Hi everyone During the covid lockdown i've decided to finish an old project of mine i started during my education, but never finished due it is so large and abstract, that even the teachers said 'That will never work'. Now that it soon has all the basic features it's current state, i was then wondering if it's actually relevant or not these days due technology moves so quickly. Eitherway, it was really fun to create and a pain in a..., and would sit nice on my portfolio. What i'm seeking now, is to to hear some oppinons on the solution / idea, and what also could be nice to have in such application or general workflows people seek to shorten in daily day that people miss or wished existed. Disclaimer I'm not a pro, or trying to make advertisement for the product, but general interested in the software solution, potential and ideas for improvements if any. Why did i make this software? A friend of mine had an issue at work, where he had to involve many steps and different tools, solutions, and data sources. The process was long from exporting data from different databases based on request, having different applications, filter the data recieved, combine it with some files from a client and filter it again with a script which he had to write himself, before the result came to live. I've managed to shorten this process to few minutes and saved him some work for repeatable tasks as this.. Intro video website What is this software? The software is a datamanagement tool, to merge data from different data sources together. It allows you to connect all your favorit databases in one single application and fetch data from them and combine them if not converting it inbetween the different databases. The application also support's the typical REST, SOAP (ASMX, SVC) and OData API's and soon WZDL files import. The API's has the same use-case as the database connections with few options also known from the POSTMAN if an database connection is not exposed or you simply don't want to work with an databases in general. When having all the data from either API's, and databases, files can be involved in the progress and merged with different connections to an unique export. If in doubt of files, content or verse versa, a simple comparing tool inbetween files vs files, files vs tables etc can be used. Hi, I've taken the 'poor guy" approach and I've made a docker image to backup a remote MySQL/MariaDB server into a remote git repository (ie. GitLab, GitHub, etc). I'd like to listen to your opinion on this form of backup, potential security threats, optimization tips, etc And, its free and open source. Hi. I am building a web site with NodeJS and as my database I am going to use MySQL and configure it to use nfs server for storing data. Let say I have 2tb of storage in my nfs server. Now 2tb isn't ok for me. I had to add another nfs server with 5tb storage. What my problem is How do I add another server with 5tb of storage to existing server that is with 2tb of storage without stopping the server that is with 2tb storage. And I am not using any cloud provider I am just using servers that are running on my local network. if there is any misunderstanding please correct me because I am new to this. I now to how to scale NodeJS with kubernaties and add more servers to the same cluster as my app growers. But I am confused with adding more storage to a server without stopping my application. "" what I am saying not putting hardrives to the same server but make another server with more storage and connecting it to the server that is running without stopping the application so that the running server can use the other servers storage "".

So i want to display some data from a column of a table from the database in a label. i have found a way to display the text in the label from the DB but if the text is too long, only some part of it is displayed.is there a specific number of characters that a label can display?is there a way for me to display all my text from the column of my DB?

i want to display some images in a datagrid view in my client application. the images are located in another computer which acts as the server. the server has the MS SQL server database which stores the image paths that are located in a folder of the server. i want to know if its possible to view these images the way i want but without sending the image file to the client computer. thanks Edit: i want to do this in a C# winforms application

so i have a table in my sql server that holds the directory path, the image name and another row called name which stores a user input. im able to manually enter a row ID and get the directory path and file name combine them together and assign to another string. without entering manually, i want to get all images from the table and display it i the datagrid one after the other. is there a way to get this done?

so i have a datagridview that takes data from database and displays it.i have only two columns but for some reason the datagridview is generating extra columns.i have attached a image which shows it. i want to stop it from making those extra columns and display only the two which has data. how can i dot this?

i have a column called ID in my table and i have set it to increase by 1 when new data is inserted. when i inserted data like 3 times the ID was 3 but when i added another record instead of showing the ID as 4 it showed 6. i checked my auto increment settings and it was set to increase by 1. i didnt understand what was happening so i dropped the table, made a new one and started entering data. the first time i entered the ID was one but the second time i inserted it showed 4 as ID and the third time in inserted a record ID was 6. what is actually going on? im inserting data using the edit table data mode in sql server however the first time i tried it was using C# and i got the same issue. is this some error in sql server 2014 or am i doing something wrong?

so idk how it happened but i think i have installed sql server 2014 twice in my system and i have 2 instances. so i uninstalled the instance that i created and it was the only instance which showed up in the wizard to uninstall it. however after uninstalling that i searched for sql server in my pc and it wasnt there.since there were 2 instances i should still be able to access sql server even after uninstalling one instance right? because i was unable to find it i thought everything got uninstalled so i installed sql server again and when i open it up i still have 2 instances in it! and this time when i try to login to one instance it gave me this Named Pipes Provider, error 40 - Could not open a connection to' SQL Server' error. i found the solution for this online and it was to activate the sql server service which was stopped from services.msc or sql server 2014 configuration manager but it gave me a error saying "the request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion". so i have decided to uninstall sql server once again and when i tried to uninstall sql server 2014 64bit from add or remove programs it asked me to uninstall some other sevices first so i uninstalled all sql server 2014 services that showed up in add or remove programs and when i try to uninstall sql server 2014 64 bit it gave me this error shown in the screenshot. what is going on? How do i fully uninstall sql server 2014 from my PC and so that i can start off with a fresh install? Any help would be greatly appreciated as i have wasted 2 days trying to get this thing running. Hey so I've learning to program and have got up to a part where you start messing around with databases. I'm using a local Microsoft Access Database file but keep pulling up an error. Anyone know why?

im facing this weird situation where my ID columns which has been set to auto increment skips numbers, jumps numbers by 2 or 3 and sometimes it jumps a number then later goes back to the number which was missed and continues from there. once my ID even jumped by 1000. i googled this problem and i found this solution where i have to go to SQL server service, go to start up parameters and insert -t272. i have also posted a screenshot on this. i hope i did that right. after that it didnt jump a 1000 but it still keeps doing this jumping by 2 and 3 and sometimes going back. i have posted a screenshot on this as well. it happen in random tables and at random times so i have not find it possible to detect a pattern and tell when it will happen again

FYI: head to the second paragraph for a visual aid Hey guys! I've finally found some answers to my previous questions and have finally bin able to start the project I needed to get too work! I've gotten about 25% of the way to a proper working version but some of the things I am running into includes, creating and writing to a .csv file as well as everytime new information is entered in, it will add it automatically to said .csv file, a way to parse through the .csv file as kind of as a data look up but also is it possible to write to a different .csv file if I wanted to seperate the information from one database to another, I have included a image down below. Just a heads up everything is working at this time except for this .csv database. I'm not askign for an exact line of code on how all this will work but I am asking for a kick in the write direction where I should be looking for in documentation and all that sorts of fancy stuff. For all those who cannot make sense of what I am asking about in the above section this is a visual aid with some information on what the hell I am talking about. Green Box - So for this box I want this information to be sent to a different database that I can look through afterwards that it will always save to assuming no other similiar information is present ie.) Information is entered --> Checks to see if there is any other similiar information, like the name and the number --> Saves new information to the file or if it is already present it ignores saving information to the file. Red Box - For this box we can just ignore it as I already have this part saving into the Blue Box with no current issues, but I did draw it in to show you where the information was coming from for Blue Box. Blue Box - Now this information I want too be able to save this into a different .csv file from what Green Box is saving its information too. It would be nice is for every time the program is loaded you have an option to load a .CSV file or create a new one. Although I do understand this might not be the best and fastest solution it may be just one file that is the best and the fastest. I thank you all for any help you can provide and insight on what should be optimized and maybe even suggest a new way to go about tackling my database issue.

I've designed a database schema for an inventory management system. Some tables are missing but this is the most important one.For the same product, product type, manufacturer and supplier are repeated so there is redundancy (there are also products with the same name from different manufacturers like bread, fruit etc...)which is why I designed this Which one is better and how should I improve them?

I'm working on a software on my own and I need to talk to someone that has experience in c#, servers and database's. I am working on the software alone and don't have experience with servers and databases and I need to talk to someone about it. I will explain to you personally what I'm trying to do with servers and databases and hopefully you can point me in the right direction. Info: I'm looking to add a login system to my software and possibly a product key system also. I need to know how I can go about saving the login data and how it all works because I've never done SQL or anything to do with servers. For my final project (as part of graduation exams) i have to create a website of my own liking. I chose a football league site, that will display scores, teams, referees, stadium etc. My professor asked me how am i going to do it, using php or databases. I don't know which to choose as i didn't do anything like this ever. Q:What do you think how should i do it and do you have any sites or forums that will be able to help me? im making a website using java jsp and the users accessing the website should be able to upload images to it.i want to know what data type i should be using to store images. im familiar with sql server and it has a data type called image but mysql doesnt. so any help would be great. Thanks

if i want to display a image from database in a form, and if database is located in one PC and if the forms are located on another PC, is it possible for me to have class files in the same computer where database is in and call these class files in the forms through a network and use to display things like images and text in the forms?
