Finally BF4 gets massive balance patch. Now I have covered most of this in my earlier post http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/108970-my-thoughts-on-battlefield-4-jan-30th-and-upcoming-patches/ won't comment on same things. There are several things in this patch that I have opinion and I hadn't commented on last time, so here goes. This is only my opinion. I'll quote changes and give my thoughts on them. Was there problem....? You can "rapid fire" shells without it being problem. But I've seen few times tanks with too fast firing. And when you don't have it, its annoying. Minor things but welcome ones. Last one particularly. I hate when firing half of clip into someone and they seems to survive without hits. This sounds interesting. I like the part where you push boats back to water. No more waiting squadmate to do so with another boat. If only they would fix that same thing on tanks and apcs. Spectator mode I don't use this feature much and so won't paste anything. Overall there is some good and imo some not so good changes. Since spectating is mostly used for casting matches I feel that DICE has focused more towards general pubbers with these changes. Grenade balances I didn't cover these before and there isn't much to cover. Just this: For now minis have been almost better than M67. Huge change. Makes Metro fun again. Or more fun than it was. Or not. Pistols Last time I didn't have anything to say on these. Now I have something. Good thing. I use QSZ-92 atm and I like it. Its like M9 of BF4 with current M9 being shadow of BF3 version. when i play kunlun mountains on bf4 just as i take the first elevator with irish, dima and the 2 prisoners, the ground doesnt load and the characters glitch through and fall, teleport back up and that keeps happening

I keep trying to join bf4 servers and it shows up breifly in the task bar but then disappears and i open task manager and its in the background. can someone please help? I tried restarting.

I uninstalled BF4 to reinstall it on my new SSD, but then origin says preparing to install BF4 on C: but that's my HDD and my SSD is E:. How do I change this?

Ok so what the heck do you want Lance... I just want to ask the battlefield community if you have been seeing these errors: Because I have been seeing these errors on BF1 and BF4. The only errors I recieve are the "Low FPS" Warnings. But thats Bull**** Because in campaign (With VSYNC Enabled) I get 60 FPS. But in multiplayer, I also get 60 FPS, But the game is chopping up and is basically unplayable online. (And no my internet is fine.) So what, Not my problem you loser... Fine whatever, But seriously guys this is a HUGE problem with many of my friends playing Battlefield. For the past two month ive been getting this error when i try to join any battlefield 4 server even the test range, when i try and join it launches the game and crashes and said "Connection to the server has been lost. Please check your internet connection or try again later." i have no clue what to do anymore and ive tried everything from reinstalling the game to clearing my dns cache and nothing has work. Thanks for any help eric.

Hey guys, so recently I've been playing BF4 everything worked out well but now all the sudden i get this error message: (the text box glitched so, I don't know if the things I've typed is still there) ERROR Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'JAC_SDWdidi' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed I can play the game but only for+/-1minute after that I get kicked. Any help thanks

hello, im quite new to this forum and stuff. so here it goes, i dont know why but i playes bf4 a couple of days ago and then i noticed that i was only getting about 50% GPU usage and 80% CPU usage. heres a picture taken with my phone: http://imgur.com/a/So8ky i have a GeForce GTX 1080 MSI gaming X OC mode on + OC @ 100 MHz, 16GB GSkill @ 1333MHz, Intel Core i7-4790, Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 R4 i dont think the rest matters idk if this is normal with bf4 but i dont think it is supposed to be like this.

Situation: I play Arma2+3 mods such as Overpoch as well as various CoD and BF titles. I get excellent performance in everything I play, except that BF4 and BF1 crash after a few minutes in a server...If I am running my OC profile. If I run a standard profile without any sort of OC, there's no crashing. Naturally it seems as though my OC is unstable except... Whilst it may indeed be that black and white, it doesn't feel like it to me. I've bench-marked my OC time and again using Unigen Valley, Unigen Heaven and 3DMark. Here are the last several results for 3DMark, with latest result omitted because it was a score for my standard profile. I did another test in which I uninstalled MSI Afterburner, downloaded the MSI Gaming app and ran their OC profile...And again, BF4 and BF1 both crashed after a few minutes. Switching to a non-OCed profile allowed me to play uninterrupted. It is this last test that really convinces me my overclock isn't unstable. There are no other games in which I have any discernible performance issues, all I know for certain is that the latest BF titles don't like running an OC profile. GPU: MSI 1070 Quicksilver. I've looked around for others with Battlefield issues, and while there have been many issues for many reasons, my problem seems specific.

Hello, I didnt know where to go to as and was told that the forums here where nice and helpful, so here I am . After watching a Battlefield 4 optimization guide, I downloaded and installed the Nvidia Inspector, and applied the BF4 Profile. I couldn't believe how long it took me to find this fix! For almost 3 years I felt like I could be running the game better, but didnt have a clue. Did everything under the sun and no go ! Now that its fixed and smooth as butter, I would like to try Nvidia Inspector profiles on other games !!! My question is, would I have to re-apply the Battlefield 4 profile, after applying profiles to other games every time I wanted to play Battle Field 4 again? Hope my questions made since, and have a good day, and I am stoaked about being here ZugzwangGroo

I`ve got a gaming laptop, it should be able to play Bf4 quite well GTX 950m 12gb Ram 256GB SSD I5 6200U but after some times it lags heavily and then it gets back up again any suggestions why, it is not cpu overheating as it boost all the time and doesn't throttle i will try to post more info if requested.

So Guys its simple just write which BF game is your Fav and why it's your Fav. So, in my Opinion, BF4 is the best yet bc I really like the way you snipe and I love the maps especially Lancang and Shanghai, but I also (don't flame me for this) like BFH because it's just different than the other Battlefield games and it's really fast. but BF1 is fine also. WARNING: PG-13 language used in the video. As you can see, in the video I am having major FPS loss. I know this is an old topic but, I tried fixes from 2014. Source http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2390044/battlefield-fps-drop-stuttering-lag-fix.html It has nothing to do with in-game settings, I fiddled with everything including v-sync. The frames only seem to drop when I shoot a gun at a high rate of fire OR if an explosion happens near me. I reinstalled the game 2 times with no change. The game is barely playable in its current state, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Im running: 6850k @3.6ghz Founders edition GTX TITAN XP 64gb Gskill Ripjaws @3200mhz (4 dims) I'm sure we can rule a gear bottleneck out

BF4 is on sale at Origin so I was planning to pick it up, but not sure if I should get the Digital Deluxe or Premium. I don't intend on playing the single player so is there any new gadgets that are actually useful in Premium? Do I need Premium to play ranked or specific maps?

So I recently got into the whole crossfire situation and I noticed one major issue in using it in BF4. The FPS is great but the gpus randomly like to dip to 400-450Mhz and it causes major FPS dip into the 10-15 FPS range. I am on 16.9.2 Drivers. Anyone have any idea? Please let me know! Thank you

Few days ago probably last week I made a topic that talks about Nvidia newest and freshest 10 Series, Which you can see :Here. The problem is I don't know who's Nvidia's target for the GTX 10 Series, and then the 1060 launched and it literally blew people's mind by it's performance and price. I like to compare this card with another Value card (No, it's not the RX-480) which is GTX 970 it's predecessor which still counted as a usable and valuable card for the price as of 2016. GTX 1060 Launched at a shocking price as low as $275 for the Founder's Edition and $240 for the MSRP. Now, those price are surely made for value gamers who wants the best frame per buck type of deal, not like what happened to the GTX 1070 and 1080 which you could see more at my older post. Now, I've tried to search for benchmarks of this card and comparison with other card especially the GTX 970. and this is what I came up with: And this is Linus' Video: Now the question is, "Is it really the best value card for the price?" I'm having a problem with BF4. I have played it without issues for 80hrs or so but I occasionally get a issue where the game client will crash when I join a server. It usually fixes itself when I restart my PC but not this round. I've tried running the webhelper, verifying the game in Origin restarting, turning off and on etc. Nothing is working. Any tips?

Recently got a new rx 480 and re installed windows 10 along with just my games. I have an i5 2500k and 16gb of ram. This is what some textures look like: It is like this on all graphics settings low to ultra and i have tried everything basic but nothing has fixed it.
