I started downloading R6S after ragequitting a few weeks ago (because I suck at it) and went on to youtube and just put in "pro bf3" and watched the first video that I found. I started wondering, why are there no "modern" shooters. Like the ones with REAL guns, like M4s, AKs and Berettas and all that shit. Only a few like that are popular, such as CSGO and Rainbow Six Siege. I guess you could call MW3 popular too, but it's also an old game. There are no new titles really. It's all about BF1 and Infinite Warfare that people are talking about. Am I really the only one that wants a Bad Company 2 remake? Wasn't that an amazing game? Because Sci-Fi genre doesn't seem that popular anymore. I'd seriously love to get back into BF3 or Bad Company 2, feel the nostalgia. But everyone is just playing Battlefield 1 and Counter-Strike.

This will be a rather short post of what I think is unknown Battlefield trivia. At some point during the development of Battlefield 3, having/requiring a monthly subscription was apparently considered. I've never seen this mentioned publicly, but I am not the biggest Battlefield fan, so I apologise if this is already known to some extent. This is something I briefly discussed with a person who worked at ESN Social Software, who were involved with the development of Battlelog. This was back in the summer of 2012, shortly after the company was bought by EA. I don't know too much more but as I’ve never mentioned this to anyone publicly and since enough time has probably passed in order for this to be wholly uncontroversial, I figured someone might find it interesting. Cheers.

Recently, I opted for Origin Access and downloaded Battlefield 3. When I launch the game via origin or desktop icon it would open battlelog webpage in browser and display Wrong email or password (screenshot attached), I need to login and launch the game from there. Is there any fix for this problem? Is anyone else facing this issue? Thanks in advance

This may sound funny, I'm new to overclocking, while playing bf3 my Gpu temp would stay at 80c, so I set temp limit option on MSI Afterburner to 70c but I notice that it actually lowers the power limit, is this okay, I mean can be bad for my GPU, if it gets less power? Are there any other way to limit performance of Gpu?

Hi guys, I recently bought myself a MSI GTX 960 4gb which is a pretty solid upgrade from a GTX 650 1 gb So when I installed it, updated drivers and directX etc. I ran Battlefield 3 just to feel the smooth fps (I thought) Well the problem is, With my GTX 650 I got around 40-50 fps on medium And with my new GTX 960 I get the same fps when playing on LOW and the same fps when playing on ULTRA (Both around 45 to 50 fps) PC Specs: AMD FX-8320 Black edition 3.5 ghz (Stock cooler) 16 gb of ddr3 RAM MSI GAMING GTX 960 4GB ( I did not manually overclock something) MSI 970 motherboard 500w psu This are my CPU and GPU Temps etc Playing at Ultra Cpu Frequency: 3800 MHz CPU Fan 3333 RPM CPU Temp 46 ° CPU voltage 0,001 V CPU usage 68% DRAM Frequency 2666MHz DRAM usage 42% VRAM Frequency 3505 MHz VRAM usage 49% GPU Temp 49° GPU frequency 1329 Mhz GPU usage 67% GPU fan 0 RPM GPU volt 12v These are while playing on low CPU frequency 3800 MHz CPU fan 3521 RPM CPU temp 46° CPU Voltage 0,001 V CPU usage 67% DRAM frequency 2666 MHz DRAM usage 43% VRAM frequency 3505 MHz VRAM Uasge 21% GPU Temp 47 GPU frequency 1215 Mhz GPU usage 29% GPU Fan 0 RPM GPU volt 1062 V *Note: I used MSI gaming app to let me show al these things while game, and i recorded with Shadowplay so i could write all these things down so maybe it affected the result, i dont know for sure though

I will not claim do be the best Battlefield player because I definitely am not. With that out of the way I still have some knowledge to share. I was thinking that there might be players interested in learning some theoretical things about the game. What I want to talk about is pathing, movement, aiming (just the basics + some more advanced stuff) and just how the game works in general. If you have some knowledge you want to share feel free to join us too. Learning has never been a bad thing and asking something neither. Interested? Post here and we can make up a way of communication where it is teamspeak skype or something else ... See ya on the Battlefield!

So, I just finished Battlefield 3, and here are my opinions regarding the campaign and multiplayer. Campaign: A challenging experience, where gameplay was realistic; yet the storyline failed to keep my adrenaline going like CoD. The campaign was reasonably enjoyable. I played on High-Ultra settings @ 1080p, and I'll say that the graphics are very immersive, as I sticked with CoD for awhile. The maps are vast, and there is a nice strategy built into the game. However, I'll say that the story sucked compared to any CoD game out there, and lacked the "rush" CoD gave me. The soundtrack could be the blame, as it was very lacking. The missions aren't very straightforward within, as I on one mission, I kept on hiding at the wrong spot to the point where I had to look up a tutorial for the level. Not bad, but could've been better. Multiplayer: I just experienced the most balanced multiplayer in existence. Multiplayer is truly where all the fanbase is coming from. Can't wait to have LAN parties with this one. Large, immersive maps should be able to open up possibilities for a realistic simulation of modern day combat. Final verdict: Would I buy BF 4 also? Maybe. (Look at my specs, they suck. This is up to AMD giving mobility users Mantle) BF isn't perfect, but is still a good game. RATING: 8.5/10

GTX 970 has a problem with battlefield 3 and 3 monitors?
mod3rnnightmar3 posted a topic in PC Gaming
So I recently got a GTX 970, Works great!...sort of, I mean it work great for most games, except for battle field. Don't get me wrong it the game runs great but the day I got my graphics card battlefield started having a problem, When I look up fast enough and right click to aim, my mouse will unbind from the game and bring up the menu on the desktop, This happens when in both windowed mode and fullscreen although it seems to happen less in windowed mode. it should also be noted that I am running 3 monitors. I have experimented with it and these are the results I found, On one monitor playing the game but the two others monitors on the desk top it seemed to happen alot with one monitor and the other 2 disabled it didnt happen at all on three screens it seemed not to happen very much probley about every 10 minutes but since it was taking up my entire screen it seemed to go right back into the game because I would click on the game and it would back it. it should also be noted that I am not running in surround because I hate having the task bar in the middle and I also cant watch videos off to the side, on 3 monitors I was playing in windowed mode. and this was also in windows 7 I'm sorry if I left some info until the end this is a problem for me and I hope some one knows a fix because bf3 is one of my favorite games on the pc and this makes it very annoying.- 4 replies

So it turns out that OBS skips frames when I record Battlefield 3 on my laptop (specs below). It runs bf3 on high but can't record at the same time, same with medium. Fraps will make it lag like arse So anything I can do to record footage on a laptop w/ intensive games other than placing a sony camcorder in front of the screen? Thanks Specs in sig!

My Gaming Bio...If you like co-op gaming add me =)
GuestForeverX posted a topic in Looking For Group
I am new to PC gaming, and I think I need to start making some new friends. I'm 21 yrs old, I pretty much have left most gamer rage behind on xbox and am pretty much a noob to most of the games I have at the moment on PC. I love Co-Op games like Borderlands 1&2(not a noob), Left 4 Dead 1&2(not a complete noob, but I need work), Portal 2,Trine 2, Syndicate(2012). I do love Splinter Cell Blacklist I believe I am awesome at Co-Op on it. [i don't care for the MP on Blacklist] I have the icky uPlay version. I also have gotten pretty good at Battlefield 3, but can't find many friends to squad up with on a normal basis. I have some other games, but I have no idea if "some" of them have co-op or not. http://steamcommunity.com/id/GuestForeverX/games?tab=all and because I spent so much on my new rig I can't really get any more games at the moment. I am happy with my First PC Gaming Rig I am loving PC gaming so far compared to Xbox 360. I do play with an Xbox 360 controller still and I probably won't migrate to Mouse & Keyboard until I can get a better desk and keyboard. Also I'm the kind of person who likes the game to be a bit challenging, just not Very Hard or Insane Difficulty...but not on Easy with handicaps or cheats. Well you can find me as GuestForeverX on LTT/Raptr/Steam/Origin/Uplay/RazerComms/Skype/Hawken/Other I'm usually on Steam & Skype most of the time that i'm online. Edit: I've updated this thread. Sorry I didn't add some of you... apparently I wasn't following this topic Whoops.- 26 replies

Hey guys, I´m planning to build a new system for gaming only. No video editing, etc.at all. This PC is meant to be a low budged build, so im planning to spend a maximum of 550€ (I´m from Germany) or about 720$. The game being played is mostly Battlefield 3 (incl. Premium, i think Aftermath is a little more demanding) on a old but reliable 1280x1024 Display, so no high-end resolution. Because I don´t have an OS handy, I have to plan around 80 bucks for it as well (Win 7 or 8, no price difference at all). HDD is avaliable from old PC but when the budged allows an newer (and faster) one will be better. Here´s the component list I´ve figured out so far: CPU: AMD fx 4100 (85€) Mainboard: AsRock 970 Extreme 3 (65€) GFX: AMD Radeon HD 7850 (2GB) (155€) RAM: 4GB no special brand (25€) PSU: Corsair cx430 (43€) HDD: WD Blue 500GB (50€) Case: Anything cheap (~30€) OS: Windows 7/8 (80€) 1. I´m wondering if the fx4100 will have enough power to handle 64p MP of Battlefield 3 or if a fx6300 / i3 3220 would be the better choice? 2. The 7850 should have way enough power. Would a 7790 handle it aswell? (Nvidia cards are an option, but the price to performance is really weak in this price range) 3. Is 4gb ram enough or are 8gb a must have? Thanks for helping me out, drfreeeeeman

The title says it all. I don't know what to say about this other than... what? If you don't own BF3 and you still want it here is the link. The premium version and all the DLCs are not included. Source: https://www.origin.com/en-ie/store/buy/battlefield-3/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition

So recently I picked the free BF3, and when I was playing I noticed a significant stutter when and after shooting a gun while still getting a constant 100+ fps in game. After doing some research, apparently the most common cause for this issue was CPU parking with multicore processors in Windows 7. But, after disabling CPU parking I found no difference in performance and the issue persisted. At this point in time there doesn't seem to be any other method to removing this issue and right now it makes the game unplayable. So despite BF3 being the "superior" version of Battlefield (which everyone seems to say) I'll just have to stick to BF4, unless any of you guys know a different method that may help me with this issue. BTW I am running Windows 7 Ultimate, my graphics drivers are all up to date and my PC specs are in my signature.
