Star Citizen is letting people play for free until October 30th To get access to the game, you need to create or sign into an account. Once you have done that use the promo code "FALL2016" which will allow you to download and play Star Citizen. This can be done on the promotion's page. Everyone who join during the free to play period gets an F7C-M Super Hornet (pictured below). It has some serious firepower and is a two seat spaceship for you and your friends to play.

Just trying to rally some more people to try Battleborn, it recently went free to play, its escaped my radar for the past year because of the launch issues and a lot of people acting like its a terrible game. I own pretty much every game that's been at all popular lol, and I was getting kind of burnt out of all of them, however Battleborn restored my vigor and 25 hours in I'm still addicted. Anyone curious to try just grab it free from steam! One note though you have to get lvl 3 before you can play matches vs real ppl instead of bots (doesn't take too long). The gameplay is sort of like a blend of overwatch and smite (almost hate putting smite since its pretty low quality), but it also has a capture game mode, and a couple others that play completely differently from each other, theres also a campaign that's fun to play with friends, and the campaign experience and gear loot comes with you to PvP as well. If you like any of those games at all I'm sure you'll like Battleborn. There is 1000s of pieces of gear you can find from drops in campaign and through achievements & loot boxes in PvP. You can have multiple loadouts which each can hold 3 pieces of gear, and you activate the gear per round with the money you make, a very interesting take on items that I personally love. Games like Gigantic and Heroes of the Storm with no items get stale very quickly for me. You can also unlock additional abilities for your hero as you level them up, really enjoying the progression, and you can unlock skins from achievements and loot boxes, don't have to drop a penny on them. If you decide to buy it to unlock all the heroes and the campaign, you can grab it off Kinguin for $7.50 last time I checked. With that being said, theres a free hero rotation that changes weekly like League, and you can unlock all heroes with in game currency like League. Just doing my part in spreading the word, I really want to see this game thrive. Cheers! Steam account: Elite_Killerz (I was 12)

Summary Starting later this summer, the popular game Rocket League will become free to play. Those who currently own the game will get a legacy status (similar to the CS:GO Loyalty Badge). This will also come with some major updates to the in-game menus and make the game easier to explore. When this update comes, Rocket League will come to the Epic Games Store. Quotes My thoughts As someone who currently owns Rocket League but never plays, I am excited for this. I think with the game becoming free, more players will join and it will be easier to play with friends. And I know @RILEYISMYNAME will be excited for this Sources Rocket League Announcement usatoday

Hey guys, lately I have been looking for a great MMORPG that is free to play all the way without level limits and the like, that is also view-able in the first person, (and perferably not owned by a Tencent or one of their subsidiaries like Blizzard or Riot Games), and I decided why not ask what the LTT community has been playing. (P.S. a good Sci-Fi or Sci-Fa would be nice.

Some of you may be familiar with the game Lawbreakers, a fast paced arena shooter. The developers of Lawbreakers are entering the Battle Royale frenzy with a new release titled Radical Heights. Seems like an interesting idea... This bit I found interesting, there's no real "safe zone" or "circle" a player has to enter and keep up with. I feel like this last bit would be a huge game breaker. No real difference between best and worse? I feel like that could drive a lot of players away. What do you guys think? Cool-ish or nah? Ay m80s, im a csgo player who puts in around 50-60hrs a week (yes i know literally enough to get paid time and a half and a half), but I've started to burn out on it, my team is getting draw more towards things like MOBA's which i have little to no interest in. I need to fill my time while there off playing league, so i ask you guys, what are some ftp, linux compatible games that aren't MOBA's (because i don't like them and in total there's about 7 of them), or MMO's (because i already have no life).

It has long been rumored that The Elder Scrolls Online will go free to play eventually but that day may come sooner rather than later as Zenimax Online has removed one of the subscription options available for the MMO. Those looking to subscribe can now only choose between 30 day and 90 day options, whereas you used to be able to subscribe for 180 days. This could just be a simple case of the 6 month option not selling very well but many are starting to believe that this may be a prelude to a change in the game’s business strategy Other MMOs have removed subscription options before hopping on the Free to Play bandwagon in the past. A move to the Free to Play business model may also open the game up to a wider audience, including many of those that refuse to pay subscription fees but may very well buy a micro-transaction or two. Star Wars: The Old Republic did this a few years back, which has arguably boosted the game’s popularity. It is a little early to tell for now but this may be a sign of things to come. The change over to free to play could also coincide with the game’s delayed launch on the Xbox One and PS4. My Thoughts - i never understood why you had to pay 60$ to buy the game and buy a monthly subscription to play it ? non sense Source : http://www.kitguru.net/gaming/matthew-wilson/the-elder-scrolls-online-may-go-free-to-play-this-year/ Edit : Most free to play games

So I was just wondering if I'm not the only one worried and angry at the event right now in Dota 2? This event is for the Chinese new year celebration and is alarmingly veered away from valve's free to play scheme. What happens when one team spends lavishly on its Year Beast and the other doesn't? Terrible, unbalanced gameplay. Here is the original article on theverge I mean it's an just an event which will eventually be removed. But the scary part would be if every other event would be like this. I like playing with friends in an Unranked match but if the event is active you are forced to do this event and we really don't spend lavishly on these things.

Just wanted to say that the game is pretty awesome so far. It still needs balance (Fletcher's spamable Sticky Bombs and the Phantom's 1 shot Katana) but it is still a Beta so I guess that's to be expected. And until its out of beta I don't plan on spending much money on it. My only concern is that it's published by Nexon which has a history of ruining some F2P games. What do you guys think of the game? So far it has me hooked. SOME MORE INFO A few keypoints on why I like the game Nothing is blocked by your level - example: You couldn't get a certain gun until say lvl 24 Little to no pay wall - the only thing that requres you to pay for are Elite Cases (gives you higher grade loadout cards which are just skins of the lower grade cards) and the Credits Boosters. Everything else in the game is purchasable with the in game credits. Objective and Team Focused gameplay - Your K/D isn't shown until the end of the game and playing with the team and playing the objective can actually give you the higher score even if you end up with a low K/D Any Loadout cards above Bronze (all bronze cards are availible for purchase with in-game credits or cash) are only cosmetic skins and have no advantage. (SEE PICS BELOW) If you are interested in the game there are a few things you want to check out: https://eu.alienwarearena.com/giveaways/dirty-bomb-exclusive-alienware-skin-case-key-giveaway Alienware is doing a promotion with Dirty Bomb, all you have to do is sign up in their site and you get a Steam Key for 2 Cases with Alienware exclusive skins for the Starter mercs Aura and Skyhammer. http://store.steampowered.com/app/376380/ And this is the starter pack for the game which is a pretty good value, but by no means necessary to puchase. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about with loadout cards here some pics showing everthing about them: Source for pics: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/12972/the-db-genome-project-everything-there-is-to-know-about-loadouts

Hello, I currently have no money to spend on games so I was wondering, what are some good free to play MMO's or RPG's? Can you guys recommend me some to play? Thanks.

If you don't know what Free to Play means... It's basically a game which advertises itself as free, but it pulls you in a trap. You have micro transactions and benefits if you pay... One 15 year old teenager fell into the trap, and Kotaku writes about it... And they continue by saying: We should rename the "Free to Play" term to "Pay to Win" because if you have a credit card, you surely are the winner... This describes the current state of the Industry, if they actually wanted to make a Free game, would they be able to? They wouldn't be a real company if they aren't making any income... But todays kids are stupid also for actually spending that much money on a "free game". I've seen lots of people do this, and if you want to know how much this kid actually spent, well, you don't... Or atleast shouldn't, let's just say that he spent more than a yearly income... Or... 37,000 Euros And let's just remember that this happened because of his stupid mom who almost "let" him rob his GRANDFATHER'S CREDIT CARD

After six hard-fought rounds that pitted its tenacious tenno against menacing mechs, vicious street thugs, dragons (and their dungeons), the gods themselves, and that most dangerous of enemies – cute anime characters – Warframe sits upon the throne as the champion of the inaugural MMOBomb Ultimate F2P Showdown! Just hours before the final round of voting ended, it looked like Warframe would have to make do with second-place honors, but a legendary effort from the fan base and an 11th-hour promotion from developer Digital Extremes through the official Warframe launcher helped seal the victory. Warframe wrested control of the title from runner-up SMITE, racking up an astonishing 81,225 official votes. Fueled by a strong tournament-long drive on Reddit and early promotion through the official launcher, SMITE managed 80,071 votes, making the final margin an extremely competitive affair: 50.358% to 49.642%. In all, over half a million votes were counted in the tournament, with roughly half of that number going to the final two games alone throughout their runs in the tournament. Sometime soon, we’ll write a post-mortem recapping the showdown and detailing what we’ve learned from the competition, namely “it ain’t over till its over”! And the finals : As a result, the Warframe devs have starded a 24 hour alert with rewards consisting of potatoes(1 Orokin Catalyst and 1 Orokin Reactor)

Im interested to see what people though of Free To Play the movie. I'm not much into Dota but I think it was an awesome documentary, well put together and just great all round. Any of you people seen it? Liked it? Disliked it? Thoughts? Heres link: (I don't think this deserves to be in PC gaming because its broad, but mods move it if you really want)

Any suggestions for free to play games? I want something that will keep me going for a long time such as League of Legends. Preferably no MMOs or anything like that where you walk around and kill monsters to level up. Also no simulators. League of Legends, Planetside 2, and TF2 are out of the equation.
