Alright, i am a bit pissed at Phanteks right now. So we all know of the beautiful Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX GLASS case, and yes that is a really sexy case. But; The cheaper version of it, Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX GLASS, is just as big and has just as much space inside of it but can only fit a micro-ATX motherboard!? There is just as much space inside of the m-ATX version as in every other ATX case, so why can't they just make it fit with an ATX motherboard!?

Ok, So for my next build, I have purchased My case is the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Glass edition. I will be using a Kraken x62 AIO cooler. My case came with 3x 140mm fans (PH-F140SP). Two are are acting as intakes at the front by default and 1 is set as exhaust at the back. I'm looking to install my radiator at the front, because : If, I install my Kraken x62 at the front, should, I move the two current Phanteks front fans to the top to act as Exhaust, or should I do a Push/Pull configuration? If I go push/pull, which fans should I use for what purpose... The Phanteks for push and the Kraken's for pull? (Or the other way around?) TL;DR I want to install my Kraken x62 at the front of My Enthoo Evolv, which setup would yield better cooling : 1. Kraken fans at the front of the raditor. Move the current 2x stock Phanteks fan at the top. 2. Push/Pull with the Kraken sitting in between the Phantek's fan (push) and the NZXT fans (pull)

So i have spent years building computers, i even make a living doing it. Yet in all that time never built a custom water cooled pc for my self. Well here it is. The waiting is over. I call it Acid Burn, Yeah i know 1995 Hackers... well green rgb everywhere so it fits. Cut out back of case, Designed and 3D printed a bracket to mount the back plate of the GPU. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2434186 Used this mount off Thingiverse Drilled a hole in the case to put a drain port out the back. Tried to make it my own. Under normal use the top stays closed, gaming opens to 60% and video editing or heavy gaming under OC, 100% open. The video is just showing a startup test moving the actuators in a sequence. full, closed, mid, closed, then on to the routine. I use a light sensor to monitor an LED on the motherboard to power on the sensors and servos when the PC is started. A Relay kills the power to all the sensors and servos when the motherboard turns off. A pair of DT11 Sensors monitor the Internal and External Temperature and Humidity. The Temperature readings control the position of the exhaust vents. The humidity readings will eventually kill power to the PC if the values stray too far from one another (WIP: Humidity Readings are an attempt at leak detection will take power button low/high depending on power on or off the pc)

Hey yall. I'm case shopping but want a case with a side panel window on the right panel not the left. If it's on the left I will never be able to see or appreciate it, and I want to. That's non negociable. As far as i can tell the single case on the market right now with an inverted layout - at least the only one worth salt, is the corsair 600c. It's a nice case, I like it. But it's plastic and perspex and I'm a huge sucker for quality material choices. It was glass and aluminium shopping for me, long before they became popular. I know there are a couple cases with reversable motherboard trays such that they're flexible. I can't name them all off the top of my head, but they include the Be Quiet! cases and the origin pc custom tower. I would look into a good case like that. What I want is to take a conventional ATX case, flip it upside down, put the top panel on the bottom and the bottom on the top (either by a perfect fit, adhesives and glue, or by some modification) and for the front panel to look good enough upside down as it is. The way I see it, there are two cases right now that look like they'd be easy to make the same upside down as right way up - Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX, and the Corsair 570x. Could someone with one of those cases take a look at their top and bottom panels and see if they line up at all? I've gone to pc shops but they're not fans of me inverting and deliberately dismantling their display cases. Otherwise, tips on other good invertable cases, either by design or by accident. Many thanks.

Hi i understand that for my chassis fans to work in my case i need to connect my cpu fan into the 4 pin connector but i swapped out my air cooler for a kraken x62 today and the only 4 pin i have to use is from one of the rad fans which isnt working. i tried connecting my cpu fan again just to test if this was the issue and all my chassis fans worked with my old air cooler connected the 4 pin. PLEASE how to do i get my chassis fans working again. i need my intake fans badly

Okay so I am planning out a build in the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv tempered glass edition and I am wondering specifics of airflow and how to balance the airflow. I am currently planning on putting radiator for the liquid cooler( NZXT Krakken x52) in the front mounted position as I do not need massive amounts of HDD drives. The basement slots will more than suffice for my needs and it seems to open up the case quite a bit in this configuration. So I had a couple questions about the case that are more specific than you usually find elsewhere: 1) Can you mount a fan in front of the basement right in front of the HDD slots? I was just wondering what the clearances were from someone who had the case. 2) And just in general what are people's successful configurations using this case and getting that sweet spot of positive pressure. I was personally thinking of 3 high intakes in the front, with two more aesthetically inclined(probable some kind of RGB) above the motherboard and one at the back. Feedback would be appreciated since this is my first build.

My specs are listed, and I will include some pictures - But I'm having issues with a 'hot' M.2 SSD. After a boot into Windows, HWiNFO64 has the drive sitting around 34-40c. But as soon as I launch a game, it will spike up to almost 80c - and it never comes very far back down. I played a couple rounds of World of Tanks almost 48 minutes ago, been sitting in Windows with only two tabs of Chrome open (this tab & a Messenger one) and the drive is still sitting in the upper 60s to low 70s. Last night I removed the drive & it's heatsink. There were a couple bubbles under the thermal pad, which I replaced with a new one I cut from a sheet of Arctic Thermal pads. Previously I was using the stock Wraith Spire cooler & the drive never got above 60c with the bit of airflow that cooler provided. With my current Enermax T50 cooler, I tried seating the fan lower down, closer to the mobo to get airflow under the cooler & to the surrounding hardware but it obviously isn't helping. I'd obviously like to keep the T50 cooler on the CPU, both for looks & performance, but not if my boot drive is over heating. The Spire usually tops out around 65-68c with my workloads, so it's a viable option, but a lot louder than my current config. I have two Corsair ML 140MM fans in the front of the chassis that are running around 1400RPM. There's another two 120MM fans in the roof that I put in last night, running around 1200RPM. The RAM is obviously an airflow obstruction, and there's the USB3 cable that could be moved for a bit more airflow maybe. But aside from swapping back to the Spire, anyone else have any options - aside from just cranking the front fans?

Hi all I'm considering modding the Enthoo Evolv TG (not the X variant) to add USB C. I was considering adding it to the front panel IO by cutting through the plastic and PCB in between the USB A ports. It appears that the PCB on this section is blank, and does not house any circuitry. Has anyone in the forum had a crack at doing this mod on this or a similar case?

Hey, I am building a new PC for productivity and gaming, and I have some worries about thermals. I want to build around the 8700k, and am considering pairing it with a 1070ti. Small form factor is a must for my uses, but it doesn't have to be too tiny; just no monster rigs. I love the aesthetic of the Enthoo Evolv matx tempered glass case, so I was hoping to build in that. In terms of cooling, I wanted to go with either the Noctua NH-D15 or Dark Rock Pro 3 or 4 (which surprisingly, to me, actually fit height-wise). I want to do some overclocking, but nothing too insane; maybe 4.4, 4.5 GHz. I am currently planning on building on the EVGA - Z370 Micro ATX Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, but am open to any suggestions there. I want to stay air cooled if possible, but I guess that's my question: Do you think there will be thermal problems in this case with what I plan? I am unsure about exactly what I want to do in regards to case-fans, but I assume 2 140mm high SP fans in the front, and two 140mm AF fans in the back/top. I'd appreciate any suggestions there as well. My total budget is around 2000 USD, but is somewhat flexible (give or take a few hundred). Here's a link to a PC Part Picker list, I know the RAM will likely have clearance issues, so that's not final as of now; its still a rough sketch. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZjdXyX ; By the way, I have a 4k monitor on the list. For productivity would you recommend that or an ultrawide 1440p? Oh, and I already have a 600 W power supply. Thanks for any input.

I posted a similar post yesterday regarding the Corsair 750D or 450D but after doing further research I've changed my mind for the Fractal Design Define S or the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX. Now obviously the Enthoo Evolv ATX is a lot more expensive due to it being an aluminium construction and including more features and aesthetics as well as better build quality. However for me the important thing is the cooling capability of either case, especially since I'm strictly air cooling. Now on one hand the Define S has room for 3X 140/120mm front intake fans, where as the Enthoo Evolv has room 3X 120mm front intake or 2X 140mm. With this in mind would it be better to have 3X 140mm or 3X 120mm for the front intake. Another thing I'm concerned with is that since both of these cases have a solid front panel meaning that the intake fans may be starved of air? I'm not sure it just appears like that based on the pictures I've seen. Thanks, GR412.

I have some questions about the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case series. Now, with the Micro Tower, the grey variant is matte, but the white variant is glossy, but the black variant looks to be something in between these 2 finishes. But with the ATX Tower, all the finishes look to be matte. Can anyone who owns the black Micro Tower variant please tell me what finish it has? Thanks in advance.

I've been thinking about upgrading from my $30 DIYPC FM18-BK but i don't know which case to chose. I've been stuck between these and some other corsair ones(600c and 750d). Which one should i get? Or is their another case that is in this price range that is worth looking at?

So I'm about to order the components for a new LAN/Folding rig, and I'm just down to deciding on the case. Up until this point I've been planning on using the Prodigy, due to the great reviews and particularly the handles, which is a key feature due to the amount of lugging around I'll have to do with this PC. However, I've stumbled upon the Enthoo Evolv, which gets equally great reviews and is also quite the looker, and just looks easier to build in. However, I'm not so sure how well it would lend itself to the mobile lifestyle. The other key feature is cooling. When I'm not doing LAN, this will sit in my room and be folding almost 24/7, so good ventilation is quite important. This also means I'll probably be SLIing at some point in the future, so expansion is key. Anyone got any opinions on which would be the better overall case, experience using one or the other, or any other suggestions for cases I might have missed? Cheers for the help guys!

First off, I apologise for starting a thread that's so generic. My hope is that someone can clarify whether my system is "normal" in terms of loudness. I have had a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv since it became available in the UK, it was preordered - so it's been a few months. It comes with two of Phanteks' fans - a 140mm PH-F140SP in the back as an exhaust, and a 200mm PH-F200SP in the front. These are the only fans in my case that make any noise at all - if I unplug them the rig is well below ambient levels of noise. The 140mm at the rear makes a constant, loud "white noise"-like sound - probably just air movement, but it's rather loud. The 200mm makes a whirring noise, apparently due to it being completely out of balance (the blades on one side are about 1-2mm in front of the blades on another side, so it wobbles a lot when in motion). Both are clearly audible even if I put my headphones on (with no audio playing), which does tend to make quieter games a lot less immersive. I can't hear it clearly over music but it's still there. My question is: is this level of noise reasonable? Are the noises normal? I've never seen another person's rig IRL so I can't really judge it myself. If it isn't normal, how can I fix it - which fans would be good to replace my stock ones? In case it helps, the available fan mounts in the case are as follows: 1x200mm(installed) / 2x140mm / 2x120mm front, behind dust filter and close-fitting panel with side vents 2x140mm / 3x120mm top, under a cover with a dust filter but with good space between the fans and the cover 1x140mm(installed) / 1x120mm rear, open - no dust filter, just a hexagonal metal mesh. The case is about 30cm from me, on my desk. Putting it on the floor isn't an option I'd like to consider as, while it would be further away, my room has a fairly dusty carpet, which isn't ideal for computers. Thanks for reading this far! I'm a noob when it comes to fans so any help would be appreciated.
