I recently got new Hard drives for my PC. I'm going to have to reinstall Windows 10 Pro and and deal with activation. My problem is that I have additional hardware coming but It won't arrive until mid-June, and I need to install the drives by next week for a work project I'm about to start. I can't wait to install The question is can I install the drives and Windows 10 now and then install the rest later without having issues with Win 10 activation?

Hii people.. I think I'm having some issues with my system... When I was exporting a 1080p video in Premiere Pro CC 2020, it was taking a little bit longer than I expected.. Well a 300 MB Video is taking almost 20 mins in Exporting...(with the setting of H.264 , YouTube 1080p HD preset, bit rate 16-40) Is it normal ? Also the timeline rendering was't that impressive maybe it's because of my GPU, I'm using Nvidia GeForce GT1030 2GB DDR5..(will upgrade this later) Please help me out.. I'm very new to video editing.. Thanks in advance!

update: I did a cinebench r20 run while also doing a heaven run and the pc didnt\'t crash but when I booted up Hearthstone the pc reset as it has been. Hello, My windows 10 pc restarts during games and other activities. The components are not being overworked as my CPU doesn't go above 70% usage during the crashes and my GPU doesn't go above 25%. The problem used to happen anytime I opened the start menu but now only happens during light CPU loads. It hasn't happened at idle at all. I've recently put windows onto an m.2 sata ssd but after the problems began I formated the drive and installed another fresh copy of windows. The pc has restarted during both cpu intensive games as well as gpu intensive games; Portal 2, Hearthstone, Rocket League. tl;dr PC restarts without any warning or blue screen of death The problem hasn't happened when in safe mode. The timing is inconsistent, sometimes right away other times not for over an hour. The windows install is fresh Only happens when the system has a cpu or gpu load already tried to reseat the ram and m.2 System specs: i5 8600k 5700 XT Gaming OC 32gigs of ram Corsair 750W PSU 120 gig kingston m.2 sata ssd (boot drive) Samsung Evo 500G 250G genaric HD https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvQTfv_bqBZCh4ViYtX8Mxn5IYylww?e=2JuCgW

Hello everyone! After the advent of the infamous Windows 10 (doesn't matter v1511 or v1607), IT problems and headaches have skyrocketed. Couple of times I heard Luke saying the annoyance of trying to benchmark machines with the instability of Windows 10. I have to say that it can get much worse when you have Active Directory. Our machines after join the Active Directory are now unbearable to login and use. Even when using software like DisableWinTracking, Spybot Anti-beacon etc, Microsoft services some times take almost 100% of disk and/or memory usage, and arround 90% (!!) of CPU usage most at login time and randomly during the day. Logins are much worst than boot times ( sometimes taking more than 5 minutes to release the desktop even after it is show to the user in a good day). You guys don't notice that much because (that's a guess) because Core i3 computer with 4Gb of ram and HDD (in the majority of the machines) are not that common outside Brazil (where I live). But, even with some Core i5 and i7 the situation is not good. We are doing some testing disabling more Windows 10 annoying service and scheduled tasks, which helped (using Download Destroy Windows 10 Spying recommended by Barnacules Nerdgasm helped very much). Doing tests two things came to our attention: The same machines that we tested with Windows 10 32bit performed so much better than with Windows 10 64bit, Of course we loose some RAM but the performance is like downgrading to Windows 7; In the IT department, more specifically the support team, we installed Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE) and we are using Windows 10 on virtual machines (VM). Which is impressive since even using Windows 10 64bit inside a VM with less available RAM the performance is better. How is your experience with this ... work of art of Microsoft?

Hello all. I built myself a new PC earlier this year (with a bit of help from this forum!). But lately, I've been having issues with my multiboot Windows 10 Pro setup. My PC's case has a sata dock, and I've installed Windows 10 Pro on both my internal SSD, and on another SSD I occasionally dock into my case when I need to boot into a different environment. For the longest time, when I wanted to boot into the external SSD, I'd just select the drive in my boot menu, and that drive's version of Windows would boot right up! Which is exactly what I was hoping for. The problems didn't start until after I installed the 1607 anniversary update on both drives. Now, if I boot into the external SSD, a new windows menu comes up that allows me to select a windows OS to start (also allows me to set defaults and such). Problem is, it's inconsistent. Sometimes, when I select an OS, it'll load it right up. Other times, it'll reboot, I have to select the desired boot drive AGAIN, and it loads up the proper OS without showing the menu. If I don't select the external, it'll boot into the internal drive automatically. I'd LIKE to get it back to where I just had to select the desired boot drive and have that OS load up. But I'd settle for simply not having my machine reboot when the OS has been selected in the Windows menu. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks for reading! System specs: CPU: Intel i7 6700k Ram: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Internal SSD: Samsung 500GB External SSD: Samsung 250GB Storage HDD: 3TB Western Digital

The laptop is old, I installed a Windows 10 Pro on it. Then I just checked it and it is activated. How is this happened? Is there something to do with her email account that she got an activation for free? Because I asked her and she said she does not do anything related to activating the OS.

I have got a UP2715K display from Dell and a PNY Quadro M2000. Unluckily I'm not able to achieve a 5K resolution on Windows 10 Pro, even if all the drivers are installed (and both the DP cables are connected). I've already checked both the cables and both works fine. Surfing the menus, I saw that in the NVidia control panel only one cable is detected, in the first DP connector (or port number 1, see the attached image). So I did try to unplug the 2nd cable, and the computer didn't even notice it. I did try to install other drivers version too but without success. (I hope the section is right... In case I'm wrong, excuse me)

Hey Guys This is my current computer rig. I'll definitely be seeking advice when I have the money to build a nice gaming rig. I've replaced everything in this from stock except the Optical Drives, Logic board, and Power supply. CPU: Dual Xeon X5482 @3.2 Ghz GPU: Gigabyte 1050Ti Windforce OC 4GB RAM: 32 GB ECC 800Mhz OS: Windows 10 Pro Fall Creators Update Boot Disk: Samsung 850Evo SSD 240GB Gaming Drives: 2 Silicon Power 120GB SSDs in raid0 running off 2 drive mounts in a pci slots. Storage Drives: 3 WD Green 500GB in drive bays also in raid0 for speed. Sata II is lame. Cinebench CPU: 671 Cinebench GPU: 55.4 FPS Keyboard/mouse: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016, and Razer Naga 2014. Mic: Audio-technica AT2020 USB Camera: Logitech C920 (so original) 2 of the original Optical Drives I use it for streaming/gaming and light editing currently. 60 FPS triple buffered in rise of the tomb raider on ultra settings benchmark is good enough and League of legends and CSGO run nearly 200FPS which is wasted on my screen since i'm gaming off a 60 hz 1080p Display. I also have a Mac Pro 1,1 and a 2011 iMac but the other pro sits in my closet and the imac is basically my tv now. Any tips for getting more performance out of what i have would be appreciated.

Greetings all. (Bits of this could belong in Troubleshooting, too.) For the past year and a half, since I built my most recent system, I ran it using a dual Win 10 boot setup. I have two 500GB SSD drives, one internal, that I use for my work, the other in a SATA 6gbps dock built into my case. (It's sort of a discipline thing, so I'm less tempted to game while doing work. When working, the game drive is disconnected.) The way I did this the first time, was to install Win10 on one SSD as normal, get it up to a baseline setup, then I cloned the drive, and just selected the drive I wanted to use as I booted. This was fine for over a year, but lately, the internal SSD (work one) has been getting lots of drive errors, every time I'd load up the gaming drive, it would complain that the work drive needed to be fixed, and my next boot to the work either wouldn't boot into windows, or would run chkdsk before doing so. Now that work drive won't boot into windows at all. It loads SOMETHING of Win10, as I see those spinning dots, indicating that Windows is loading, it just never moves past that point. Attempting a repair from an install USB does nothing. My first thought was that the SSD may be going bad, but I've run multiple diagnostics in multiple apps, and all say the drive is fine. I can get all my data off of it via the gaming drive (still works just fine!), so I'm ok with having to reinstall Windows, which brings me to my real question. (Though if you do know how I'd be able to reboot the work drive, I'd love to know!) Is there any way to run two Win10 installs on separate drives on the same machine and get them to play nicer with eachother than the way I did it the first time? I realize I had a lot leading up to that question, but I needed to provide some context. Thank you in advance for the help. ----------- PC Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 980 MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (Rev: 1.0) With latest firmware) Boot SSD: 2x Samsung 500GB SATA Storage HDD: Western Digital 3TB HDD Case: Corsair 650D OS: Windows 10 Pro

Hi, I thought somepne could shed some light on this issue that I'm having and hopefully provide some answers in assistance. I have an Alienware Steam Machine R1 it cost me 375 at Gamestop vs paying 900 for the Alpha. I wanted to have Windows 10 instead of SteamOS because I knew that most of my games dont support Linux. I disabled my Secure Boot in the BIOS and booted Windows 10 from a usb. The instal path I choose was Windows 10 Pro naturally and it was successful however it said that I needed to activate Windows 10. Now all my other PCs used the same bootable usb and had their Windows 10 Pro activated without issues. Did I do something wrong during the installation? Or was it my upgrade?

I wanted to upgrade a Windows 10 Home computer to Windows 10 Pro without re-installing the entire computer mainly so I can chose which updates to install which you can't do with the home version for some reason. grr I can get the Windows 10 Pro key to use just fine but I was wondering it their is any way to do it other than doing a fresh install and then restoring a backup from my NAS? Thank you for the help, Riley (The one 13 year old with a forum account).

Adobe softwares specifically Premiere pro and photoshop are crashing my whole windows giving "blue screen of death". Everytime i use warp stabilizer on a footage that need stabilizing will crash my whole windows sometimes able to restart it automatically sometimes i have to do that manually. I'm not very certain what triggered photoshop for crashing. But one thing that i did notice is that under my brush's color selection wheel, i have pixelation and not a perfect smooth circle. I obviously have licensed adobe and windows 10pro so it must not be a problem. Specs- Intel i9 9900x Asus prime x299 deluxe 2 Corsair vengeance c16 rgb pro 3000mhz 64gb ram Zotac rtx 2080 amp extreme oc 8gb I have already contactes Adobe, my case was serious so it got escalated to the highest level, they took remote access of my pc and after 6-8 days they made sure it's nothing wrong with their software, I talked to windows as well, they said the same. NVIDIA and Zotac are still looking into it. What do you think??
