  1. Hello everyone, I'm reaching out because I've run into a persistent issue with my PC that's been giving me quite a headache. I'm hoping that someone here might have encountered something similar or could provide some insight. I haven't been able to find any issues like mine, but maybe it's just a googling issue. Two months ago, my PC started having boot issues. The motherboard LEDs indicated a VGA error, and no amount of reseating components seemed to fix it. Occasionally, clearing the CMOS would allow me to boot into Windows, and once I was in, everything worked perfectly. However, if I turned off the PC, it was a toss-up whether it would boot up again. I found some threads suggesting that the PCI-E slot on my old motherboard might fail over time, so I upgraded to an Asus Prime B-550 plus. The first boot went smoothly, but the next day, the VGA error returned. This issue has persisted across both motherboards. Now, I'm stuck in a frustrating cycle: I have to repeatedly restart my PC, sometimes for up to 45 minutes, until it finally boots and displays. Once the PC is on, I can restart it, and it boots up without any issues. Here's a rundown of the troubleshooting steps I've taken: - Reflashed BIOS - Removed one stick of RAM and switched them around - Tried different RAM - Tried a different GPU - Tried a different CPU - Cleared CMOS - Enabled and disabled resizable bar - Turned off and on fast startup - Reseated every component My PC specs are as follows: - GPU: RTX 3070 - CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x - RAM: DDR4 3200 MHz - Motherboard: Asus Prime B-550 plus - OS: Windows 11 I'm really at a loss here, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  2. Parts list: Ryzen 9 5900x, msi surpim x 3080 ti, samsung 950 1tb w heat sink, nzxt kraken x63, corsair 4000d airflow, rog strix b550-f wifi ii, and the corsair RM750e. So I have been having problems off and on for the past couple of months and I could not really ever figure out what was wrong with it. I have reason to believe it is my CPU now. It was having problems where it would boot into windows and then crash randomly after sometime and I tried multiple different parts because I thought it was the ram at some point, I replaced the ram 2 days ago and the ssd as well and it is having the same problems. It will boot into the bios just fine but it won't even load into windows anymore. It can't run the automatic repair system and every other time it just gives me the blue screen of death with the BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG error code. I haven't been able to figure out what specifically is wrong so any help at all would be appreciated.
  3. I'll try to make this as short as I possibly can.. Main Problems: - The Motherboard refuses to turn on after the PC goes to sleep. - Doesn't turn back on when a bios change that requires a hard reset happens, "ie, Disabling Hyper-threading or enabling XMP and many other options", - Makes a click sound when I press the turn on power button but doesn't boot unless I disconnect some of the peripherals and then press the power button for longer than needed "i.e. a Tap doesn't turn it on, a long press "1.5-2 seconds is needed". - The most success I had with turning it on is when I disconnected the Audio Interface "GoXLR Mini", then it boots with a long press. However, even with the Audio interface disconnected, it still doesn't boot back from sleep or a bios change, I would have to manually re-boot it with a long press again. My full setup: PC Hardware: 2 x Rog Strix Z790-I, 13700K, EK Nucleus 240 AIO, 7200CL34 G.Skill, Rog Strix 4090 OC Edition, SK Hynix Platinum P41 1TB Nvme Gen4, Thermaltake SFX 1000W ATX 3.0, Asus Prime AP201 Case. Peripherals: Pulsar Xlite mini & Final Mouse Tenz, Steelseries Pro TKL & Wooting 60HE, LG 27' 2k IPS Monitor, GoXLR Mini Audio Interface, Sure SM7b Mic, Sennheiser HD560s. Software: Windows 11 Home & Pro tested, both Latest Builds. BIOS, ME Version, GPU BIOS Version, Chipset and everything else was updated through the motherboard's support page. Things I've tried: - Bios & all other software available on the support website are used to update the system. - I've tried multiple combinations of USB ports to see if one of them was the issue. - Double checked my installation, cables are well seated, nothing is bent too hard or squeezed in a place that it shouldn't be at. - Disconnected the GPU and plugged in an HDMI straight into the mobo. - Disconnected both ram stick separately. - Disconnected chassis fan. - Disconnected ARGB header for the AIO. - Disconnected the Power Button from the motherboard and used the reset key on "ROG Hive" to turn it on. - Returned the old motherboard and ordered a new one thinking it was the issue. - Increased CPU Core Boot Voltage to 1.5v. - Increased some of the RAM dependent voltages as instructed by Asus's support. - Tried different random Bios options to see if it helps. - Did a 2 hour cinebench R23 test, and 2x memtest68 and they both passed without an issue. - Tried a high 3500W Power strip, 2 of them. - Tried connecting the PC straight to the socket. - Tried using HDMI instead of DP when connecting the monitor to the GPU. - Disabled the earth conductor pin on the receptacle to supply the strip only with phase and neutral. More Details: at some point I started with disconnecting some of the peripherals "I don't have many" and I soon found out that disconnecting the Audio Interface would yield the best chances of this system to be able to boot. Even then, waking from sleep never works, I just hear a click sound and the PC just shuts off. A bios change requiring a hard reset doesn't work either. Just to be clear, all those peripherals were working normally with the older build a month and a half ago. What's more confusing is, with the new mobo the system is exhibiting the exact same problems as before. For example, after clearing the CMOS, I can with 100% success rate turn the system on with a single tap on the power button, even while all the peripherals are connected. Yet I can't log into windows 11. If I go to advanced settings in bios, I don't see an option to access trusted platform settings "TPM". Which is weird since i need it to boot windows 11 otherwise I won't be able to, the only way for the TPM option to appear is to fully shutdown the system and then reboot it. More to that, after shutting down the system, now I'm back to needing a longer press on the power button and 2-3 clicks for the PSU/Motherboard for a boot "and I can't boot it with all the peripherals connected, I'd have to start disconnecting some" The PC in general works fine aside from that! Games run smoothly without any problems, everything else is good, benchmarks show no issues regarding temps or voltages whatsoever. The only problem is, it doesn't freaking boot normally or go to sleep. the PC Case itself has -ve air pressure naturally "All mesh panels", not being able to put the PC to sleep means that I will have to air dust it every 3-4 weeks. I tried with Asus's Support and I have posted in ROG forums yet it yielded nothing but utter disappointment and a waste of my time. After almost 5 weeks of emailing their support, the agent decided that I needed to RMA the board through the retailer that I bought it from, and now I'm not so sure that it was a hardware issue with the board itself, Or am I just that unlucky and got the same bad seed twice? Both boards have the same batch number yet one is produced in 11/2022 and the other in 2/2023 "new one"! Any Boot Voltages that I can "SAFELY" play with? If anything comes to mind, please do share. I'm desperate here! A bit of a visual explanation if anyone's interested:
  4. Last year I purchased a Mac Mini 2011 to use as a home server. MacOS High Sierra was working great, for a while. Starting sometime late last year, the Mac would randomly shutdown and boot loop until I reset the SMC. Then, once I did get it to boot, it would reboot after 30 minutes of idling. This basically rendered the machine useless for me due to how I wanted to use it. Last night, I set up Dual Booting on the machine for Ubuntu. It was working great for a while, and then, it started rebooting every 30 minutes just like MacOS. Today, it will not even start Ubuntu. It begins to boot Ubuntu, and then reboots. I ordered a new CMOS battery to see if that fixes the issue, but I'm not very confident that is the issue. Last note: I upgraded the RAM last year and put in an SSD a couple months ago, although these issues were occurring before I put the SSD in Any help is appreciated! Thanks
  5. Hello, I have a laptop SATELLITE A350-122 , it’s really old , but it was working very well.. Few weeks ago, its behaviour changed suddenly to become really worst and instable as following: When i press power button , it turns-on and all leds lights correctly (HDD led, Power-On led, Wifi led), but here is different behaviours and steps i did/encountred while booting: First I have to mention that all this post steps are tested without laptop battery, it’s only tested with charger because my battery life ended. Sometimes, the screen is fully black (means: like there is no current on the display/monitor) but the laptop fans works well, also its leds turns on, and hdd works, i can hear its little noise, but it stucks there, i mean there is no thing to display. Sometimes screen/monitor lights, but without displaying any thing, no text, no boot screen no thing (means it’s not fully black as step 2), and also it stucks there. When i restart pc by holding its power button for several seconds, then press it again, it started, but one of the previous behaviour is encountred another and another times without any boot screen neither displaying anything. I let my pc off for several minutes (between 15 and 20 minutes) without turning it on.. But after these minutes, i turned it on, the monitor turns on and in that step there is two random possibilities i could encounter along testing times: Sometimes it boot and access into windows correctly and works normally without any problem. Sometimes it stuck after booting into windows and all keyboard & mouse stucks. Sometimes it stuck before booting into windows (after displaying Bios & configuration texts like “press F2 to bios” etc). When i encounter the previous stucking steps, i try to restart again my laptop, but in that case i return to the first two steps (randomly stucked black screen step 2 or step 3). To analyse my problem, here is steps i did: Removed two RAM’s from its slots, and plug the first one RAM into its slot and turn-on power (but no changes). Removed two RAM’s from its slots, and plug the second one RAM into its slot and turn-on power (but no changes). I swapped RAM’s from their places/slots (no changes). I re-tested step 1 & 2 with swapped places/slots (also no changes). I removed HDD and turn-on (no changes). I harded reset my laptop with long-press power button (~15 secondes), and turn-on it again (no changes too ). Finally, i plugged my HDMI desktop monitor cable to check if it’s a display issue, but no changes too, the problem of the random behaviours still the same as on the laptop monitor. I really did not understand what can make these behaviour, and i’m stuck to define which part is causing this problem. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance
  6. I have a ASRock B450m Pro4 MB that I recently bought along with a Ryzen 5 3600 and some ddr4 8gb sticks, all of this was bought used except the board, which was purchased off of Amazon, The issue I am having is that it will boot, no display then shut down after about 20 seconds, I do not have a speaker so I cannot hear beeps, but the fans will all start and the power LED is on but I'd assume the bios is having issues but I cannot confirm this, I believe the issue is one of the following: PSU, Bad Ram, Broken CPU. I'd love any and all input.
  7. Afternoon, I turned off my pc last night and went to turn it on today. It now will turn on, display my initial boot screen then not display anything further and all the lights (including all my RGB items) are a static green colour. I have tried both HDMI and Display port connections and neither have fixed the issue. I have done the basic, turn off and on. Unplug all connectors and replug. Tried removing a single RAM (both) stick to see if one had died. Unplugged my cable extensions to see if they were the issue. Nothing seems to work the issue. I am running: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x MOBA: B550i Aorus PRO X RAM: x2 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance Pro RGB (3600 mhz) GPU: Radeon RX 480 PSU: Corsair 750W Gold standard Case: Corsair 280x Crystal Series
  8. I’m switching from an intel build to an AMD build but I can’t get it to boot into windows. Here are my specs: - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 4th gen processor - MSI B550 Gaming pro motherboard - Corsair Vengeance 2X8gb DDR4 3200Mhz ram - R9 290 4gb graphics card - 600W EVGA 80+ PSU - PNY 250gb SSD -WD Blue 1Tb hard drive I originally had an Intel 3570k CPU with a stock z220 workstation motherboard and the same gpu and PSU. I can get it to launch into the BIOS but when trying to exit and boot it turns to a black screen with a white hash at the top left. I’ve tried going straight into startup and it gets to the windows loading logo but it then goes black after that. Upon trying to reset the computer when it freezes like this, my pc then will not turn on (no motherboard lights, fans, or any sign of power) and I have to reset the cmos and wait for a good 30+ minutes. Any ideas on how to fix this / boot into windows? I’ve tried: -Resetting the CMOS -Checking the PSU -Replacing the ram -Attempting to boot from a USB Boot drive from within the BIOS settings (unsuccessful, gave the same black screen) -Unplugging and replugging everything -Removing all unnecessary usb devices Nothing has worked so far. I know for a fact that the PSU, cpu, ram, and motherboard all work and no other components are hindering it. I’ll include pictures below.

It wouldn't post after the new CPU install, so I cleared the CMOS and tried again. Then i put the 2600 back into the pc and got it to post, i updated the bios to the latest version on Asrocks website, but when I reinstalled the 5800x it went back into the boot loop. Also the cpu cooler fan would spin up with the 2600, but not the 5800x. Please help. Edit. Got it to post to bios by swapping ram around. However I now get this message popping up in the screen everyone it posts. I have not installed windows on it yet.
  11. I have a HP Omen 15-dc0020nr with super stange boot issues. It will not boot if I have a nic installed the power button the blinks on 5 sec off 3 sec. However when I pull the nic out it will boot just fine?! I have tired different nics but same model (Intel ax201ngw) could it be a compatibility issue with the nic? Seems like a wierd symptom if that was the case.
  12. Hello, so I need a lot of help So I decided to build a pc. ... but it's been nothing but hell for me. For starters after first install I get BSOD due to windows validation.. So I was told I needed to buy windows 10.. which I did. Now I ran into more issues where game would crash on launch and I would get various BSOD irql value cannot be less or equal to Kernel security check And a few others So I was told to do various things from swapping ram slots and re-seating GPU Did not solve my issue... so then was told to do a fresh windows install And start step by step... this caused me further issues where I lost my windows activation and I cannot reactivate, I have reached out to Microsoft and ambassadors just keep passing me around with no help... That aside idk what to do... I feel like I'm at my wits end. I shelled out over 1.8k and cannot get it to do what it's supposed too. Other issues have been where it freezes on msi logo or on windows log in page Parts MSI Pro z690-a ddr4 (updated latest/non beta) i7 12700k Corsair vengeance rgb pro 2x8g Samsung evo 980 with heatshield Aorus elite 3060 Corsair rmx850 (premium cables?) 13. So I had to replace the battery in my alienware m17 r2 laptop but because of the stupid design of the internals I had to take out the m.2 ssd, now when I try and boot it said it isn't installed, no matter what slot I put it in. I know the drive works it works just fine in my horrible other laptop I'm out of ideas on how to fix it and I can't afford a new laptop and I can't keep using my other one since it randomly will turn off or go to sleep.
  14. Hi! I finished my new pc build around 9-10 days ago. And up to this saturday it’s been working perfect, but all of a sudden it does not wanna boot, and it’s stuck on the BIOS logo screen. If I pressed the reset button and spammed del, I could start it with going into and closing BIOS. Then all of a sudden, everything worked as perfect when I tried it yesterday. But now today (monday), I’m back to being stuck at the BIOS logo, and I can’t even enter the BIOS. What can I do? Asus z690-f 13900k gwd 4090 h150i cap dominator ddr5 64 5200 hx1200
  15. Hello, I've been running into an issue that's really more of a hindrance than a dead stop. Every time I restart my computer and attempt to boot back up, my computer will hang on the Republic Of Gamers splash screen with the loading wheel spinning. It often hangs on this screen for 5+ minutes. Sometimes if I hit keys on my keyboard if seems to trigger it to boot up but that may be more of a placebo. Once the system fully boots up, I have zero issues. It's only when actually trying to boot up issues occur. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus XI Hero and my boot drive is a Samsung 970 EVO. Not sure if this is relevant but my mouse and keyboard are both wireless with USB dongles plugged into front of my PC. Thought it may be related to it not detecting a mouse and keyboard and hanging because of that, but that's just an uneducated guess.
  16. Hi guys, I have put together a “new” PC, “new” mobo and CPU. Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r and a Xeon X5675, paired with that I have my old rx 470 8gb, a Corsair cx550m and a Samsung ssd with windows 10, all of which worked fine in my old PC. I have tried changing from IDE to AHCI, set the ssd as boot drive, quick boot on and off, disabling second and third boot drives leaving only the ssd, reset the case open status that is now “no”. There is also a problem with the ram, I’ve tried both a set of hyperx fury 1600mhz 1.5v and a set of patriot 1600mhz 1.5v, both times the PC won’t post and the red led next to the ram signals over voltage. Now the interesting party, if I stick in a pair of hyperx genesis at 1600mhz and 1.65v it posts! But in the bios the ram is set to 1333mhz 1.5v as it should be at default. I’ve hade both the fury and patriot ram in my old PC so they should work.. Now that’s some of the weird hardware issues, now to the boot issue. I’ve attached some pics, the PC boots and sometimes if I don’t press anything the list of hard drives comes up for a split second, then it goes into a state of checking for drives and just stays there... other times it lists some hardware and says verifying DMI Pool Data ... update success. If I press f12 and select the ssd it goes into verifying DMI pool data ... and then nothing happens. The bios logo is also glitched out And then it shows the screen with the options for entering bios etc for a split second, needed to record a video and screenshot it. EDIT: I’ve tried with a seagate barracuda with windows 10 and it also gets stuck at the verifying DMI Pool Data... update success.
  17. Hey, First time PC builder that needs some serious help! I recently built my PC for great 1080p gaming have a 144hz gaming monitor that I ordered to put to use when it arrives. Long story short, I was experiencing crashing with a variety of games, but slowly managed to eliminate this (although green screen that crashes my pc still occurs sometimes), but now I am having trouble booting my PC after turning it off over night. I originally had my 5600 XT on the latest vBIOS, but have since flashed back to a more stable version (as advised by gigabyte) to try and eradicate some issues. Specs as follows: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF (friend gifted M9 Plus Cryorig cooler so using that instead of stock) GPU: Gigabyte RX 5600 XT Gaming OC (using f2 BIOs) RAM: 16gb (2x8gb) Team Force Vulcan 3200MHz (these are sitting at default settings, 2400MHz, was having serious crashing issues at XMP profile) MOBO: AsRock B450M Steel Legend Storage: 1TB Crucial P1 NVMe SSD PSU: Cooler Master MWE 650W Gold The issue I am having is that when I turn my PC on first thing in the morning it doesn't boot to windows and freezes on a black screen with 2/3 white dots (as attached). I then hard reset by long holding the power button to turn off then turn back on. What happens next is a recovery screen (also attached) where I click restart and seem to boot into windows no issues. When I was having game crashes I installed "whocrahed" to assess my minidump folder (followed youtube video for this) and I do get errors with TDR (atikmpag.sys), but don't know if this is relevant. I should also mention I have another thread about the green screen crashes mentioned where I have now lowered RAM speed and have seen that this has helped reduce the green screen game crashes, but although rare, these still occur. Further help on what would cause the game crashes is welcomed. Hopefully someone can help me out! Would love to know what the cause is and how I can troubleshoot to find out. Want a stable PC that I can game on with no scares of crashing and will fire up when told. Thanks in advance, - Westy
  18. Hi everyone, I built a new PC with the following specs: Motherboard: ASUS B450m-a mATX board, CPU: Ryzen 5 3600; RAM: Gskill 2x8GB DDR4 3200 kit, Storage: 512GB Inland Premium NVMe M.2 SSD; 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm drive; Graphics: EVGA RTX 2060 OC The system posted & showed all the devices in the BIOS/UEFI menu. I created a UEFI compatible version of Windows 8.1(since I already had an ISO) using Rufus. My initial attempt of Windows installation did not show the M.2 drive in the storage options. After googling around a bit I found that all other storage devices have to be unplugged & CSM support (& Secre boot) have to be disabled to allow installation on NVMe drives. I updated the BIOS, unplugged the hard drive, reset the CMOS, disabled CSM & secure boot and tried the install again but the M.2 drive still didn't show up in the storage options. As an alternative option I enabled CSM and set the boot storage options to UEFI only where applicable, but that didn't help either. I noticed that if I disable CSM the M.2 drive doesn't show up as a boot option in the BIOS at all. I tried searching the forum for posts related to the problem I'm facing & found only a couple with no solution. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions/solutions. Much appreciated
  19. Until recently, i was running my GPU at 1000mhz and the memory at 1450 mhz. To get a few extra FPS out of the Witcher 3, i applied a minor OC of 50hz to the core clock and booted into the game only to be greeted by a strange black screen with some patterns on it. The PC was utterly unresponsive so i restarted it and got a black screen (no cursor) instead of the login screen. (A bit of back-lighting was visible on the display and after a few seconds it turned off and on again to display the same thing) I then used DDU in safe mode to uninstall the GPU drivers (Crimson 17.4.4) as well as MSI Afterburner. The PC did boot normally and seemed to work fine on the windows display divers but as soon as i attempted to install the AMD ones (about half way through the process) i got the black screen again. Even if i booted into the desktop (Windows 10 Pro) and did nothing i would still get the black screen after about 10 mins. As a side note, i have been experiencing frequent power cuts over the last few days so it could just be the PSU? I am at a loss here. All i can really think of is re-flashing the BIOS but i am not sure how i can do that on this card. If it turns out this is the solution, any basic tips pertaining to the same would be appreciated My Specs- FX-6300 @ 3.8 ghz Asus M5A97 LE Kingston Hyper-x memory 8GB Sapphire R9-270 Dual-x 2GB Corsair CX500 1TB storage+ Samsuing 750 evo boot drive (250GB)
  20. When I try to boot my new pc, nothing appears on a monitor. Looking in the case, I see the motherboard showing an ez debug led. I get a feeling my ram might be having issues due to other threads I have seen, but I am not sure.
  21. Okay, so to start off I have a pre-built PC that my parents bought for me 4 years ago (2012-2013), which was decent for that time and it worked PERFECTLY, specs back then were: i5 3350P Nvidia GT 630 2GB 330W HP PSU 1 TB HDD 6 GB Generic Ram (Hyundai RAM) Windows 7 (not that it matters) Anyway, so for a long time I didn't bother with upgrading any components but around mid 2016 I realized that I couldn't even run modern titles on Low settings without having frame drops to low 20s which was very annoying, so fast forward a few months of saving up (and some lucky bonuses) I finally updated my build to: i5 3350P (same processor, I didn't change it) ASUS Nvidia GTX970 Strix OC 16 GB HyperX Fury Ram 2 TB HDD Corsair VS650 (650W PSU) Windows 10 Motherboard is: FOXCONN 2ADA with H61 Chipset (for those who are wondering) BUT!, soon after updating the build my PC started to have a problem, it would just decide to not POST randomly. at first I thought I must've done something wrong with the connections or maybe the RAM isn't compatible or the GFX card. I tried putting back all the components that I had replaced back on the motherboard and tried again but that problem still persisted. Sometimes it would POST (lights turned on and HDD spinning, GFX fans spin etc but no output on the monitor) , but sometimes it would not. Completely randomly. I tried the new component with my friend's build and they worked completely fine with no problem whatsoever, posted each time I turned it on. But my motherboard won't post at times, regardless of what components from the bunch I was using. Here are the fixes that I have tried that have worked OCCASIONALLY: 1) CMOS Clear 2) Complete dedusting of the components 3) Replacing CMOS battery 4) Total teardown of the build and rebuilding it 5) Letting the PC turned off overnight completely unplugged 6) Leaving the PC open (turned on but no POST) overnight 7) Trying a new PC Case 8) Unplugging a one of the two HDD 9) Unplugging the CD Drive (I know what you all are thinking, but come on, it was a pre-build system I didn't intentionally install it) 10) Unplugging Keyboard/Mouse/Headphones/Printer (Basically all USB connections) and restarting 11) Prayed to God to please make it work 12) Tried just restarting it These fixes worked at max once or twice, they DID NOT work everytime, heck the last one only worked ONCE in the last 2 months. TL;DR: PC wont post after hardware upgrades, no matter what, randomly decides to post when it wants to. I have tried every Google search result on the first two pages, and none of them helped. My only option is to leave it open once it POSTS and just shut off the monitor/lock my pc when not in use. My guess is maybe the Motherboard wasn't getting enough power to supply to all components at the same time, but a 650W PSU should be more than enough, but I really don't know anymore. Thanks!
  22. Edit: This issue was never resolved. I've encountered an issue that I can simply not resolve at this point. I do not have physical access to this computer and never will. I have been providing remote support to the owner for a few days now. My first choice of action at this point would be to remove the boot drive, but the owner is not comfortable doing so, as it is an all-in-one. The model is the Aspire 5600U. Let me start off by explaining that I have absolutely hated dealing with this computer. It came with Windows 8.1, and I concluded it was time for an upgrade to Windows 10. The upgrade went smoothly, but then issues started pouring in. A day after the install, the computer refused to enter the desktop after logging in, with a black screen that lasted over ten minutes. This was resolved rather quickly, as I told him to just reinstall with his installation media. Now, I've reached a dead end. When his computer boots, it immediately enters an infinite error, as seen below. The computer hangs on this screen, randomly rebooting every 10 or so minutes, ending back at this screen. He's tried to enter the BIOS by spamming F2 (Default for Aspire 5600U), with no luck. The computer simply does not seem to let you enter the BIOS without it having a bootable Windows installation. He let this go for about two-three hours, with absolutely nothing changing. There is never an option to select a boot drive during startup, and the POST screen displays absolutely no information. This computer seems to boot automatically into Windows. If any of you can come up a resolution to fix this POS of a computer, I would be very grateful.
  23. I just completed a computer build for a friend, we turned it on but it would never post. The fans spun up and the hard drives did too, but the monitor was idle the whole time. Does anyone know what is the issue? We have tried many things. HELP!
  24. So my pc doesn't boot, and i heard sparks. The HDD was pretty old(6+ years) so i thought that died and got a ssd. Turns out hdd was fine and pc still not booting up. Help me obi wan, you're my only hope
  25. Hey guys! I've been looking around for answers for quite some time and I haven't found any solutions or any similar question about my problem. I built my computer fairly recently and I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, I haven't done overclocking yet beyond changing the speed of the RAM. This morning I tried to check temps using the Ryzen Master software to compare it with what I was getting from HWMonitor, and everything was still running fine. Later on, I was doing some work stuff and decided to get up and rest for a while and left the PC running. I decided to get back to work and saw my PC went into rest mode. It didn't want to wake up and the debug code E0(S3 Resume is Started (called from DXE IPL)) was showing on the motherboard. So I had to do a force shutdown and I booted into OS then it suddenly shut down and restarted again. The debug code also changed from the usual A0(IDE Initialization Started) or 24(Reserved) to D3(Some of the Architectural Protocols are not available). I got into the OS found out that after uninstalling Ryzen Master it was back to the usual codes. But now every time I boot, after a few seconds it'll shut down, the fans would stop and it would try again. It would boot into the OS and run programs for a few minutes then do it again. Here are the solutions I've tried: 1. Go into BIOS and go back to default settings: FAILED still boot looped 2. Took out the RAM and swapped their places, ran everything at stock, and swapped out my UPS for a better AVR: Test Ongoing; seems stable for now... I'm worried I might have killed my CPU, but judging from the temps, voltages, and speeds I'm seeing in TaskManager and HWMonitor, they seem to be okay. I'm hoping my last solution works out in the long run. I just hope somebody out here can tell me what could have potentially happened to my PC with all that's going on. Here are the specs btw: Ryzen 2600x with Stock Cooler 2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000MHz MSI GAMING Z RTX 2060 Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 WiFi EVGA Supernova G+ 650W Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB WD Blue 2TB NZXT H500
