Hi, I currently have 16GB 3600MHz & I am looking at getting more RAM and I'm looking at getting another 2 sticks. I'm looking at getting either 16Gb or 32Gb and I'm wondering whether there will be a problem if I use 2x16Gb 3600MHz CL18 & x2 32Gb 3600MHz CL18. Thanks in advance. -
I'm a big fan of Corsair's Dominator RAM and bought my last set at MicroCenter. MC Doesn't carry 3600 Dominator, so looking at Corsair's site, I can either get 64 GB of CL 18 3600 for $600 or 64 GB of CL 16 3600 for $850. The only reason I'm looking to purchase new is that I use my computer as a workstation as well as for gaming, and the 32GB of CL16 3600 Dominator I'm running now gets up to 90%-95% usage under normal circumstances, so I want to jump to 64GB for headroom. I'm running: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula MoBo, Zen 3 5900X, 32GB CL16 3600 Dominator RAM, ROG Strix 3090, TT 850W Gold+, and an ElGato 4K60 capture card. Is it worth the ridiculous price for the 64GB of CL16 or will the 64 GB of CL 18 do me just fine?

Today, I found these 2 displays of Corsair's DDR3 Dominator Plantinum 3000 MHz (I think 4GB each) memory and I was thinking of selling one but I don't know the value. I looked online but couldn't fine any of these on display. They both have small scratches and text is a little faded.

Hey! i have ordered a 4000D chassi, with a z490 strix gaming mobo, dominator RAM and a h100i white platinum 240mm rad that i will top mount. And i got a bit worried by the ram clearance with that rad, the dominator sticks is 54mm high. is there anyone that have the same chassi with h100i or simillar 240mm aio top mounted that can measure how high the RAM can be? cheers

Hey guys, So I have built a new PC with Intel i5-10600K and Gigabyte Z490 Vision G for my girlfriend and using Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200 MHz single stick at the moment. Basically I am going to upgrade to at least 32GB (2x16GB) 3200 Kit and I need help to choose between HyperX Predator RGB vs CORSAIR Dominator Platinum RGB. Additionally, I am going to upgrade the CPU to 11th Gen when the new Intel processor will be launched in March, 2021. The system is used for professional work purpose, zero gaming. Hey guys, i am planning to buy Dominator RAMs! its either 4x8gb at 3200mhz CL16 or 3600mhz CL18! And i wonder if its more worth to buy the slower cl16 ones or if i could squeeze the timing on the faster cl18, or of its even worth to get the 3600mhz ones. I havent played around very much with RAM overclocking, so before i buy ill turn to you guys :) mobo: Asus z490-f cpu: i9 10900k gpu: asus 3080 tuf oc psu: 1000w gold gaming/enthusiast rig! cheers

Hi guys, I'm having some problems with my new Ryzen system that I put together a few months ago My current specs are: Ryzen 5 1600x corsair dominator platinum 2x8Gb (CMD16GX4M2B3000C15) MSI R9 390 MSI AMD AM4 B350 Gaming Pro Carbon Ryzen Corsair HX750i CPU and GPU are watercooled So my problem is that I can't figure out a way of having a stable system with my memory at more then 2133Mhz when the memory should be able to handle till 3000Mhz. I already tried both XMP profiles with 1.35V on the memory and can't even pass the 1min test on Aida64. i tried several of the different profiles available on the on my MSI board (Memory Try it!) and none gave me a stable machine. Tried also leaving the voltage at 1.35 setting the timings has recommended by corsair (15-17-17-35) but not even 2400Mhz remains stable, aida64 runs for a couple of hours with no problems, but after some heavy loads (like playing a game) I get random crashes, like webpage losing content, blue screens, ... Has anyone had similar issues like this? or does anyone that has an identical set of memory that was able to find the sweet spot for those timings? Thanks -
Hey I did a build last year. I have a Asus Rampage V edition 10 with a 6800k and 32gb (4x8gb) DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200 CL16. I cant get XMP to boot. Would appreciate any help. I am really at the point of selling this ram and getting some Trident RGB CL14 of the same speed as it would also match my build better but trying to not give up at getting this running at 3200. Not looking to OC the CPU just want to get my ram running at its rated speed.

Hey there guys Any idea why four of my eight Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM modules have weaker LED light? They're the same model, same type, use the same RAM upgrade, etc. It's just two 32GB kits, bought some time one from another [a year]. Simple question here, I'm buying the following Ryzen 7 3700x Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Dan cases a4 sfx I was going for the flare x which came out with ryzen 1st gen I believe, trident z neo came out and looked like a priced up flare x and it confused me why there was even talk about the product since the extreme prices of it. Question remains what is the best set of ram for a ryzen 7 cpu, I'm looking for a good 3200 to 3800mhz cl14 kit for under 200 euro, something that will fit the dan case a4 sfx.

I posted here a couple weeks ago regarding my MSI GT70 2PC Dominator shutting down when playing demanding games such as Elite Dangerous and Cities Skylines. I thought the issue lied in the broken CPU heatsink mount that's affixed to the motherboard or faulty sensors, but after buying a new motherboard, the problem persists. My only guesses are the problem is either with the CPU or the GPU. Is there any way I can narrow down the problem to one of these two components? Or do you folks have any suggestions as to where else the issue could be appearing from? I've ran diagnostic tests on the RAM, and all is well on that front. Thank you for your time. -
Hello fellow techies, I'm interested in buying a quad memory module set of Corsair Dominator 2666MHz (CMD64GX4M4A2666C15) which is a 4 * 16GB set. I was wondering if anybody knows, or where else I can look to check if this memory kit is compatible with my mother board and CPU (Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5 rev 1.0 and an Intel i7 5930K Haswell-E). Any thoughts ?

Long story short my brother bought this laptop few years ago. Not a long time ago charger started doing weird things, sometimes it was working fine and sometimes it wasn't working at all, but after a while it starts working again. Just today charger stopped working completely. We thought it might be a power jack problem so we turned everything off, took it apart, checked everything and it was looking all good, so we reassembled everything back into places and tried turning laptop back on. And surprise surprise now it doesn't even turn back on. I'm 99% sure we reassembled it correctly but the question is could we have shorted something while doing it? The battery itself is integrated and it plugs straight into motherboard. The battery was fully charged. Is there a way to check if the battery is dead? We have tried the battery reset button and also plugging the battery off and holding power button for 30+seconds.P.S. There is no visual evidence of short (burn marks, burned chips ect.)

I have built a PC with a Threadripper 1950X and 128GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000MHz DDR4 However, when installing all 8 sticks, the system will not post. Installing 4-6 Sticks of DDR4 will work, but will sometimes cause issues Is there potentially a compatibility issue with the RAM and CPU? TIA -
Hello guys, It's been a while since I started my fight with OC of RAM and it's a tricky one, this time. Ok, here's the situation: System: Ryzen 3800X MSI X570 MPG Gaming Plus RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000 CL15 4x8GB GTX 1080Ti Recently I updated my system to Ryzen CPU, I instantly noticed some strange behaviour, little stutters in games or some heavy SolidWorks modelling. I checked it out and it turns out it was XMP profile not turned on. So I turned it on and no POST for me! And that's where my journey with RAM OC starts. After many hours of fighting, trying to use Ryzen RAM Calculator, I managed to turn it on and stabilize on 3000MHz and 15-16-16-35, with DRAM Voltage = 1.38V, SOC V = 1.15V, which is clearly not satisfactory. So I have couple of questions: 1. What to do to make it more stable? There's no way I can put it in higher frequency, even if I change the latencies to 16 and higher. 2. What are your experiences in overclocking 4x8GB on E-die? I noticed strange behaviour, when OC goes wrong, sometimes the system doesn't want to boot at all, not even to the BIOS, I need to take out 2 sticks of RAM, turn it on, change settings, and finally then it boots. 3. Are these RAMs ok for this CPU, or should I consider changing it?

I've been using 32 GB (8GBx4 Dual Channel) of Corsair Dominator DDR4-3600 C16-18-18-36 (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/DOMINATOR-PLATINUM-RGB/p/CMT32GX4M4K3600C16#tab-tech-specs) that I purchased directly from Corsair, however I had to file for an RMA due to a faulty DIMM. These things happen, so I'm not going to knock them for the one bad DIMM. The cost for this was $470. In its place, I purchased G.Skill Trident. Microcenter near me only had a 16GBx4 of DDR4-3600 C16-19-19-39 according to the box (https://www.gskill.com/specification/165/326/1562839473/F4-3600C16D-32GTZN-Specification according to the site) for a total of 64GB costing only $360. Personally, I think 64GB is waaay overkill, however CL16 is worth the extra money - at least until DDR5 comes out. I do get subjectively fine performance from Dominator and G.Skill, they both benchmark around the same, I like both aesthetics (but having most of my hardware connected via iCue is very convenient) and 32GB is more than enough. However, I'm getting double the capacity for over $100 less. My questions is: Do I stick with the Devil I know for the extra $100 and half the capacity; or just keep the 64GB of G.Skill, save the money, and work with something I'm not as familiar with and benchmarks around the same as 32GB of Dominator? For reference: I'm running an Asus X570 Crosshair 8, Ryzen 3900x, and an Aorus 2080 Super OC in a Dynamic O11 with 10 fans total and a 34" ultrawide.

I really like white build because my casing and some my hardware are white and black. First of all i read most forum say cl16 is the sweetspot for 3200mhz and but some of my friend say just buy 3600mhz for futureproof. It's true? im rarely upgrade my pc because if upgrade it take 1-2 years for next upgrade for me. Then i really awesome on dominator because it so gorgeous for me but some of my friend say this ram are expensive and they tell me it not worth because of just looking nice. But really want to know it really worth or nahh 2nd choice some community always fight each other about vengeance and tridentz neo. Mostly on youtube people can get high benchmark on tridentz but i dont really like that pattern rgb, but will it worth ? tridentz price abit high than vengeance on my country that 2 ram stick are affordable for me because it 110-130$ which is better for me? some of my gskill is best value in the market and better for overclocking the ram!! i get into it to overclock the ram and all of this ram are samsung b-die right? -
