RIVA shows me a constant 60fps without any drops, a flatline frametime timeline, and normal GPU and CPU temps and usage, but still, it doesn't look like fluid 60fps gameplay. My friend's games look way better on his PC and he uses an RTX 2060 My PC specs are: CPU: Intel 12700k, 4800 mhz GPU: 4070 TI RTX 12 GB VRAM TUF GAMING ASUS RAM: 32 GB - 2x 16 GB DDR5 5200 MHz Kingston Fury Beast Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z690-A STORAGE: NVME 2TB Patriot PSU: 850W GEN 5 PCI-E ATX 3.0 GOLD GIGABYTE here is my benchmark test https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/63625813 i tried: -Enable the resizable bar from BIOS and check in the Nvidia Control Panel. Disabling Vsync and limiting to 60 FPS with RIVA TUNNER -Update Bios -Update Nvidia software and Windows 11. -Reinstalling Windows 11 -Installing Windows 10 -Disabling Windows Game Mode -testing changing the GPU to a 2080 Super and a Radeon 6700 XT -testing changing the motherboard and CPU to an Intel 9700k and 16 DDR4 -Changing NVME Everything and my games stay the same. Could it be my house's electric current? Please, I invest so much in this PC, and while the games work, I want the best possible experience. I have this laptop with a i5-8265U and UHD 620graphics and a Geforce MX230 , connected to a VGA monitor via a a HDMI-VGA convertor I've been using my laptop like this for a while and then all of a sudden any kind of video play in the browser back or browser scrolling started getting laggy but the general UI (explorer , other apps) are running fine without any lag , even games ran fine without lags I disconnected the monitor and tried using my laptop directly on its inbuilt monitor and the issue still persisted , but only with video playback in the browser and general browser scrolling , I played games and the lag was not there , even in the external monitor So i did a clean reinstallation of the graphics drivers, tried restarting , and all the other basic fixes like reinstalling the browser and such and yet no avail https://photos.app.goo.gl/jWCrmbV5YjKiTw6R6 --- lag while scrolling https://photos.app.goo.gl/jWCrmbV5YjKiTw6R6 --- lag during video playback (video playback on other apps seems fine like VLC)

Hello people, I am not a tech genius but i do know a little bit and can have my workaround on my system. This are my system specs. Processor :- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core Memory :- 2x8gb sticks MotherBoard:- Asus TUFM B450M-Pro Power supply:- CORSAIR CV650 Bronze GPU:- MSI RTX 2060 VENTUS XS OC 6GB This issue just started yesterday, i started my game particularly Division 2 and then switch over to discord to join the voice chat. but as soon as i did that my frames in game drop to 8FPS, then i check through the task manager that all of 5.9GB of dedicated memory of my GPU which is like 99% while my GPU utilization was not even reaching 10%. so i tried to run other games too HALO MCC, Valorant these two games runs fine with no kind of frame drops but Red dead redemption 2 ran like division 2 with like 8-10 FPS. Yesterday i just tried to re-install the graphics driver and then the problem went away but now i as i was trying to open the game again this problem occured. I was not able to take any kind of screenshot because i just tried to restart the system as soon as possible(as i was in panic mode), Does anybody know what kind of problem i am facing, if this kind of issue occur again i will sure try to take a screenshot before restarting the system. I am using a monitor with Display port. Thank you for your help

For the past couple of months I have been experiencing an issue in multiple different games (CS:GO, Warzone, Forza 4) where I am on a loading screen, the frames will tank to about 0-1 FPS. For instance, I can't even get past the training in Warzone because the game runs at not even 1 FPS I can't interact with anything, and so have to alt+f4. However, when I alt+tab, the preview of the game looks to be running smoothly, but as soon as I tab in, it becomes almost unresponsive. I have no idea what this is, and even what part of my PC is causing this issue! I have a MSI Geforce RTX 2080, 16gb of RAM, Ryzen 7 3700x

Hey guys so I have been having issues with frames drops. I have 300 plus fps but it drops to 10fps every 5 minutes and goes back to 300fps in seconds. I know you might say its only for a second but its really annoying and I die every single time that happens. I dont want to use dx11 because it forces my gpu alot and is not stable. According to my researches dx12 is the thin that makes my frame drop for seconds. I researched but couldnt find any fixes. So does anyone now how I can fix this frame drops issue? Also I am not having heating issues. These are the parts I have 550w ps Motherboard: msi b450m a pro max GTX 1660 super Ryzen 5 3600x 2x 8 gb 3000mhz ram 500gb m.2 ssd Water cooling for cpu

Here's a link to video capture of the problem. It's way worse viewing it live on a 144hz monitor Probably more games. Issue doesn't exist in: StarCraft 2 Cyberpunk 2077 Any other Halo MCC game It seems to only happen for mice with a high polling rate. When I use a cheapo bluetooth mouse (or even a trackpad), it doesn't drop frames (though the tracking is garbage because the mouse is bad) In the video I'm using a Logitech Pro X Superlight (Hero sensor 1ms polling rate) However this also happens with a Zowie EC2-A (1ms polling rate) In the case of the video, I'm able to "reset" the frame dropping when I access the menu using "Escape". Specs: Intel Core i9-9900k Radeon VII (Latest Drivers as of upload date) Windows 10 with Latest Patches as of upload date Logitech Pro X Superlight (Standard Out of the box settings) I get the feeling it's some combination of AMD garbage and the high poll rate mouse

Hi, I got a Dell laptop G515 5587. I5-8300H, GTX 1060 Max-Q and 256 SSD. The game is in the SSD if you are wondering. So, I have checked the thermals both of CPU and GPU and the problem it's not thermal throttling. Now, this is what I know, and please take my word for it: Once every minute the game seems to suddenly switch to Intel Hd Graphics because the usage of the GTX drops below 10% and the Intel HD graphics peaks at 98%. And exactly during that change, obviously, the frame rate drops from around 50 to 9 or even 1fps. Then, exactly once the usage of the GTX goes up and Intel HD graphics goes down, the framerate of the game returns to the usual value. I've tried to decrease the graphics settings, even to play at 720p, the results are higher fps normally, but the same dramatically drop once every minute. Thus, the game is unplayable. In the Nvidia control panel, I have selected the GTX as the main graphic processor. I have read that it was a known issue last year but it should be fixed in the newer patches and I got the last one. English not my native language in case I've committed a major error in the writing. So, any suggestions? What can I do?? The game is very expensive and this is obviously the game´s fault.

When i play bf3, the game stutters, lags, and i experience constant frame drops. It jumps between 20 and 140 fps. I have updated my graphics drivers for my 1080 and i still have these problems. This does not happen in any of my other games. I built this pc (my very first) in december. Help would be appreciated.

Hey forum, I have been experiencing an issue in many of my games, most recently in Payday 2, where I get constant frame drops. It will run completely smooth at 60fps, then drop to around 20, then spring back to 60. My CPUs clock speed is stable and runs around 45 degrees. The GPU also is not throttling. What could be causing an issue like this? Specs are listed below. Thanks in advance for any help.

After I installed my new Amd fx 8350 processor my frames in first person shooter games drop randomly from 80-100 to 10-15. I previously had a fx 6300 and it was fine, just bottlenecking my system. When the Frame spikes happen the CPU load goes down and nothing else changes. I have a 1070 so that's not the problem, and I've kinda dealt with the issue since Christmas. When I try to install drivers I get them for the CPU but after I go through the process an error message will pop up saying that no GPU can be found, and I'm like duh I don't have an AMD GPU. I don't know what to do, I've tried resetting my computer but that didn't work PLEASE HELP!!! Build: MB: MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition CPU: AMD fx8350 GPU: MSI 1070 Aero RAM: 16gb HHD: WD 1Tb

Im gonna give Fortnite as an example, so i am sorry in advance! I have a core i3 5005u @ 2ghz, with an Nvidia 930m and 8 gb of ram in my Asus a555l laptop. This is easily good enough to play most games at medium, and has been for 4 years now. but recently ive faced issues, i can play fortnite at 60fps medium, but every minute or so, my game starts getting stuck like hell and goes down to 5 fps for a solid 30-40 seconds rendering it unplayable. this happens in all games, CSGO, Skyrim etc etc. ive checked the cpu cooler and temps and theyre fine, even the utilization doesnt exceed 40-60%. but this keeps happening. some people say its throttling but its not. idk what the problem is, even the HDD is fine. i really need to fix this, any help is deeply appreciated.

Okay so I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 pro from 8.1 pro, and ever since I upgraded I have been getting random frame drops that go from 120+ frames to under 10 frames for a few seconds. Here is an image of the task manager displaying the performance of my computer. The frame drops are noticeable on the GPU graph.ImgurHere is a video of the frames drops happening in-game.YouTubeI have tried: Installing new drivers for the GPU/CPU (Using Driver Booster 6),Un-parking all cores on the CPU,Cleaning my PC,Disabling Windows DVR,Using the lowest possible setting on games.PC Specs;GPU: GeForce GTX 960CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core ProcessorMemory: 16 GB RAMCurrent resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60HzOperating system: Microsoft Windows 10 ProI upgraded to Windows 10 for the xbox app so I could talk with friends but if I need to downgrade to Windows 8.1 I will.Any help is appreciated!

Hello I Have a strix 2080ti that has the frames drop to like 4 fps while gaming at random. I have noticed this with Ace Combat 7, Resident Evil 2, Battlefield V. For this example I was playing first couple of minutes Ace Combat online and had steady 96ish frames per second. I went into campaign mode and around 12:22 mark the frames just hit 4fps and I crashed the aircraft haha. Can anyone kindly take a look at my MSI HTML and share some feedback? Had issues previously that were very similar to this and it turned out to be dust build up causing themral throttling that was fully fixed and it hasen't caused any more issues untill today. Today I replaced the 60hz monitor with a 120hz monitor, (incredible difference btw) and all was fine untill I got a frame drop, maybe one per game to around 20-25ish from 100ish. Opened up HWInfo as that is what helped diagnose the issue last time. Last time the GPU was maxed out at 78C and started to thermal throttle, but this time it wasn't really that close to it. as the frame rate drops, all cores of the CPU massively drop their clock speed, meanwhile the CPU usage spikes (I presume to keep up with the load at a lower clock speed the total CPU utilisation would have to increase). Looking at the temps of the CPU I don't see any spike before hand that would indicate it is the CPU thermal throttling either. The GPU doesn't look to be the problem, but the CPU (I thought that last time as well but was wrong so could be again) If anyone can understand the drops in frame rate from these graphs whowing drop in CPU clock speed better than I can understand them, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Last week I upgraded my GFX card to an RX 5700 XT. Although my PC should be more than capable of running games like DOOM (2016) and Warzone im getting frequent frame drops. They vary between 2 and 10 fps and I'm not sure the cause of it. I have tried lowering the graphics settings and it does help but I still occasionally get fps drops. All drivers are updated and Vsync is on for all games. PC componants GFX: RX 5700XT CPU: R5 2600x 16gb 3200 RAM 27" HD monitor 60hz (not sure about the response time I'd say around 15-12 ms) Ive boiled the problem down to a couple of things however they both may be wrong. Number one could be a monitor bottleneck. This would be due to the fact that my GFX card is pushing so many frames the monitor cant keep up. Im not sure this is the whole issue as in some games I'm actually recording drops and in others im not (visual only drops being because of the monitor) The second issue may be because of my CPU. It may be the individual games due to differences in system requirments or it could be a CPU bottleneck however Im not sure about this as they seem compatible. All suggestions are appreciated

Hi, lately I have found when gaming and it does it on other games as well like BF4, Overwatch and Metro 2033. but my cpu usage had been going rather high. I mostly play OW, so what happens is when i get into a game it can be like 40-50% usage and then at other times on different maps it can high 80-100%. i know this is a given when there is more people around it will demand more but it seems to happen when i can be waiting in the spawn with 5 people around me and when there is battle it tends to happen ( which i know is a given) but i am running a 1080ti upscaled to 4k on max settings about 60 at the very least when the drop happens but mostly at 90- 100 fps if i lower the settings a little i get over 200 fps but yet i still get a real bad lag spike in / slow feel in game and my fps drops to like 90 is this maybe a bottleneck? or something else? done all driver updates and window updates as well ( just did a reinstall of OS to see if it helped )

Hi guys, I've been having these annoying frame drops/stutter since upgrading my hardware. I still have not found a solution.I've tried increasing the voltage fed to both CPU and GPU for my overclocks, lowered my overclock on the CPU and GPU (even down to stock speeds),changed my RAM placement on the motherboard, updated plenty of drivers, defragging my HDD and SSD, doing a fresh reinstall of my OS, improving my cooling solution (better CPU cooler, replacing the TIM for both CPU and GPU), turning off G-Sync on my monitor, and removing an antivirus that appeared to be consuming a lot of RAM.I've also checked for RAM memory leaks, and noticed a lot of Hard Faults/Second - don't know if this was significant so I have not looked too deep into this.Any tips? Thanks.PC Specs:Upgraded to Dell Gaming S2417DG YNY1D 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor with G-SYNCUpgraded to i7-7700KUpgraded to EVGA GTX 1080 TI FTW3Corsair H80i v2 CoolerEVGA 1000 W GQASUS z170e MotherboardRipjaws V 2133 8 GB x2

Hey, Since last week or so nearly every game or program drops frames (at least 30 fps (sometimes even to 0 fps)) when I move my Mouse. I already searched for a solution and tried everything. I have a Logitech g502, Windows 10, gtx 970, maximus VIII Hero. Also, I would be happy if there wasn't the need of a reinstall. I would really appreciate help. Thanks in advance, Ermodo

I had my PC shipped to me last September, and it was a beefy lad. The first game I downloaded and played was Space Engineers (Steam), and I was ranging in frame rates from 100 to 150. After a few minutes of playing, video would freeze up and audio would still play, forcing me to shut down. After scrounging through other forums, I was recommended to turn down my CPU speed in AMD Catalyst. I bumped the speed down form 4.7 GHz to 4.5, and then put it back to 4.7. Since then, there has been no freezing... quite odd... Thinking that my PC was in top shape, I started playing other games. The SIMS 4, 7 Days to Die, Skyrim, Planetside 2, and Red Orchestra were just a few (at this time, I only had two fans for case cooling and a water cooling unit for my processor). I started to notice a pattern of frame loss; for about twenty seconds or so, I would drop from 60+ FPS to about 5-10 FPS (that being twenty seconds of 5-10 FPS), then go back up to 60+ FPS for about fifteen seconds (that being 60+ FPS constant for fifteen seconds). I had the though of my RAM being too low in speed or amount, considering my memory usage was almost 15% constant at just the desktop and 60-90% while playing games. Crawling through forums again, a lad had recommended I blow a desk fan into my PC to see what happens. I did this, and tested out a few games. I would run 60+ FPS for about thirty seconds now and only have the low time at 10-15 FPS for about ten seconds (in voxel based games, frames are vice versa). So, I went out and bought some 2400 RPM fans, and left it at that (I still had the frame rate issue on the extent described above). Now, some funk... Using task manager during a 7 Days to Die session (running on ultra around 60 FPS) I noticed something odd. During the frame loss, memory was unaffected (70% usage), but CPU usage would drop from 50% to about 15%, and Disk usage would rise from 0% to about 5%. When it was all over and I was back to 60 FPS, the usage would be about 50% CPU, 70% Memory, 0% Disk, and 0% Network. Mind you, the frame drops happen at every graphical level on the affected games, just not on the intensity as Ultra or Very High. Battlefield 4, Skyrim, Red Orchestra, and Mount and Blade are totally unaffected by this frame loss situation... >I believe you can see my PC specs in my profile >I got my PC from Cyberpower >I've not tampered with anything since, except for removing my GPU thinking it was the problem and getting it replaced >A friend had said it could be the lack of thermal paste on my CPU, knowing that the issue at hand is thermal throttling Sorry for the Four-part Epic, but I didn't want to miss out on any detail. Any fix to my situation?

Hi, so Ive had this problem for a while now where if I play some games then I drop from 50+ fps down to 20 for about 5 seconds every 2-3 mins and then back up again, this is the same even if I run these games on low so I cant see it being the Graphics card. PC specs: Fx8120 stock cooler M5A78L-M/USB3 Asus Motherboard Saphire Toxic r9 270x 8gb ram Im thinking of upgrading My cpu to an I5 4690k and a msi z97 gaming 5 motherboard with a coolermaster 212 evo cooler but dont know if that will fix the problem. both cpu and gpu temps are normal.... I recently got another AOC 23" l2353PH monitor (now i have 2) and i have noticed a significant frame rate drop in Battlefield 4. In BF4 i usually run 70-80 fps with my settings and hardware but when i have both monitors plugged in it drops to 50-60 fps. I was wondering if that is caused by having 2 monitors plugged in and if there is a way to fix the problem or even disable one of the monitors while gaming.(I have a Gtx 770 if that helps)

While playing games on my computer I randomly have a drastic frame drop. When I say drastic I mean 180+ to 1-3 just for a brief second and then it goes back to normal. I have no Idea what it could be. If you want to check out my system it's saved on my profile, but I don't think it's a hardware issue.
