I have recently bought a GTX 1050 and i thought maybe i could use it on my VGA display monitor. However every time a open a game, a black screen appears along with a pop up saying Input Not Supported. My Monitors native resolution is 1366x768. My desktop runs absolutely fine. How do i set my maximum resolution as my native resolution. Since i am using an HDMI to VGA connector, it automatically optimizes my games to 1080p. GeForce Experience can only support a few games. I want a permanent solution to this problem. Anyone please any suggestions?

Specs FX-8320 Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 mobo 1x8GB DDR3 1866 RAM 600B EVGA PSU Asus AMD RX 460 1TB Toshiba 2.5" HDD So I can finally boot up my computer and one thing goes to crap after I solve the last :DDD My 460 is connected to a DVI-D to VGA Adapter and after I install the drivers and boot, I get the "Starting Windows" screen and then my monitor resets to the "No Signal" screen (Color testing/Logo for some I believe). I noticed that if I boot in safe mode, I can use my computer somewhat and then I'm flashed with a error message from AMD saying that the card's drivers are not working, so I reinstalled and even tried older drivers from the ASUS site (I have no CD Drive in my case HUHUHU PUNS). I completely uninstalled everything correlating to my GPU since I don't know what to do. +1 if u cri wen u red dis help = succ

So recently i went to get my GameCube from out of the dust. I would love to get it to work on my monitor through its VGA-input. I have the component cables (white, red and yellow) and i already have a thingy that i can put the red and black in (the audio cables). My only need now is how i can get the yellow one in my VGA-port. I already watched this guide (I need to do this stuff to the cable). My question is: does this work? Also I´d rather not do this and get a converter instead, however I have no experience with them and I don´t know what is good and which ones are terrible. I ask this here since i know people will have done stuff like this here and will have gone through the same stuff as i am going through now. I would really appreciate any help, i thank you guys, girls and apache helis already. Greetings Benjamin.

I am very low on budget so I am upgrading my pc one component at a time. I would like to buy GTX 1050 ti to replace Intel HD4600 but I can't find any version with analog output. My ASUS VW193D-B doesn't support anything except old vga and I don't have money for both new monitor and gpu. What do you think, will there be GTX 1050 ti with vga or dvi-i connector? Other option is to use hdmi to vga adapter but I've read somewhere that they are meant for projectors and are not recommended for monitors and sometimes it does not even work. What is your opinion and recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Hello guys! I've been lurking on the channel and a few other places for a while now, and I've managed to get som money. I've chosen my cfg, and i'd like to ask for your opinion what do you think if it. case: BE QUIET! Silent Base 800 mobo: ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS cpu: ryzen 5 1600 psu: evga b3 750W mem: Corsair 8gb vengence lpx ddr4 3000 cl 15 gpu: AMD RX vega 64. this is my rough budget, maybe a bit more I'm a student, that learns programming in a uni atm, so i need to be able to shift that workloads, also it'd be a gaming rig. Well.. not gonna lie, while i'm at class i'd like to mine to (side note, I live in a dorm, and i pay a fixed price, so whatever electricity i use doesn't matter). Whatever. Depending on the GPU price, i'd opt for 16gb ram. What are your thoughts?

Hello, Recently i upgraded to gtx 1080ti, and im kind of? feeling an input lag, its microscopic but it feels like its there, how much conversion lag would a HDMI to VGA converter produce? similar to this: https://www.lazada.com.ph/hdmi-to-vga-adapter-626734.html Thank you in advance!

I have an old LCD TV here I'm planning to build a little arcade system with but the TV's EDID is reporting the wrong resolution and causing me headaches. Under windows I can manually set the resolution to 1280x1024 which is the TV's native but the EDID is reporting 1280x720 (it's not a widescreen TV). It's a VGA connection going to a DVI converter. I want to run lakka which is Linux and retroarch basically a really light OS, but due to this false EDID information it reports that the signal is out of range. I need to either try to get lakka to read an EDID file to work which I don't think is possible or else reprogram my TV's EDID to report the correct resolution. Is it possible to reflash the EDID on the TV or am I out of luck here?

Should I: 1. Wait for VEGA and buy when it is released in less than two weeks? 2. Buy a cheap VGA today like 1050 Ti or 560, and buy vega when it got released? 3. Buy a good VGA like 1070 or 1060 or 580 or 570 and screw vega it's too expensive and performance is untested anyway.

Good morning, I'm getting a lot of black screens on my rig, just after I updated my motherboard, CPU and RAM. It's a 7600k at 4.5Ghz, R9 390 Nitro, 2x4GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM with a 650W PSU. I've also got a BD reader, gaming mouse and keyboard and the motherboard has got some RGB lightning. Could my 650W power supply be failing me? I've thought about it being the GPU, but there's just no artifacts or anything that could point to a GPU failure, my system runs just fine whitout the GPU on it never crashes, but that could be because of the lesser power draw. The GPU crashes no matter the driver/settings, it also crashes on Windows drivers, and it seems to be completely random. One moment I've ran the ungine benchmark for 35 minutes, then I close it, open Steam and it dies. I get a black screen, the audio is stuck and the PC won't respond no matter what. Then I run ungine heaven for 2 minutes and It crashes, or I run my pc without problems for 1 day, and get a random crash when I'm browsing the web. Please write any suggestion you have, here's the list of what I did: Clean windows 10 install Clean driver install with ddu, even a driver that came before wattman Using the pc with the integrated GPU (no crashes) Changed the HDMI cable to a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, crash still happens Memtest is fine, temps are fine, Windows says disk health is fine Tried changing display scaling settings to "Full Screen", that was the first time the benchmark didn't crash my pc, but It crashed soon after I close it

I recently got an Acer GN246HL, but something was brought to my attention in a different thread: What's everyone's speculation on the lifespan of DVI in the future? There's been talk for a while about DVI going the way of VGA, and I'm a bit concerned with having this monitor and it potentially not having compatibility with future graphics cards. Some cards don't even have DVI today. It's supposed to arrive today, would it be a good idea to return it and get something with a little more future compatibility in mind, like something with Display Port? My biggest reason for getting this specific monitor was 144hz, but equally important - I got it for $180, quite a bit cheaper than most other cheap 144hz monitors. I know people will say "buy what you need now" and I get that, but if using it now means being potentially locked out of the not so distant future, that's definitely something to think about.

I bought that HDMI to VGA adapter (since I had no other way to connect my old monitor) and the screen has been much much darker than usual;connecting with VGA. Is that how the converter suppose to work since it is changing digital to analog or I have a defective converter? system and monitor settings were untouched.

So after dealing with a multitude of.... Issues... Let's just say computers are my major and this computer has been a nightmare... Anyways, I'm starting fresh, I can't bother myself with the stress of spending 7 hours on the phone for just 1 part for each and every one (pattern for the last 2) so I'm just replacing the entire build. My theme is RGB, and this is a streaming/gaming rig. It has a 1440p monitor, and another 1080p monitor. Atm I use a Asus 1080 strix VGA which seemed to handle that quite well, so I'll be replacing that part I suppose. Just automatically include it in the build unless you think otherwise. The case I had in mind was the Corsair Crystal RGB 570x I believe it was called. I just need to figure out what exactly would be most optimal for my Mobo, CPU, and RAM as well as the hard drive and PSU. That's really it unless you want to include custom additions, but keep in mind that the price range im for the most part within is the parameters in which I built my previous Rig. That gives me about 1500-1600 to work with if I don't subtract the cost of the case and VGA in case you had different ideas in mind. I also already have a spare water cooler so no need to include that ^^ thanks OH almost forgot! New Jersey! USA, so $$$ is my currency.

Hey all, I'm in the process of rebuilding our arcade PC at work, but I've run into a snag at the very end of the project. I've put together a GIGABYTE GA-F2A68HM-H motherboard with an AMD A8-7600 CPU and a 450W power supply to replace an old machine that was on its last leg. Everything works, up until I plug the monitor's VGA cable into the motherboard. For a while, I couldn't get the board to power up when it was in the cabinet, but it powered up outside the cabinet. I narrowed down that it refused to power on when the VGA cable was connected to the arcade CRT in the cabinet. After a while, the board stopped having power issues while attached to the monitor. Once I got things set up how I wanted on a larger monitor--the arcade CRT only supports 640x480--I plugged the machine back into the monitor. At that point, all of the USB devices lost power. As soon as I unplug the VGA cable, the devices come back online. I've attached a video of the behavior below. Anyone have an idea of what could be causing this problem and how to potentially mitigate it? Unfortunately I'm limited on time with this project and I don't think getting a new monitor to fit in an arcade cabinet is feasible at this time. The monitor model is Makvision M2929D4G-TS. It only has a VGA input. The problem doesn't occur with any other monitors, and it's not specific to any one cable. Here's the video. Please forgive my vertical video sin; it was the only way to capture both the USB devices and the cable. For the curious, here's a picture of the build:

Specs: Mobo - Asrock AB350-hdv, CPU - Ryzen 5 1400, PSU - EVGA 80+ 500w white, RAM - team elite 1 * 8gb, GPU - MSI 1060 3gb OCv1 Storage - 480gb Micron M500 ssd This is my 1st time building a PC, the connection is VGA through the MoBo but I've tried the display port and HDMI on the GPU. I should also clarify that there isn't a VGA port on the GPU, I've have NOT installed windows on the ssd yet, and most of these parts are brand new.

So I have a massive question! I have a new evga 1050ti. Everything was going well. Good install, good set up. Install of shadow play, and all that stuff off of the disk. And most updates off the web. However after a few restarts, no issues. I did a hard reset to update a few things to Windows 7 itself. Since then I have had no luck with getting the gym to recognize either my VGA monitor or my HDMI tv. My board is a Asus M4a79xtd. So... no on board VGA. What should I do to get it restarted or reset.

Hello! I have an old only VGA display since 2007. In the next few years, I intend to build a new PC setup, that will include the latest CPU, and chipset (Like the I7 8700K and the Z370/Z270.) So, I want to know, will my old display work with this configuration? If not, what display do you recommend, for programming and for not super heavy gaming? (I play ETS2, Cities skylines and Minecraft.) (Now I'm using a VGA to DVI adapter for my nVidia GT 630, to connect my display to my video card.)

I'm trying to connect a few 1440x900 monitors with two Display port to VGA adapters with my GTX 960, the only problem is that they don't receive a signal, they're not even detected in windows. I have a 1920x1080 monitor plugged in as well, it's using a DVI to VGA adapter which works fine. After testing each smaller monitor with the DVI to VGA, they both work, I'm thinking either the adapters are broken or there might something wrong with the graphics card? Any help would be great!
