I've been struggling for months with mouse and keyboard lag every time I'm trying to do something GPU or CPU demanding. Tried everything and nothing worked, but thanks to some guy on facebook I found solution to my problem! I made this post as i think it might help someone. SOLUTION: (1). Open device management (2). Expand USB-drivers (3). Right click USB main hub (4). Select properties (5). Open power management tab (6). Uncheck "Allow your computer to save power by turning off this device" (7). Repeat on every USB-hub you have on USB-drivers list That worked for me! Also my windows is not in English so apologizes on rough translates.

I own an Ideapad 330, 15, and have been facing certain issues with it. It has function utility keys (f8) to turn of and turn on the Camera, and (f4) to turn on and turn off the microphone. Since more than 2 months, these keys don't function. I have kept all things updated, yet they never seem to work. Is this caused by me or a software error? It has a synaptics touchpad, and after a recent driver update, i've lost the ability to pinch to zoom. The hardware is not damaged at all. Kindly suggest a fix for this. The display in one place is struck to a white color, and in white backgrounds is even visible, kindly suggest a fix for this.

For macOS, there's a great app called AppCleaner that also removes all the associated files for an app when you move the main software file to the trash. I'm new to Windows, and I guess that Windows doesn't automatically delete all traces of an app when you click "Uninstall" from the Windows Start Menu. How do I easily and completely remove a program from Windows?

Hey, I currently have a motherboard with one ethernet port and two additional network ethernet cards. I'm wondering if there's a way to make it so I can run one cable from my router and into my motherboard, then use one cable from one of the adapters to my ps4 and the other adapter to my wifi extender. I'm running windows 10. Is this even possible? I've tried the bridging in windows 10 but its really confusing to me and it seems like I can bridge from my computer to my ps4 but then I lose connection on my pc. Does anyone have a solution to this? Ethernet MOBO = the port on my motherboard Ethernet ext = the ethernet card that goes into my extender Ethernet console = the ethernet card that goes to my ps4.

Hi! I have been having some pretty nasty problems with windows lately, as the title suggests windows keeps getting corrupted seemingly out of nowhere and unfortunately, the solutions from windows forums did not work at all. The copy of windows I'm using is downloaded and extracted on a USB by the windows media creation tool ( I also tried Rufus) so pretty sure it's a legit copy of win10. The thing that baffles me is that after a couple of restarts or days, windows will boot into recovery mode and attempt automatic repair to no avail, and will not boot anymore. I have tried to collect data, when it starts to go bad windows defender dies, sfc and dism.exe refuse to work, media shortcuts on the keyboard cause windows to crash, event viewer has absolutely no events to report, and attempting to get a log file of what is happening is impossible. I tried a complete format of all the drives I have, getting a different win10 iso, I even tried to mirror the hdd I have in my laptop to the ssds in my desktop but the issue happens again, I checked the integrity of the drives and they all seem fine( installed windows on all of them once at a time to no avail), and frankly I'm afraid to use the hdd in my laptop because I need it for uni. I apologize for no log files or anything but I have tried everything to get them someway or another but nothing worked.

Got my first nvme drive after finally getting the SMART messages about my SSD needing to be replaced. I am running into a problem with it. The bios and the installer can see the drive. When I hit next to start the install, it says it can’t find the partitions that it just made prior to that. I’ve also tried going into advanced and creating the gpt partitions from command line using Diskpart and it still says it cannot be found. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with my motherboard, nvme, Windows 10 (2004) issue or something else. I’m out of ideas. Anyone else run into this? motherboard: ASUS Maximus Hero IX Nvme: Samsung 970 EVO

Hi guys, I googled a lot about this issue and could not find any fix that worked for me so I thought that maybe the good old LTT forums might be handy. As the title says I can't type neither when I open the startmenu or the search bar. I am on W10 Pro 1909 for a while now (updates deactivated) and this started today out of nowhere. No idea what to do, googled and nothing that came up helped me, EDIT: I added and then removed an extra language and after that it started working again, no idea what the hell affects it

Hello everyone, so I am very new to owning a PC in the windows realm. I have only owned Apple computers and never really did anything tech related. I bought the NZXT streaming PC a few months ago to get into PC gaming. However, recently I have been having problems with programs and windows tools not working, as well as programs telling me I didn't have the appropriate permissions. I may have gotten in over my head, but I tried to take ownership over all my C: Drive files, which was my first mistake. Later, I changed my user name in regedit which has also caused issues locating my account. Recently, my Xbox game bar app that comes with windows, is not working correctly so I attempted to uninstall it using PowerShell. After it was removed, I went to the windows store to reinstall it and I get an error saying that it wont install. So then I made a second account on the computer and the game bar works on that account. So I copied all of the Xbox app files from that account and tried to replace them with the ones in my account. Windows told me I don't have the required permissions to do that. So then I decided to "Create a system image" just in case I messed things up more. However, when I try to create a system image I get an error message saying "the backup application could not start due to an internal error" and it will not let me create the image. Moreover, I tried creating a restore point, but when I tried to restore to the restore point I created, windows tells me that it could not restore successfully. So I decided to do a full system restore of windows and delete all my files. However, after this was finished it still did not fix things. I feel as if the restore didn't not do what I thought it would do, even my desktop background stayed the same. At this point I don't know what to do. I know that was wordy, but all I want is to restore my PC and operating system like it was when I first got it. - restore all the ownership/security settings to default - restore all system files that windows uses so things like game bar work again - restore my username to the way it was Basically a fresh start. I was going to format the C/ drive, but the computer came with windows 10 already installed and I didnt want to lose that. Right now im at a loss of what to do and I would really appreciate any help. Lastly, feel free to educate me on the correct way to grant permissions to things when it tells me I need I dont have the correct permissions. Also feel free to send me anything that you feel is important information that new PC enthusiast should know and understand. I want to know what im doing and currently I feel overwhelmed and nervous that my PC wont work right anymore.

Hey, I have a couple if 2TB drives in my PC set up in raid 0, I have recently started copying a load of data off them onto my NAS. Now most has moved over ok, however there are a few folders that when I try and copy them the copy process comes to a halt and I start getting constant popups from RaidXpert2 saying: "Medium Error on controller 0 channel 1" When I view the log in RX2 it's just full of alternating of that error and this (the address changes everytime): "Informational: Block number low=0xd2ab47e0, high=0x0" I tried running a scan in RX2 (this was a week ago, left it to go when I went away) and I see "Yes" under the scan column next to the array. However no sign of a result from it. Is any data that is causing this to happen a lost cause?

So I have a remote linux server running ubuntu 20.04, and the only way I can access it is via ssh or VNC. I want to install windows on this server because there are several windows applications that I need to run which aren't working with wine. I know how to get the windows install process started using wine on ubuntu, but after after the computer reboots into windows, I will lose all ability to access the machine via ssh or vnc. My question is, is there any way to circumvent this or add an install script to the windows installer so that VNC is automatically installed and set up upon boot?

So, recently i updated my windows to version 2004, after this update i noticed that when i start my pc my explorer.exe somehow just keeps restarting. after a small investigation in my task manager i found out that wsappx was using a lot of cpu. I then ended the task for wsappx to see what would happen and suprisingly everything went back to normal and i could use my pc normally again. But this happens every time i start my computer and i have no clue what is causing it, It seems that wsappx is used for the windows store but i have no idea why it's doing that. So if anyone has a clue what might cause this or how to fix it then please respond. thanks

Hi people, I'm planning to buy a 1TB NVMe for Both C drive and Projects.. Does 300-400GB would be enough for C drive space? Besides windows 10 pro 64 bit I'll install all my softwares like Cubase Pro; Adobe Premiere pro, After effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrations; DaVinci Resolve; Blender and All plugins for both Music and Video production! I will use another SSD for Cache files! and another for sound library and samples! Regarding my budget.. I only have 2 options.. Crucial P1 or Gigabyte 1 TB m.2 NVMe! Please help me out on this! Thanks in advance!

I have been having a lot of trouble getting Spellbreak to work on my PC. I know that it just released about 4 days ago, but I still hate having the game crash constantly and not being able to play with people because of it. I have tried several things, running the game and epic games launcher (im going to use EGL for short) in admin mode, disabling fullscreen enhancements, turning on compatibility mode, and more. I still havent found a fix. I know it just came out but if this is a local issue and not something fixable in a patch then id like to know how to fix it before it gets too far into development.

Hello everyone. I have this issue - there are artifacts on screen specifically in Windows 10. I've downloaded latest version from Microsoft site and just started the installation. I started seeing these weird glitches around windows logo and spinning dots. Trying to install the OS on the other mobo results in no glitches - but! As soon as the hard drive is installed back to the original mobo, glitches persist. Linux or Win7 don't have it, neither does BIOS. Please help if anyone knows what is the issue. Hi, So I currently have the asrock b450m pro4 with the ryzen 5 3600 installed. I've decided to upgrade my motherboard to the asrock b550m Steel Legend. If I am only planning to upgrade the motherboard should I be reinstalling windows? I know that it is best to do so but how necessary is it? Reinstalling windows will be very painful for me with all the files/applications I have on my main drive. What options do I have have? Appreciate any help.

I'm looking to set up a RAID 1 array to provide redundancy (not a back up I know). I'm currently using a legit educational copy of Windows 10. Am I able to create a software RAID1 array with this version of Windows?

Hello! A few weeks ago, I picked up an Emachines ps/2 mechanical keyboard from a thriftstore. I had no idea if it was going to work or not, but it was only $2. I had previously watched the Techquickie Ps/2 video on some advantages which pushed me to try it out. Plus it matched my sleeper Emachines monitor. So what I've discovered with this keyboard is that it's called an Emachines Model Number KB-9908, it has hot keys for internet mail, and search which works flawlessly with the windows apps. I can pull up the mail program, google chrome, and search bar at the bottom of windows taskbar or if i'm on a chrome tab, it will bring me to the chrome search bar. In gaming, that's where I discovered a small issue. The response time is great, but for some reason, the keyboard won't register shift+(any key) and specifically D-key for some reason. It gets annoying if I have to run in a game that requires me to press shift-W-D and I can't hold D at the same time as W, or any other key for that matter. When I try typing in a searchbar or so and try typing something holding shift-(any key)-and D, I get a beeping noise from my computer like it can't register the input. I hope this makes sense. Could this be a software issue? Or is this where my ps/2 mechanical keyboard cons and limitations come in? Other than this little problem, the keyboard's been great! Thanks

Hey guys, I recently installed a drive with an older version of Windows 10 in my system to get some files off of. I forgot to remove the drive and accessed my PC's BIOS today to check my settings, as you do. Something goes wrong and the PC refuses to boot, so I remove the CMOS battery to reset. I launch my PC, but for some reason it boots the old drive instead of my SSD and changes the drive letters of my original boot drive and itself. This is where I am stuck. I have removed the old drive and tried to set the boot order back to what it was. However, my SSD doesn't show up in the boot order. I've tried changing settings in the BIOS (like UEFI, Legacy and CSM), but to no avail. But I can force the BIOS to boot my SSD in the save changes menu. When I do this everything works properly and it seems to relabel all drives correctly. I have no idea what is going on, help would really be appreciated. If you need screenshots or anything, I will try and supply them. Cheers

When I used to have OSX years ago I used to utilize Space alot. One of the features I loved most about that was being able to launch specific programs into specific spaces. I utilize virtual desktops on windows a lot in conjunction with my 3 monitors. I was wondering if there was a way to get specific software to launch in a specific virtual desktop and specific location on the monitor.

Hi, I have tried fresh installing windows on my PC for a couple of weeks now, which i have done many times without any hassle. But when i try to install windows, this message pops up after choosing language saying "a media driver your computer needs i missing" and thus i cannot get a list of my drives so that i can choose which one to install windows on. Although since the last time i reinstalled windows was when i switched over to a single NVME drive, no other hardware changes. I have tried all the things i could find on google such as installing intel rapid storage drivers, changing usb port, both usb 3.0 and 2.0 and changing various settings in my bios, without any luck whatsoever. I have a feeling it's my usb flashdrive at this point, since i cannot figure out any other reasons as to why it shouldn't work. I have ordered a new usb drive, but i would like to hear if any of you have any input on the matter. My specs are: i9-9900k cpu 16gb 2666 mhz ram asus rog z390-f motherboard nvidia rtx 2070 super and a single 1tb m.2 nvme ssd

I recently built a new tower PC installed all the latest drivers with windows (which isn't activated yet) everything runs as it should be temps are also well within their limits, However I'm noticing a strange thing whenever I leave my PC in sleep mode for long time, like for more than 1 hour it doesn't wake up even after pressing power button, I can see CPU cooler fans turning on with their RGB but the motherboard RGB stays off & there is no signal to the monitor so I'm forced to hard reset the PC by long pressing the power button. This thing doesn't happen when I keep it in sleep mode for short duration. I tried googling this issue but couldn't find any similar issue. My PC spec are : AMD Ryzen 3700x (stock Wraith prism cooler), Gigabyte Aorus X570 elite, 8GB 3200mhz G.skill Ram * 2, Nvidia 1660ti, 750W PSU, 240GB M.2 nvme ssd, 1TB 7200rpm HDD, case NZXT H510

Hello! A neighbor of mine recently asked me to format her machine and reinstall windows 10. This is usually not a problem since it's just plugging in a USB and just follow the instructions. But not for this computer, it gets stuck on the windows 10 loading screen (there's the windows logo but the dots are not spinning) and I can no longer move forward. I've tried enabling UEFI, installing the 32bit version, doing a clear CMOS, installing trough hiren's, and just leaving it on (it's been over two hours now!). Also, I tried installing windows on the hard drive on another computer but instead of a windows logo the screen just turns on and off. The laptop is a Samsung NP RV420. I believe it may be a corrupt BIOS, but I can't find the update file.
