Hello everyone.. The question might sound weird but i just want a second opinion.. My friend recently told me to build his gaming pc.. he had a tight budget so i was looking for deals.. and i found one.. i picked ryzen 5 2600 with a b550m aorus elite as a package for 100$ US, now considering his usage he won't be upgrading that 2600 for atleast a year or two.. since he doesn't use his pc that much.. so he has no problem if i swap his b550m aorus elite with my b450m pro vdh max.. Now my build has a ryzen 5 5600 which is overclocked to 4.8ghz all cores at 1.24v.. i compared these results online and i am in a luck with my processor.. this is a really good oc for 5600.. and i tried cinebench r23 for 6 hours straight and i had no issues with the stability ever i m using this oc for about 7 months.. Now i have a gen 4 nvme ssd.. and my current mobo support gen 3.. and also b550 aorus has some other great features like 3 pin argb headers.. also it probably would make more sense in my opinion to use that board with my 5600.. Still i want to confirm should i switch to that board? And is the vrm config better or atleast same on that board compared to b450m pro vdh? Since i do want to keep my oc.. i know i have a option to try it but i want to get some opinions before changing everything

my daily desktop suddenly gave a black screen and all the fans went turbo. im using a amd ryzen 7 5700g in a gigabyte b450m ds3h, tired with and without my msi rtx 2060 and tried 1x16 and 2x16 ram, my usual is 2x, ive cleared the cmos twice, i get lights and fans but no screen or boot errors i can see. im going to install a b550m ds3h ac as i was planning to later this month to try and rule out more parts. i have ramand cpus that worked when removed i can use to test aswell. when this issue arose i also lost the ability to force a hard reset via power button. anything helps

I have 2 rams produced on 2021 Feb and another one I purchased today produced on 2023 Aug. I purchased new one because my PC was getting slowed by low ram on my pc. Ram details DDR4-3200 8GB F4-3200C16S-8GVKB CL16-18-18-38 1.35v Intel XMP 2.0 Ready I have ram with these exact same details mentioned above. All of 3. Now the problem is that the base frequency of these rams is not 3200 but my motherboard is capable of overclocking it using XMP. So previously when I had only 2 of them, I was running them at 3200. Now if I'm trying to so the same with using this on 3rd slot, it's lowering all the way to 1833. What could be the issue here? Should I mark the product as defect and replace it? I have also tried to replace 1 of the older rams from 2 with the new one still it isn't picking up to the 3200MHZ while same is working with the older 2 rams with the same settings. Motherboard - MSI B450M mortor max Processor - Ryzen 5 3400G Graphics card - None

I've been meaning to upgrade from my 2700X when I recently found out how much it underperforms compared to newer AM4 chips. My main scare is that the videos about putting a 5000 series chip in a B450 or X470 board feature boards that have pretty good heatsinks over their VRMs, while the heatsink on mine is kinda crappy in comparison. Will it be a noticeable/dangerous issue when actually playing games, or is it only in the software frequently used to benchmark VRMs (Prime95) that I'll start to see problems? Specs to consider: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Ryzen 7 2700X NVIDIA RTX 3060Ti

I want to build a cheap gaming pc with an integrated graphics and upgrade to an 6600xt later and i find out that the Ryzen 5 5600G is pretty good but my budget is very tight so i can only go for a MSI B450M Pro VDH MAX motherboard but i dont know if it needs a bios update or not. If it does, i already have an Athlon 3000G with an intergrated graphics. Can i use it to update the bios. Pls let me know

I am building my first pc and I watched videos that it is better to underclock using PBO2 to get maximum efficiency. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G 2x8GB 3600Mhz I'm stuck on choosing between MSI A520M-A Pro and Gigabyte B450M-K. Which of these support PBO2 and its curve optimization? Thanks guys, would be a big help!

Hi, have completed a fresh build but keep running into GPU issues when installing updates. Fresh install of windows 10 works fine until drivers are updated, then monitor goes blank and powers off (computer still running). I have tried also install https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/non-whql-radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.2.1-win10-64bit-feb1.exe This also crashes video driver. -B450M aorus elite -NZXT 750 80+Gold -Ryzen 5 3600 -2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB -1TB M.2 P2 SSD -PowerColor RX 5500 XT.4GB. Hi internet! I´m new in all of this so here we go! I had recently change my motherboard because the last one wasn´t good for overclocking, but I had a few problems with the RAM that, hopefully, are gone, but now I have another problem. I actually have sound in my monitor, and i doesn´t used it a lot but with the other motherboard worked that, if i unplugged the jack of the Razer Kraken the sound went to the monitor and vice versa. I tried a few things about changing the drivers and touching some settings of Realtek Audio Console, but for now nothing works. This is my build: -AsRock B450M Steel Legend -Ryzen 3 3200G 3,8Ghz -HyperX Predator RGB CL16 3200Mhz -Cooler Master Silencio S400 (HD Audio connector for one jack for mic and headphones and ALC892) -(In service) XFX RX580 8GB XXS I hope somebody can help me, or maybe give me a tip to get it work until there is an official solution

My specs: Mobo: Gigabtye Aorus B450M CPU: Ryzen 3 2200g RAM: Corsair vengeance 16GB So, all the USB ports on my PC (Front as well as rear) have terribly low data transfer rates.. While transferring files to a UBS 3.1 from a 3.1 port or any port, the speeds never exceed 30MBps! The USB drives themselves are perfectly fine, since, I tried them on a much older laptop with USB 3 port and successfully hit 100MBps burst transfer rates and 60MBps sustained speeds... The limiting factor on that laptop is its poor Celeron CPU which bottlenecks the transfer!! Also, I've overclocked the CPU and iGPU and RAM is in XMP. Please help

Hello people. i wanted to make sure i was reading the spec sheet of my motherboard correctly. https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-PLUS/Specification Here's the spec sheet for my motherboard, is it correct that it has one cpu 4pin fan header and 2 4pin system fan headers. Which means i can only have 2 case fans actively spinning? because with my current case NZXT H500 i realaize that if that's the case then i should probably change the location of the fans since i would have one on the top rear of the case sucking in air and one on the rear next to the motherboard ports blowing air out (which seems quite stupid to have air sucked in at the top back end of the case only for it to be blown out right after) as showin in the picture in the spoiler.

I have a Gigabyte B450 Aorus M and I'm having issues getting into the bios to enable XMP. For whatever reason whenever I restart the pc and spam delete (the button labeled with opening bios) nothing happens, it just stays on the motherboard's boot screen. The only way for it to boot to windows is for me to shut down the pc again and not press anything in the mobo boot menu.

Hi guys, I'm seeking help here as a last resort after trying to troubleshoot for the past 4 hours as to why I could not set up my fiancee's PC anew with the new Samsung NVME SSD 980 that I have bought. I will try to detail as much as possible. At first, she had an old PC that she has been using for years. For simplicity sake I will list only the important parts. If I missed any crucial components, please let me know. Old PC specs: Asrock AB350M Pro4 Ryzen 3 1500X Kingston SATA SSD 128GB Western Digital SATA HDD 1TB Cooler Master 500W PSU Zotac GTX 1050Ti\ Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Her HDD seems to have traces of windows OS, indicating she could have backed up the SSD to the HDD. Now, with the new PC I have built for her, she wants to keep the HDD, which I have formatted by right-clicking the drive and clicking "Format". I took the full format route to NTFS, which lasted about an hour or so. New PC specs: Asrock B450M Steel Legion Pink Edition (BIOS v3.60P) Ryzen 5 2600X Samsung NVME SSD 980(MV-V8V1T0B/AM) Western Digital SATA HDD 1TB(formatted and taken from old PC) Super Flower Leadex Gold 80+ 850W Galax GTX 1060 No Windows OS Supposedly, the result I was expecting was that the new PC will boot as new. Building my little brother's PC was a breeze as we set up the whole windows on his NVME SSD. However, as I boot her new PC up, the BIOS was not able to detect the NVME SSD. I have searched multiple solutions and have tried the following: 1. Resetting BIOS by removing CMOS battery 2. Making sure SATA_3 was not in used(One of the solutions suggested that the M2 slot will be disabled if SATA_3 was used) 3. Reinstalling the NVME SSD 4. Disabling CSM on Boot tab 5. Checking for latest BIOS firmware(not able to update, any further updates might affect CPU compatibility) 6. Booting with HDD(Not able to, it says "Your PC/Device needs to be repaired. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000e. You'll need to use recovery tools...) Now at my wit's end, any help will be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

Specs Ryzen 5 2400g Gigabyte B50M H Seasonic 500w bronze 8GB ddr4 3000 hyperx cl15(i ve tested the stick and works fine in my other pc) 500 gb kingston m2 ssd After I start the pc fans start spinning but I get no video output on any port I ve tried to remove the battery and drain the power from the mb and did not work tried new ram on both slots single slot got nothing Also I installed the mb speaker for troubleshooting and it gives no sound Tried to plug unplug multiple times the cpu power So I ve come to the solution that either the mb has a problem or the cpu I don't think the cpu would let me down in such a short time (It was used just for watching yt ) Any ideas are welcomed Sorry in advance for my bad English

So I was looking around my bios settings, because why not, and I couldn't find CnQ. I'm currently on the latest (2.80) BIOS version, and the latest chipset drivers are also downloaded. Was it removed or am I just doing something wrong?

Budget (including currency): 200000 HUF (approx 650 USD) Country: Hungary Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Black Desert Online, Forza Horizon 4-5, F1 2021 Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey Everyone! I'm planning to upgrade and replace some of my PC components. I have a plan, but i'm not sure if those upgrades or replacement are the best. I'd be more than happy to hear some experienced thoughts on what to do about these! Didn't include storage, because i don't have any problem with them (both SSD and HDD). Edit: I plan to upgrade the GPU, but cleaning and easier building is the important thing for me atm. This is why i want to change the case for i think the best one on the market. The CPU was a long time coming for me, and i don't want to buy another one when i buy a gpu (the plan is at least a x80 o x80ti) Edit: i only have a budget for these components as the GPU's in Hungary are double the price still (as everywhere i assume) and the 3060 is obave my budget. I would like to know that the mentioned components in my plan goes well with eachother and also would be good for a 2080/ti or 3080/ti (or 3070 etc.) Sorry for the edits, i never posted in any forums in my life and i'm not pro in english either. Hi i just want some advice on troubleshooting my build My specs before: CPU: Ryzen 5 3400g MB: MSI B450M Mortar Max RAM: GSkillz Trident Z 16GB GPU: Asus Dual RTX 3060Ti I have updated my bios about a week ago before upgrading my CPU to Ryzen 5 5600X now that i installed this to my pc it wont even show the Arsenal logo so i can go to bios, the DRAM led is lit. CPU fan, case fan, GPU and RAM seem to be powered but no display. I tried reseating the RAM but same thing happened. After reading some similar issues I think the issue is because i have xmp on before i change CPU. I changed the RAM clock to 3200MHz. Do I need to reset bios to default settings? I don't know if I did it wrong but I tried clearing cmos, but after that it still same issue. Do I need to M-Flash to update bios again? I hope someone could give any advice on how to troubleshoot this one. Thank you

My motherboards (b450m mortar titanium) USB-C connector don't work at all in like no power or data. I was thinking that it can be a bios thing but, I'm not sure if the bios can cut power on ports. I'm positive but not a 100% sure that it cant be because I have a m.2 drive in the M2_1 slot. I really want to use the USB-C for a hub I have but I cant use it right now because the USB connector.

Im having an issue with my new B450M Mortar Max motherboard as I know that the built-in LEDs on the motherboard should be customizable with Mystic Light but its not showing on the software and I can only change the lighting on my RAM which are Crucial Ballistix sticks. I also have some Lian Li ST120 fans installed and made a mistake by plugging them into the 4-pin 12V header on my motherboard as it doesnt have any 3-pin 5V headers. Could this have damaged the RGB hardware on the motherboard? Since I'm trying everything before changing any hardware, I downloaded the standalone version of Mystic Light and it detected my motherboard and I could change the color of my motherboard LEDs and it syncs with the fans as well as I bought a DeepCool RGB convertor to plug into my motherboard, but my RAM wasnt detected this time. I want to be able to customize everything from one place for convenience sake. I'm suspecting that Mystic Light in MSI Center isnt compatible with the motherboard yet since the software is fairly new, but it lists MSI Center as part of the motherboards utilities on the website. I'm hoping to see if anyone else has the same issue or if theres a way to fix this.

Hello! Literally created an account to ask these two questions, lol. So I'm building a new budget gaming computer, and as the title says, I'm debating whether or not I should return my new & unopened B450M MSI Mortar Max I bought for my Ryzen 5 3600 (which I plan on upgrading to one that can OC better in the future) and instead get a B450M Asus TUF Pro S. I had no idea the latter existed until yesterday, and now I'm conflicted. Would it be worth the hassle (and potential restocking fees) of returning the board I bought for the Pro S, or will I be perfectly fine with the Mortar Max? I tend to build my computers for ~6-8 years of use, so I definitely want to make sure I have a relatively good future friendly motherboard. Also, besides a much better VRM & a 2.5 gb lan port, does the Pro S offer anything else over the Mortar Max that would make it worth that hassle (IO, BIOS, Software, Customer Service, etc.)? I'm aware that Dragon Center sucks, but I know nothing about Asus or their software so I don't know what to say about that.

Hi, i recently bought an 5600X for another build: CPU: 5600X with a STOCK COOLER GPU: 3060 Ti Fe RAM: 2x8Gb 3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO PSU: EVGA B5 650W CASE: CORSAIR Airflow 275R 3x120mm (2 in on front panel and 1 on the back) mid tower MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus B550M PRO-P (updated to the latest bios) Windows power plan: high performance So I mounted all in the case, I updated the bios, and installed the Windows. I did a few windows settings such as deleting unnecessary programs, and I set the power plan in windows settings on high performance. I installed the AIDA 64, HWINFO and I started a stress test on the CPU ONLY. I was a bit shocked about the temps that went from 50 degrees to 80-90 in like few minutes. I tried to launch Apex and Warzone and the temps went to the space like 95 degrees in lobby without even launching in the actual game. Also I saw that the Power Reporting Deviation was marked RED and it was was around 65% and I thought that this motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus B550M PRO-P) is damaged or something. So I decided to test: is this really the mobo that not working properly or the CPU. I put the 5600x into my assembled PC: CPU: R5 1600 af with a STOCK COOLER 5600x GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 570 8GB RAM: 2x8 Ballistix Sport LT (OC'd to 3200Mhz 16-19-19-19-38) PSU: Corsair VS 450 450W Antec NX300 White 4x 120mm 1x 92mm (2x120mm in front, 1x120mm on the back and 2 on top 1x120mm n 1x92mm) mid tower MOBO: Gigabyte B450M S2H (updated to the latest bios) Windows power plan: high performance So I stared the same test (stress test on the CPU ONLY). The results were pretty good: the max temp was 76 degrees in my closed case (4x120mm n 1x92mm and it's a mid tower), the power plan was the same (high performance), the Power Reporting Deviation was also accurate (around of 100%) so I concluded: the mobo works weird because of this Power Reporting Deviation. Than I decided to buy a new mobo, an Aorus B550 Pro V2 (updated to the latest bios). I did the test in an OPEN STAND two times: with 5600x & Gigabyte B450M S2H and 5600x & Gigabyte Aorus B550 Pro V2. I did this tests twice on the same system: 5600x, RX570, 2x8 Ballistix, 650W PSU and the same drives. The results you can see at those images: https://imgur.com/a/RXllJqJ#wNL959T and https://imgur.com/a/g0Bsr9W . Every bios config was set by default out of the box and i didn't touched it, no overclocking, all was set to auto (the Core Performance Boost and Precision Boost Overdrive also was at auto). The temperatures in my room were around 25 degrees, also the thermal paste was the pre-applied one, and this test was done in 30 minutes so no huge changes in term of the room temp. So my questions are: why am I having this difference in temperatures between this chipsets (b450 and b550) and why is this Power Reporting Deviation so low on the Aorus B550 motherboards? 5600x is really THAT hot? Should I really just buy a new cooler? Does anybody who runs at the aorus mobo has the same Power Reporting Deviation? Should we count this as important thing and link this with overheating? Feel free to ask any questions and thank you in advance for any help.
