So, I've been having stuttering issues, I tried a bunch of different stuff, even upgrading my ram, adding a ssd and swapping my hdd as well, but nothing seems to work, and it's getting really annoying (the stutters happen in pretty much all games, a few more than others) PC SPECS: MB: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: RX 6600 8GB RAM: GSKILL RIPSAW 2x8GB DDR4 3200Mhz PSU: CV450 (ATX - 450w - 80 Plus Bronze) SSD: KIOXIA-EXCERIA (Windows) HDD: ST1000DM010-2EP102 (Games) The fps is fine if I'm just standing or moving most of the time (although sometimes it spikes when I'm moving/looking around) but I get really heavy stutters (not everytime) when I shoot, explode something, just open a door to a new place, etc... - Just a random example, I was testing rocket league and I run it at 400fps, but when I join a game, sometimes when a goal or explosion happen, my 0.1% low goes down to 20fps and I stutter, it's not that bad since it's mostly when I'm not playing, but in other games it happens in the middle of the action (Currently Uploading a video to youtube with an example, I'll share the link here when it's done for real time metrics) Screenshot of the metrics using MSI Afterbuner - RTSS (messed up a few names, the specs above are the correct ones)

Hey guys, new on here and i recently "upgraded" to windows 11 because i wanted to test it out and i'm running into a problem that i didn't have with windows 10 before. Let me try to explain it as best as i can. I like playing mmo's and i love to grind my stuff out. Sometimes that takes a long while and you have to wait so i put on a second game on second monitor. Until recently this was all fine (while on windows10). The thing that happens now is that when i have my game on one screen and just AFK there a bit and boot up another game the entire thing just freezes until i alt+tab to it again. It takes a second and then its back but the other game starts to drop fps and freeze. So my question basically is; what causes this and is there a way to fix this? I tried looking stuff up on youtube but as soon as as video starts with please download this super amazing software from a website you've never heard of comes up i just click it away. If i need to clarify something please let me know and hopefully one of you knows the answer! Thank you in advance! **Edit: Sorry if this doesn't belong on this thread. Dont know where else to put it

Hi everyone, I assembled for a friend a new pc, every part is brand new. Here's the list: Monitor: LG 34WN80C Case: IQUNIX ZX-1 PCIe Riser: the one who came with the case, PCIe 16x 3.0 17mm CPU: Intel i5-13400 GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4070 Eagle OC-12GD MoBo: ASUS ROG STRIX B760-I RAM: Corsair Vengeance 5600Mhz K2 CL36 2x16GB SSD: SSD 1TB Crucial P5 plus Cooler: Kraken X53 PSU: Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold OS: Windows 11 PRO Now, the problem is that he gets really crappy FPS in pretty much every game, except League of Legends. Hogwarts Legacy, with every settings on low and DLSS on Max Performance, only goes to 14-16 FPS in the char selection. We tried opening Thief, the remake, and in the menu it drops to 24 FPS with the lowest settings... We tried a normal 1080p monitor, only 2 FPS gain. We tried updating drivers, bios, ME, but nothing solved the problem. I tried looking into the bios to search for a settings to bring the PCIe slot to 3.0, but I didn't find the setting, and GPU-Z recognize the GPU with a "PCIe x16 4.0 @ x16 1.1". Since the riser is a 3.0, I think this mismatching of gen between GPU <-> Riser <-> Mobo is causing the problem. Any other idea? Should we try and buy a new riser cable?

Hey guys! As stated in the title, i am experiencing weird fps drops during League of legends matches. This phenomenon occours usually once (sometimes twice) during games. It is really annoying to drop to 30-20FPS from 120-100FPS for like 10-15 seconds. The laptop i have is a Dell vostro 3510 with an Intel i5 1135G7 cpu and the integrated Iris Xe gpu it came with. I have upgraded the system RAM from a single channel 8GB 3200Mhz stick to a dual channel 16GB 3200Mhz kit that i have bought. I also upgraded the system with a 1TB ssd(i don t think these upgrades cause the issue, both the RAM and the SSD work fine). My drivers, and BIOS are up to date. I am using Throttlestop to boost my clock speeds of the CPU. Imma have a screenshot of the settings attached below. First i thought this was the problem, as the CPU would get around 90 degrees. So i checked the Disable turbo box, in hopes that it would keepo the temps down, and so it did (never went over 60C°). With these settings however i still had the same issue in the next game. My thoughts were that it is not related to temps, but then what it is? I have made a log using HWinfo during one of my games, and went to see the graphs in a tool. Exactly at the same time (around 14minutes 30 seconds), when i had the fps problems ingame there are some weird spikes on the graphs.(Also attached, both a picture, and the log itself.) I would be really happy if you guys could help me! Best regards: Badscream lol.CSV

Hey guys I recently got a new Samsung EVO 860 1 TB ssd and installed it in my current rig for more memory, the night I installed it I was running CsGo and Fortnite great as I always do 180+ frames in Fortnite and 200+ in CSGO and Sea of Thieves amongst other games, however the next day after I powered down and went to play those games my FPS tanked hard, I went from getting amazing frames to now in the low 60s + below on above games, however I’m able to play rainbow six siege with 120+ frames on my native resolution just fine, also Fortnite was ran on my native 1920x1080 res alongside sea of thieves too just fine and now they tanked frames, and CsGo I run at 1280x1024 and was getting 200+ frames but now I’m getting below 60, I’ve ran core temps, checked fan speeds, and checked for game bar and DVR both of which are disabled and have been if I can get some help that would be greatly appreciated, also I may have been on a carpet rug when installing the SSD, I know big oof but I’ve tested all my hardware and it seemed to be okay so I’m coming to this subreddit to get further opinions and further information on where I should go from here. Whether it’s upgrading hardware or investing into a new rig or just doing a factory reset, all of your comments are greatly appreciated! And any information and help is gladly taken! Here are my specs: GPU- EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER SC CPU- Intel i7-8700k @ 3.70 GHz (Coffee Lake) MOBO- MSI Z370-A PRO RAM- x4 G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB Here's a screenshit of my task manager, just so you can see the details, like I said in fortnite and cs especially I was getting great frames like 200+ now I can barely keep 70 in cs and 60 in Fortnite *EDIT* I also don't use vsync in any games I play..

Something happend with my internet connection and it's causing my fps to drop because of dsync I believe. Baisicly when my ping/ms spikes from about 7ms to 20ms every 2 seconds, my fps drops for like 20fps which causes huge lag spikes. I've tried the obvious like reseting the router, reseting the PC, updating drivers, nothing works. I can't find any solutions. Please help! Hey guys, first time using the forum so sorry if Im posting on the wrong spot! Ive been having issues for about a month and a half now where my FPS will suddenly drop and jump around from 144 to as low as 0-5 for several seconds, like the visuals are "grinding." I overclocked my CPU with this video about 2 months ago: I decided to turn the OC off because I figured I didn't need it with the boost. Ever since then its been having issues. This is happening in games as simple as Terraria, with 0 mods and what not. Here is my full computer specs: https://valid.x86.fr/p9zusg (CPU-Z) And here is a quick benchmark of my computer vs my buddies 2080ti/i7-8700: Sorry for the use of camera lmao Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank yall!

Hi folks! I recently upgrade my system from an old FX-8350 + AM3 platform to a 10600k + Z490 and weird stuff start happening. Since the moment I turned on the PC for the first time after the upgrade the screen flashes a blue screen with pink striped borders followed by a full pink screen, after that Windows boots normally. After not having success with neither of the two XMPs I tried some memory OC profiles from Memory Try it! (the mobo is MSI) starting with 4000Mhz: Cinebench.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 2h.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 4h.......FAIL! So, back to the BIOS and next on the list was 3866Mhz: Cinebench.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 2h.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 4h.......OK! Satisfied with the result I decided to call it a day and go to bed. The next day I turn on the machine (the pink screen still happens, I assume it must be a board glitch or something) and start a 12h gaming session with no issues, no drops, no freezes, high frames, everything was perfect. The day after that (today) I turn on the game and after 30 minutes or so the PC freezes with a buzzing sound. I've seen these before often related to unstable memory OC, so once again back to the BIOS now testing 3400Mhz: Cinebench.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 2h.......OK! Prime95 Large FFT 4h.......OK! Now I turn on the game and I notice frames dropping till the image freezes but the game sound keeps rolling normally and I can terminate the game's process and keep using the PC (browser, Discord, etc) like nothing happened. So I decided to undo any OC on the memory, now sitting at 2133Mhz and I don't run any test. The game image freezes after a couple of minutes so I rollback to some 2019 drivers that seems to be the most stable ones for an RX 470 (19.9.1) and the ones I used for a long time with my previous combo. With the old drivers installed I run the game for a couple of hours with no issues, then suddenly the card goes jet engine with the fans at 100% when the temps are barely hitting 60C. I reset the fans by turning ON and OFF the auto mode in MSI Afterburner (this happened before but no with the fans going 100%) and after a couple of minutes again, game image freezes with sound going and I can terminate the process. So I'm having some trouble trying to decipher which part or parts are causing the system instability and need some advice in this area, any help will be highly appreciated.

I have noticed all of my games have been stuttering recently. I have logged my performance on both CSGO and TF2 and have noticed massive stutter spots and considerable frame drops. My friends think it may be a RAM issue, I am not quite sure. Also, I am not sure if this is helpful, but I have well over 200 fps in CSGO and I use a 75 HZ monitor with an HDMI cable. I have noticed that whenever I have stutters, all of the following drop: GPU utilization, CPU utilization, GPU SCLK and MCLK, GPU power, and FPS. Specs are: -Ryzen 5 2600 -XFX RX580 -1x8GB RAM CSGO log/TF2 log

I am dealing with some stuttering in games and I may have found some connection/clue. Whenever I drag around windows that have moving graphs (MSI Afterburner, QuickCPU etc) the window stutters/freezes intermittently. I should reiterate that this ONLY OCCURS when dragging a window with a moving graph or something of that nature (LatencyMon, MSI Afterburner). Dragging any other window is smooth as butter. Here is an example of what I'm experiencing: https://vimeo.com/497501909 My GPU/Motherboard drivers are up to date, fresh install of windows, XMP enabled etc. Any help appreciated

Hi. steady gamer here with some issues that requires the brilliant minds of you all to help diagnose and fix. Im currently gaming on a laptop with a ryzen 7 3750h with a 1660ti max q and 16 gigs of RAM on dual channel, i play game such as apex legends and dota 2 and occasionally the Valorant. in the last few days ive been getting random freezes and fps drops which lags the game for a good 5 to 10 seconds every few minutes. like i will be cruising around in apex legends with a good 70 to 100 fps and suddenly im lagging with the fps dropping down to 10 or 15 , even with the game sound getting distorted. same case for other games too, first i thought it might be because of the new graphics driver from a few days ago and i reverted it back to the old one but that did not solve my issues and also i considered my network being unstable and monitored it but thats not the issue either. help guys

Hello, when I play Rocket League or Valorant I am getting fps drop every 15-20 seconds. Do you know why it's like that? I've tried: Moving the games from hdd to ssd Reinstalling the games Reinstalling the windows I checked the cpu, gpu and ram usage, the cpu was: 20-75% used, gpu: 10-60% used, and I still have over 1.5-3gb avalible ram. The cpu temp is 35-55C and the gpu is max 65C.

Hi everyone, last night I was playing Bioshock Infinite without any problems. Today I entered my pc to work, and in the afternoon I tried to play some Fortnite with a couple of friends, and the game was running extremely bad, with a lot of stuttering, lagging and FPS drops, even on the lowest. At first I just thought that was because of the recente season change, so I tried to play Monster Hunter World, and had the same exact problems, and the same thing with Bioshock Infinite, which worked without any problems last night. I didn't change anything on my pc, didn't update any drivers, didn't install any programs, nothing. When I checked the task manager, I noticed that my GPU was reaching 100% in every game, so I thought that was the issue. After a clean windows reinstall, I tried Monster Hunter World and the problem still persisted, now not using 100% of my GPU. I tried changing stuff on the NVIDIA control panel, uninstalling NVIDIA HD Audio Drivers (I read somewhere that these could cause similar issues), disabling NVIDIA overlay and windows game task bar, reverting to a previous video driver, nothing worked. Already checked temps (GPU around 50 to 60 °C, can reach 70 °C in a more modern game) , and my SDD and HD are basically empty. If someone knows how to fix this, please help me. SPECS: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 16GB Ram SDD Kingston 240GB Seagate 2TB HD Corsair VS650 (3 to 4 years old) EDIT: - Lowering the quality of the games doesn't fix the issue, but it increases the time between the fps drops.

I bought a gaming pc in 2016. I order it by a pc webshop and they assembled it, see picture for parts. They tested it and shipped it. When I plugged it in and was done I tried shutting it off, but it started back up again, after a week of calling and mailing pictures they said the power supply wasn’t compatible with the motherboard, so I shipped it back, whey send me a mail explaining that the power supply was broken and they replaced it with a other one. I originally ordered a 650w power supply but they changed it to a 600w power supply, a while later the company filled for bankruptcy. That’s The backstory of my PC, this is the problem I have with my PC, every few minutes the frames will drop from 120 to a 10 to 15 FPS for halve a second and then go back up. It doesn’t matter what game I play, wow, gta v or a old game from early 2000s. Even if I set it on the lowest graphics. When I looked it up online, I only find things about overheating call mom and the frame rates staying low, But my frame rate goes back up immediately, so what can it be? Someone I know sad to me it can be the power supply, He said maybe it’s to low wattage. The PC is doing this since it came back from the workshop with the new power supply. Maybe someone can help me.

Hello everyone. firstly I want to apologize for my bad English. Now I will get down straight to the point. a few weeks ago (between 2 or 3 weeks) I got a sudden fps drop middle of my game that comes from no where (I had no similar issue before). so firstly I thought it's just my game problem but then I realized it's happen in all my games... so I start monitoring my cpu, gpu and other things while playing games and I realized it's something wrong with my cpu temp. It reach to 98°c on max performance in games while I had no problem before on same settings. And 36 on Idle. so surly it comes to my mind that I have to clean my laptop and change thermal paste, and I did. I cleaned both cpu and gpu fans and vent (there were lots of dust really) and change thermal paste. After that I test my laptop and I got real big difference for my gpu. before cleaning it was around 85 under heavy pressure but after that it comes around 65. But for my cpu... sadly I got no difference and still it reach to 98°c and my games throttled... I also use from a fine coolpad while my both laptop fans works perfectly. I have no idea why I still have this problem after cleaning and where this temperature throttling comes from... At last my laptop is Acer nitro 5 515-51 and the config : i7 7700hq - gtx 1050 ti (4gb) - 16gb ram - Windows 10 64bit

Even my windows is slow,my mouse coursor is lagging somtimes. I discovered that this problem is on GPU intens games(codwz2,sw jedi:fallen order, borderlands 3) and I only tested one CPU relied game(ow2) and it was butter smooth. My windows(10) had the 22h2 update but i can't uninstall it because of the win reinstall. I have the latest nvidia drivers(526.98-16.11.22) My specs: -Intel core I5 11400f -Asus prime h510m-a -RTX 3050 -g.skill aegis 2x8gb 3200mhz -kingston nv1 ssd 250gb -wdblue 1tb hdd -kingston(sata)ssd -cooler master 650w bronze The things that I've tried: -reinstalling windows -reinstalling gpu drivers -changing in game visual settings -researing my gpu -turning of intel turbo boost -reseating my RAM's I don't have any other idea.I don't know what to do. If you can help me,or had the same problem please tell me what else to do.

Hi guys, my system is performin really bad, being beating by my friend with a similar cpu and a 3070ti. In any game any resolution chnag eor graphics setting change does not affect fps whatsoever. A the given fps is lower than standard. In squad no matter what settings i cannot handle 60fps constant unlike ym 3070ti friend. Hunt showdown is 140fps low and high 1080p and 4k. BFV is v low fps like 130 on 1080p. very frustrated. full system 4080 aero i7 12700 16gb 3000mgh dual channel msi a850gf gold plus certified psu 240gb boot ssd 120 spare ssd 1tb crucial m.2 ssd Temperatures are all below 60 all games so its not throttlign whatsoever.
