I'm super confused with 3100 & 2600, some say 3100 is better for video editing in adobe premiere & others suggest 2600 is way better for having more cores & threads, anyway all i care about is to add more filter, effects and overall a good editing experience rather than faster rendering time

Planning to buy a Ryzen 3100 or if I get lucky a 3300x. But I am having second thoughts if having either of these processors are safe and suitable for the motherboard I currently have. And the motherboard is the MSI A320 A Pro. Will it be stable for games and multitasking? Thanks.

Hi I'm al Ltt fan from Italy , i'm 18 and this is my first time I post on the forum , after watching every LTT video on YouTube I build my system (R3 3100 overclocked at 4.6 ghz 1.35v cooled by an nzxt 120 Aio , gtx 1070 Strix repasted with kryonaut compound and 1.5 mm thick arctic pad on every memory module, msi b550 pro vdc-wifi, 16gb dual channel g-skill egis 3000mhz cl 16 overclocked at 3200mhz 1.360v and this timing 1T 16-18-18-38 , a Kingston sata ssd and a 550w corsair bronze psu). The gpu also is overclocked at 2060 mhz boost and 9150 mhz the memory, I did this aggressive overclock not because I'm fool but because I wanna beat the best 3d mark Time spy score for the same configuration as mine that is 6664 point, the best resault I achieved using this setting is 6542. The system is really cool temperatures without glass side panel are really low around the 50s and 60s for both cpu and gpu so I'm not thermally restricted, what can I do for improve my result and eventually beat 6664 point in time spy?

My point in even making this post is; whats better? I am using a decade old (almost) CPU now, that feels like it's on it's last legs 1.4v for a good 5 years of me owning it has taken it's toll. I don't upgrade that often. Sill using a 240GB Samsung 840EVO SSD that was in the system when I paid my friend £300 for the thing about 5 years ago. What's going to last longer? A Ryzen 3 CPU with a 7nm process or a Ryzen 5 with a 14nm process? I'm still on bloody 32nm. This is a large purchase for me and I really don't want to waste money on it. It'll be paired with a GTX1070 for a good year or more, until I save enough for a new GPU (and when you can actually buy one) and subsequently a new Ultrawide monitor. I'd be aiming for a theoretical RTX4070 I hope, or maybe a 4060Ti, heck, even an RX7700 XT! Other info; Why is there an SSD and a PSU here? Simple answer is, because, I can? Also I want a better storage solution to this old SSD. Maybe it ends up in my GFs system. The PSU is because this one is nearing 7 years old and it's an older OCZ ZT Series unit, which scares me a lot. I've added a 750w unit because I have PSU anxiety so more is better(?) and I feel more comfortable with a higher wattage and having to spend an extra £20 on that. This AsRock B450 motherboard is stated on their site to support Ryzen 5000 series. Once the prices drop in a few years time I'm likely to simply buy a 2nd hand (or old-stock) R7 5800X or R9 5900X and run that setup with a 360mm RAD or NH-D14/15. Also, my current setup is 3 monitors. My Acer is over DVI, the Samsung is over HDMI and the Logik TV uses VGA which uses ASUS's very clever dual iGPU and main GPU system. How would I run all these monitors at once from a new PC without any onboard video from the MoBo/CPU - the TV does have HDMI in but I use that for my Roku streaming box and it would be more a first-world-problem than an actual issue to just unplug and plug in the cables every new and again. Would buying some cheap but very low power Nvidia GPU like a GT210 make sense to just have a VGA port for the TV, or am I being over-complicated for no reason? So, I'm planning to build a media PC for my home, and I have two options in mind. A Ryzen 5 3400g with the stock Vega 11 iGPU, or a Ryzen 3100 with a GT 1030(GDDR5 2GB edition). In my country these two configs cost the same(about 14000 INR). Which one should I opt for? The build will be mATX, so size isn't much of a constraint. The 3100 combo will have more net performance, but I was wondering if the increased power draw(CPU+dGPU vs APU) would be worth it. Thanks for your help!

I have a gtx 1660 super 6gb oc and ryzen 3 3100 also 8gb of ram 2330mhz, and a edimax a600.

In my country (India) there is over $35 diff b/w both cpus... I am highly confused as to which i should buy. Seems like an easy answer! Just go for the 3300x, it has better ccx layout and faster clock speed, BUT I am planning to pair these with a 1650 Super and according to what videos and articles i could find, the performance difference will be low with this budget graphics card. Another problem is that if I were to go with the 3300x ill have to shave off some money somehow to fit it in my budget. I would have to go with 8 gb ram instead of 16 or get a dirt cheap ssd which will be utter trash/ barely better than a hdd. I would like to know your thoughts about how much of a difference will both cpus make. i have no plans to upgrade anytime soon (at least 4-6 years) so keep that in mind! as always there are ppl telling to not buy now and instead wait for 4000 series. I find these comments foolish but I wud like to ask that is there a probability of budget cpu from 4000 series to be launched this year... i wudnt expect that as they just released these both budget ryzen 3s.

In pcpartpicker it says they are not compatible. But in motherboard support page. it says they are compatible. Are they really compatible or not?

All the motherboards mentioned below are exactly BETWEEN $115 TO $120. Help me choose one according to Ryzen 3 3100 and GTX 1060 3gb, I don't think i would overclock, it is already around 500% bump over my last specs. Plus this is my first Pc BULID 1. For a gaming build with a EVGA GTX 1650 Super SC Ultra Gaming 4GB GDDR6 GPU witch is the best a i5-9400f or a ryzen 3 3100 and witch one of them is more future proof ?

Hey all, I'm located in the USA. I have been monitoring the major sites like Newegg, Amazon and MicroCenter (I have one 2 miles from my house) for the AMD Ryzen 3 3300x & 3100 CPUs. I had pre-ordered the 3300x from B&H. However, it has been backordered and delayed multiple times. The current backorder ETA is July 16th. I have not seen these available AND near their MSRP since the launch. MicroCenter hasn't had the CPU available at all. I had Newegg set for "Auto-Notify" once both of these chips hit the site and I haven't received any email from them. Amazon has the 3100, but it is marked up to $140 by a third party seller. Outside of what I listed above, I have not seen either of these CPUs at all. Am I just having really bad luck or has this launch been as frustrating as I have been experiencing?

First I will make it clear that the 3300x is not available here in Greece for maybe forever I want to make a PC 1080p gaming and also for adobe premiere pro (light video editing) but without much power consumption I am between the r3 3100 with b450 motherboard with updated bios or i3 10100 with an h410 (so I can use quick sync) Side note I already have 16 gb of ddr4 memory at 2666 mhz speed and an RX 480 8gb graphics card The difference of those CPUs here is around 20€ (Intel more expensive ofc) but the price of the motherboard are almost similar Which option sounds better?
