Hello, so I have a 32GB ram kit (2X16GB G.Skill Aegis 3200mhz 16-18-18-38) and I want to buy another 32GB (2x16 GB 3200mhz) ram kit, I cant find the same brand and same type. I know that the ram is the most compatible when you buy it in pair, like 4x16, 2x16, 2x32, so this would not be in one pair. Would I have any issues if the frequency and the timings are the same just different brand? The PC will most definetely boot, and everything will work, but im not sure if I'll have some random BSOD or slow downs. Motherboard and CPU in question: ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E Gaming, R7 2700X.

Can anyone tell me what the max ram speed ryzen 9 5950x is capable of supporting? I’m looking to get g skill trident z royal elite ram sticks for my build at 4266mhz c19. I was using pc part picker to help with compatibility, and it saying that the voltage required for the ram is too high for that speed and the cpu would limit it. I was wanting to go with higher speed ram to try and get the most performance from the cpu.

I try to change the lights on the ram but on the app whenever I change the light it doesn't change. Then When I got to the Razer Synapse Chroma Studio, it says that it is unreachable but I can change the lights (doesn't change the lights on the actual ram tho). Any ideas on what is wrong or what I can do.

Hello. i just got my parts put together in a test bench and when I turn it on I get a post code 53. I checked the manual and it says memory initialization error, no usable memory detected. I did a search and and one result said it’s not supported but they were able to run 1 stick from slot 2, just not both. I was searching memory from the official evga website but when i get it on the store the part number doesn’t match. I was wondering do I need new memory, and if someone could recommend compatible memory in a 2x8gb or 2x16 around $130 or less. Or if there is another resolution. I’m using an evga z370 ftw motherboard, current memory is g skill ripjaws v ddr4 3200 thanks! Sorry for beginner question this is my first build

Sorry to spam topics here but I have another question that I can't find the answer to anywhere: Is the G Skill Trident Z RGB RAM compatible with MSI Mystic Lights Sync? It's advertised as compatible with Asus Aura Sync, but I'm hoping it's spread out a bit since launch. Anyone have it able to sync up with other RGB lighting in their builds on an MSI board? Or is it only syncing on Asus boards..? Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate any info.

Hello! I've recently got new a PC (specs in the signature) and I've overclocked it but there are still some problems. I have got the CPU stable at 3.9GHz with 1.4V VCORE but my RAM F4-3200C16D-16GVK (2x8GB) is only at 2800MHz (rated speed 3200MHz). I've got it to boot with 2933MHz into Windows but it crashed when testing so I had to back down a bit. What voltages I have to increase in the BIOS (version 0805 with AGESA 1.0.0.6)? Currently I have SoC at 1.1V, DRAM at 1.365V and VTTDDR (DRAM termination voltage) at 0.68250V. Or are the timings wrong (using D.O.C.P profile) and if the timings are wrong then which timings I have to adjust? Here's pictures from CPU-Z; The last one is from Thaiphoon Burner

Hey guys, I have some new hardware and I'd like to sync the RGB to one kind of breathing but somehow I can't find the Chroma activation setting in the latest versions. For ZOTAC I have Firestorm and for G.Skill I use G.SKILL Trident Z Lighting Control. Does anyone here knows how to set this up Thanks in advance!

I can't find anything in the description of several UK retailers online which say so, but in Bitwit's video, he seemed to get dummy sticks included with his Trident Z Royals. Any help?

Hi guys! I recently switched to intel and in the bios I have the option to choose xmp 1 or xmp 2 for my ram. Which one should I choose and why? I never had this option before and I was wondering whether the two would give different performance. I have a G. Skill Ripjaws 32gb 3600mhz ram. Thanks for any info.

Hello everyone I am planing build high end pc for me I am learning animation and gaming is not my preference a little bit to enjoy only, ok so for right now what I want ask is that I have already purchased some items like case, air cpu cooler, hdd, psu, gpu that's what I have right now first you will ask why air cpu cooler right because I have read too many forums and I was scared like radiator pump or fan may fail and can cause damage so I want to be on safe side that's why I choose air cpu cooler ok right now I need a processor and I was thinking about i7 8700k and ram, motherboard are my confusion right now because my experience with asus was not good which this month on 13th Aug 2018 I have submitted my motherboard to asus's service center and there is noot even a physical damage only just small very small amount of paste was slipped near motherboard pins and they were treating it as a special case and didn't specify a time period when will I get motherboard what the hack so for right now I won't recommend it nor purchase from this brand and my RMA number is INM1J80079 (see image of motherboard) and I am from India and when I was purchasing I thought it's very good brand and I have paid extra why I think after sales service would be good that's why I paid because 1k INR extra amount I can get msi or gigabyte or asrock but I choose Asus biggest mistake blahh blahh ok prefer me something else not asus and any company which is good after sales and ram here comes the second problem which g skill actually it's not a problem but confusion why I can get g skill ddr4 3200mhz or 3600mhz or 4000mhz but I went to the place he said I choose a higher ram module it can burn or damage my pc or stop working is it true and he said 3200mhz would be good he suggested this to me but I convinced him to 3600mhz but not to 4000mhz and other things or computer hardware specs: Case: Cooler master K500 RGB, Air CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MA620P, HDD: Wd 1TB Blue I will upgrade it to WD Black 4TB, PSU: Cooler Master GX 650W CM Storm Edition 2018, GPU: Msi Gtx 1050Ti Gaming X Twin Frozr

Hey everyone, I've been having some problems lately with my G Skill Trident Z RGB lighting not working correctly. I had aura sync installed and was able to control all four RAM modules just fine for a few weeks until I started having problems. Every time I turn my computer on, all of the ram modules light up but they are completely out of sync. If I try to open aura sync, windows says that aura sync has stopped working and I have to uninstall and reinstall aura sync to use it. After I've reinstalled aura sync, I can only control the lighting on 3 out of 4 ram modules. The one module I can't control just does the default color cycle. I have to uninstall and reinstall aura sync every time I turn my computer off. This same problem happens with the G Skill software as well. My system specs are Asus Prime Z-370 A, intel 8700K, 32GB trident z rgb ram 3000Mhz, EVGA 1080ti ftw3, and an nzxt kraken x52 AIO water cooler. Thanks for any help in advance!

I have a msi sli plus mobo w/ 5820k haswell and g-skill ddr4 ram. right now I have 8 gigs ddr4 @ 2400 mhz. two 4 gig sticks but they only run @ 2133mhz. I just bought 2 x 8 gig g-skill ddr4 @ 3000 MHz as upgrade. the board supports it but how do I achieve it? I built this rig from the ground up for my son. I had no experience with computers prior. watched a lot of videos and read a lot of forums. I just like to build things! putting it together was the easy part. working in the bios is very intimidating. it runs great! very fast! but I want to get the most out of my setup. if anyone has a similar setup that can shed some light on the subject I would greatly appreciate it!!! Linus's videos helped me a lot with piecing this thing together. I make my son watch all his videos. he's turning twelve and he better learn how to work on it! i'm a little late in the game to learn all this stuff and make it stick.

Hello all, So my rig is unstable and I don't know why. It started acting funny earlier today, and it crashed once as I was typing this post. My specs are in my signature so I won't type them out here (trying to get it posted fast before it crashes again. Heres my super unscientific log: 1st crash: was watching youtube and all of a sudden my computer stopped outputting a display to my monitor, however the audio from the video was still playing which tells me that my computer was still turned on and successfully posted and in windows. After checking all my display cables rebooting my monitor and checking the power delivery to my GPU i waited for a while and then turned off my computer by holding the power button. I turn it back on and my mobo post screen tells me that overclocking failed and that I needed to reset my clock speeds and such in the bios however I never overclocked anything. I save (no settings changed) and exit my bios and my system boots into windows just fine so I start looking into it. 2nd crash: My system was just idling while I was out of the house and I got home and it was turned off so I turned it back on and got the same mobo post screen message, so I went into the bios and this time I disabled the XMP profile on my RAM (now running at 1333 instead of 2133) and I booted into windows and have been running for just a few minutes while typing this post. I will keep updating with future crashes if they continue. Could my first crash have been because of the RAM? Have I potentially fixed it by removing the XMP profile? If not what else could be the issue and what can I do to fix it? EDIT: 3rd crash: 10 minutes after originally posting this, my whole system froze and showed the same frame from the youtube video I was watching and was stuck in an infinite sound loop of the sound form the exact instant it froze. Keyboard and mouse were unresponsive and this time my mobo showed me the post code 02 which means "AP initialization before microcode loading". I booted up my system and did not get any post screen message just booted straight into windows and immediately reopened Chrome and started typing this edit. What does that post code mean? (im not good with BIOS lingo) Thanks for any help!!!!

NCIX: http://bit.ly/OGoyfI Amazon: http://georiot.co/3Iek G.SKILL memory was, at the beginning, very niche/high performance stuff at a very high price. Over the years they went from "only for extreme overclockers" to delivering great, stable mainstream RAM but they still haven't lost that niche appeal. This kit right here... Only validated on ONE board officially. So yeah, that's as niche as it gets, but that doesn't change the fact that WE think it's awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08jPTnYbh7E

I'm in the market for a 2x 8GB Dual Channel RAM kit. I know that Mhz, latency and voltage are the key performance differences. But what is the difference between for example Corsair Vengeance, Corsair Vengeance Pro en Corsair Dominator Platinum if all the other specs are the same? The same goes for G Skill Trident, G Skill Sniper etc. Also which do you think is better Corsair or G Skill? For example the 2x 8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600Mhz C7 V1.5 is $224 while the G Skill Trident with the same specs in $164.
