Hi guys. I have bought hardware for 2 storage servers, which i was trying to set up right now, but i simply cant get the systems to boot. Both have a nearly identical setup: - Xeon Silver 4314 CPU - 4x 32 GB Kingston Server Premier DDR4 - a Network Card - an HBA-Card - 2 Sata SSDs connected over Sata - 4 Drives connected to the HBA only difference are the mainboards: One is running a Gigabyte mu72-su0 and the other one is an AsRock c621a ws As i said none of them boot. They are giving me a graphis out but i cant get to the BIOS. The gigabyte is stuck at Mermory Initalization adn the whatever memory channel is populated (i tried all slots, only one stick, single 2666 non-ecc stick...) The As Rock is giving me Code E8 (or EB) on the Display of the board and on the screen only a simple 31 in the bottom right corner. I think i could messed up something with the RAM but what...? Every bit of help would ba appreciated, i am really depending on your help guys! Best greetings JD

I got my pc to boot finally (after a trainwreck of problems and im still not sure if my mainboard is properly functioning) and shut it down after installing the graphics driver to screw on my SSD cooling block thingy I wanted to boot again but now it wont turn on again. No signal to the monitors, and my RGB on my fans wont turn on. Also, my system goes BALLISTIK when booting (or not lol) to the point i am scared it will take off.

well hello gentleman, for the last 4 years my pc works just fine. but 2 days ago, it start doing a wierd behaviour. every time after the psu has been unplugged/turned off next start will do the "first boot" cycle, where i start the pc, it will turns off after a second and then starts again to the "first boot" cycle and then it will boot into win 10 normal. If I just shutdown the pc without turning off the power supply and start it, it works like normal. so it is something that causes this when there is no power to the system, any help will be great.

I updated the motherboard BIOS to 3.90 with AMD bootkit, as the original BIOS was not compatible with the CPU I bought I did the first boot and installed windows 10 64x while using the CPU that AMD sent for the BIOS update (Athlon 240GE with Vega graphics) But still can't boot with my own parts Any ideas or suggestions? Motherboard: ASRock B450M Steel Legend (BIOS 3.90) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, 3.8GHz AM4 RAM: Husky Gaming 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 (x2) SSD: Adata 480GB SU635 SATA HD: WD Blue 1TB SATA GPU: ASUS TUF NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB GDDR6 (3 fans) Power Supply: AeroCool KCAS 500W 80 plus bronze Edit: The problem was that the RAM would not reach 2666MHz it supposed to. I had to ajust to 2400MHz in the BIOS after some help of friends that had spare parts. Also the BIOS had to be downgraded to P3.70 and now everything is working just fine.

Hi I have an issue with my new build. After putting parts together PC turns on (all fans spinning, lights turn on, AIO works), but display does not react at all (connected it both GPU - HDMI - Display and GPU - DP - Display). Display shows a message "No signal". Changing display input manually from the monitor menu doesn't help. After 15-20 seconds GPU fans stop, PC reboots and goes to power cycle on/off. Tried to reinstall RAM sticks, reconnect power on MB/GPU - issue stays the same. Display is working with my laptop via HDMI. PC Specs: MB Gigabyte B460 HD3 LGA1200 CPU Intel Core i7-10700F GPU ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming (2x8 pin PCIe power connectors) AIO Deepcool GAMMAXX L240T RAM Kingston HyperX DDR4-3200 (2x8 GB) HX432C16FB3AK2/16 PSU Be Quiet! System Power 9 CM 700W 80+ Bronze SSD Corsair MP510 240GB HDD Toshiba HDD P300 1TB 7200RPM Display LG 27MP59G-P 27" *all parts are new from the box I assume that could be PSU issue or GPU. Do you have any ideas? Any help is very appreciated.

Hey there! My friend ordered new CPU, motherboard and ram for his old gaming computer. He got a i5-10400f, a Asus Prime H410m-d motherboard, and some 4666mhz ddr4 ram (2 sticks) After building the pc, we connected everything and booted it up. The BIOS logo appeared, I was then prompted to press F1 because "a new cpu was detected", which I did. I entered the BIOS and checked if the ram was at the right speed, and left the BIOS. Then started our problems. There is simply no screen output. The screen doesn't even display black, it just goes to sleep mode after saying no output has been detected. Now we don't even see the bios logo on startup anymore, the monitor doesn't even react to the computer starting up. We've plugged the video cables on the motherboard, have tried different cables, different screens, changed GPU, replugged every single cables in the motherboard, tried with only one stick of ram, with every one of the sticks of ram. We tried removing the battery of the Motherboard, making a CMOS clear, re-seatting the CPU.... Nothing worked or made any kind of difference. I come here desperately for gel or advice, even though I am now fairly convinced that the motherboard just died for no reason whatsoever. Thanks!!

So I've just built my friend a gaming PC for the first time. Regardless of my part choices (and did I make some poor ones. Still very new to the Intel world), I put it all together at waited for BIOS to pop up, or even the DOS screen. Nothing. Shoot, I keep forgetting to plug the HDMI cable into the graphics card, not the motherboard. Reboot. Nothing. I try switching my source channel on the monitor. Nothing. In short, I have no idea why this brand new PC won't boot to BIOS, and I've spent way too much time attempting to fix it. I speculate that it's an issue between the processor and motherboard, but I'm not positive. The system runs fine, and has had no hiccup, as I've let it sit untouched for 20 minutes with no change. Here's the specs and the things I've tried. Specs: Intel i7-7700 (Not K) Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura Motherboard 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 (2666 MHz) Asus GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Phoenix Edition (Single Fan) *It is worth mentioning that this card was in a different system with 2 weeks worth of use Corsair CX450M Power Supply NZXT S340 Case (Not sure why that would matter, but hey) Stock Intel Fan with pre-applied thermal paste What I've tried (without success): 1) Switching sources on the monitor 2) VGA (On-board graphics) 3) DVI to HDMI cable (DVI on the graphics card, HDMI to monitor) (Again, not sure why this would matter) 4) HDMI (Tried on both motherboard and graphics card) 5) Taking out the graphics card and exclusively attempting on-board graphics 6) Resetting CMOS without the graphics card in place and attempted to boot from the motherboard 7) Verified (and re-inserted for confidence) CPU 8-pin from power supply to motherboard 8) Verified (and re-inserted for confidence) 20 + 4 pin from power supply to motherboard 9) Swapped out with identical graphics card 10) Swapped out with a brand new EVGA 500 W Power supply 11) Checked Processor was secure and properly seated 12) Verified both memory sticks were in the correct channels (A2 & B2 in this case) and were secured in place 13) Attempted using one stick (In channel A2 as suggested by the manual), swapping both sticks one at a time. 14) Plugged mouse and keyboard into motherboard back via USB. Now interestingly enough on that last one, I plugged my NAOS LED mouse into a USB socket, and to my surprise after powering on, the LED failed to light. I tried on the case's front USB's front ports, and still no light. I tried a couple flash drives as well that I would have expected to light, and nothing. So I'm not getting any power to my USB ports, which I can therefore assume must be all ports. Right? I swapped power supplies after this as well and still there was no power to the USB mouse (or the keyboard I'm assuming). So what could possibly be wrong? My friend wants this beautiful build as soon as possible, so a timely response or suggestion is much appreciated. My other, more knowledgeable PC friend suggested one of two things. Either the motherboard is bad (it's brand new but sure) or my 7th gen processor is not comparable with my 6th gen board. If that's the case, I hope to god I can get a return on the processor or motherboard. Please. PLEASE. HELP. Thanks in advance.

Hello i recently decided to build a new computer due to me moving house the specs are here: APU: Ryzen 3 3200g MOBO: Gigabyte ga-b450m-ds3h RAM: Hyper X Fury 3200mhz ddr4 (1x8Gb) PSU: Corsair CX450M When i start my computer everything turns on, all fans are spinning motherboard leds work but i get no signal on my monitor, i made sure everything was in where it is supposed to go i checked every cables the 8-pin for the APU the 24 pin mobo, cpu fan, the ram is clipped into place and tried every slot of ram. I don't have the little motherboard speaker because i am using an old case so i can't hear if there are any errors. I am using a hdmi cable for the monitor, tried dvi with another monitor still no success. Some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

For the first time, i have assembled a pc. I'm waiting for my monitor to arrive, which will probably take 4 days. I tried connecting my pc to my tv via HDMI and it didn't work. I can confirm that pc is powering on and graphics card is also working, but can't get the display on my tv working. Is it not possible to do first boot with tv acting as display? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

So I just put together this computer : ryzen 3 3200g g skill ripjaw ddr4 3200mhz msi b450i gaming plus ac evga 450w psu everything went together, I checked and nothing was dead. I went to go boot it up and black screen nothing detected, I tried different ports. But I realized my back io isn’t working(neither is my front). The only thing that is on is the dram led. I watched plenty of videos, my power connectors aren’t loose, i've tried booting with one stick of ram(I tried both). At this point I think it might be the Cpu that's the problem but I pray it's not that, So I’m not sure what the issue is, Please help so I pulled out my other computer and before messing with the cpu I tried the ram, it was the ram, I guess the ram died..

Hello everyone, just have everything together to boot, but... nothing. I have been checking connections for an hour now and I dont think that's the problem. I am using a Msi b350m bazooka with a ryzen 5 1600 and 8gb ddr4 ram from hyperx. I already checked the psu, and it works. My main concern is that the built in EZ Debug LEDs dont blink nor is there any beeps from a speaker. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, this is a pretty straight-forward question: Is it normal that the fans don't spin when ram isnt installed? This is my first PC-Build and I have everything I need, but the ram cards. I know that ram is a must-have for booting but I turned on the psu anyways in hope that anything would blink or bleep or the fans would start spinning, but no. Psu is fine, btw. I tested it. Thank you for your suggestions! Edgar

This is my first time building a Pc, I want to get gaming but I want to do it safely. I think I have all of my parts in and ready to go. I was hoping someone could just sorta help me check off all of the requirements so I don't fry anything. I've got my motherboard, PSU, my processor, all of my case fans and controls, along with the reset and power buttons, fans, and my graphics card plugged in. My hard drive and SSD are both plugged in with SATA and the bigger one also. This is my first build though so I want to make sure I'm doing it right. Any other precautions I should take before plugging in the main power cable and switching it on? Also do I need to put the panels back on before I plug it in? My Parts: - [ ] i7 4790 - [ ] Z97-E - [ ] 650w corsair - [ ] Crucial ballistix sport 16GB Ram - [ ] GTX 960 FTW 4GB - [ ] 850 EVO 250GB - [ ] 1TB WD blue - [ ] Spec alpha (case) - [ ] WIN 10

Hello, I am fairly new to PC building and am trying to develop good habits when building. I've read that when assembling a computer for the first time you should hook everything up outside of the case first to make sure it works before you spend all the effort to put it inside the case. What is the minimum amount of components that you need in order for the BIOS to show up? Currently I've only installed the powersupply, cpu, cpu cooler, and ram (PC has onboard graphics.) My parts are a i7 6700k, be quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 cpu cooler, 4 x 8gb sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3400, Seasonic 1000W Platinum power supply, and Asus Z170-DELUXE. I have all these hooked up and when I short the power pins with a screwdriver all the lights come on on the motherboard, the CPU fan spins(then stops), the power supply fan spins(then stops), and then nothing. I am plugging into the HDMI on the motherboard and have a keyboard and mouse wired in. Thanks for any input, Sal

Hey everyone, I need help with booting my first build and installing windows 8.1. I have an Asus Z97-A motherboard and I'm trying load my OS. So could anyone tell me what settings I should change in my BIOS in order to boot to my usb drive, if I even need to change any settings? I can see in (EZ mode of my motherboard) my ssd I plan to install the OS to, and I can see the "UEFI:(FAT) Kingston traveler" (which is supposed to be the bootable usb drive I created). When I set the boot priority as #1: the usb drive (Kingston data traveler), and #2: ssd. I then restarted my system. After I restart my system, without pressing anything to avoid going into BIOS, my system goes to a screen that says "remove media device, press any key" and doing that just takes me back to my BIOS. So now I need help with figuring out if the problem is the bootable usb drive I tried to create or settings in the Bios. If the problem could be something else please let me know. Also, if you could tell me the best way create a bootable usb drive please do. I have downloaded the windows 8.1 Iso file and copied it to several places. Now I think I will try to create another bootable usb drive to see if that is the problem but I don't know what the best way is or how to tell if the process of making the bootable drive worked. Please help Thank you, Tyler Sorry for the grammar

Hi, I just finished building my first PC and i'm sure i did everything correctly as i double checked every wire. However when i plugged the PC into the display, it said that there was no signal and i had to check my system. I didn't get any beeps from my motherboard, it just had the green light on the motherboard and the red light near the RAM flashed a few times. I asked my friend who said it was probably the motherboard, which i've now sent back for a replacement. I also did some troubleshooting on the GPU and its definitely not the issue. I would love for some other opinions though. Thankyou

Building a PC for a friend. Here are specs: CPU: 4570 MOBO: MSI H87-G43 Graphics: Asus 660ti DirectCU2 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB SSD: Samsung 840 120GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB PSU: XFX Pro 450w I'm trying to install windows onto the SSD. I have 2 copies of windows; Legitimate Windows 8 Pro 64bit on a memory stick. Even used Microsofts USB boot iso mount software to put it on memory stick. Other copy of Windows is a not-so legitimate Windows 7 Ultimate that I've used several times on a variety of computers, which have all worked fine. Basically with both versions they start the install, then stop around 8% during "Getting files ready for installation". "Error 0x80070570" To resolve this I have tried it with 1 stick of RAM in DIMM2, no graphics card and no hdd. Still can't get the bugger to work. ANY help would be very much appreciated!
