This thing has given me nothing but issues, and I've already been through like 4-5 techs including a manager and none of them have been able to help me get things sorted out. Maybe you guys can? They've swapped out the GPU and ram sticks for me and the computer still continues to shut off randomly. I googled it and it says that this could be because my cpu is over heating but my cpu is water cooled and i've checked the temperatures and they seem to be doing just fine.. The techs had me take the back panel off and take out their "exotic cabling" thing and now it seems like my computer is turning its self off even more frequently. Another thing, when it does turn off the mother board lights continue to flash forever and ever, and the computer will not let me turn it back on (by pressing the power button) until I unplug the machine and wait 5-6 seconds before plugging it back in. Nothing I can find on the internet has helped me figure out what the issue is. I could just be dumb though... I bought this computer back in sept of last year... waited a whole month before it finally got to me in October, and I've had nothing but issues with this computer. It could just be a heating issue but i have both the side panel and the back panel off, with my AC on and the damn thing is still turning its self off. This is so frustrating, throughout this time I've d/ced during numerous ranked games on league, smite etc or dungeons on WoW and elder scrolls, hell, this even cost me and hour of CLASS TIME as one instance, during a zoom call the computer just completely spazzed out and would not let me turn it back on. I've spent 3 grand on this computer and have done nothing but comply with the techs and be patient and here I am with a dysfunctional mess. Sorry if this comes off ranty I just really don't know what else to do..

So, I don't know what to do with my ~$4500 very large paper weight. I've never posted here before so sorry if I'm in the wrong place entirely but reddit and Digital Storm themselves are not helping me very much. I purchased a Digital Storm PC around October, and I knew the wait time would be even longer with the current pandemic, so I wasn't upset it took so long to arrive. What I was upset by was the fact that although the machine appeared to be in near mint condition upon arrival, I have had problems with stability since day one. The PC randomly reboots even while on idle, it seems to "ghost boot" whenever I turn on just the power supply, and I can't get through a single game of Modern Warzone, although I primarily just use the PC for my 3d art and it cannot handle simple geometry sometimes. My machine has an RTX 3090, an AMD 3900XT w/ AIO cooler, 64gb ram and a 1000W Silverstone gold rated PSU (Digital Storm Branded apparently?). Since I use the machine for work and needed to render some shots, I attempted to take the panels off myself to investigate and to my horror I found cables bent, pinched, and twisted to the point that if I straightened them out my machine sometimes wouldn't power on, the cables are definitely causing some of my issues. I contacted them about 2 weeks ago (after already speaking to them about this issue about a month before another issue started) but guess they lost my phone number. Then, because I'm so damn lucky, the next day the AIO began making a horrible crunching, grinding noise and I called all day long, only to be put on hold and never got to speak to anyone before they closed. The next day, after dealing with low end customer service telling me they can't do anything (ALSO telling me they tried to call 4 times, repeated my phone number to me correctly, but I confirmed none of the numbers that called me that day where them) and that I should expect a callback any day now. So another few days pass and with no technical support attempting to reach me, I got a direct number to a tech named Caleb from a previous ticket he had helped me out with(same issue, but we thought it had been resolved), who was extremely professional even when I was lacking. So, Caleb was great but now I'm dealing with someone else named Ken, and he is also extremely professional, but I feel like I'm being tossed around to cover themselves because my machine is so horribly thrown together. I expect cables to be scuffed and even possibly folded over, but some of my cables appeared to be sanded down, right where they would push on the side panel. It almost looks as if they sanded just enough of the wires down to get my machine to close properly, even though I had noticed the side metal panel was slightly bulged upon arrival. Also, EVERY SINGLE person I spoke too tried to heavily suggest something happened in shipping, which could happen, but this doesn't excuse the fact that I HAVE NOT been able to contact them for 2 weeks, plus the box it came in wasn't really banged up at all. In my opinion the builder didn't care about who opened this machine up next, or whether or not the machine would stand the test of time. I do have the RMA pictures that my techs have requested, but my machine is currently in a box awaiting to get approval for RMA (They told me to pack it up BEFORE I'm even approved for an RMA? does this sound right?) so I can post them if you like, but I don't necessarily feel like unpacking my whole machine again. I thought it was odd my tech told me NOT to take the side metal panel off even though that is where the sanded cables can be seen. I get the feeling they are going to try and pin it on me for the poor wiring even though my tech instructed me to do some rewiring to troubleshoot. I just feel like I'm not getting what I paid for, and I feel very taken advantage of, not only by being tossed around and not getting any straight answers, but this seems incredibly shady to me. I've heard a lot of good and bad about them and at this point I just want a machine that runs so please no "I told you so", I've heard it enough. All I can ask from this community is what that hell I should do, I considered a partial refund (15% taken out for restocking) but that is still almost $600 I lose from their incompetence. They offered to pay shipping for RMA, so thats good but I've been waiting all day for a response and I need to get back to work asap, plus I expected a machine that was tested thoroughly. What should I do? Call more tomorrow? Try to directly contact a manager? I'm at a loss that this company, filled with "tried and true" PC builders who test every machine, let this ~$4500 brick slip through the cracks. I'm not an incredible tech wizard, but I had built a PC in highschool and I expected a machine from Digital Storm that was put together better than a 15 year old with limited funds. well, that's my rant/inquiry. What the hell should I do? Link to pictures and video requested by digital storm: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1X7UZDe8dVDV7U8zEhXH7sSkbsfbatzFW Thanks in advance. PS - I don't really want to go the refund route as I don't think the availability of an RTX 3090 founder edition is good enough to risk loosing the one I currently own. Any thought would be appreciated, and if I don't get approved for RMA tomorrow I'll post pictures of the sanded cables (unless someone thinks I shouldn't for some reason? Just want the build quality I expected for the price and I don't know the best way to prove I received the machine in this condition). EDIT: I also forgot to mention the psu 12V line swings between 11.6V and 12.1V on idle, which they have said is normal, but as the gpu intense load is completed (like a render), the line fluctuates a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit more. i put this in a reply below also, sorry im new here.

I've noticed boutique builders like Origin PC, Digital Storm, and even Sager (are they technically considered a boutique builder?) offer optional premium thermal compound on their laptops for the CPU and/or GPU for about $35 each. Is this a gimmick? It feels like a gimmick. (Keep in mind I'm also a video editor, so my CPU temps go bonkersville on a regular basis.)

Hello, I'm HC and American and I was looking to buy myself a new gaming laptop. I was looking online for reviews and Origin EON17-X kept popping up as one of the most powerful gaming laptops you can get. With that being said those are just straight forward reviews and I'm having trouble finding reviews from people who have owned an Origin EON17-X for 6 months or more. I want to know that this laptop isn't going to break down on me in a couple of months and I would also like to know what kind of material the chassis is made out of. What I did find though when I started digging was a few reviews on Origin's customer service department which were not that great. If I'm going to spend several grand on a laptop I want to know that the customer service isn't going to be a nightmare to deal with. I don't mind delays but I don't like being ignored or not told what is going on. I heard that Digital Storm had much better customer service but was also much more expensive so that's what I figured I would ask what the smartest computer community on the web thought. Has anyone here dealt with Origin or Digital Storm before and if so how was the experience and the overall quality of the product?

After one week, my build is in Stage 4 of 7 (basically being assembled). So, I'll have it in about a week. My expectations: Game at high fps on 144Hz 1080p monitor Handle two monitors multitasking seamlessly Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. while multitasking (even simultaneously gaming) Quick load times System able to handle upgrades Never fully loading the system Plenty of storage space Reliable BEFORE YOU INSTANTLY GRILL ME FOR NOT BUILDING IT MYSELF, I have no experience building computers, or even knowing what parts make a computer "good", let alone "AWESOME!". I play games for fun and graphic design for dispensable income. I am a recent graduate from an engineering school, starting a new job with a large aerospace company - so money is still tight. I wanted a computer that could hold up with my needs for a few years, and be easy to upgrade in the future. The Vanquish 5, level 3 (click here) would have cost me ~$1,367 to build myself with the same parts. For only ~$54 more, I get the confidence of (reportedly) great build quality and compatibility, a warranty, customer service, their community, and the closure that DS will choose premium, stress-tested parts (they really do). Here's the build: Chassis Model: Corsair 230 Mid Tower CaseProcessor: Intel Core i7 6700 3.4GHz (Codename Skylake) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS Z170-KSystem Memory: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz (Corsair)Power Supply: 750W EVGA (Most likely 80+ Bronze)Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (240GB Digital Storm Certified Performance Series) - not sure what brand yetStorage Set 2: 1x Storage (1TB Seagate / Western Digital / Toshiba) Internet Access: Wireless PCI-E ASUS PCE-N53 (Dual Band Performance) (Supports 802.11n/g/b) Graphics Card: 1x GeForce GTX 970 4GBSound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Cooling: Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler)Cable Management: Premium Cable Management - Didn't pay extra for thisChassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans (Two in front)Internal Lighting: Remote Controlled LED Lighting System CPU Boost: Standard Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Automatic Overclocking Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows CD) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (on a disk, not preinstalled)Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) So, give it to me straight.

-- http://www.geek.com/chips/digital-storm-mounts-a-geforce-gtx-1080-on-the-back-of-a-34-inch-curved-display-1656686/ It is nice that Digital Storm is making a revolution in making custom built PCs. No cabinet seems like the way to go! There is also a camera that can be hidden easily very well. Overall I like the fact the number of cables is slashed a lot! The way internal cable management is managed in the new Aventum looks really great, I must say. An internal backplane handles the modular cables so they don't have to be routed up from the PSU, resulting in cleaner runs and more versatile system configurations. The "liquid distribution block" is a really nice visual add as well, and it's manufactured by EK so you know it's a quality part. The window on the other side of the PC is really interesting as well, and it's something that I haven't really seen on any consumer cases other than Lian Li and In Win's glass cases. The case itself is absolutely gorgeous. It has this sort of CaseLabs meets 900D vibe that I can dig with custom paint jobs to top it all off. And it's made in the USA, creating business for domestic machine shops instead of outsourcing. The price starts at $4930, and for that you get a 6700K with 16GB 2666MHz RAM, a GTX 980 Ti, the custom liquid cooling loop for the CPU only, a 1TB Samsung 850 Pro, 2TB HDD, ASUS Z170-A, EVGA 850W G2 and Windows 10. The price on the surface seems high, but the custom fabrication and customer support/warranty make it a bit more worth it. So what do you guys think of the new Aventum III? I personally think it's fantastic. It seems to have amazing specs with great fit and finish. Last week at GDC, NVIDIA teased the GTX TITAN X. Not too much is known now, most of it is speculation, but at the least we have some beauty shots courtesy of system builder Digital Storm. There isn't much more to say though, so I will leave you with the video. Well then, what do you guys and girls think? I think it looks absolutely fantastic personally.

So my PC from Digital Storm came with a CPU OC on it. Anytime I enable the OC profile they created in the bois, when I launch a game my PC will crash. The error I get is: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. My CPU. My CPU was overclocked from 3.5 to 4.2ghz. My guess is that I am pushing the CPU to hard. Any help would be great. My PC: CPU: i5 4670k GPU: GTX 770 Motherboard: ASUS Z87c HDD: 1TB WD BLACK SSD: Kingston 128GB RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance COOLER: Corsair H60 PSU: Corsair 600w

NOTE:- I'M FROM INDIA AND PC PARTS ARE VERY COSTLY HERE SO I BUY FROM NEWEGG OR FROM DIGITAL STORM PAYING HEFTY SHIPPING BUT STILL IT'S CHEAPER. I have money ready to build a PC or buy it from a computer boutique such as DIGITAL STORM AVENTUM 3. I have an idea of long term use to the PC and money is not a limiting factor. I want to game in 4k or in 3440x1440 resolution and I generally do some CPU intensive task like using Handbrake and store a lot of data. I currently use a medium specs hp phoenix and want to build a PC with these Specs:- I9-7900x Single Titan Xp or GTX 1080 Ti (Not SLI as I'm not satisfied with it's scaling) 1tb Samsung 960 pro 4 * 4tb western digital black edition hdd Corsair AX1500i PSU Corsair Dominator 16gb*8 3200mhz Ram Sticks Asus Prime X299 Deluxe An AIO (H115i or similar) or a custom liquid for CPU and if using Titan Xp founders edition graphics card it would be liquid cooled) Any Large Case (anything recommended) with few RGB strips Any good case fans Asus ROG PG348Q Ultrawide or Acer Predator XB321HK 32" 4K monitor Any RECOMMENDED gaming mouse and keyboard Have a Bose Speakers (unused) already at home. So mostly these are my specs and I may change with release of AMD Threadripper or other better components. So is the PC specs a good way to spend that whole $12000 or are some changes to be made. Please help me out in this because I have only done some minor tweaks to my computer and builds less than $1000 and most are not for myself. As I have minimal experience I also have a plan to buy from Digital Storm with their own Hydrolux cooling. SO PLEASE REPLY WHETHER DIGITAL STORM IS GOOD OR OVERPRICED (However it's cheaper than components and PC in INDIA) Current Specs:- I5-4570 32 gigs ddr3 ram GTX 980 ti
