So i have a question What should i upgrade on my pc.. I have a 170$ (CAD) budget And at the moment I have a asrock ddr2 lga 775 motherboard And My cpu is a core 2 duo e8400 At 3,00ghz And A stock intel heatsink. And 4gb of ddr2 ram. My gpu is a gt630 2gb And it works pretty well! I dont know what i should upgrade Because i have a small budget. Im not really looking for pc masterace specs But i would like to get good qualityish Graphics And good fps when i am Streaming and recording. At the moment I get a average 40/60 fps in rigs of rods And 30/40 fps in Ats on medium settings With 300% scaling. Let me know What would be the best upgrade. the most i can spend is 190$ And another thing i would like is being able to run some bigger title games! I Do do a bit of video editing and 3d design so I would like to maybe be able to do this with ease.

I have recently built my PC but have found that I am not achieving the frame rates that I would like (High 1080p 60fps). My specs are an FX 4350, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 960 4GB and 8 gigs of ddr3 1600 ram. What should I upgrade first to achieve better frames and what upgrade path should I take?

Here's the current system System CPU 3.0 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 945 Motherboard ASUSTeK M4A785TD-V EVO(AM3) RAM 12 GB DDR3 669 MHz GPU 2 GB AMD Radeon HD 7870 Case Cooler Master Sniper Mid Tower Storage 260 GB SSD, 1 TB Western Digital Hard Drive, 500 GB Seagate Hard Drive PSU Corsair TX 650W Display(s) 1080p 60hz Samsung and AOC Cooling Stock AMD CPU Cooler, 140 mm fan up top and in front of case Keyboard generic Mouse generic Operating System Windows 7 I'd really like help figuring out a good upgrade path to turn this into a beast. The motherboard and cpu are showing their age and the stock cooler has trouble keeping it cool under load. Even the RAM is clocked pretty low from what I understand. I work part time and bring in about 600 a month, about 200 of which I can put away. With cyber monday/Christmas sales coming up I'd love to cash in on some really good deals. You'r wisdom is appreciated. The computer components are important but a good sound system/pair of headphones, and peripherals in general are gonna become more important as time goes on. I'm in the US if that's important. I'm a CS major and I like messing around with all sorts of content creation software. Blender, LMMS, Unreal, programming IDEs, video editing, photo editing, stuff like that.

Hi all, Firstly, I am in the UK and am working with £GBP. My PC: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/XG4hVY I was just wondering if there is anything that sticks out to anyone that might need to be upgraded or that should be changed? I like to play a variety of different games such as PUBG, Destiny 2, COD: WW2, GTA V, CMS2018 etc. I am currently being able to play these games in 1080p quite well however my GPU always gets quite hot, however im reluctant to upgrade to a better GPU as the prices are so high at the moment due to Cryptocurrency. Any help would be hugely appriciated.

I am running a Formula z97 board with a 4970k, 500g samsung evo ssd with 1tb wd black, 32 gigs of 2400mhz corsair ram, ax1200i, 980ti strix oc, corsair h110 aio, 7 fans red. Corsair 260T with the plexi window, Set of red replacement power cables(never got to switching them out) Monitor is a Asus PG278q gsync monitor. Corsair RGBK70 Keyboard and RGB M60 mouse also. I haven't decided to try and sell just yet but I am seriously thinking about it. Any legit ballpark numbers anyone can throw at me would be appreciated

Hey guys, my current desk pc its a bit old and getting obsolete pretty fast , but i live in Brazil, so hardware is really expensive, my rig is: AMD FX-4300@4.2Ghz, 8 Gbs of DDr3 RAM, with a GTX 650 2GB, ( my motherboard is relly not even worth mentioning), i think my GPU is the bottleneck of this, but since i am no expert, i have the money right now for an 1050 Ti 4GB, and just start saving up for a CPU and Motherboard upgrade next. SHould i Buy the new GPU? or the gain with such a limited and old CPU wasnt gonna be woth it?? =)

I like the idea behind this website, but in its current form is absolute garbage... I can dismiss the spelling mistakes as not everyone int he world in English, but the automated calculations are just rediculous... These are just from my old gaming system... I don't mean to crap all over the website as like I said I really do like the concept... Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz with (x1) will produce 39% of bottleneck. Everything over 10% is considered as bottleneck. We recommend you to replace Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz with Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz. So... I should replace my CPU... with the same CPU? Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz with Radeon HD 6950 (x1) will produce 40% of bottleneck. Everything over 10% is considered as bottleneck. We recommend you to replace Radeon HD 6950 with Quadro M4000. So I should replace my graphics card with one of the most expensive options? Which if I do, it then tells me my CPU will cause a bottleneck... Any thoughts guys? Am I using it wrong?

I mostly play League of Legends and Overwatch. I also record and do video editing. Budget is $500. My friends are planning to play games that I believe would toast my PC. Not sure if this is worth noting but sometimes my PC gets hot really fast, I want reduce that heat if possible... Here are my specs: Motherboard: MSI 970A - G43 CPU: AMD FX-6300 & Stock Cooler Memory: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Storage: WD 10ezex 1TB GPU: NVIDIA GTX 750 TI PSU: LEPA MC 600W P.S. I bought this from a friend somewhere in December of 2015 for $400 and have been using it since then.

I'm really struggling to decide what to do with my pc. Basically a little bit of background i have a GTX 970 my brother's old pc build he gave it to me and i have a HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF. The ProDesk has an i5-4570, 1x4gb DDR3, 500gb hard drive and a 230W psu. Option 1: At first since i was going to just buy a new case and psu and put the gtx 970, boom that would be fine but then just the other day i did some research and found out that the motherboard and power supply is proprietary. The CPU takes a 4 pin and the main board is a 6 pin. So there goes that idea out the window. Option 2: My next idea was to... Just buy a GT 1030 but since this is a SFF pc and will only accept half height/low profile PCI-E cards i was going to just buy a GT 1030, since all i play is mainly CS:GO, minecraft and similar games but the GT 1030 recommends a 300W+ PSU i tried looking to see if HP offer a high wattage version of this proprietary PSU but it doesn't look like they do. Option 3: So now i'm a bit clueless on what to do since now i'm going to have to upgrade, the PSU, Case and Motherboard and maybe ram(if it's a DDR4 board) in order to just keep the i5-4570 which is probably only worth about £80. My question is should i upgrade all 3 of those parts just to keep this CPU or just save up way more money and buy a new CPU, possibly go to AMD R5 600, which well also mean new ram. Option 2 is what i would like to do if there is just a replacement PSU that will support this motherboard i have. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks

I have a Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 with a MSI A78M-E35 V2 inside it. I have a one slot WIFI card already in the PCIe 1x slot, and want to upgrade to a dedicated graphics card eventually (something like a GTX 1050ti). Is that possible? I looked inside the case, and the WIFI card seems to leave only 1 PCI expansion slot open for the dual slot graphics card. Would it fit if i used a 1x extender to move the WIFI card down some slots? Would it fit if I used a 16x extender to move the GPU instead? Would it just fit if I slot it in? I don't want to waste a bunch of money on a GPU that wouldn't fit. Never put a dedicated GPU in a computer before... Thanks in advance!

So I currently have, i5-6400 MSI Z170A Gaming M7 16GB DDR4 2666 Ninja-V Panram 750W Rosewill Hive 3TB Firecuda SSHD, 1TB Seagate Hdd, 2x Samsung 512GB 960 Pro M.2 SSD in raid 0 EVGA GTX 980Ti SC No case, I have my computer on a table for more airflow but I need more CPU power as I game, stream, record for youtube, edit video, and I use CAD software for the builds I do to plan everything out (I build and upgrade systems for a living). I am thinking of upgrading to either 5820K, 5930K, 1800X, 1700X, or if the price comes down on the 6850K and 6900K (b/c Skylake-X launched today). What are some recomendations for CPU and motherboard? I will sell my current MOBO and CPU to help pay for my new parts.

1. Budget My budget is roughly around $1000. It could get higher though, it depends what i've been suggested. 2. Aim My aim for the pc itself is to make this pc a better hardware for gaming and video making. I make a lot of designs too and i play games a lot, like DotA 2, Overwatch, and CS:GO. 3. Monitors I've been running with 2 monitors lately but i think i'll degrade it into 1. It depends on how powerful this upgrade will be. 4. Peripherals I don't need more peripherals, it's all just for the PC. 5. Why am I upgrading? I'm upgrading because it's been awhile since my first build on this PC, roughly about 3 years ago and it's now starting to turn down on me. I want this PC to last and I'll do anything to upgrade this PC to make it better. Current Specs : Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti Windows 7 Home Basic 8 GB of RAM Intel Core i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40 Ghz Motherboard : H87-G43 GAMING (MS-7816) MSI 1 Tb of HDD 128 gb of ssd P.S. (i really need your help guys, this is urgent and I'm really new at this. Thanks for replying!) Best regards, Flick

Hey Everyone, So i made my first build about two to three years ago and i want to do some upgrades. Currently my specs are : Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 AMD FX - 6300 Viper Patriot DDR3 1600 2 x 8GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD 500 GB Gigabyte GTX 660 (Getting GTX 1060 6gb for Christmas) I'd like to switch over to Intel but have some questions first since i'm no where near knowledgeable enough. So First off i know i need to get a new Mobo and CPU to make the switch and I'd like to upgrade my RAM, I also already picked up a GTX 1060 6gb for Christmas. Computer uses : Mainly Gaming, Id like to get high 1080p performance and possibly in the future 4K Video for movies and such. Also i don't plan on overclocking and such. My questions are: with a CAD$800 budget what would be the best Mobo, Cpu and Ram to get ? Could i keep my current SSD and just move it over + would i have to fresh install windows with new parts, or will there be issues with it? The parts i was looking at are : MSI H110M Gaming Motherboard LGA 1151 - $104.99 Intel Core i7-6700 8M Skylake Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1151 - $469.99 HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133 RAM - $144.99 Other Parts in current PC NZXT Phantom 530 Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Crosiar CS750M Thanks, and any advice would be greatly appreciated Nick. Aka Chippers.

Now, I know its most likely silly to ask, however, I saw a few 980M GPU's on eBay being sold a'-la-cart for much cheaper than buying n entire new laptop. I'm by no means a rookie when it comes to computers, as I've built systems in the past with friends, and I've done some basic things with my own lap top to familiarize myself with my machine. (RAM upgrade, HDD and SSD upgrades.) However, I like to be as up to date as possible in terms of performance on the mobile side of things. I'm simply curious if its possible to even do. (Things like heat pipes matching up, different surface areas, ect.) I'm honestly assuming the cards are essentially the same considering computers by most brands have almost exact similar models of laptop with different series of GPU's in them. For reference, this is my current lap top. More information can be found out about it here. ( https://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AW17R3-7092SLV-17-3-Inch-Generation-GeForce/dp/B015P3SO22/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480761889&sr=8-1&keywords=Alienware+980m ) So to sum up; 1: Is it doable, and if so, what challenges may I face? 2: If possible, where can I get a 1080 lap top GPU? 3: How difficult would something like this be? 4: Would it be better to just get the Alienware graphics amplifier at this point and spend the extra money on a desktop grade GPU? (A much less desireable option, but one I may consider.)

So I have an i7 3770 (non K) with a PowerColor RED DRAGON Radeon RX 480 with my old Gtx 630 currently inside my case. I just ordered the gpu. I have 8 gb of ddr3 memory. I have as a HP 600 watt psu and a ssd I just ordered it and i don't have it yet. I was planning on getting a case and a new modular or semi-modular psu so I can organize my computer better. I am not a gamer, but I am a content creator. I don't really know what to get. So basically I want to know what is a good cheap case and a psu that is at least 500 watts that is semi modular of modular. And how much ram should I get to make the build decent. The water cooler on the cpu is a non name one, but it works really well for what it is so I don't really want to replace that.

Apologize if this has been asked before, but couldn't seem to find an exact answer. I'm currently toying around with buying a new iMac 2019, but in an effort to save money and for just "the fun of the build," I've considered buying a 4K base model and then simply upgrading it to meet my desired specs. I know the 27" CPU and ram can be upgraded, but I wanted to get some clarification that I won't run into any thermal or compatibility issues with the following build: -Worth noting, no gaming or video editting on this machine. Lots of "music creation" software - including many standalone players that utilize multiple cores and hyper threading. iMac that would be ordered from Apple: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac/21.5-inch-3.6ghz-quad-core-processor-1tb# Upgraded items: 1 TB HDD ----- Samsung 860 QVO 2TB SSD Intel i3 8th gen ------ Intel i9 9900K 9th Gen 8gb ram ----- 64gb (2x32) 2666MHZ Ram Many thanks in advance!
