So I (more accurately my BF) got a MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD 4k 144 Hz with HDR 600 certification On his computer he got a GTX 760 (Yes he need to upgrade his entire rig, waiting the new Ryzen and RTX 4xxx later this year) That graphics card only capably to run 4k 60Hz through DisplayPort, with YCbCr set as 4:4:4 and 10-bit. Unfortunately, probably because the age of his graphics card, Windows HD color are not available and grayed out. Since the monitor only got 1 DP port, My rig (with a GTX 970) is connected via HDMI 2.0, and YCbCr set 4:4:4 The interesting part is: I can turn in the Windows HD color (HDR) and the monitor recognize it (in the OSD), but I can not set the color to 10-bit on the Nvidia control Panel... Drop down only have 8 bit as an option. (I thought HDR requires 10bit???) Was this a limitation of HDMI 2.0? or I had done goof somewhere in the setting? (Note display 2 and 3 are not HDR or 10-bit color capable. I already switched the project mode to "PC only" and still can't turn in the 10 bit color.) Of course I am open to other suggestions such as getting a DP to HDMI converter. I already know the graphics cards in both rigs are ancient. My aim is 4k 60Hz, YCbCr 4:4:4 and 10-bit with HDR on at lest one of the computer. P.S. My rig is connected via a 3-meter (10ft) KabelDirekt Ultra High Speed HDMI cable (supports 4k 120 or 8k 60), on box certification seems legit This is my BF's settings. Pardon the Swedish, but you can probably understand what its saying.

Hi, Back in 2013, I used my first 'real' salary to build my first gaming computer. Nowadays, I moved overseas (from France originally) and my computer is now taking dust since the past 4 years back at my parents place. I might get back my old computer soon and would like to be able to play at least somewhat recent triple A games @1080p/100 FPS (or CS:GO at 300fp ). This is what I have (price in euros of the original components, for reference if anyone is curious): Motherboard: MSI H87-G43 96.65 CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 --> updated to i7 4790 209.99 CPU cooler: Silverstone Argon AR01 20.66 GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 760 OC TF - 2 Go 254.99 RAM G.Skill Extreme3 Ripjaws X DDR3 2 x 4 Go 2133 MHz CAS 11 --> additional 2x4GB DDR3 @2133Mhz RAM 66.29 SSD: Crucial M500 - 120 Go 94.99 HDD: Western Digital (WD) WD Black 3,5" - SATA III 6 Gb/s - 1 To (Caviar) 79.69 Case / Power supply: Cooler Master Silencio + GX 550W 109.95 Monitor Screen: Asus VG248QE 329.99 DVD player: LG GH24NS - OEM 29.93 Sound card: Asus Xonar DGX 27.49 Total of 1320.62 euros (rate 1.33 back in 2013 so ~1757 USD?). I recently manged to get a second hand i7-4790 (65 euros) and additional 8GB DDR3 @2133Mhz RAM (33 euros). So I only have to invest in a better GPU now. I was looking at 1660 SUPER/TI, RTX 2060, 1070 TI, 1080 TI... but not sure if it's overkill (or not) and if my CPU will "bottleneck" any high-end GPU (like 1080 TI). Also I'm not aware at all about what AMD can offer for full HD gaming. I'm not in a hurry and don't mind buying second hand. So basically, I'm open to any suggestion, even the most crazy on like "wait 10 more years and buy RTX 2080 TI second-hand for a fair price" Thanks!

I upgraded an dell Inspiron with an working Corsair VS. 650 and a GTX 760 from Asus. however, with the new card, I don’t get any display whatsoever, All the parts have been confirmed working. Here’s what I have done already; - reset CMOS - DDU old drivers - reseat gpu - reseat power - use different ports - update BIOS to latest version - Cry

Hello everyone, Currently my computer is this *Click*. This summer i'm thinking of upgrading my video card to a GTX 1060 6GB and adding an additional 8GB of RAM. My question is do you guys think the CPU will be enough for me to continue gaming normally with that graphics card or should i go all out and upgrade the motherboard and the CPU as well. P.S. The reason for not getting the K variant of that CPU was me either going for the K variant and getting a GTX 750 or my current config and i thought it would be better if i go this way.

Hello i recently upgraded a gtx 760 2gb to a 970 3.5gb and battlefield 1 has started randomly freezing a lot. It would freeze for like half a second every time. the game runs fine without shadowplay at around 70 fps average and with it 70 fps average but game freezes constantly for half a second. the pc is windows 10 64 bit with 8gb ramand a i5 4690k. i already used DDU to remove the driver and updated all drivers on the computer. i also did i reinstall of bf1 wut the problem still persists. i dont want to do a fresh os install and the gpu is already tested to work well in another pc with higher specs in general nothing on the pc is overclocked everything is stock.

I want to stick my old GTX 760 into my home server PC (specs at the bottom of sig) for various GPU accelerated fun. However, the issue is that I'm using a 350W PSU with two molex cables, meaning the max I can get it to run is a single 6 pin PCIe, and the card I want to use is an Asus OEM model from a prebuilt, which has 2 6-pins. I know that the OEM version of the 760 has 1 6-pin on the reference design, so do you guys think it would work to just populate one, and how far can I push the card if so? Also will I just into any issues with pure wattage from the PSU?

Hello, so the other day I was just playing and watching a video when suddenly my computer crashed. Well I hadto force shutdown my PC and when I got it started again when loading windows it crashed again, i kept on doing this every time I started Windows. So for that reason I thought my SSD was broken, I then installed Windows all over again and when I got to installing the drivers for my GPU it happened again, the screen went black and I had to hard reset it. I then took out my GPU and now it runs perfectly, of course without a gpu but.. I was wondering if there was any fix for this driver failure can someone help me? Thanks for Reading and Understanding, my English might be a little broken

Hi. Recently I noticed that my gpu is running damn hot almost all the time (while in load). It stays 40 C idle at 45% fan speed (ok). But let's fire up witcher 3 in all medium settings, no filters\shaders, @ 1080p - it runs about 80 C at 80%+ fan speed, fps is around 50. At 100% fan speed I get around 75-76 C, but even at 80% it sounds like my pc is trying to lift off. I get about 85 C in 720p furmark test (see pic below) at 80% fan speed. Isn't that a lot? Because I remember getting like 65-68 C in withcer with all the same settings 3-4 month ago (no updated were installed, same gpu driver). It's not only about witcher, it's about any game\application, that uses gpu. I don't wanna disassemble its cooler, 'cause it's still on a warranty (almost 2 years in use by now). Thanks for your responses.

Hello everyone, So recently my MSI GTX 760 Hawk started doing strange, when I opened up a game, I would get 10 fps while normal I would get at least 120. I looked at MSI afterburner and I saw that the graphics card was running at 135 mhz, so I thougt that I had overdone my overclock and that it turned itself into safe mode. So I turned it down but when restarting the game, nothing changed. I started to think that maybe there was an issue with the bios of my graphics card, so I changed the bios (there are 2 biosses on the card) but again nothing changed but this time for testing I used Heaven Benchmark. First I got 10 fps but then when I clicked on the desktop screen next to the heaven screen the framerate would shoot up to it's normal 50 -70 fps, strange. I reinstalled the graphics driver, installed older drivers that worked in the past but still nothing changes... Anyone who knows what's wrong with my card? My system: AMD x4 860k @ 4,4 Ghz Asrock A88m-g/3.1 8GB kingston ram msi gtx 760 hawk cooler master B600 600W psu

The problem is: I start eigther of these games, Stalker Call of prypiat or Pubg, the game works fine for 1-20 minutes, then I hear the fan going faster and faster, suddenly the screen turns off (computer and sounds are still on) and the fan goes at hyper speed, at this point I panic and force turn off the pc I never left it go for more than 10 seconds (I fear the worst if I do). Since this happened while playing Stalker COP all my save files dissapeard and I can no longer play the game (it will instantly crash). This didn´t happen before, I commonly played these 2 games, but while playing Pubg I did hear the fan go at uncommon speeds. Because I can hear the sounds correctly when this happens my best gues is that its a software failure. What I did was: 1) Fully clean my pc using Compressed air to remove dust (focused on the fans), and then I used toilet paper to remove the hardest dust from the fans and other parts of the computer. 2) Reinstall nvidia drivers. 3) Reinstall both games. The result was the same, it still crashes. I counted in total 6 crashes. *The computer doesn´t auto restart after forcing it off. *It doesn´t mention that it turned off badly (it sometimes pops up a message telling me if I want to report a bug when turning it on) *I can play any other game properly. One thing that did solve this was to download EVGA Precision XOC from Steam, I set my gtx 760 performance to 73% to lower its temperature and I could run Pubg and Stalker COP again but.... Pubg with 12 fps (instead of 50) and Stalker COP with 31 (instead of 72), and its not a stable fps. At least it didn´t crash. I wanted to know if there was a way to play properly and not overheating.

Hi, I accidentally enabled the Always 3D Clock feature on GPU Tweak II (ASUS's version of afterburner) and after that, my screen blacked out. Waited for a few mins then the screen went back on but is frozen. Restarted the machine and it won't get past the windows loading page - can't even get to the login screen. I can confirm that the GPU is still fine though, as it works in safe mode. I am using it now actually. Through some tinkering with the registry I was able to uninstall GPU Tweak II inside safe mode but the issues persists. Seems like the setting was saved on the GPU BIOS? Can't run in integrated graphics since I am on Ryzen 3 1200 Tried the DVI port on my motherboard but it only shows a black screen (Asus Prime B350 plus) Installed MSI afterburner in an attempt to reset the GPU settings to default but it cannot detect the GPU (VGA driver is disabled on safe mode) Device manager detects the GPU though (Asus GTX 760 DirectCU II OC) Not sure how to reset my GPU settings to default without booting windows normally, if only I can clear the GPU BIOS setting like on motherboards Any tips?

Hey everyone, So currently my current build is as follows: Motherboard: Asus Z87-A CPU: Intel I5 4670K (overclocked to 4.2 I haven't tried higher) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC 4GB w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Memory: Patriot - Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory As you can probably tell, I'm not a frame chaser by any means. At the time I built it in 2013 I just needed something for every-day office usage like browsing the web and office programs with a bit of gaming on the side. I mostly strategy and 2D indie games with a few MMO's like Warcraft and League as I've never been quite into FPS's. The build really hasn't let me down as I also am not averse to turning down the settings to reach a decent frame rate. Recently, however, I decided to get triple monitors for productivity. I now have 3 FreeSync capable 1080p 75hz monitors and have been exploring a few more GPU intensive games like The Witcher and Deus Ex. I mostly play them with the center monitor but I would be interested in trying out surround for some games later. I'm not looking to upgrade my whole system at this point, possibly the RAM and GPU (PSU if necessary). Given the new release of Vega 64, while I wouldn't bite at it's current prices, if I was able to snag one at the originally slated $500 price point should I get one for the sake of taking advantage of the FreeSync monitors I already have? Or would you just buy a GTX 1080 TI and call it a day? While it's undisputed that GTX 1080 TI is king right now, all the information I see regarding FreeSync is directly in relation to G-Sync. Again, given I already have FreeSync monitors, is it worth losing some FPS to take advantage of the feature or would you just go for the GTX 1080 TI and lose this function? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hey, I want to upgrade my graphics card, since it is a bit outdated (geforce GTX 760). I have the possibility of selling my old or keeping it. I have a 2K, 144hz monitor (main) and full hd 60 hz (secondary). and would like a steady 144 hz on my main monitor when playing AAA games. Since i have two monitors i thought it might be useful to have two cards, so when gaming, my new gpu wouldn't have to run both monitors (Only use one for gaming and the second for facebook, information and alike. My old could also run PhysX or something. I of course wouldn't run it in SLI, so my question is, should i sell my old and maybe go from gtx 1060 to 1070 (haven't decided what gpu i want) or keep it and use as secondary gpu. Thanks in advance

I'm currently on the prowl for a gpu after my brother moved out (taking his PC I've been using with him) And I have found a plethora of options and im fuckin torn over all of them lol I found an HD 7970 for $100 on craigslist with "Very low operating time." If I choose to pursue this card I'm going to try to get him down to $80 because duh I found a GTX 1060 for $150 on craigslist. I already reached out to the guy with an offer for it but have received no response. (It's a fairly old post so he might have sold it or something) I found a GTX 780 3GB for 150 I found a pair of GTX 760s 110 a piece or 190 for both (slightly negotiable) I found a pair of R9 280xs for 120 a piece or 220 for both I am a semi-competitive rainbow six siege player so maximum performance is a factor. but im also tight on cash and want the best mix of cost and perf. I can afford any of the offers listed above but I don't just want to buy the most expensive cards. Id rather spend 150 on a 1060 than 190 for the 760s if I get more performance per dollar. I play the game with settings in the most performance oriented way possible. Advice?

This is the first time that I'm ever building a PC, and I think I found a great budget PC for used parts (i.e. using a pre-built PC with no video card nor PSU, that whole shebang!) at almost $250 with shipping. I've decided that I'm sticking with this maximum budget. I have quite a few questions: Is the GTX 760 2GB w/ Double Bios a good video card, and will it fit in a Lenovo W91p pre-built tower? Will the combination of this card and a Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 be good enough for this build? Can I overclock it with enough PSU wattage? Benchmarks with this build? Will it run Crysis 3 at 60FPS on High (720p/900p/1080p is fine)? I have ARMA 3 but I don't think it'll be stable enough. Will the 760 bottleneck the i5 2400 (I don't think it will, but I want to make sure)? and was this the best possible budget build that can be found or can I find something better? Thank you all in advance! I greatly appreciate the help.

So I have recently been noticing that through MSI Afterburner and GPU-Z that my GTX 760 (standard edition) is at full clock speed even when seemingly at idle. I've tried to check what could be the culprit program-wise, but according to the Nvidia control panel only 2 programs are running: securedeletebackground.exe and CheckCD_RomLighting.exe. I've tried googling those and everywhere says those shouldn't be a problem at all. My concern is that my gpu is idling at max clock of around 980mhz the whole time @ 65ish degree C. Should I contact someone? Any thoughts on whats going on? Thanks for the help guys!

Hi, I've been rocking a gaming pc with the following configuration since the last 5 years. i7 4790k 8x2 corsair vengeance ram Nvidia gtx 760 by asus Gigabyte z97d3hp motherboard 120 gb ssd coupled with a 2 tb hdd (both WD green). Most of the games that I've been playing on this machine have been in working fine until a few weeks ago. All games were played at 1080p. Just cause 3 - low to med settings, 40-50 fps. Gta 5 - med to high settings - 55-60fps. Injustice 2 - low to med settings - 60fps. Rise of tomb raider - med preset - 60fps. Assassin's creed odyssey - low to med - 30-45fps. In the last couple of weeks I've noticed some serious amount of lag with all these games JC3 - low settings 18-28 fps (unplayable) Injustice 2 - low to med 30-40 fps Rise of tomb raider - med preset - 24-30 fps AC Odyssey - lowest settings 7-26fps (unplayable) Gta 5 - unable to connect to servers Both Nvidia and the Intel HD drivers are upto date and and I have a 40mbps internet connection (rockstar server). Arethere any options to fix this issue other than giving windows 10 and all the games a fresh install as I already did that back in December.

So i have a pretty old motherboard (F2A85-M) and i want to buy a GTX 760. I was wondering will there be any compatibility issues since the graphics card has PCIe 3.0 and my motherboard has PCIe 2.0 slot?
