Summary YouTube plans to withhold monetization from creators based on moderation bots, and will enforce this by adjusting creator payouts for future months if unable to charge back the amount a specific video that broke TOS made. Quotes My thoughts This allows YouTube to claw money back from creators based on their notoriously bad moderation bots. Compounding the issue is the only way of designated recourse is to appeal the decision, which is also notoriously terrible, as often Twitter has been the immediate Go To after the appeal is denied in less time than watching the entire video would take. Sometimes in less time than 2x speed would make it. Sources I really tried to find the new YPP TOS, but it doesn't appear to be immediately available to the wider internet. You would have to check the terms through your partnered channels. Louis Rossman explains it well enough for me.

Hello fellow users of the wonderful conglomeration of socks, sandals and cats that is the LTT community. I have been having some hard to pin down issues with my drives recently that I feel obligated to ask for help with. I have several. Let's label them accordingly. c: 250gb; my boot drive; a 6 year old ssd d: 3tb; music storage drive; a 3 year old hdd e: 3tb; my anime/show storage drive; a 3 year old hdd f: f*cking evil drive; 3tb; what i was using after filling up the other 2; a 6 year old hdd g: random ancient 1tb drive (mostly pr0n) h: random ancient 500gb drive; So one day, out of the blue, without it acting more slow than the day I bought it, F disappeared and I was confucious. I restarted teh computer and it was back, functioning normally. This series of events happened a few more times. Then F would not reappear, and all of the sudden D and E go under as well. At this point a bit more worried I restart the computer and D comes back with E and F staying gonzo. I turn it off trying to figure out what the fk is going on by swapping around the drives position and using different cords for them. F and E are back with D gone. I restart the computer after realizing that I had been messing only with HDDS that were being connected with cables, and so I put some of the finnicky ones in the hot swap bays on my HAF X. All D is back along with E but F still missing. After doing this a few more times and every drive in my case being in a different position from the previous line, F is still gone with the rest appearing. It gets to the point where I end up having windows prompt for recovery on disk F on startup, but after waiting for ~30 hours the first time it did so to no avail I said fk this shit I'm out and refused to let it go through with that any longer. Tried using recuva to measure that disk's health and it says a bunch of files are unrecoverable. Whenever I plug in F it results in my whole pc going super slow, with one of the other 3 TB drives disappearing from my pc in file explorer for no obvious reason. Sometimes the computer will not even get out of black screen after BIOS. Where to start? Would like to figure out what is causing this strange behavior before I accept and move on and just try to recover the data on it. Should mention in the past the F drive would still show up in file explorer and simply have no size listed or bar or w/e and now that won't even happen so I can't really select it to scan with any program.

Linus Sebastion, Mr. Evil of the internet, or Benevolent Blogger? Part 1: The Nvidia Buyout. Written by: Zodiark1593 12/18/16 Internet Media Mogul, and verified vice president of the Passive Aggressive Society of Canada; Linus Sebastion, has been investigated over (proud) disclosure of questionable business practices, including but not limited to slave abuse, wage violations, and smuggling of illegal alien species on his Wan Show live streams, of which he is the self-proclaimed host. In my multi-part documentary, I will cover all of the controversial, satanic, intriguing, and mildly disturbing happenings within the future mega-corporation that is the Linus Media Group, starting with one incident that threatened to change the face of the world. Among these controversies, it has been publicized on April 1, 2016 that Linus Media Group has been bought out by the empirical GPU vendor, Nvidia. Negotiations for the buyout concluded three days prior. As part of the buy-out contract, the name of the company will be changed to Nvidia Media Group, effective immediately, and Nvidia will provide all clothing, swag and décor to NMG and staff. The spokesperson of rebel GPU vendor, AMD, commented “Why Linus would choose vomit colored décor over laser red is beyond me.” He then later went to cry in a corner, having seemingly lost hope for humanity. An insider within NMG had also stated that the company's Lamborghini will also reflect the change in color theme. Several days later however, Linus privately announced his defection from Nvidia, citing Nvidia’s excessive use of Puke Green ruining his appetite for his wife’s home cooked meals, resulting in randomly sustained injuries and bruises, and lack of meaningful content in posted videos. It cannot be confirmed at this time whether these injuries are caused by a possibly irate wife, or an unfortunate run-in with angry chainsaw wielding squirrels en-route to work. As the editor-in-chief of a non-existent editorial, I am hoping for the latter. The company’s original name, Linus Media Group has been reinstated, and all décor and clothing provided by their former Nvidia overlords have been subsequently burned in their office incinerator. As quoted by an anonymous Nvidia spokesperson, “We are deeply disappointed that LMG does not approve of Puke Green #6 as the empire’s official color and his choice to split from the empire, and further apologize for any domestic violence incidents that have been caused as a result.” Rebel AMD’s spokesperson was unavailable for further comment, as he was allegedly still crying in the very same corner he was left in. LMG and Nvidia quickly reconciled, and business resumed as though the buyout never happened. Some months later, when inquired about the failed buyout, Nvidia spokesperson responded “We’d hoped to expand our empire through LMG, we’re sad to see the deal fall through, but will look to further avenues to expand our power. As of now, we’re in talks with Bitwit CEO, Kyle, with a proposal for acquisition, however, he is demanding that as part of the negotiation, we change our official color to Hot Pink.” The spokesperson will not comment on whether or not they will take Kyle’s proposition. As for LMG, insider information reveals plans to pursue world domination of their own accord, though as of December of 2016, have only succeeded in conquering Canada. I recently bought a prepaid visa card to use on G2A to purchase a csgo skin from bit skins. When I went to purchase the skin (using G2A pay) I waited for verification, then immediately was band. They took my money and there support is very bad. I warn any one who uses this website to buy games software... to PURCHASE WITH CAUTION. I was blaienly scammed by a multi million dollar company and advice all to stay clear of them. If any of you have suggestions of how to get my money back that would be appreciated, but other than that be warned that this is a bad website that will take advantage of you. Please use this website with caution. I would not advice the use of credit or debit card on this site. You have been warned.

Today I stumbled across a video where this guy was talking about how he had his windows 8.1 review taken down by Microsoft. you can watch his video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA4LIRxICPg&list=UUD4EOyXKjfDUhCI6jlOZZYQ Do you think its right for microsoft to do this? Is it fair for Microsoft to pull down legitimate reviews because of supposed pirating? Or is this just a way to get rid of negativity around the product? Please discuss below

Nothing to see here, just your average Xbox 360 controller.........wait a second... It's the Evil D-Pad by Evil Controllers, a D-Pad that makes your Xbox 360 Controller's D-Pad 100% less terrible! Now, before you all freak out, I use this controller on PC. :P Mainly for racing games and others where a keyboard and mouse setup is less effective. Anyway, on to the review. If you buy just the DIY faceplate kit, it comes with the modified faceplate, D-Pad buttons, dome-style analog sticks, and a little tool for removing your controller's screws. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KQINsyIOgc'>I won't go into detail about the installation, but here's a video. It's a quick and easy process that doesn't tear up your controller at all. So in short, this mod is awesome. With the default Xbox 360 controller, I would always struggle with the awful disc-style D-Pad. It's especially terrible in fighting games, where inputting the proper directional combinations for moves is nearly impossible. This fixes all of that. Each direction is an individual button, completely eliminating any ambiguity as to which direction you're pressing. One example is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, where the D-Pad is used to activate your Turbo, EMP, Spike Strip, and Signal Jammer, each assigned to a direction. With the normal D-Pad sometimes I'd try to hit left to fire an EMP, but end up accidentally hitting up, activating Turbo, and careening into the nearest wall. This never happens to me with the Evil D-Pad. When I press left, I know I'm pressing left. It's also wonderful for classic games and side-scrollers. Playing those with an analog stick is terrible, and with the 360 D-Pad it's even worse. The Evil D-Pad makes playing classics much more fun. My one gripe with it is that the buttons are spaced a bit far apart for my liking, so it's not quite as effective as a DualShock for more rapid input sequences. But that's a consequence of where the sensors are on the controller PCB, so I can't really knock Evil Controllers for that. Also, there are the analog sticks. They're dome shaped, much like on the DualShock controllers, rather than indented like the default. They're also slightly taller. I really like them; the edge of the indent on the normal sticks would kind of dig into my thumb during long sessions. These sticks are much more comfortable. And it's a nice rubberized material so your thumbs don't slip off. The additional height is a little weird at first, but when you get used to it, it offers much finer control than the default sticks. So, in summary, the Evil D-Pad takes the Xbox 360 Controller's biggest flaw and fixes it with an elegant, simple solution. One of the most comfy game controllers out there becomes one of the most versatile as well. The kit comes in black, pink, blue, and red, and is available for $24.99 directly from Evil Controllers: http://www.evilcontrollers.com/products/xbox-360-controller-parts/evil-d-pad-face-plates.html You can also order a controller with the mod already applied right from the website.

http://arstechnica.com/business/2014/05/passive-listen-will-soon-be-enabled-for-facebook-app-during-status-updates/ Sure Facebook. Sure. You will send all of this data to your servers and will give it to the NSA. This is violation of our privacy, plain and simple. This spying must come to an end, and we as citizens who have unalienable rights must fight for them no matter where we live. The below pictures are just examples and not explicitly what I'm asking about. Which would you prefer in any particular situation, where you had to have one, or the other directly influencing/affecting you (i.e. video game companies, the government, etc.)? Both or neither is not an option unfortunately. Malevolence (Evil) OR Incompetence (Stupid) Chart for reference: Where "Greed" is "Malevolence (Evil)". I personally would prefer incompetence. I can out-do incompetence. To a degree. Malevolence is harder to deal with since benevolence doesn't have a default (straightforward, understood) advantage. I don't know. What about you?

I used to be satisfied with my High Speed 25 plan from Shaw for my internet. I always got promised speeds until today. Now, I can barely watch YouTube at 144p. Even the LTT forum took forever to load! Now I understand why people are hating on ISPs so much! Shaw speed-test is giving false results. Is this happening to anyone else?

The video features popular celebrities and politicians / valued people in the technology industry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=FC5FbmsH4fw So for the past year Khan Academy many other celebrities and huge public figures have been promoting Code.org as a way for young people to code. Now, is it just me who feels like certain people (the masses who only use their computer for Facebook...shoot me . ) But besides that , I think if this becomes popular the culture of computers and technology will become diluted ! If you agree great , and if not why? Explain/Rant have fun. P.S: I looked at some of their "games" . Some are a complete joke others I can see the use but I would just prefer to take up a book... VIA -http://beta.slashdot.org/story/203157 'As a Houston resident with limited home broadband options, I found the following interesting: Dwight Silverman of the Houston Chronicle reports (warning: paywalled) that Comcast plans to turn 50,000 home routers into public Wi-Fi hotspots without their users providing consent. Comcast plans to eventually convert 150,000 home routers into a city-wide WiFi network. A similar post (with no paywall) by the same author on the SeattlePI Tech Blog explains the change. From the post on SeattlePI: "What's interesting about this move is that, by default, the feature is being turned on without its subscribers' prior consent. It's an opt-out system – you have to take action to not participate. Comcast spokesman Michael Bybee said on Monday that notices about the hotspot feature were mailed to customers a few weeks ago, and email notifications will go out after it's turned on. But it's a good bet that this will take many Comcast customers by surprise."'

Hello Linus people! Ok, so real talk time right here. I went to microcentre because my cousin and I accidentally wrecked our old graphite card (don't ask, it's another long story for another time). Well, when I went there, I asked this young woman who had a ponytail (i think her name was Gloria? she was of an ethnic background so I kept my distance) if I should get the NvIDIA or the AMD, and she happened to be an NVIDIA representative, so OBVIOUSLY she wanted me to buy the NVIDIA card. She kept going on about how AMDs are just really loud and hot all the time, and so I decided maybe I should actually go for NVIDIA. And so I searched for like 2 hours to find the perfect card, and I found the GTX960. As many of you know, I am an anti-bully advocate, and just as I was about to scan the card, Gloria and one of her ethnic friends were insulting and mocking Donald Trump. And that is where I crossed the line. I threw the card at her and threatened to call immigration police if she doesn't stop bullying innocent people who have done nothing but supported her. SHE THEN started YELLING at me and calling me unintelligible mexican slurs but the one thing that I understood was "COCONUT HEAD". All my life I've been called "coconut" because some people apparently think that I look like a coconut, and I used to cry and self-abuse so many times because of that and it still emotionally triggers me. I speaked to the manager and (surprisingly!) he fired her on the spot and gave me a new card for free. if you don't believe me, here is another post from someone else: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/86930-33-nvidia-evil So This is why you shouldn't support a company that MOCKS its customers, they are diabolical. i'm writing this as I'm drinking my coffee so sorry if there are any mistakes, I just really needed to get this off my chest. peace and love guys!!
