First time post, long time fan! Does anyone know off hand what application Linus and the crew use nearly every time they complete a build and boot up? To describe it...Grey/ white background with a comprehensive list of all core temps, speeds, etc. I keep watching different videos that have it and I believe it says SystemInfo in the top left of the bar but it's not quite enough for me to go off of when it comes to feeling confident I'll find and download the correct one (I'd hate to download a *fake* version and catch something nasty. I'd be extremely appreciative if anyone could provide a quick where to find the same program they use so I don't have to scour through hours of video to find where it may be specifically referenced / recommended by the team. Anyways, I just swapped my i5 13600k out for an i7 13600k (the i5 is going into another build) and I wanted to double check that all the cores and looking cool and happy. Figured I'd include a pic of the rig because this community rocks and I figure why not show a tech community my daily driver Thanks in advance!

I've been using a 120GB SSD and to my knowledge an SSD has a fixed capacity for creating, copy/pasting and downloading data. Therefore I've been using external drives for some heavy files and folders. I'm curious to know that: 1) What is the total capacity for creating, copy/pasting and downloading data ? 2) How many GB's have been used up and how many do I have remaining? Is there some kind of a software/application that I can use ? Looking forward to all positve responses. Thank you.

Is this safe overclock or could I try more. I am trying to get zombies in Cod Cold war better fps after trying my i7-4790 at 4.2ghz and 32gb ram it just gets above 60fps in intense moments or since Season 5 the game Seems it has had performance issues same as Cod MW 2019 Warzone that people seen a sharp fps drop? And what does GPU Voltage do is it a setting where it uses what it needs in time and 100% runs max speed constantly or does it increase it by 100% at stock. Image

My USB stick just died on me. Whenever I try to plug it in, I will hear the sound Windows makes when something gets connected, but the drive won’t appear anywhere. I know my computer is not the problem, as other sticks are detected just fine, and this drive in particular isn’t detected on my laptop either. I got the drive detected on disk manager, but it shows no storage on the main page, and 0mb on volume. What could have caused this? And is there any way to get the information inside back?

How do I clear/remove unwanted autofill information from Chrome? Sometimes I've just entered random information in entry fields and this has resulted in this information being saved somehow. And no, I'm not talking about removing my contact information (name, address, phone number etc.), I'm specifically wondering if there's a way to remove the history of these random entry field-words? TL:DR choose a decent laptop (less than2000€) for the most average human being on this world. (No apple) Hello everyone, LTT community, I want to buy a new laptop possibly two (one for my father) and I have no idea what to really look for. My old one is well… old. It’s hanging on like a champ and really trying its best but I know its time to get a new one because mine is trying to lift off into the heavens every time i turn it on. And my father also just needs a new one because he convinced me into buying one for him too. All the specs are just really confusing and I can’t wrap my head around it. I tried googling - best laptop 2021 - but I fear most of the results are ads trying to fool noobs like me. Some info: Budget is 3000 € to 4000 € Or 3560 to 4750 freedom bucks Or 4444 to 5900 ahorn leaves budget is for 2 laptops I use my laptop for Microsoft office, running software, adobe photoshop, web browsing and watching youtube/streaming. Some light gaming like FasterThanLight and Terraria. doesn’t need a lot of storage space but 1000 gb would be nice as my current one has that much A normal decent screen is alright no need for 4K 500 hz stuff and i don’t really care about webcam or microphone quality. I am also not picky about keyboard and speakers. The size, weight and battery life don’t really matter that much to me. Bigger than A4 paper i guess or about a 1:2 bannana ratio. Things i would like to have: -a headphone jack -a usb port ( the rectangular one that is lager than a phone charging port, that most common one that every electronic device has, the one where you have to always try twice before it inserts) -a internet cable connect port thing *********also if the laptop screen could be used as a normal monitor screen that would be really cool but i know that is rare********** No goes: -apple (im sorry apple people) I wrote a lot and it’s probably really confusing but I appreciate all the help, tips and support you could give me. thx in advance

I built my gaming computer 6 years ago, and it has more then met my needs. However, in the last year or so, I have been running into a ram bottle neck. The 8Gbs of ram I built it with, just aren't enough anymore. My motherboard is a: Asus Z170 Pro gaming. I want to upgrade to 32Gbs of ram, but the documentation I have been able to find, is out of date. So any information about currently available bands, that are, or are very likely to be compatible, would be greatly appreciated.

Please anyone who has experience with this, has done this or looked into doing this. I'm currently working on setting up my new hub/control center and with that purchasing new equipment such as desk, monitors and all that good stuff. I recently started playing with the idea of setting up a touch screen monitor as the actual desk top of my new desk. Is there a way to either create, Jerry rig or customize a monitor for such endeavour? I dont want to get in over my head since this is something I would know little about and dont want to start a skyscraper when I can only build a shack.

I've had a project in my mind for a long while and I began drafting the plans for it and getting the hardware together to make it. However I've done very little coding in my life and have been planning to get into it for this project and am unsure how hard it is to program touch controls and which coding language is best for touch controls. (I am aware that some of this is subjective as some people like coding with different languages) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So i'm looking for a blue tooth transmitter and receiver that can transmit and receive from from two separate devices i,e headphones to smart phone and vice versa. I'm trying to make an audio controller that interfaces between two blue tooth devices. This means that one device (the phone) can send a signal to the device, which then relays it to the headphones and if for instance i would want to change the song i can then tap the device to switch songs, without having to use the phone and without having to switch modes (receive and transmitt) on the device. Any suggestions or products would be greatly appreciated.

Some background info before, I'm a guy living in the UAE for the past 5 years, and I'm a regular user of services like Discord, Skype and Teamspeak, mostly because the games that I play and the people I play with make use of these services. Around 28th of March I noticed something odd, where I would get connected to discord voice servers but if I talked, it would sound robotic to the other people in the same room as me. Me and my mates thought it was just a internet problem since we have a lot of them and they take forever to get resolved purely because the ISP has TERRIBLE customer service but that's another topic on its own. So, a couple of days later the problem isn't resolved and that's when me and everybody on the same ISP realized that they were blocking the port used for outgoing voice on discord. Now the ISP that does that (Etisalat) has had a history with VoIPs. They blocked off Skype a few years ago because it was "unauthorized" to operate in the UAE without a valid licence, and Skype was unblocked after it got the licence from the UAE government. They used the same reason for blocking off Discord, that the VoIP service they are providing do not agree with UAE law and are so blocked off. Here is the link to one of the tweets in the replies you can also see that they are saying that it was blocked because it provides unlicensed VoIP service. Here is a news article about it One of the shiekhs from the royal family (the rulers of the UAE) took this into notice too but after almost a month of this incident, no action has been taken. And to make matter worse, a few days ago they blocked off TeamSpeak as well. A reddit article for more information about the TeamSpeak ban. Now according to this a discord representative said that they are trying to work it out but so far no new information has come out yet. There is one more ISP that operates within UAE called DU which has not applied these bans YET, but they usually follow suit. Hoping this gets discussed in the WAN Show because I really want more people to know about this so they do something about it!

Here is a collection of random information that I have needed at some point and had trouble finding on the internet, or had few sources, so I will write them here in hopes of helping people who search google with the same questions. If you have your own random knowledge that you want people to find more easily, add it on 1) Q: What is the distance between fittings on EK waterblocks? How far apart are the ports on both the CPU or GPU blocks? A: 29mm center to center distance, and yes bitspower 3/4" tubing compression fittings will fit beside eachother because they are 28mm diameter. Source: EK support 2) Q: Does the UPS load wattage show the total of everything plugged into it? A: No, only the battery backup plugs are calculated, the surge protected plugs are not factored in to the power consumption. Source: Cyberpower UPS support 3) Q: Does AR coating on lenses change their refraction properties or specs (like focal length or other stuff)? A: No, it only affects reflection, refraction stays the same regardless of coating. Source: Edmund Optics support 4) Q: How much does anodizing cost? A: Minimum payment is usually $100, even if it's just a low quantity or small piece. At the place near me, it was still only $100 for ~6sq ft. Hard anodized coating is a bit more expensive, about $150 for ~6 sq ft of aluminum. Just email and ask for a quick quote. You aren't committing to buying anything by asking for a quote. Source: Altech Anodizing 5) Q: How long do batteries last in a double conversion UPS? A: Even though they are constantly charging and discharging, they should still last 3-5 years before needing replacement. Cyberpower has warranty on their batteries for 3 years if they need replacement before then. Source: Cyberpower UPS support 6) AMD Vega 64 GPU black screen blinking off and on problem: Solved by changing from YCbCr 4:4:4 to YCbCr 4:2:2, probably a problem with the samsung TV not liking 4:4:4 7) Solidworks 2019/2020 Realview graphics workaround: Use DWORD value 30008 for GTX770 in 'NV40' folder, and DWORD 32408 value for Vega 64 in 'R420' folder I'll keep on adding more as time goes on.

Good morning, I wonder if it would be beneficial to have a glossary that explains acronyms such as RAM, the difference between Mb and MB, et cetera. This might help less experienced users understand what terms mean what. I would appreciate your thoughts. Regards, Richard.

Hey guys, Made a new build a month ago installed windows 7 and had no issues whatsoever, the build is a ryzen 1600 build with 8gb hyper x 2400 mhz ram and a gigabyte ab 350 gaming motherboard with a rx 570 running on 3 hdds. The issue arose when i tried to upgrade to windows 10 . I tried to upgrade directly from windows 7 and ran into booting issues. Then i tried a clean install but was unable to do so because windows 10 always gives the same error " could not set the offline locale information. Error code 0x80ff0000." I dont know what the problem is i have scoured every forum and every thread that had the slightest mention of this issue. The installation media is not corrupt, the hdd is fine ,bios has been updated to the latest and still the error pops up at the same time when windows copies all files and starts to install features.I dont know what the problems is .I tried to install two different windows 10 versions one from disc and the other from usb drive and both show the same error at the same time.I tried installing both the version via the same media on my older fx 8350 chip on an asus m5a97 le r2.0 with the same hdds and both the versions installed without a hitch. Please help me i have no idea what is wrong.

RASPBERRY PI - INFORMATION DISPLAY I thought ill show off my first project with the raspberry pi. Items: Dell 1901FT - Screen (Was Collecting dust in the addict) 0 $ 1,5 m of steel wire - thin. (Had some left from hanging pictures) 0 $ Raspberry Pi - 40$ 2 screws - Philips head - 0 $ 1 old micro usb cord - 0 $ 1 usb phone charger - 0 $ 1 DVI to HDMI - I stole one from my brother that he had laying around. 0 $ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Started removing the bezel and stand from the Dell monitor. 2. Screwed off two of the USB ports from the screen. And secured the raspberry on the back of the monitor using those screw holes. 3. Used the steel wire from the old stand bracket that was on the back of the screen. 4. Connected all the cables and installed the microSD card with NOOBs on it. 5. Once connected I went in to the terminal and followed the setup provided by http://dakboard.com/blog/diy-wall-display/. 6. When all the lines where implemented in the terminal a simple reboot and I was all set. 7. Used my power tool to implement two screws in the wall and then I just hanged the monitor up connected the power and Voila! Simple. It displays Calendar, Weather, Time and Date, And RSS-Feed from local news, and To-Do Lists. And for only 40 $ I think its super fun project to do.

Hello people, I am in need of help I want to setup my ssd's as raid 0 or 1 since I have an unused ssd in my pc with my main OS ssd Samsing 850 EVO 250gb. I tried copple months a go and it showed up as a regular HDD and I know you should not do that because windows thinks it's just a regular HDD and it might defrag the Raid or enable default caching ect. I think I saw some post saying you should install Intel Rapid Storage before creating new partition in windows 10 install. If so please let me know any help is helpful. Elite Knight

Hello everyone, I begin a project to make a distro plate to fit in my case (NZXT H700). For that I search a plan or another thing with all dimension of the case (screw center distance, screw thread diameter, and other) but I don't find this information. Anyone have an idea where I can find this ? C0D33X,
