Hello I purchased my ASUS vg248qe about 5 months ago. I had no issues with it until the last 2 months as I have slowly been getting more and more horizontal white lines across the screen. The first one was at the top of the screen but I now have three and one is right in the middle of the screen so it's starting to really annoy me even though its quite faint. These lines only occur when running at 144HZ. Turning to 60Hz solves the issue but ruins the point of the monitor! Does anyone know of a fix? I see that this monitor is very popular so I hope I'm not the only one with the issue! Thanks

PREAMBLE I always wanted to build a white and green themed PC, which was somewhat of a problem at the beginning due to the lack of white and green components and also low budget. But now I can finally tackle this problem. I won't talk much around this as you're probably more interested in some pictures and specs. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'll answer them as soon as I can. If there are enough questions coming up I'll add more information to the post. I still have to add the green dye and make some slight modifikations, but it is almost done! Excuse the bad picture quality - I'm just happy that I finally got there. Update January 19th 2018 New year - new build? Well, I bought a new case and so I managed to finally continue this wild roallercoster of a build. But this time I will actually post proper pictures of an actually green and white themed build - which will be hanging on a wall! And for one I'm not just making empty promises - the build is basically done! But for now I will only show you pictures of the case and fittings: Thermaltake Core P5 / AlphaCool HT 16mm Update January 27th 2018 The build is comepleted and got its own little place on one of my walls. Here are some pictures: This was one hell of a challenge, considering that it was my second hardline build ever. I'm not quite happy with some of the bends, the lighting and the fluid and might change a few things here and there. For everyone that thought about doing a hardline build I can only recommend to take your time! Performance on the other hand is great as you can probably imagine with all the open space and that massive radiator.

Greetings people ? Matias is here to gift you with a PC modding build log! The plan is to make an "elite version" of nzxt's h440, inspired by their elite version of the s340. I'm either going to make full size tempered Glass or acrylic window in the side, remove the HDD area and extend the PSU chamber. Since I can't start modding today, here are some pictures of my PC as it is now (before the mod). Specs: (Soon to be modded) NZXT h440 I7 6700K MSI GTX 980 ti ASUS STRIX z270e gaming Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 16 GB G.skill Trident Z RGB 128 GB generic Samsung SSD 1 TB Seagate hybrid laptop SSHD Be Quiet Pure Power L8 530w (Fun fact: that's the first and best powersupply I've ever bought! Every single other I've had has been worse in some way)

So my gf's computer is due for a new case as the current one is breaking. We discussed it over and what she wants is a windowed white tower (So far within budget we've found a couple options, NZXT phantom 240, inwin 503, Deepcool tesseract, but if you have suggestions to add to that, that'd be cool. We're looking in the under $100AU range). But here's the real problem: she wants RGB lighting, but with the intention of having it set to pink for a lot of the time, but if she tires of it she can always swap the colours around. Before I go into more detail, I'd like to state : I have never done anything RGB before, My immediate thought was the Corsair RGB fans, HD120 or SP120. But when I researched, pink didn't appear to be in their colour list. So I googled around for more RGB fans, and all I could find was like RGB "rings" on fans, as opposed to the blades being lit. In addition to that I'd want to know the deal with RGB controllers with Fans and LED's. So if we went with a corsair HD120 kit, it gives us a controller and a hub and some extensions which seem like you can just hook that onto a LED strip. is that only compatable with a corsair LED strip or could I put that onto a Deepcool one? (as I can get corsair for $35 and Deepcool for $19). Her current MoBo I don't think has RGB headers (Gigabyte H170 HD3). The ideal situation would be we can get the whole setup for under $200AU, I think the only compromise I can come up with is getting the NZXT phantom which I believe comes with white fans, chuck in a pair of deepcool LED strips (which do appear to have a pink option). but I'd really not have to settle and actually find some RGB fans that would do the trick. Preferably the whole rig being able to use the same controller or UI. TL;DR: Do you guys know of any RGB fans that can do pink? Any RGB fans aside from Corsair? Or can you get corsair fans to go pink? Thanks! Sorry for going overboard with the explanation, it's my first time looking into RGB and I just don't want to make any purchasing mistakes.

So I saw LTT has the Corsair C70 in White from their latest CPU video. (0:06) Is LTT willing to sell me that case or anyone here in the forums have one they are willing to sell? They discontinued the case and it's nearly impossible to find. Cheers in advance. Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, I literately signed up just now to ask this.

Disclaimer: I do not currently intend to build this PC. The purpose of this thread is equal parts curiosity and recreation- I think it'll be fun, and am interested to see the results of such an unusual colour scheme. Greetings, all. I've always been intrigued by the prospect of a Noctua-themed build. While this appears to have been realized by several builders through custom-loop watercooling and heavy case-modding, I was wondering what users on the Linus Tech tips forum could come up with using off-the-shelf components found on PCPartPicker, or other parts that are not listed there. This does not include the aforementioned custom loops, although aftermarket power cables are permitted with links). This is not just to create a challenge, but also in order to make such a build accessible to neophyte builders and people who are not interested in heavy customization. I'm also one of the odd few who really likes the Noctua colours of cream and brown, and given the opportunity, there's a possibility that I'll use the parts lists in this thread to put one together in the future. Obviously, the primary focus of this challenge is the aesthetic, although needless to say the PC should be at least capable of running the latest triple-A titles at 1080p. Price to performance is not a criterion, and neither is the budget. However, I would like to emphasize that valid purchasing links should be provided for all listed parts. Third-party sellers on websites like Amazon are also acceptable. I'd like to personally invite @deXxterlab97, @Energycore, @BingoFishy, @WoodenMarker, and @Starelementpoke to participate. I'm also going to try to put something together, but I don't have a lot of good ideas for this as of now. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with. Regards, Aereldor.

Im using a pure white bedsheet as a background for my music videos, (Im on a budget) and the sheet itself has creases and folds in it that create shadows from the lights above. And tips for kinda removing those shadows and making it look pure white in editing? specifically in Vegas Pro 14? I know simply ironing the sheet could work too, but I want the knowledge for future video editing as well. If it matters, Im recording in 720p 30fps.

Here is the finished (for now) build with the new tempered glass s340 matte white and black case. The case looks gorgeous and tempered glass makes everything really pop. Used TF 120 Deep Cool white LED Fans and the DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 120EX WHITE CPU Liquid Cooler along with white LED magnetic lighting. Going to get some custom Vinyl covers for the SSD and glass along with some Imperial themed fan covers as well. Eventually will add white LED DDR4 ram, and 2 more SSD's with vinyl decals as well but for now can't argue with the results. Hey, I'm looking for a stylish yet functional white mid-tower chassis. Any suggestions? A few I have looked at include the Define R5, NZXT S340, Corsair Clear 400C and the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX. So far the Phanteks Evolv is my favourite, however it's more of a silver and it's rather large for a mid-tower, and not to mention the price tag. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I have recently started visiting LAN events within the UK and I am really starting to enjoy visiting them! However, my only gripe is that I have to travel with my fairly large and heavy PC all the way there and around the event etc. Anyway, I have recently got some funds together and I would like to build a Mini ITX build for these events so that I have a dedicated LAN PC. This will mean that I can just leave my "Home" PC at home and my "LAN" PC can be used at LAN events! Requirements; Max budget of £1000 GBP (I do not need peripherals or Monitor). I will probably be buying a couple of parts per month so a few £££ over the £1k budget wont harm i'm sure. White and Black colour scheme although i'd prefer more white than Black if possible. (Case should definitely be white) I tend to play games such as Overwatch, CS:GO, Apex Legends and other "LAN" type games so it should be able to easily run those with potentially some headroom for things such as Battlefield V, GTA V etc. Should have some RGB such as the RAM and Fans at least (personal preference i guess) It can be either Intel or AMD, whatever you want to suggest, go for it! Should be AIO watercooled. I am up to suggestions based on your knowledge and expertise! If you have the time to build me a full PC on PcPartPicker please do, or if you only have time to suggest a couple of parts please do as well. I will appreciate all the help I can get. I just do not want to rush into this build without getting some opinions from you guys first! If you dont take up the whole budget thats obviously okay. Im not going to complain about having money left over but its there to be spent if needs be! My current specs are in the signature below if you wanna see what my current build looks like (I kinda like corsair ;) ) Thanks for your time and i'll keep you all updated as to what I end up building! If you need any further information please ask! Thanks! Jacob

Hey LTT Forums! Looking for some help and ideas considering my build for my next PC that I'm going to be building this month. The goal is to do a "White" Build, I am having trouble choosing a motherboard to match this build. I still haven't decided to go AMD or Intel, I love the new 3000 series from AMD but have always gone with Intel in the past. I plan on mostly gaming/streaming with editing as a side hobby. I want the computer to be able to do it all, price isn't too much of a concern. I just feel overwhelmed at choosing motherboards and it doesn't seem like manufacturers really make them White anymore. I have considered painting it white as an option but would need a helpful guide before I did it on my own. Willing to take suggestions on other parts as well! Hey I was looking for a new case for my pc and I had settled on the inwin 101 cause I like the look but I’m not sure if I should get white or black. I’ve never done a white build before and it might look cool but everything else in my pc and in my setup is black so it wouldn’t match. I’m just wondering if someone with more experience could give an opinion on what to do. Thanks

TLDR - I'm looking for the PC case equivalent of a minimalist Scandinavian fridge. I'm looking for a very aesthetically simple and silent case to replace the relatively loud, glassy case that came with my CyberPowerPC (it was a good deal alright don't judge lol). I'm a recording musician trying to serve a white/wood aesthetic in my room while having a PC that's as quiet as I can possibly get it. The Fractal Define R6 is so close to what I want, but the black front panel seems like a giant tramp-stamp on the aesthetic that I'm going for. If I could have it my way, I would purchase the white, non-windowed Define R5, but this seems very hard to come by aside from the occasional Polish ebay listing. There is a "GameMax" Silent White Gaming Case that fits the bill for me essentially perfectly, but it seems like primarily a European product and I can't really find anywhere in the US who sells it (ideally not trying to pay $100 for shipping). I feel like I'm stuck and at the will of a new release by a case manufacturer, but I wonder if I'm just not looking in the right places. Any ideas on where to look or what to pursue?

building Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic White Planning
TheShadow208 posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello all! My build is currently built around the white version of the PC-011 Dynamic, and it looks okay. There are some elements that I will have to keep like my motherboard and mayyybe GPU. But I'm up for suggestions! I currently have a i7-7740x, 16gb of corsair vengeance LED at 3000mhz, a MSI rtx 2070 Duke OC and a 250GB samsung 970 Evo ssd I really love the white and silver aesthetic of the case and I want to carry that through out the build. PS: If anyone knows why my RGB on the top heatsync on my MOBO isn't working, please let me know. its a EVGA X299 FTW K -
Hey guys, I decided I'd make this topic so I could talk about my custom work on my Razer peripherals, and hopefully get some feedback on how to approach certain parts of this mod. My idea is to merge the original black colours of the razer gear, and replace parts or do some custom work on making things white. I'm using: -Razer Hunstman Elite -Razer Tartarus V2 -Razer Naga Trinity -Razer Goliathus Chroma (Extended Version) Right now I'm just starting this mod out. The to do list is pretty big, and if everyone could help out where they can I'd appreciate it. To Do: Find white keycaps matching the hunstman elite's layout (some of the keys are smaller or in weird positions to traditional 104 key keyboards) Find white keycaps for a mecha-membrane keypad (if anyone has any idea where to find these please let me know) Dye the leather wrist rests on the hunstman elite and the tartarus v2 (If anyone has any tips on how to do this, or what leather dye to use please let me know) Dye the microfiber cloth on the goliathus pro (if anyone has any info at all on this please let me know) Find some kind of custom idea for the naga trinity to make it at least partially white without it looking tacky (suggestions more than welcome)

Hi, I'm using a Razer Hunstman Elite keyboard, and I've revently been on the hunt for white keycaps that fit the keyboard. does anyone know where I could get my hands on either a full set of white keycaps that'd fit this keyboard? Even if you know of a listing on ebay selling a couple of keycaps that fit would be a huge help.

Are there any all-white AM4 motherboard that are Micro ATX that are still available? All of the ones I have seen are Intel coffee lake, or the AMD ones are not available any more. The only place I can find them are amazon in different European countries. Thoughts Please? Just trying to find a white motherboard to fit my Corsair 280X.
