset to zero as if it was on an analog stick. Im thinking of using vjoy and/or UCR (Universal Control Remapper) but all I see from vjoy is head movement, I wanna see body movement like forwards, backwards and left and right. What I want to happen as well is wherever Im facing in vr is where front is. What Im trying to say is how to map mouse axis to a vr controller input. Im using Windows Mixed reality, maybe the mouse axis will be converted to the analog sticks. or even the trackpad (if game doesn't support wmr stick movement)

Hello, I recently became a proud ultrawide owner (LG 34UM95CP) that I scored a bargain off eBay. However, the reason why it was such a bargain was because the control joystick was broken. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with fixing this? Or has any other solutions? Thanks

I bought a used Logitech Extreme 3D pro joystick. The product is less than 3 years old (according to the sales person) so it should still be within warranty, but warranty only applies to the store buyer person. I am currently experiencing some problems with it. They are minimal but still annoying. The part which controls the handle twist isn't fully centered, or is somewhat bent. I only need a feathery touch to get the handle to twist to the left. Twisting it to the right requires much more effort though. Just resting my hand on the joystick will Twist the handle. Does anybody know how / if I can fix this? Thanks.

Right now I have one of these. And while it seemed decent the last time I tried setting it up, there's so many keybinds I couldn't figure out what seemed vital to map and what was optional. Also seemed like most of the keyboard commands didn't work with the stick active for some reason, although that could have just been a 2.6 thing. I originally bought this stick for Elite, and it works fine for that, but I don't know if it's gonna carry over reliably to here so I may end up stuck with the KB/M route for an unforseen amount of time.

I have a http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/usb-joystick Yeah I know it's a cheap piece of plastic but still it gets the job done,or should I say got. Today I plugged it in after a couple of months hoping to have a nice time flying around.I cleaned, lubricated and configured it and in the control panel when i test it,it works fine. But while X-plane 10 was downloading in the background.I wanted to test it out so I loaded up the only game I had which came close to a flight simulator.Simple planes,it did not work. The issue it had is that the X and Y axis are turned all the way in one direction and when I move it in the opp direction I just end up straightening it.Hope you understand what I am saying here.I thought maybe it's the game's fault so I tested an online sim by the name of GEF,the same exact problem happened. Then I recalibrated it and again it works perfectly well in the control panel tester but not in games.I switched from multiple USB ports, both 2 and 3 but still nothing.Hope you guys can solve my problem and make my day better. Thanks a lot.

I would like to share a video of my DIY controller. It is meant to be used in conjunction with a mouse for gaming. At the moment, keys are assigned by JoyToKey, although I was looking into trying Xpadder to emulate an Xbox controller. This was my first attempt at making something like this and recording a video to discuss it so please don't be too harsh. I know the audio is crap and the controller could use work. This was mostly meant to be a prove of concept that gaming with a mouse and gamepad can be an enjoyable experience. Built using a Teensy LC, generic Arduino joystick, 7 buttons, and one hat stick.
