Hey guys, I have recently started folding. Origoanly both my GPU (GTX 1080ti) and CPU (i7-8086k) were working. After a few days my GPU is now stuck on waitng for WS Assignment, I have tried most of the stuff in other posts, but it hasn't worked. ANy help? Here is my log after some troubleshooting. It apperas to be a host issue. If it is, how do I change my host to allow for me to fold? 08:19:17:Adding folding slot 01: READY cpu:12 08:19:17:Adding folding slot 03: READY gpu:0:GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] 11380 Hi All, I am wondering if this is normal for this CPU? I did not overclock it in BIOS but it runs a higher frequency. At the time of taking the screenshot nothing except chrome was running. I noticed the multiplier is changing on its own every few seconds from x43 to x44. never used CPU-Z so i wanted to check if that's normal. Could it be because of XMP enabled in bios? But it should not touch my CPU afaik? What you think?

Hi All, I'm new to the forum, was searching for some opinions and inspirations. I have recently comleted the 3rd build of my life. Wanted to share it with you, get some opinions and love. Some specs - I7-8086K, Asus Strix z370 E, Asus GeForce GTX 1080 TI Strix OC EditionCorsair Hydro Series h150i, DDR4 G Skill Trident 3000Mhz 14cl2x SSD Adata SU800 3DNand - 1tb and 128gbCorsair HX1000i PSU6x Corsair LL120, Lighting Node proAll in BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 900 Rev 2Monitor Asus XG27VQ with 144HZAlso custom cables from CableMod - white I got a lot spare fans which came with the case and don't have idea where to put them. I placed one below the hard disks. Two or tree could fit under the upper case panel so it would create a combo of corsairs pushing and bequiet pulling. Not sure if it make sense to do that - also I have no clue how to attach them as im out of mounting holes and screws. On the other hand I'm really happy with the temps i'm getting on the CPU as it does not go above 60 C under load. Also - the case came with led strips but since I used the ones from lighting node (great led strips btw), I did not mount them. I was thinking of putting them on my desk to get some light on the wall but have no clue how to connect them. Would like to power them up somehow without using the pc. Recenty bought cable combs so i will rearrange slightly the cables in a better way - at least behind the case they are managed nicely. How much this build would cost me in other countries? In poland i payed 16K PLN - so 4,1k Euro +/-, but i wanted to have it from a good source not buying on the internet and have it shipped. What you think overall?

So I have been having an issue of no video display coming out of my 1070, doesn’t seem to be a windows issue due to it doing it from not having any os installed and not even with it installed. The build includes a i7-8086k,asus rog z370-e, msi gaming x8gb 1070, Corsair rm850x, tridentz rob 3200mhz 16gb ddr4 ram, 2 inland pro ssd’s in raid 0(480/480), a Adata su800, a seagate barracuda 3tb, Corsair h150i pro, and it’s all in acorsair 460x. Now in windows it gives me a code 43, 0000002B and I’ve tried all the popular fixes among it and nothing works. Literally at the point of giving up. Any suggestions anyone?

I am researching parts for building a new Video Editing computer. I was set on getting an i9-7900X, until I found Dmitry's (HardwareCanucks) video. It's about the new Hardware Acceleration in Premiere Pro 12.1, and his video has some benchmarks. I also checked out the post from Puget Systems, nothing new from them yet. Does anyone know if the new i7-8086k can out perform the i9's with the integrated IGP boost?

I am building a new BEAST gaming pc - going all out - no holds barred. It will have TWO 1080ti GPU's bridged with SLI, 64GB RAM, water cooled and a bunch more goodies. I have narrowed by cpu options down to these two cpu's - Intel Core i7-7820X Extreme Edition Skylake 3.6 GHz LGA 2066 Boxed Processor *OR* Intel Core i7-8086K Coffee Lake 5.0 GHz LGA 1151 Limited Edition Boxed Processor Now, I've been researching this for a few weeks now. I am fighting with myself over if the i7x / x299 chipset is actually worth the extra money. What are the advantages to it over i7 / z370? As far as I can tell, by comparing these two processors - both are going for $399. The i7-7820x has 8-core & 16-threads and runs at 3.6GHz / 4.3GHZ turbo while the i7-8086k has 6-core & 12-threads and runs at 4.0GHz / 5.0GHz turbo (ALLEGEDLY!) Now, the only substantial difference I can see aside from the cores/threads is that the i7x supports up to 128gb RAM, while the i7 only supports 64gb. - This is not an immediate concern as I don't plan on having more then 32gb-64gb anyway. Userbenchmark[dot]com shows that the i7-8086k is the 4th fastest cpu out of the box - only behind the i9x series. And the i7-7820x is actually 9th. But - is the i7-8086k really as fast as advertised? I NEED to know what you all think? I'm not looking to edit video or anything crazy besides game in 4k. I hear that cores/threads aren't really important for that. PLEASE tell me which setup you guys prefer, and why? And tell me which do you think is superior to the other, and why? THANKS!
