My fans of my graphic do not want to turn, I have disassembled and tested separately and if they work, it is a problem on her motherboard. I already tried with msi afterburner software to move the speed and they do not rotate. model nvidia 1660 super evga

I purchased a used cyberpower prebuilt with a i7 4790k, it surprisingly had 2 graphics cards; GeForce 1660 and a GeForce 1050ti. It has 2 sticks of 8g ddr3 ram as well. I've been noticing really poor performance when gaming. I decided to download nzxt's cam software to monitor the performance. And to my surprise no matter what game I'm playing im running at 90-100% cpu power and under 20% gpu power. I've checked all connections, and checked to make sure its only using the 1660 when I game. Theres no obscene amount of dust and fans are all working properly. Temps sit at a solid 60 degrees for both cpu and gpu. Still no idea whats giving me such horrible frame drops and all around bad performance.

Heyo i have a rather strange question. I have an existing build cpu: i7-4770k @4.2Ghz all core ram: 4x8gb ddr3-1600 kingston fury motherboard: asus z87-k gpu: asus strix 1070 ti psu: corsair cx600 loads of mixed hdds and ssds 2x1080p + 1x1680*1050 monitors htc vive for beat saber there is also a standby build from my bro who is away for a year or so(zen5 3600, b450, 2x8_3200, 1660, 500w_no80+ My question would be: If i install the standby1660 in the second pcie x16(x8 lanes) slot and use that as an output for my monitors can i dedicate the 1070 ti just for the vr? Will the cpu even be able to work with so much stuff at the same time? If not can a ryzen 5 3600 handle it on a b450m pro4-f? The integrated graphics do not work for some reason only when there is no dedicated gpu so i am unable to use that. If i can use the two gpus is there a trick to it or they can function on the same driver version? Thank you very much for the help Dave

Budget (including currency): Around 1,000 USD (25,000 MXN) Country: Mexico Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: PC Gaming: From Esports (Rocket League, LoL, etc.) to some AAA games (Horizon Zero, Nier: Automata, TW3) Emulation: anything from GBA to Nintendo Switch. Video editing and audio pruduction: I'd like to do some light animation, video editing and produce a podcast i already have a mic for as a hobby. Other details This PC would be my main device for some time although i've pictured it as a couch gaming and emulation system over time, with it's biggest workload demand being the next couple years until i get something better. As such i still have doubts about whether or not the selected CPU and GPU would hold themselves as a video editing machine and eventually as a decent enough system for couch gaming and emulation with an upcoming 4k TV that i would hopefully buy next year. Prices in Mexico SUCK, so, for instance, a GTX 1660 is about 490 USD and a 1660ti costs 630 USD for like 10 fps more, so I would honestly buy whatever meets my expectations regardless of brand or model as far as it delivers enough performance to do the aforementioned stuff. Components: CPU: i3 10100f (currently less than 100 USD here) GPU: 1660 - 2060 RAM: 16Gb of the fastest and cheapest I can buy Would this run games at high framerate in 1080p and 60 fps at 4k or should rethink it? Also, I'd be buying during black friday so i still have enough time to plan it.

Hello guys. I am in the thoughs of getting a ultra portable laptop for work and traveling etc.. Have been looking into the used market on ASUS Zephyrus G14, with 1650 or 1660 gpu. I see that the prices on the used marked for these in norway is between 6000-8000NOK, is still a good laptop in 21 ? Light gaming, writing and movies. Not into 15.6" because of traveling the the weight of it. And a new Zephyrus is twice the price of a used one. What do you guys think about it ? Any ideas ?

Hey guys! I'm having issues with my secondary GPU. These are my specs: MOBO: ASRock A320M-HD (updated to 6.20) CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600 AF RAM: HyperX 16gb 2666mhz (single) GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Storage: 1 500gb HD, 1 120gb SSD, 1 240gb SSD. I'm trying to do a little bit of mining with the small rig I have. I got a GTX 1660 Super to use the maximum capability of mining my MOBO can offer. The issue is that no matter what I try, I can't get my Windows to recognize the 1660. The 3060 is the primary on a PCIe x16 gen3 and the 1660 is on the riser (x16 to x1 through usb 3.0) conected to a PCIe x1 gen2. It doens't show up on device manager even after showing hidden devices. I updated my bios and messed around in the configurations of bandwitch and speeds and nothing seems to change. PS.: The 1660 worked fine as the primary on the x16 and the riser was working previously. PS².: I'm aware that my system is not optimal for gaming, as it lacks a more powerful processor to avoid bottleneck and a second RAM stick for better performance. At this moment this build is perfect for me and will be upgraded in the near future. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello, was wondering could anyone tell me if perhaps there is something wrong with my graphics card or not. I currently have an Asus Zephyrus Ga502D with the gtx 1660 ti max q. And have been experiencing lag/fr drops to the point of unplayablity. Like, even with POE Deadfire!!! But lately I’ve tried over clocking, but don’t really know what I’m doing besides the fact that you can’t adjust voltage or anything on the Max Q series , just the core clock and the other. So I don’t mess with it. Well, a little, with Heaven I’m getting no problems. But then I tried Dark Pictures plague tale innocence and experienced lag/drops....playable but still. And what’s weird is, the game(s) automatically adjust to ALL ULTRA settings, and I’ve heard ppl play with this card with no issues...where is the card located on the body, bc I also have a fan clicking/whirring a bit on the right side the more I switch it to, like performance mode ...I’m just disheartened bc this was a rental and I’ve paid it off but it actually cost ME twice as much... should I send it back(still under warranty) thanks

Hello, so I am planning to buy a Geforce GTX1660 super but I see different brands like EVGA 1660, MSI 1660 or ROG 1660 and other more. Is the performance of the 1660 still the same or does it vary from brand to brand?

Hi everyone! I am in the market for a new GPU and I really like the look of the GALAX/KFA2 RTX 2060 mini white as well as the GTX 1660 white from them. I can't find any of these cards anywhere expect for the GALAX/KFA2 official store, and even there, the 2060 is out of stock and they don't even sell the 1660. Even with these challenges I would still love to get my hands on one of these cards, preferably the 1660 model. If anyone has any idea where I could get them, please help! Thanks! (I live in the US and it is called GALAX here, and I believe in some other countries they are named KFA2) And if anyone has any other ideas on a good card that looks pretty similar, (budget of around $350) please fell free to suggest it!

When I built my PC, as graphics cards were and still sort of are very hard to get, I decided I'd temporarily live on integrated graphics. But as graphics cards slowly return to the shelves and decrease in price I'm thinking about buying one soon. Presuming both options are always at MSRP, and the amount I can spend is capped at £250 ($326.68 USD, $411.96 CAD), would I be better off getting a GTX 1660 Super or an RTX 3050? Or could I even wait for a better option? Though I assume my other specs won't notably, if at all, affect what I can get out of either card, here are my specs anyway: Ryzen 5 5600G 16GB DDR4-3000 (8x2) (In retrospect I should've gotten 3200 or 3600 but whatever) Corsair CX550F RGB power supply, which I can upgrade if necessary Corsair MP510 PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 SSD Gigabyte A520 Aorus Elite ATX Motherboard (Card size isn't a concern)

Hey everyone! I was planning on getting a new GPU and I was looking for some opinions since I can not decide. I am really trying to find a great card for a decent price since my budget is not crazy. My current rig is a Ryzen 5 3600x 16GB DDR4 Corsair vengeance, 1050ti, and a Corsair 500w power supply. I am mostly looking just to play average games like Overwatch, Elden Ring, and Valorant with and decent frame rate, nothing too crazy. I was looking at the RTX 3050 since the card seems fairly priced with good performance. However, I heard people saying 1660 was a good card for cheap, as well as the 2060 super, but 2060 seemed to be the most expensive out of them all. I am just looking for some advice, anything helps!

Hi, I have a GTX 1660 Asus pheonix edition. The temps are pretty high (over 90 degrees C) when stress testing. I have ordered new heat pads for the VRAM and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut for the chip. When I opened it up there was barely any thermal paste on the chip and it had also dried out. Is there any other things I can do to improve temps. I run the fans at 85 using MSI afterburner but anymore that that and it is extremely loud. Could I buy an aftermarker cooler, A new fan, new heatsinks, etc. So I can get better temps. I bought this GPU when the gpu price was extremely high (2021) and you could not buy them anywhere. This was the only new GPU I could find for 600AUD and having a look now they have gone down to about 300AUD.

Hi i have build my own computer for some years ago (and are slowly uppgrading my pc) and are rocking: A gtx 1660 6gb with a i5 7600k, an 240gb ssd and an old side by storage hardrive. Olso have 16 gb of ram with a extra card(gtx 1050 2gb )for my athor screen. My mother board is an MSI z270 sli plus. Here is the thing. Why can't i play games like PUBG with somewhat acceptable fps. One seckond i have 100 fps (in pubg on lowes settings) and then it drops to 50 fps. This isent really what an 1660 should do if i have checked other bencmarks correctly. Can somebodey help me pleace. Have i chosen wrong graphics card when i upgraded it?, or do i need to uppgrade the cpu. Or is it somehing else? I am by the way, planing to by an uppgrade pakage with eather r5 3600, or r5 3600x, or i5 9600k, or i5 10600k. Do these work for high fps? And if someone know, then i olso need to say that i am a little bit of an fps hungry person..

Hi, I have a PC that has a And A10 5800k and 8 gb of ram. I do a little bit of gaming and want to know if I should upgrade to a 1660? I know it will bottle neck but I really don't care if I do not get the full performance from the GPU. I want to to play games like overwatch, gta, or even Skyrim. Should I upgrade or wait till I get a new motherboard and processor?
