Whenever I try to run a game that uses a lot of power, my breaker trips. This started a while ago, but it wasn’t much of a problem until I tried play Cities: Skylines II. I opened up the game, and my breaker tripped within 15 seconds of the menu screen loading. I tested this in multiple different rooms each on different circuits, and it continues to trip the breaker to whatever circuit. These connect to the bedrooms, and these switches are also a different type from all of the others? (ALL switches are General Electric, those ones are just a lighter grey and different shape) Some more information: - Switches are 15 Amps - House is only around 10 years old - PSU supports 750 watts - GPU is 4080 - Only trips on simulation-heavy games (C:S II, Stormworks, etc)

Budget (including currency): Max 8000 kr/sek ~ 750$ (but the lower the better and its not that kind of situation where i need to max out the budget) Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It needs to be able to run cities skylines 1 and the upcoming sequel, i also need it to be able to run blender at a decent speed (as long as its significantly better than my old gpu) Other details: current Pc specs: I5-8400 32GB RAM GTX 1060 3Gb vram (what i need to upgrade) 300W psu (probarly need to upgrade this to, include this in the budget)c 256Gb M.2 and 1Tb Hdd I have no preference for what gpu brand, i just want the best bang for the buck. Iv know that AMD gpus are slightly worse at blender unfortunately, if that wasn’t so i would if instantly bought one because of the good price to performance. I would prefer if my new gpu could run most games and specifically cities skylines 1/2 at 1440p 60+ Fps. My main reason for the upgrade is because of my low gpu memory. That is my current limiting factor in both blender and heavily modded cities skylines. I also dont need to get this upgrade NOW. iv stood out with it for the past few years, whats a few months more. Yes i said months, i would prefer if i could buy a card sooner rather than later but my max waiting time would probably be around Christmas (2023). But it would be optimal if i could get the new card before the end of October (this is when cities skylines 2 gets released). Also keep in mind i probably need a new PSU to supply the gpu, if that is needed you could please include it in the final recommendation and price.

Specs: i5 9600k (oc'd to 4.9ghz) Asus prime z370-A II Corsair vengeance LPX 2x8gb MSI RX580 Armor 8g OC Corsair TX650M I've recently started playing Cities:Skylines again, updated my mods list with some new graphics mods etc. Then I started experiencing issues with my GPU where I would play for a bit (up to 15 minutes but often only a few) until my screen would go black and my GPU fans would ramp up to maximum RPM. The computer is still clearly running in some capacity as I can hear the game music is still playing even with no display. This makes me think that the CPU OC isn't an issue. I have played the game with no mods installed (also played in DX9) and the issue didn't arise, this might be because it wasn't pushing the GPU to 100%. All of the mods I use haven't got any recorded incompatibilities which makes me lean towards this being a hardware issue. Possibly the mods are causing issues but I would expect the game to crash rather than the whole GPU. I was watching the temps with AMD radeon software during gameplay, all seems normal just before it crashes. Readout was FPS: 45 GPU util: 97% GPU SCLK: 1257 MHz GPU power: 107W GPU temp: 64C GPU fan: 3532RPM GPU VRAM util: 5470MB GPU MCLK: 2000 MHz I haven't experienced the issue in Forza horizon 4, GTA V or FurMark, all of which push it to 100%. I've started thinking that this may be a power supply or RAM issue, since I have also been experiencing a power cycle before post ever since I built the PC (even between CMOS resets). Basically when I press the on button, the fans spin up for a second and the relay in the PSU clicks, then after about a second the fans stop and PSU clicks again. Then the PC boots up normally. This only happens on the first boot after I have turned the PSU on using the physical switch. Just shutting down and turning on again doesn't cause it. As far as I'm aware this power cycling isn't normal. I built this system in January of this year (used GPU and CPU but everything else new) Things I've tried: Reseat GPU Turn off fast boot Verify game data Try with both sticks of RAM separately (for power cycle issue) I haven't yet updated the GPU BIOS as I'm not sure which is the correct BIOS file to use. Thanks in advance

Hey there interwebs, so I'm at a loss when it comes to problem-solving my Gigabyte GTX 970. The rest of my build can be seen here. Whenever I try to play games (the main offenders are the games in the tags) I receive an aggravating error. The most frequent (as well as the most annoying) is the Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG' Device being lost. Unreal Engine is exiting. Epic Games claims to have remedied the issue with the Unreal Engine in this post. People have claimed that the Engine will exit if you have an overclocked graphics card (which I have done in the past) but even when I downclock it, the issue still happens. The only temporary solution I have found is to run any game I play on ultra low settings and trying to boot the game up through the GeForce Experience Launcher. However, that is incredibly stupid to have to do because although a GTX 970 isn't by any means new, running a game on low settings like I'm back in 2005 grinds my gears. The worst offender of the D3D Error is Ark: Survival Evolved (maybe because the devs suck, optimization: WHATS THAT?!?!?!) but it also affects Foxhole, Cities Skylines, and Stellaris with consistent and annoying frequency. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a way to fix this problem? Is there a permanent solution (other than burning my computer to the ground)? Is it because I have Team Red (CPU/Motherboard) and Team Blue (GPU) trying to work together?

Hello guys. I’m planning to build a pc, and I’m currently listing some possible brand of parts that I’ll be using/buying. I need some advice on how to choose the right specs for my needs. I’m planning to play mainly Cities Skylines on the gaming part, and also I’m a video editor/content creator( I edit on my old laptop by the way). So with that, what are your suggestion/s?(CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU, MB, SSD, etc). Here is my planned cpu and gpu to buy, (amd ryzen 7 1700x and amd radeon xFX r9 390) and also 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz of RAM. Is that good? Thanks in advance have a good day! PS: can you also include the estimated cost of what you’ll suggest? If possible only thanks

Ive recently been thinking about upgrading my desktop, which is currently running an AMD FX-8350 which is really lagging behind in most games. I mostly play Cities Skylines (Over 1300h) so i really need a new CPU to be able to use more assets and mods without being down on 10fps in a 40k city. I have around $500 USD to spend on a new combo and really unsure which CPU i should choose. i5-8400, R5 2600, R5 2600X, R7 2700, i5-9600K, i7-8700 and R7 2700X is the processors im trying to compare, but theres not enough benchmarks for Cities skylines and im really unsure if i should go for more cores vs threads. i prefer ATX motherboards as i like having more expansion slots. RAM has to be 16GB as i need it for Cities. ?

I have 24gb of ram, and at idle my system uses about 11% of that. I use Firefox as my main browser and given I have a few maybe, 4 tabs at most open, Facebook, Twitch, Youtube, and maybe another google search I forgot to close, at most using about 4,000mb. Now, I also usually have all this open when I go to play Cities Skylines, which, at launch and first opening a map, its own RAM usage jumps to about 14,000mb, or about ~70-80% total RAM of my PC filled (according to task manager). This 14K mb does not stay this high however, after about an hour of play, it drops to something manageable like 2-4000mb. Now this where it gets to my problem, and I should say it now: I have never ONCE got a message saying "You are low on RAM" or anything of the sort, but after awhile, programs start to act odd, namely Firefox, my Nvidia driver, and Cities itself. Some of the problems I'll list here I don't always get, and they are never in any specific order/severity, but only happen when Cities Skylines is running and has had its RAM usage at some point be around ~14,0000mb: - I will get random Firefox errors, such as Firefox itself telling me a tab has died, and I have to refresh the page - If its a YouTube video, it will go to the static screen (in the player) telling me an error has occurred and I have to refresh the page to get it to continue to work - If its a twitch stream I will get a black screen in the player and it will tell me an error has occurred and I have to refresh the page to get it to continue to work - Sometimes these above issues happen all at once, or only 2 out of 3, or any combination, but if its usually more then 2 or so of these at a time, its enough time for me to say "Uh oh", and hit ESC in Cities to bring up the menu to save, only to then have a perfectly normally functioning Cities pop a crash message and then close - If its just one of these errors, more then likely I just need to refresh the tab and I can continue to play Cities regardless - Sometimes after hitting the "OK" button on the Cities crash pop message this will prompt my Nvidia Display drivers (up to date) to crash (GTX 1080 btw), resulting in a black screen on all 3 of my monitors, sometimes not coming back on and requiring a full system reset - Sometimes I will have none of these issues and Cities will give me the same crash pop message when I go to save my work and the same occasional Display Driver crash will occur after I hit "OK" on it. My hypothesis is either: that Windows is not allocating RAM correctly after a program has used a significant amount, and is now no longer using that RAM space, is allowing programs to use that RAM space as their own, they are then unable to because Cities is using it still (despite windows reporting that it might not be), causing the program (Like the Display Driver or Firefox) to then experience errors. OR Cities is STILL using that RAM space, not reporting that correctly to windows, and when other programs (like the Display Driver or Firefox) try to access it, there is an error. I have no way to isolate this issue as I do not have any other means to load up my RAM, and then have it slightly diminish its usage over time and see what effect this has on other programs on my PC. I should also note again that NONE of these issues in Firefox, or my display drivers happen unless Cities is running and that it has used an extensive amount of RAM. My question to you guys is that is this a Windows problem? Cities Skylines problem? Or possibly hardware? (its 3x8gb GDDR3 sticks for 24gb total) Is there anyway to purposely assign RAM space to Cities that ONLY Cities can access to mitigate this issue?

So, I have this odd issue. Cities Skylines crashes on me every time I either move my mouse or I click anything on my keyboard. It's odd, as I have removed all the mods from the addons folder. Now, here is where it gets stranger, for some reason Shadow of Mordor does the same, except only when I click any key on my keyboard. It crashes almost Immediately. I can move my mouse however. Any Ideas? My specs are as follows: Windows 10 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM Intel core i5 4460 GTX 960 XLR8 4GB VRAM Razer Ouroboros Steelseries APEX RAW keyboard.

I have a whole lot of issues arising in this game and I can't seem to get on top of them. Current Stats: 22k Residents, 6.5K Weekly Income, $90k in the Bank. Problem One: I'm not as profitable as I should be at this stage. Basically I'm barely getting by trying to fix traffic garbage and industrial problems. I see cities with 10k residents making insane amounts of money. What am I doing wrong here? I have six land roundabouts and arteries connecting all the major zones. Problem Two: Garbage is getting out of control I'm currently rockin' 2 Cemeteries, 1 crematorium in the middle of my main residential area, 5 dumps and 4 Incineration plants. I'd just add a bunch more but budget doesn't allow it at the moment and I always find myself spending money dealing with electricity and zoning for demand. My budget for garbage is 150%. I'm emptying them and it's taking forever! Problem Three: I have low demand for Res + Com and High Ind. This is a weird one. I have a pretty large Industrial area roughly 1/3 of a tile. I've only filled one tile and just starting to spread out to others now. I have no commercial and minimal residential demand while industrial stays around the middle or higher. This would be fine if I just had to zone more industrial but buildings are being abandoned frequently and every now and then there is notifications saying there are no buyers for their product. This again relates back to the fact there is no commercial demand to use their product. Problem Four: Traffic I have six lane arteries all over the city and deep into the Industrial zoning. yet the traffic keeps getting thicker and thicker. I find myself spending all my savings on these problems and not being able to add education and basic needs like fire, healthcare etc. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated, thanks.

I'm fairly new to Cities Skylines but after a few restarts I managed to get my city going fairly well. 13k residents, 3-5k weekly income and ~55k in the bank. Residential demand was relentless during the beginning with Industrial demand trailing shortly behind. Now Residential and Commercial have dropped down to near nothing and Industrial continues to skyrocket. My Industrial zone is massive. It takes up almost one third of the tile I'm currently working with. The main problem is that there is no demand for Commercial but I'm getting bubbles saying that there "isn't enough buyers for products". How can this be when there is no Commercial demand? I don't think it's a traffic issue as I have six lane arteries going into commercial and out of the city. The roads are busy but not out of control. I also have a cargo train station that is active but doesn't seem to be doing anything (Thought it would help, thinking I could export excess products). I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I'd love to find out.. "Thanks bunches" - Geralt of Rivia
