So I have been seeing some of the recent posts on Facebook by @LinusTech and it seems that every single time there is so much hate saying Linus is just being a show off and all of that nonsense. What are your guys thoughts on this? My personal thoughts are, that Linus has worked hard to be where he is at today, and If he wants to show off a bunch of GPU's or a 34in Ultrawide with a bunch of dust on it then that is his right. To me its no different then someone here on the forums showing off their impressive builds that they have done.

So, I am moving into a larger apartment soon have finally have the space for a larger desk to accommodate my 2-3 large monitors. I was looking around and most people go with IKEA, which I just found and I am in love with the customizing capabilities. I really like the Karlby tabletop with either basic Adils legs underneath, or Alex drawers under each side. - both are pretty cheap, too. I read that their shipping starts at $9 for small items and $59 for larger ones, which sounded amazing. Upon reaching checkout, and entering my City/State/Zip, it said that my delivery fee would be $199.99...thats insane. My nearest store is a 3-hour drive one way. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for desks anywhere else, or any way to get that shipping cost down? Thanks.

It is late and ive been slammed with work but im desperate for answers and figured id post this before I went to bed and troubleshoot more later. On the 11th i started noticing an issue where as i move my cursor around, play games, drag windows, or really do anything there will be a short stutter at a consistent 1 or 2 second interval. Ive changed nvidia control panel settings to be less performance based and it seemed fixed. Then it came back, so i uninstalled programs and it was gone so i thought that had done it considering razer software has done me wrong before. Then it came back. Ive clocked the cpu down, messed with power and everything makes me think its done something but it just comes and goes as it pleases. Im hopeful its not the card and a background process or something, tomorrow i will try to re-seat the gpu and fully wipe my drivers to see if that yields anything. I have to make dunamic TicTacToe/five in a row for java introduction class last work. I have problem where my gameBoard(X * X array) one side is shorter and thus i can't place everywhere. Not sure where the problem comes from. So, Looking to try out some new server OSes as everyone knows while Ubuntu server is very good at being free and user friendly (HA LOL) I thought I'd try SUSE or Red Hat....... And then it was I realised Windows Server looks like a great deal after all, and that Ubuntu is probably the best for my needs as it's stands. So unless this evaluation copy gives out cream pudding and issues gentle reassuring coos to my wallet, I don't think I'll use it beyond the few hours I will play around with the evaluation copy. Can you guys think of any other OSs for servers that are good, or at least on par with Ubuntu.

So you may have seen the other day I was wondering about this non-working cable. It is simply a braided pcie ext cable to make things look purrty. However whenever I use anything GPU intensive it causes my 970 to crash, or the driver or something graphic related. Without the extension things are absolutely fine. So Overclockers kindly sent me a new cable and still... same issue. Here is the Afterburner log: And as you can see it barely gets in to Unigine (or any game) when there is a power spike (see top graph), GPU Usage spike (middle) and a memory spike (see bottom graph) and everything dies. Temps never go much above 60. So is it just bad luck that both cables have caused this? Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've check all the obvious - connectors etc but it just seems something about these cables is...shit. Any ideas?

The fan does not light up nor run when the PC is turned on. The USB 3.0 does not work either when I plug a device such as a pen-drive or iPhone into it. In addition to this I need advice. I think my motherboard is too limited to have more than one fan. I wish to install two more fans to have a total of 5 fans. One fan will go next to my main fan and push air into the computer. The other fan will go perpendicular to the two main fans to push air outside of the PC case. How can I achieve this with my current motherboard? If I need to get a new motherboard what should I look for so that I can achieve this? I have provided pictures below of my computers intestines so you can tell me what I haven't plugged in, or what I've plugged in incorrectly. I hope these photos are clear enough. If you need further photos of my PC I am willing to provide extras as best as I can. When i go to enable sli through the nvidia control panel i only get the option to enable it by spanning my displays using nvidia surround. And if i try to do that it just flashes the screens and they go black and i have to reboot to be able to see anything on my screens, do anyone know how to fix this? pls`....

I have a major issue, i recently brought the poseidon 780 graphics card from eBay from a guy that seemed legit and gave me a very decent price for it (£230), he said that it was used and untested as he didn't have the equipment to do so i thought i would take the chance because i have had many good experiences with pc part sellers especially at this sorta price range with honesty and transparency. so my new computer that I'm building: i5 3570k gigabyte z77x ud5h 8GB crucial ram this works perfectly and posts when i turn it on however when i plug in the 780 with the power it doesnt even turn on, as soon as i touch the power button the fans start but cut out straight away asus wouldn't do anything as i didn't buy it from a register seller which is fair enough and the guy i brought it from is stating he listed it as untested which i don't believe for a second and doesnt want to refund me you guys are my last hope before i get eBay involved which is something i really don't wanna deal with "your my only hope"
