I have a (somewhat) janky setup for audio that lets me use my pc to listen to my phones audio, as well as use my pc mic on my phone. The only issue is, when audio on my phone starts or stops, it makes this loud pop. I've seen a lot of stuff online saying it might be drivers, anyone know what could be causing this? More in depth about the setup, my phone has an adapter plugged into the aux that splits the Mic and Headphone sounds, they they are plugged into the green and pink audio jacks in the back of my pc, but in reverse. Why? because I'm treating t he phone as a microphone which I play back into my headphones (the ones on my head) from there, I have my mic think its using my phone to listen to itself, and bam, I can hear my phone and talk into it from my pc. Its kinda hard to explain, and most of it is done with Voicemeeter Potato, but yea. I will also mention that I have tried using a normal headset to listen to my phone, no popping, and a normal mic through the pink audio jack, no popping, its only when I try the current setup things pop, so what gives?

Hey, so I have a Speaker supporting Micro SD Cards (TF Card) as well as an AUX Input. So, can I convert this AUX in port to an AUX Out port so that I could connect another speaker and play them both simultaneously with a TF Card and and Aux Cable. Is it possible to do so?

So I have been having this strange issue where Xbox party chat and or Discord will randomly become quieter and echoy. I will add a recording of it next time it happens. It seems to only happen with apps that use my microphone often (Blue Snowball). When it does happen, it only happens for one app. The game audio might be fine, but the discord audio is all weird. It happens in games that use the mic as well. I find that it happens only when I am using my headset via the AUX cable, but not when Im using bluetooth. Any help would be appreciated!

I am interested in buying the 'Creative Stage soundbar' for my gaming pc. I need some information regarding the connectivity/compatibility of these speakers with a gaming motherboard. I'm using a msi b360 pro vdh mobo which delivers a very good quality HDMI audio (I'm using a wired speaker currently having a 3.5mm jack) I can see that the speaker package doesn't include an aux cable to connect the speakers to the motherboard/computer (my mobo doesn't support Bluetooth). If i purchase an aux cable separately and use it with the speakers will the sound quality be as expected ? Specifications of the aux cable that i'm planning to purchase for this device- 1. Stereo 3.5-millimeter audio auxiliary cable , male to male 2. Audio High transfer speeds up to 1000 Mbps 3. Made by Honeywell.

Hello lovely people! I have a question that I hope has a simple answer... I'm looking at splitters like this one here and I know most people would use them to connect 2 sets of headphones to a phone/laptop. https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Speaker-Headphone-Audio-Splitter/dp/B000067RC4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1503169717&sr=8-3&keywords=aux+splitter What I'm wondering is if I can use it in the opposite fashion and connect the male end of the splitter to a set of classroom speakers and then connect a desktop PC and an old VCR player (yes you read that right...VCR) so that they could both play audio (not at the same time) without having the teacher need to switch cables every time. I've read through reviews and questions on the amazon page and have gotten some conflicting information so I'm hoping someone here will be able to clear it up for me. Thanks in advance, the LTT community is awesome!

Hi, As I have my laptop docked on my desk with my speakers and screen, I would like to sometimes lay on my bed ,away from my PC, and wirelessly use my good speakers with my Android smartphone via Bluetooth. To make this happen, the setup needs to be so that a Bluetooth device acts as a pass through so the speakers work regularly with my PC when not in use, but then cut out to allow a Bluetooth connection take over the speakers. Does anybody know the best solution to this? Thanks a lot, Tal Tarablus

Good evening to everybody (living in Germany :D) I recently bought a Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus aka Lenovo P8 from Gearbest. It arrived in time and as of now I was impressed by performance to price ratio. The only problem is have is, that the tablet, which was supposed to replace my old and malfunctioning tablet in the car, has problems with its AUX port. When I try to plug it into the radio via AUX port, it refuses to recognize that radio as a headset and continues to play sound via the onboard speakers. I've tried diffrent cables, its the same with every cable, and my phone works just fine with the radio. I tested the AUX port of the tablet with my home speakers, where they work just fine, I tested the tablet with Sennheiser M30i In-Ears and they work just fine. The only two things I found which were not working with AUX was my car radio and a bluetooth box. What i was thinking what is causing this issue ( as the tablet shortly recognizes it as a headset but loses that focus very fast again), is, that the electrical resistance of the radio is too small, as it has its own power delivery source, so the tablet will shut down its AUX port. But i have no evidence for that theory, so I am asking you guys if you know a workaround, because the tablet really is perfect except this issue. Also I've tried to force the tablet to use the AUX port using an App, but with that the left front speaker wont turn on, and the quality is shitty. I am begging you guys for help. Cya and have a good day. Cany

I have a setup where I have an aux cable plugged into the mic in on my (integrated) sound card, with windows configured to listen to the input. This allows me to play audio from other devices - such as my laptop or phone - through my desktop. Although this works fine, I'm facing a few problems: The setup seems kinda janky. I mean, I'm obviously not the first person to want to play audio from other devices through my desktop, but it seems like there must be a better way of doing this. The audio is quiet. This was to be expected, but the volume drops by about 60% compared with playing directly from the device. There is a lot of background noise. Again, I'm not particularly surprised by this. I feel like a DAC/AMP system would solve most of these problems, but I'm not overly familiar with them, and I don't know whether such a system would be able to support effectively two audio inputs (from my desktop and the other device). Would a DAC/AMP solve my problems, or would I need to try something else? I'm a college student, so the cheaper the solution the better, thanks!

I have an audio problem I have to solve. A friend of mine is having issues with their Heath and Alan Soundboard and he is having issues with the USB working with OBS Studio. So I need to go another route. I need to know is there a DAC or some kind of device that can take a headphone out into an Aux input. I am DAC are usually outputs but is there a USB audio device that can do what I am looking to do?

I have a JBL extreme connected to my PC using an AUX cable. In windows the volume is set to 100% and I adjust the volume on the speaker. The problem is that if theres nothing playing for a period of time and I want to play something it doesnt play it, I have to turn it off and back on again. It works fine and I can play sound through it for as long as possible but when nothing is playing after some time it just kinda goes to sleep and wont play a thing until I turn it off and on. Does anyone have the same issue and knows how to fix it?

Hey all, I recently completed my first build and I have been having a nightmare in regards to my audio. I have solved most of my initial problems regarding drivers and what not, however, I now have a low buzzing/humming noise that happens when plugging my headphones in to the front of my case. Most notably, it seems to happen when anything graphically/computationally intensive happens, or when certain mouse inputs happen (for example using the scroll wheel will cause a slight buzz for the duration of the scroll). Its not terribly loud, but it is enough to be annoying while listening to music while working or playing quiet games. When looking up solutions to this problem online, most people seemed to point to the idea that something was not properly shielded and is picking up interference, while some others suggested that it could be caused by a bad ground somewhere. I'd appreciate any pointers on what fellow audio enthusiasts have to say. I currently have tested it with a Corsair HS50, a crappy JVC set, and apple ear pods and they all yield the same results. Could it be that the JAUD header sits right below my GPU on my mobo (pic attached)? If so, how do I shield that connector from electrical interference? Any troubleshooting tips? Hello! I have a very small problem which at this point is just a small inconvenience. I'll try to make it quick: When I connect my headset to my Sennheiser GSX 1200, it works perfectly without any background noise. When I try connecting it back to my PC (Asus Prime X370-PRO AUX input, to record or stream using OBS), the audio has a static hissing noise in the background, see attached .mp3 file for the exact sound. Is this being introduced by software settings/missing drivers or is it just because of a cheap AUX input on my motherboard? If so, I'd have a follow-up question: What do I need to fix it? I know that I'd need a soundcard for that, but what kind of prices/brands would I be looking at? Sorry for all these (possibly stupid) questions, I'm completely new to this. Thank you very much in advance for your helpful answers! static.mp3

So I play World of Tanks and I need Teamspeak at short, so, I have the sony XB950N1 and i really want to use the integrated mic and headphones to speak and hear my teammates. what can i do? It includes a TRS 3.5mm jack but when I looked online, its says a TRRS jack is needed for mic and headphones. Can't I just get a TRRS jack, plugg it to my bluetooth headphones and use a Female to two Male splitter? Then just hook it up to my pc on the headphone in and mic in, would that work?

Hey all! I recently got a cheapo AMP from aliexpress in the listing for the item the seller failed to notify the ONLY output is speakers and it has BT, AUX and line INPUTS... but the AUX input is on the front of the AMP and that's perfect for my setup and id like to know if it is possible to rewire the AUX in to a AUX out (Still kinda a newbie in audio but I can solder and rewire stuff)

So I am not sure if anyone is going to be able to help here but ill give it a go: I use a remote trigger for my Canon EOS 800D and I opened it up to find a motherboard (I think) and the wire for the AUX (3.5mm Headphone jack) to plug into the camera. How does they do they get the code onto the motherboard and is there any way I would be able to see the code on the motherboard? I would also like to view the code on the motherboard to code my own similar device. My thinking is that if I was to code a similar program and run it off a phone or tablet with a proper User Interface it would be a fun project to try and do. I have tried looking this up however it seems this isn't a very common topic lol. Below are the images of the motherboard if it helps in any way?
