I recently got a Asus Prime X570-pro and a Ryzen 5800X for my PC. However every time I try to use my PC it shuts off in less than 3 minutes because of overheating. I have a Corsair H100iV2 cooling the processor but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I lost my cable that came with my corsair H100i V2. It connects radiator pump to motherboard through mini usb interface on motherboard, and 9-pin usb2.0 motherboard header on other end. I can't find it anywhere in Canada with short time delivery. Kindly tell me if I can use standard 4-pin usb type-A to mini-usb cable?? My radiator's image is given in gallery. As well as the cable that I lost and the standard cable I was thinking of buying. Kindly help me out. I will be grateful. Thank You!

Hello, I just started my overall first build. Since most of the parts still haven't been delivered as of now, I started out with installing the CPU liquid cooler first, which is the Corsair H100i v2. While installing it I noticed that the screws that hold the fans in place on the radiator, give them quite a bit of place to move around. They sit fairly loose overall. Is that intended? On the pictures you can see that there is a gap of about 1-2 mm. I screwed the screws in as far as possible and did it just the way the manual says. I then went to install the cooler on the case. And noticed again that the screws weren't completely securing the radiator. I am still able to move it up and down without much force. This may be not that much of a problem since it's installed on the top of the case. Once I actually secure the cooler on the motherboard it might sit way tighter I guess, but that still won't change anything about the gap between the fans and the rest of the radiator. The case I'm using is the Be Quiet! Silent base 600. Am I doing something horribly wrong? As I said, this is my very first build so I am very greatful for any advice I can get. I made a video of me moving the radiator up and down for better understanding of what I mean. Thank you!

I'm planning on building a PC, and i was curious about a few things that might affect my AIO choice. I want to use the corsair H100i v2 because of the benefit of the Corsair Link, however the corsair link uses a usb 2.0 port on the motherboard. The motherboard i want to use is the ASUS STRIX Z270E. The Corsair 780T has two usb 2.0 and two usb 3.0 on the front to be plugged into the motherboard. I couldnt find a clear answer anywhere about how many USB 2.0 connectors the motherboard has, as well as how many usb 3.0 connectors on the motherboard. I dont want one of the USB 2.0 ports not working, so i was hoping someone could help me decide.

Hello. Last week i issued an RMA because the pump on my H100i V2 stopped working. I got the package today and i installed it as usual. The thing is that, i started the pc and the temps seemed normal until i tried stressing the cpu to see how much it would cool. I tried with prime95 and the temperatures went to 95°C then i stopped but it could go higher i thik. 95°C seems too high even for an AIO. My specs are: Intel I7 6700k EVGA 1070 SC EVGA Supernova 750G2 16GB of GSkill RAM I really don't know what is causing the high temps, last time i tried prime95 the temps wouldn't get higher than 75 °C Today i am going to try and buy some thermal paste and see if that may fix the problem. Also when i started the pc just after changing the AIO, the temps went to 60°C with just corsair link open. What do you guys think?? Have you had any similar problem??

Hello. Hope you guys can help me. I started building my pc and still waiting for other parts to arrive. Case: Deep Cool Kendomen - 2 x 120mm front fan, 2 x 120mm top fan, 1 x 120mm rear fan CPU: Core i5 6600k Cooling: Corsair H100i v2 240mm radiator ok so all fans are stock that came with case and water cooling. I am using the 2 front fans as intake (front has dust filter that came with the case) i mounted my radiator on top and the 2 fans in the bottom pulling air from outside through the radiator fins past the fan and into the case (top has dust filters as well that came with the case). And the 1 fan on the rear as exhaust. do you think this is good enough air pressure or should i add another fan for exhaust. But those are the only areas for fans in this Pc Case. Please let me know before all the other parts get here and i can finalize the build. Thank you for your help in advance.!!

I have bought a Corsair Obsidian 750d (airflow) for my new PC build and upon deciding to get the ASUS Maximus VIII Hero, I am getting concerned that the CPU cooler (corsair h100i v2) won't fit due to the motherboard. Does anyone know if it will fit or do I need to get another mobo or CPU cooler?

So my professor and I built my PC around May 2016 and I've been using it since. Didn't ran into any problems and assumed everything's okay until now. When I booted it up earlier this morning, instead of booting up Windows, it instead went into the POST screen which didn't happen before. The CPU LED on the motherboard is lit red. On the POST screen, there's an error saying "CPU Fan speed error detected." (images below). After a while, another error comes up, "CPU Over Temperature Error!" When I ran the BIOS setup, the CPU temps were at 88°C idle and the FAN Profile doesn't detect the CPU Fan (even though the cooler is connected to the CPU_FAN header). I've read some forums online and some were saying that ASUS mobos are faulty sometimes and may display really high temps and RealTemp says otherwise. I then set the CPU Temp and Fan Speed Monitoring to "Ignore" so I can reach the Windows boot screen. When Windows had booted up, I ran RealTemp and the temps are at 90°C to 100°C idle. I'm guessing the problem could be A) The CPU cooler is faulty, B) the cooler isn't mounted properly, C) Bad thermal compound, D) the CPU itself is faulty (which I hopefully not) Sys: Intel Core i7-6700K Corsair H100i V2 ASUS Z170-A Corsair RM850x Note: Never OC'ed the CPU and is running at stock speeds; the radiator fans are in a push configuration upwards; using the pre-applied thermal compound Images: http://imgur.com/a/AYjxa Any help/suggestions?

Hi LTT forums! I have a small problem... I have a Corsair h100i v2 aio cooler and have had one for about a year. half a year ago i got it exchanged because the pump stopped woriking. However, i hot a new one and its been working great since. The Problem I have is that the cooler is not detected by corsair link. this means that i cant controll it at all. The fans and pump is woking, aswell as the LEDs. I dont know if it is changing speeds or not because the last time i changed anything about its fan curves i set it to change the air speed based on the pump/water temp (and the water temp changes very slowly and little) Dont know how long its been like this for but it is frustrating me alot..... Sorry for bad english.. im from sweden

I acquired a Corsair H100i V2 last night and installed it into my system this morning but I'm having a problem with it not showing up in Corsair Link. The pump is working fine and the fans are spinning. Or I assume the pump is working since the LED's on it are lit up and my CPU doesn't seem to be over heating. I have tried all three different USB 2.0 headers on my motherboard to see if the headers were a problem and nothing. I know one of the headers does work because my front panels USB's have been plugged into it and it's not even allowing the cooler to show up. I have tried unplugging the USB connector from the pump and plugging it back in while the system is turned on to see if it would recognize a new device that way but nothing has yet to show up. When I go into device manager and try to download any kind of driver for it it says the proper driver is already installed but it does give me an interesting message in the device status I just have no idea how to fix this issue which is why I'm here. I have uploaded a screenshot with this post to show what device manager says. The rest of my system specs are: AMD FX 8350 Asus M5A99FX Pro R 2.0 24GB Corsair RAM 240GB Sandisk SSD Plus as boot drive other misc. HDD's Geforce GTX 960 EVGA G2 750w if you need any more information I will provide what I can.

I have an Asus Strix Z720 motherboard and a Corsair H100i V2 CPU cooler. I intend to run Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 Operating systems. Windows will be for gaming, while Ubuntu will be for my research in computer vision and deep learning. As such I do intend to overclock my system. As per the installation instructions for the Corsair H100i V2, it said to connect the 3pin header to the CPU_FAN header and then connect the provided 4pin headers from the pump to the 2 fans on the radiator. Corsair Link is then used to control the fan profiles. However there are two issues with this. Corsair Link only works with Windows and not Ubuntu, and also I will not be able to use the overclocking utilities of the ASUS motherboard. I have given this some thought and I came up with a solution but I would like to hear your advice. I intend to connect the 4pin headers of the two fans to the CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT headers respectively and then connect the 3pin header to the AIO_PUMP header on the motherboard. This was I believe the pump would run at 100% all the time, but I will be able to customize the fan profiles through the ASUS UEFI tuning software. Will this work? Does this seem reasonable? Any advice etc? Thanks!

Before I get started here is my component list,Msi Z170A Pro Carbon Zotac Geforce GTX 1070 Intel Core I7-6700K Corsair H100i v2 2 x 8GB HyperX Fury 2 x Kingston Technology 120 GB Solid State Drive 2TB WD Blue Corsair RM750x NZXT H440Okay so, at the moment the H100i v2 fans are running at 100% which is quite loud and annoying. I built the PC yesterday. Today I was doing the usual (installing drivers etc) and tried to use Corsair Link to change the fan speed but it doesn't recognize the two fans on the water cooler, only my case fans. I've seen others with this problem and they were told to make sure the fans on the cooler were plugged into the sockets coming out of the cooler (they are). They only thing I can think of is that one of the cables coming out of the cooler (the pump I think) is a five pin connector and the socket on the motherboard where it tells you to plug it in is a four pin. This probably isn't the issue because it works perfectly (playing Chivalry for 2hrs+ it never exceeded 25°). Anyways I was wondering if any of you wonderful techies had any ideas? Otherwise I'll have to bring it into a PC repair shop and embarrassingly ask them to do it. My wallet and I thank you in advance. p.s - I've also been told to change it in msi bios but I have no idea how to and I am scared of breaking something with my stupidity.- Matt

Hello All I'm confused though as to how to hook up the water pump and fans. I've got the Corsair H100i v2 cooler and the ASUS z170-A motherboard which has 2 CPU fan connecters and a waterpump connector ( PWM header aka as dedicated water pump header). What's the correct location to plug each item into? any help is greatly appreciate it

Hi Guys! Today i received my Noctua NH-D15 chromax and immediately i installed it in my case! I decided to upgrade my CORSAIR H100i v2, i found it to noisy and i figured that Noctua was the way to go. Unfortunately (just like you guys) the color scheme was not my taste and doesnt fit my build. However, with this new version i was sold immediately. I ordered it and installed it right away! I was a little worried that it wouldnt fit my case since i have "small" case (NZXT s340 elite) But after reading some other people's experiences i decided to go for it anyway. It fits with one fan installed (the other one would go over my ram and that doesnt fit) My full black build looks badass with this big cooler in it! Thermals: Corsair: Idle: 40 Celcius Load: 90 Celcius Noctua: Idle: 37 Celcius Load: 78 Celcius I diddnt do an extensive test but i think you get the idea. Im very happy with the results! and it looks badass too!

So a few years ago i bought this system when i had money come in, updated a few bits n pieces over time as money been available but always had trouble with system stability, hard crashes, blue screens, random shut offs etc. I've tried everything i can think of to try n get it to run stable, i was on an 800w PSU before but upgraded to 1000w thinking power could be the problem but no. Tried under clocking the CPU in case that was the problem but limited knowledge on the subject means i can only go so far if this is the problem. Tried manually putting timings in for my RAM but system wouldn't even boot with the timings on the side of the DIMMs. Any help would be much appreciated as this is driving me crazy, Money is really tight at the moment so part swaps aren't really an option All i want is a stable system that will play WoW with decent frames and run as a media machine Complete Parts List: Case: NZXT Source 530 all Noctua 14mm fans Mobo: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 CPU Cooler; Corsair H100i V2 (Previously had NZXT Kraken X62) (Kraken died and swapping made no difference.) RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x 8GB) (previously had 16gb mushkin RAM) PSU: Corsair 1000W RM1000X (Previously had Corsair 800W, upgrade has made no difference) Storage: 250GB DrEvo SSD, 1TB Seagate Barracuda , 4TB Seagate Barracuda OS: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

So been trying to get my PC to optimal temps over the last couple weeks. So at idle it runs 35c-40c yet at max load it runs over 80c+ with the cooler maxed out. I have reapplied thermal paste, and made sure cooler is positions properly, also I don't see the cooler temps going any higher then 35c, any suggestions as to what I could try next? I built my pc 9 months ago and I have had no problems for 9 months I got back from a trip to New York and when I turned on my pc the fans started faster than normal I looked in the bios and it said my cpu was at 88*. I googled a fix and thought it was dust so I bought a compressed air can to blow it out and to no prevail. Does anybody know a fix for this? I’m currently thinking I might have to take of the aio and replace the thermal compound.

I just assembled my first PC and the idle CPU temps are good, ~30C, but load temps aren't great considering I want to overclock it, ~85C. These temps are at the stock settings for the CPU. I am using a Corsair H100i V2 and when I installed it I just used the preapplied thermal paste that came on the cooler. My question is: if I uninstall the cooler, clean it and CPU of the stock thermal paste, and use some new thermal paste would it make a significant difference in my load temps? If so, what brand/type of thermal paste should I use to replace the stock stuff? Thanks in advance!
