Recently it happens that both in game and on the desktop (usually when I have any window open) the image on the screen glitches/flickers for an instant (I can't really describe what happens, but up and down the window seems to break along a column, sometimes showing the contents of the window below or it seems to scan one column of pixels with another), and then everything returns to normal. This happens only on one of the two monitors I have connected, specifically the one set to 165Hz This is the setup: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black DDR4-RAM 3600 MHz 2x 8GB (no XMP) MOBO: MSI X570-A PRO AMD PSU: Be Quiet! System Power 9 500W ATX Black GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 EAGLE OC V2 12GB (never tweaked) Storage: 1 x SSD 2.5'' 1 x HDD 2.5'' 2 x HDD 3.5'' 1 x NVMe Gen4 M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB MONITORs: PHILIPS Evnia Gaming Monitor 24M1N3200Za/00 (@165Hz w/ DP) TV AKAI 1080P (60Hz w/ HDMI) This phenomenon occurs both in Windows 10 (clean install, no crack, no tweaking, no dubious tools and not activated) and in EndeavourOS where the phenomenon always occurs on the PHILIPS monitor @165Hz On Windows I re-performed the clean driver installation with the help of DDU, but nothing changed. Searching the internet I found a file.reg on reddit that was supposed to solve the problem by disabling MPO via windows registry, but nothing. I downloaded benchmarks but they all run great. I responsive without errors on vram with both OCCT and memtest_vulkan. Finally I took a look at the temperatures in the various games and benchmarks, but it's all ok, I then opened the pc, and took a better look at the HW just checking if the various connectors were well plugged in by reattaching the various connections but nothing. As for the monitor settings, I really don't know where to put my hand and whether to put it. Do you recommend anything?

I thought I did my research before buying it, but evidently not. The new Samsung G55A 32" monitor I have looks kinda bad. My older Spectre ultrawide looks better. I am thinking of returning the samsung and finding something better. I thought that HDR 10 would be a good thing, but I was wrong. 95% of content looks washed out and bland. My budget is roughly 400 maybe 500. I want something big, so 32" is pretty good. 1440p is as high as I can go with a 3060. I do not care about HDR because it looks pretty bad in anything that is SDR. I mainly use my PC for watching videos, playing games (RDR2, Portal, SotF) and creating scenes in Blender, so color accuracy is good. P.s I wish I could afford an OLED...

Essentially I have had this gpu for about six months in my build and all of a sudden it shows no display when booting up. I have even gotten a warranty replacement from zotac and it still doesn’t work I just wanna be able to use my computer again. The specs are cpu:Ryzen 5 5600x motherboard:gigabyte arorus b550 elite ax v2 (rev 1.3) gpu:zotac 3060 12gb ram:Corsair vengeance 32gb (2x16gb) psu:Corsair 80+ gold certified 850w Side note:I have an older 1070 I had before that all I do is put into the pcie slot and plug in and the system works perfectly fine. I already updated the bios, all the drivers, I’ve tried reseating the ram changing the battery in the mother board, resetting the cmos, checking monitor and hdmi cable and even completely taking apart and rebuilding and securing connections in the computer.

I am looking to buy a new laptop currently looking at Zephyrus G15(2022) Ryzen 6800HS RTX3060 16GB RAM 1TB SSD WQHD 165Hz . Reading that it has some heating issues , Keyboard issues and Performance issue. Is this the best at this price range or can someone suggest other options ? Is the Legion 5 (2021) with Ryzen 5800H 3060 16GB WQHD 165Hz a good alternative ? This is also a bit cheaper.

Hello, I am consider to get one of these above 2nd hand GPU with the budget I had. I am not very knowledgeable about GPU. So one of my concern is that, 3060 has 3 fans and 3060ti has 2 fans (heat concern where I live is a bit hot) and another one is I heard something about Asus model only 8pins so power limit somethings? I dont intent to overclock or anything. I just want a GPU good enough to run games/VR at 1080p always above 60fps like: Atomic heart, God of War, Half life Alynx, Lone Echo 2, etc. So which one and why? How long do you think the GPU will good enough for?

Hello i am new to the LTT forum. I have watched his video about the 4060 and i got mixed feelings for me im upgrading from a 1030 so i will take anything by now to replace this E-Waste ive seen the 4060 go head to head with the 3060 and im still strugulling the 3060 has a vram advantage and seems more future-proof. but for my gaming and rendering needs i feel the 4060 would better fit me also the 4060 is able to get 10-20 fps more than the 3060 on most games. Please leave your opinoins it would really help me in my desicion.

Hello everyone! I have had my trusty 2070 for about 4 years now, I'm not unhappy with it's performance and wasn't really looking to upgrade till it started having some thermal problems. I have already tried replacing the thermal pads and googling almost every fix possible but something seems to just be wrong with it and so I have decided just to let the poor thing die and get a new card. Been looking at 30 series cards but they all still seem pretty expensive here in the UK. The 4070 has caught my eye with DLSS 3.0 as well but the price is difficult to justify atm. My main question is would a cheap 3060ti be able to give me a little better performace or would I need to go higher than that for a 3070/80? Or am I best skipping the 30 series with its mental power draw and saving for a bit and going for the 4070? Tried doing my own research but it's all very conflicting and I just can't decide. I have a 3800x and 32gb RAM at 3200.

Hello, I have been experiencing frustrating stutters in games, and my FPS does not even drop. The issue is so severe that it even occurs in Roblox at times. By stuttering, I mean that my screen freezes, and I am unable to input any commands. Even when I do input a command, the action continues for a second, such as if I am walking, and it happens, I will continue to walk even when I am not clicking anything. It is incredibly frustrating. My PC specs include an RTX 3060, an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G processor, 16 GB of RAM, and Windows 10. I have tried numerous solutions, but the problem persists. Can someone please help me?

Hey all this is my first time posting on here. I've just installed a Gainward Ghost 3060 12gb into my system and any games requiring a decent spec crash on start with Resi 4 and Cyberpunk being the worst culprits. The games crash just before the title cards come up, this wasn't a problem with my old 6gb 2060. The rest of my machine contains a ryzen 3600, 16gb of Ballistix ram and a semi modular 550w TX550M Corsair psu. I've also got 2 ssds and one 2tb hdd hooked up. Resizable bar is enabled on the MB. I think it might the psu but when I've checked online everything points to it being fine for the gpu. Massive thanks to anyone who can help

I might just be too head deep in looking around and trying to compare cards at this point that I'd appreciate some help/advice. My situation is that I'm playing to get a Bigscreen Beyond VR headset and my current graphics card (GTX 1080 Ti) is too old as it doesn't have DSC. So I've been looking into newer 3000 and 4000 RTX cards. For VRAM I know I'm looking at at minimum 10GB, as 8GB just doesn't cut it these days. Here's my current spec for context: Current Parts: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8core ~3.8GHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti 11GB VRAM, 8GB Shared memory RAM: 8x2 DDR4 Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming (no wifi) PSU: EVGA 650 GQ 80+ Gold Currently my 1080 Ti is able to keep up surprisingly well with my current VR headset, the Valve Index (1440x1600 per eye at up to 144Hz). games such as Half-Life: Alyx, VRChat, Boneworks, Skyrim VR, and Into the Radius all run at, at worst acceptably, and usually/best without a problem, with only the occasional classic VRChat lag experience here or there. The only reason why I am getting a new card is due to the hardware constraint of the 1000 series cards not supporting DSC(Display Stream Compression). Hopefully if everything doesn't go terribly wrong I'll be able to resell the 1080 Ti to make up for some costs. But that's beside the point. Question 1: I have searched for so many places to find reliable GPU comparison places. All that I have been able to find before I just got burnt out has been the advice that userbenchmark.com is not to be trusted. Which is half of an answer, if there isn't a site to be trusted, is there one that is at least somewhat useful? Or am I better off going to forums like here to get help and feedback? Which brings me to my second question. Question 2: MSI's RTX 3060 Ventus 3x 12GB GPU (newegg link) has caught my eye because of the 12GB of VRAM and the starting price of $300 USD new. I've checked and my PSU is compatible with the card, I am slightly unsure on the PCI Express 4.0 spec of the GPU when compared to the motherboard which when you look at the specs on Asus's website or its Amazon page (the exact page I ordered it from at the time) I believe that the top PCI slot (in sliver) is compatible at 4.0. But I have heard mixed messages on its performance in VR. Especially when factoring in the spec of the Beyond headset (5120x2560 per eye at up to 90Hz), would this 3060 be able to keep up with the headset and the games I'll be using for it? I have been also looking around the 3080 Ti series level as well since I've heard that line get decent praise, but at over twice the price (newegg link with a sweaty amount of filters applied) of the 3060's I'm finding, these 3080 Ti's are starting lowest at $730 USD, refurbished at that. I am very open to other cards that people suggest, I however would prefer to stay with an Nvidia card for the sake of better compatibility with VR headsets and less niche troubleshooting. tl;dr: Question 1: Any good sites to compare GPU's? Or is here/reddit better? Question 2: Would the RTX 3060 12GB be powerful enough to do VR with a Bigscreen Beyond VR headset? Would the 3080 Ti be better, even when factoring in the +2x price jump? I am very open to other card suggestions as well, although I would prefer to stay with Nvidia for compatibility reasons with the Index and Beyond headsets.

Hi, this is my first time posting here, and i am in need of a few opinions. So basically, i currently have the ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 8GB, and my friend is selling his Zotac RTX 3060 12GB. I was thinking about buying it. I would like to know if its worth switching to the RTX 3060. I saw a few benchmarks on youtube comparing it and it seems there is a slight FPS difference. I mainly play F1 22, CSGO, Warzone, and occasionally RUST with a 27" 1080p monitor. Your opinions would be very much appreciated, should i switch to the RTX 3060 or stay on the GTX 1080?

Pretty much just the title, I have been on with Epic Support, and they have come back with a big fat "Not our problem". It started a few months back and is almost instantaneous. It can be on the menu, loading screen, or in game. Temps never get too high, but they don't get the chance to. I use other games, Blender, Premiere, etc and none of them have an issue like this. I've added screenshots of the two error messages it gives me if that helps. Basically, my question is whether this is software, or whether my card is dead? Thanks for any help!!

So basically as of now i have a Ryzen 5 3600 with a 1660 super. and a PSU of 500 W. And i was wondering if the 500 Watt PSU would be enough for a 3060

Nvidia announced that the 3060 and future gaming GPUs will be artificially worsened to mining (meaning mining will be very inefficient on gaming GPUs) through the drivers and firmware. By locking future gaming GPUs, that means miners won't buy them anymore and that miners will buy the mining cards instead. So overall demand for the gaming GPUs will decrease, isnt that a good thing for gamers? Now I've watched linus' latest video but mainly he said that silicon is limited and that they will produce less gaming cards, but that wont be a problem because demand will go WAY down because of what i said earlier. This is ofc ignoring that gamers wont be able to buy cards which were used for mining, and ignoring the effect it has on the environment. I'm looking at this from a first-hand consumerist POV.

Hi! So basically, I was very lucky on the launch of the RTX 3060 and managed to purchase two cards, one for me and one for my Brother. He basically doesn't want it anymore so we're going to return one, I want to keep the best one. My question is, which one, based on a performance and overclocking ability standpoint? The cards in question are the EVGA RTX 3060 XC Gaming and the MSI RTX 3060 Gaming X. The EVGA card says it has a boost clock of 1882MHz, whereas, the MSI one says 1837MHz. I'm confused as to how factory overclocks work, are all cards capable of boosting to higher levels and the factory overclock is just as high as they wanted to push it? Does it automatically run at the factory boost clock speed if it has one? How much more performance can you get if you continue to oc it? I'm just confused between these two cards and which is better/has a higher ceiling to be able to be overclocked to, as the EVGA card is smaller and only has one 8 pin power connector and the MSI card is larger and has an 8 pin and a 6 pin power connector, which makes me think that the MSI card could draw more power and be able to cool better for greater performance due to it being larger and probably having a larger heatsink. However, the EVGA one looks better on paper with the factory boost oc. The MSI one is also more expensive on every retailer that I can find. Additionally, BitWit on Youtube was able to get over 2000MHz on an EVGA RTX 3060 XC Black that he manually overclocked, which is a worse card, would the other EVGA card and the MSI card be able to be manually overclocked to higher levels than that card? The only difference that I can see with the Black version is a lower boost clock of 1777MHz. I hope someone can help clear up some of my confusion and help me decide on which card to keep as I want to keep the card that will give me the best overall potential performance if I overclock. Hello community, I'm planning to buy a 3060 12gb maybe next year due to the shortage, but I don't know if I should upgrade my cpu too in order not to bottleneck it. I have a 1080p 144hz monitor and getting a 1440p is out of the question since I live in a very expensive country (Uruguay btw). As the title says, I have an 8400, in a Z370 Asus Prime Z370A cooled with a Cryorig H7. Since a an 8400 bottlenecks a 1080 ti at 1080p, I don't know if I should upgrade to a 9700k for the 3060 especially if said cpu costs 300 usd right now in several US stores. I don't want to run the cpu at 100 cpu everytime a run a cpu bound game but I also don't want to spend in "unnecesary" components.

Title of the post should be self explanatory. I just got home from work, updated my driver to the latest stable build v461.92, and everything seemed fine. I launched a game and the second that the GPU was being used (not even in game yet, just title screen) the fans ramped up like it was about to thermal throttle. The second I minimize or close the game, the fans turn off and my rig is silent. Any ideas? What did that driver do to my GPU??

I've had my eyes on the newer Asus 3060 laptops for some time now mainly cuz they all come with 90kwh batteries. Could really use an upgrade from my aging laptop from 2017 but I can't seem to find any of the asus 3060 laptops anywhere except for the zephyrus g14, which is out of my budget. I've checked almost every retailer I could find and none of them seem to be in stock or even listed. Anyone got any ideas when they'll be coming in or why?
