(copying this off my reddit question in /r/pcmasterrace, since I never got even an upvote there). I'm trying to find a small, silent PC case with front-panel USB-C, but can't seem to find a decent selection. Requirements are, in rough order: Front-panel USB-C (even if as an addon module). Top/side mounted works, too. As much sound dampening as possible. I'm 0% interest in RGB and side windows for this build. ATX-sized (tentatively for an AORUS Master) Compatible with existing gear that i'm carrying over: H115i pro (2x140mm) rad, HX750i psu, RTX 2070. Right now, I'm replacing a case that's about W190mm x H423mm x D485mm. So far, after a significant search, I've only found two possible options: Fractal Design's Define R6 (it's an E-ATX case, so about a size too big from what I wanted): W233mm x H465mm x D543mm Silverstone KL07, which I'm having trouble sourcing: W222mm x H510mm x D467mm I'm looking at something like the Corsair 270R, 275Q, 330R (on the bigger side) or 400Q, and wishing Corsair would upgrade their lineup or sell usb-C upgrade kits. I was also wondering, should I just settle for a bay-mounted USB-C port? My initial thought on this is case with ODD bays might not be smaller than the other options I've already got. Any good suggestions?

Hi! I'm struggling with what noctua fans to choose for this build, where to put them which way they should blow and also is there a problem with the components I've chosen? something I've overlooked? I have bought the GPU, CPU, motherboard and case so those ships has sailed (see my pcpartpicker list below). My goal with this build is GAMING (playing new demanding games), maybe streaming, maybe video editing and maybe visual art stuff. I want quiet noctua fans but I'm not sure which of them to choose preferably not the brown ones. Low noise level is really important and good cooling (optimized high airflow?, SSO bearing and PWM I think). I think I want neutral pressure in the case but I'm not sure what do others recommend? Do I need 3 or 4 fans for this build? And where? Is it best with 140 mm for lowest noise lvl and where should I put them and which way should they blow and is that something you install them to do? To either exhaust or intake or does that happen by which way you turn it physically so that no matter what fan you buy you can decide if they should intake or exhaust? I'll situate the power supply so that it intakes air from the back of the case and pushes it out underneath the case. Also if I'm interested in PWM is a fan controller like for example Corsair Fan Controller Commander Pro (CL-9011110-WW) then necessary because the case fanhub doesnt have enough 4 pins for the fans or? Sorry if the info/questions in this post are jumbled it's just taken me months to ask for help with these questions so now I'm just throwing them out there now hoping people out there can help with these questions, even if they sound really ignorant and confusing, because I'm obviously a noob, so thank you. Hello there! I want to build one of the most silent PC at an affordable price. Trying to cut anything overkill too and no fancy design nor RGB needed! I'm upgrading my current build (1) to a transition build (2) to eventually complete build (3). (Mainly, I'm waiting to upgrade GPU and extra RAM because of the price) Problem is mostly the case at this moment: it will greatly help me continue picking my parts when I'll finally have chosen one. There's a great load of information on Gamer Nexus here: https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3397-best-and-worst-pc-cases-of-2018 and here: https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3120-best-gaming-pc-cases-of-2017 Let's consider my preferences in order: Noise level > Temperature > Features > Design I have open-back headphones, so yeah, noise is important. I'm a gamer, photographer (so editing with Photoshop) and do video editing a little bit. So, with that in mind, I need a great GPU (see monitor), a solid CPU (Photoshop eats my current one) and good RAM (Photoshop and Chrome, ofc, loads them) with rapid HDD (for faster photo loading) with one extra HDD for storage. That's my basic needs. Build (1) Current build OS: Windows 10 RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1066MHz (15-15-15-36) CPU: Intel Core i5 6600 @ 3.30GHz Skylake 14nm Technology MOBO: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Note: I want the fastest SSD, M2 with silent/cooling build in mind. No Wifi, no rgb. Monitor: Same GPU: Same HDD1(boot): M2, according to mobo. HDD2: 111GB R3SL120G (SATA (SSD) same as HDD1 from previous HDD3: 931GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 (SATA) Removing it because of the noise. HDD4 (backup): 5589GB Seagate Backup+ Hub BK SCSI Disk Device (USB (SATA) same backup PS: be quiet! BN618 Straight Power 11 650W Fully Modular Power Supply 80 Plus, Gold Case: be quiet! PURE BASE 600 or 601 or 900 (Rev1 or Rev2) CPU cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4 Fans: Noctua or Silent Wings or anything high-end for silent/cooling. I don't care about RGB or design (looking at you Noctua) Build (3) Final build Same as final choices above but with RTX 2070 or 2080 RTX in mind (no SLI unless proven otherwise), 32GB RAM or more. I might upgrade to a dual monitor display. Thanks in advance! -Ben

My loud and cheap wireless Microsoft mouse and keyboard set is finally starting to get on my nerves and I've been using it for about 10 years. I'm wondering what the best silent (or at least incredibly quiet) mouse and keyboard set (doesn't have to be a set) is? Requirements Silent (or at least very very quiet) Wireless (I think I value this a lot as I don't like wires on my desk), either via USB receiver or BlueTooth Mostly/entirely black colour Spend no more than roughly $150 Canadian Nice-to-haves I've got lots of Asus Aura sync stuff in my build, so hey, it would be cool if my mouse and keyboard could sync up with my other LEDs, I guess!

I'm trying to spec out a new system for doing sound recording. I'd like it to be as quiet as possible for those times I'm recording through a microphone. My current hovercraft-spec fans are far from silent. My studio space is really small and the best solution would simply replace the current system which is about 12" wide, 10" tall, and 15" deep. The current system is based on a very old Q6600 (Core 2 Quad) with 4 GB RAM and Windows 10, so it's not going to be very hard to improve on that one's performance. I'm expecting "mid" rather than "top" performance which should be fine. I'm planning on using the following components: Ryzen R5 2600 Micro-ATX motherboard https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-rev-10#kf NoFan 500W fanless PS https://www.quietpcusa.com/NoFan-P-500A-Fanless-Power-Supply-500W.aspx NoFan passive CPU cooler https://www.quietpcusa.com/Nofan-CR-80EH-IcePipe-Fanless-CPU-Cooler Video card something like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/s3YWGX/gigabyte-geforce-gt-1030-2gb-silent-low-profile-video-card-gv-n1030sl-2gl 2.5" SSD M2 drive The NoFan cooler is pretty huge so needs clearance above and around the CPU. Don't need an optical drive or any 3.5" drives. Don't care about running games. Current video card is a GeForce 8400? It's fine (other than it has a fan). I was looking at the SilverStone SUGO SG11B which is about the right size externally but the ATX PS mounts over the CPU which forces you to use a low profile cooler. I'm skeptical I can get a fanless cooler into that space. I also see fan controls, etc. and the reality is is don't need it silent all the time, just when I am recording with a mic. So conceivably I could also use a system which allowed shutting the fan off or spinning way down for awhile (10-30 minutes?), and then it would speed up if it needed to. So, I'm interested in: a) case recommendations b) recommendations for ways to find a case starting with its external dimensions and clearance over/around CPU (PC part picker is a little abstract in that regard) c) Thoughts about other cooling approaches (a "quiet" vs. "Silent" fan, spinning down temporarily, etc.) Thanks! DL

Hello, I just got my new rtx 2080ti in the mail and i was so stoked about it, but now that i got it installed it only makes alot of noice. The fan the furtherst away from the io wont stop spinning when i change the fancurves. It will always spin on one set of rpm. When i ramp it up it will go up but when i turn it down it will go back to the same rpm. I've read threats about people RMA the card but i would really like to keep that option as a last resort. My specs are AMD ryzen 5 3600 16 gb 3000 mhz Corsair veangeance (2x8gb) Asus rog strix B450-I gaming (mini itx) Samsung m.2 250gb intel m.2 2tb be quiet dark rock 4 NZXT h200i corsair sfx 600 Best regards Camiel

First of all, i am so sorry if i am not in the right topic. So i bought a new pc a week ago and its like a very high end gaming pc (2080ti/I9-9900k/32g of ram/etc..) i bought everything myself so its not a company PC. My problem is that when idle my pc is around 48 to 50 Decibel wich is kind of loud because it's right next to me on my desk, i was wondering if it's average or if my PC is too loud, and what can i do about it ? Ive already set every fan to silent mode and even tweaked some to run even more silent. I feel like it just vibrate a loottt. Case : H510 Elite NZXT GPU : Aorus 2080 TI AiO : Corsair H100i RGB Platinum All fans (except the AiO) NZXT Aer RGB 2 (120 and 140 mm) Thanks Oh and when i stop my Top exhaust fan, the pc kind of stop vibrating and its much much much better, did i screw this in badly or something ??

Hi all, after 15 years or so, I'm thinking to finally exchange my blue ringed Lian Li B25 for something more up to date. I had a closer look on the Fractal Design R6 series. They seem to have pretty heavy noise dampening modules in the side plates, so I was wondering: Has someone ever looked into the impact of a noise-dampened side plate versus a window kit? It must be lacking some of the insulation... how big is this impact? Can you hear it? And changing good old stuff I was also thinking about changing my beloved Noctua air-cooler, which is with me since AM2+ socket days in 2007 and was supplied with free socket-adapters since then (until recent AM4) by Noctua. That really blew my mind - hands-down best service experience I had in all hardware related issues so far. Would you rather go with a new air cooling solution for the new case or jump to a AiO watercooling system (having a Ryzen 9 3900X in mind)? Any other thoughts of changing gears are highly welcome as well of course ? I was actually getting quite frustrated with the Lian Li over the years. Exchanging front-fans is a crazy undertaking as you cannot access it from the front but only from inside the case: You have to get rid of the HDD cage to access the fans... but then you have to get rid of the GPU to access the hdd-cage... and the HDDs themselves. Resulting in a major Hardware battle just due to a blo**y fan failing ? Cheers hunchi

Hi guys So I want to upgrade my Ryzen 5 1600 cooler from the stock one since it's started making a lot more noise than it used to even though it is clean. I was thinking about something from Scythe as they are relatively cheap and well performing. I don't know if I should go for the Mugen 5 PCGH, Fuma 2 or Ninja 5. My priority is good temps, then noise. But noise is also very important. I plan to upgrade my cpu to a 3900X or 3700x sometime in the future and I would like the cooler to still be good enough. Which one of the three would be the best choice in my case? Also my GPU fans (gigabyte 1070tj 3 fan) are very loud, especially under load. I definitely do not have the money for water cooling, so I thought I should do a mod where I just put case fans on the heatsink, but I have no idea which fans would be best. I want to run the card with a mild overclock, with silence being the most important thing. Are there cheap 120mm fans that are silent and better than the 3 small fans that are on my card now? I've been looking around but I can't seem to really find any good fan reviews. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all, after finishing my watercooling loop I have been made promptly aware that the loudest component in my PC was actually the power supply, a CX750M. While not a bad power supply by any standard, the fan is quite loud at the loads I’m putting on it(300 watt Vega 56 @ 1.7 Ghz something something load i7-6800K @ 4.1 Ghz). I was looking at replacing it with an RM unit, and I was wondering if the RM1000 would be worth the extra 40$ over the 850 for my use case, in which I’d prefer silence, but if there’s no meaningful difference I’d rather not spend more than I have to. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

Hello, I'd like to expand my current set-up, and I'd like to do so with 1 or 2 extra mini-nodes. I currently have one of these: https://www.supermicro.com/products/system/2U/6027/SSG-6027R-E1R12L.cfm which is running 64 gigs of RAM and 2x E5-2560 V2. I added one of these https://noctua.at/en/na-fc1 to lower fan speed/noise. This is the main workhorse. I'm looking for suggestions for a low-power (around 25-30W), relatively silent server. Performance isn't a hard requirement, I'd be aiming for an i3/E3 or similar, but I would like it to have at least 2x 2.5" SSD (preferred over M.2) bays + some 3.5 ones, double ethernet, 16 to 32 gigs of RAM, and some form of remote management. Bonus points if it can be easily wired and mounted on a Rack. Usage would include: Ceph mon / mgr (possibly OSDs), etcd member, few containers for monitoring and logging aggregation. If possible, I'd like to stay around 200€ for chassis (including CPU, rails/hdd bays and accessories, but excluding drives and RAM) but, as you can see from the currency, I live in Europe, where it may be harder to find something like this. For example a https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/system/1U/5019/SYS-5019S-MR.cfm is around 900-1200€ for just the chassis and is a 1U with 22.500 RPM fans. What should I be looking for? Thank you.

I would like to know what is the best keyboard for a high school AP English teacher and future author, silent (so no interrupting students), no tenkeyless (putting in grades), I don't want or need pain from typing from hours. No wrist rest please. I prefer full height key caps. What keyboard should I get/use? Thanks,

I was a bit unsure which thread to post this one in, networking seems like a good bet. So I'm not overly tech savvy - I can build PC's and understand the basics but this is a one I can't quite figure out. I'm building a new production/ recording studio at the minute, and I want to keep all the machines in a separate room to reduce noise. I'm wondering what the best way is to run displays/ peripheral's from over 20m away. My first thought was networking, but I couldn't find a comprehensive guide on this topic. There will be 3 monitors total in each control room, one of which is 4k, the other two likely to be 1440p. I know it's been done before. People like Junkie XL, Hans Zimmer, and more run similar rigs. But there's no information online on how it all works. Hope there's someone out there that is able to help!

So at the moment, I have a Logitech M331 Silent Mouse. It's a great mouse and is also very silent (just the way I like it). There is however one problem: I have large hands and the mouse is fairly small so I end up having to hang my palm off the back and rest it on my mouse pad because I have a full-palm grip. When I google "Silent mouse", all the mice seem just as small as mine. So I'm wondering, what are my options for a large, silent mouse? Any suggestions are appreciated ? P.S.: By large I mean something the size (but not the price) of the MX performance, ROG Spatha and the MX Master.

Case panels view with PC-stack insideCase Skeleton and Sample Front Plates. ** Green/Red GPU mounting mechanism, ** Blue - SSD mounting bracketsV2B-The Dark Tower designA couple of weeks ago I started a thread to document my experimental mini-ITX builds where the aim was for a completely silent PC with no performance compromise (using high-end components i7-8086k & RTX 2080 Ti).The concept was to use high TDP CPU cooler to cool the GPU in a unique stacked formation/orientation that makes airflow and cooling efficient. Efficiency in airflow greatly reduces the need for high fan speed rpm to keep the components cool while being very quiet. Here's a link to the thread if you want to look at the details in my experiments.https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/mini-itx-build-with-noctua-d15-performance-gaming-pc.9833/From there, you'll get a much better understanding of my motivations plus design choices and considerations. The result is UniQ-1, a 11.2L (7"x7.5"x13") case that not only house the very unique mini-ITX build that is very unorthodox from the norms yet very efficient in the use of space, but also able to support the various conventional builds.Components support:Motherboard: mini-ITXGPU : Up to 300mmSSD/HDD : 1 HDD, or 2 SSD, or 1 HDD & 1 SSDPSU : SFX/SFX-LAir Coolers : As large as Noctua NH-D15, C-14s, Dark Rock Pro, Dark Rock TF, etcsAIO Cooler : 120mm, 140mm, 240mm (maybe)The design:The objective of the design was to use large heatsinks for both GPU and CPU, and later expanded to use AIO's. Because of how efficient these heatsink are at cooling the components, fan speed can be very low ( 30% - 120/140mm fans), and together with an open-air vent enclosure, yields a very silent PC with zero compromise in performance.GPU Mounting bracketsThe GPU is vertically mounted and is facing the motherboard (opposite of convention mounting), using a folded pcie riser cable. I have designed a bracket so that GPU can be mounted vertically and can be shifted vertically and horizontally. This is done because GPU can have different mounting holes and it directly dictates how the GPU heat sink can be stacked or placed with the CPU coolers. The brackets I have here can be pivot left/right via the slider, and screwed straight into the legs of the chassis, it's not shown here but there will be various holes/screwing points to allow for different vertical mounting position of the green plate. The vertical mounting point on the leg is not a slider (for now) to make sure the mounting is sturdy on the vertical junctions. The case allows for easy removal of the side/top panels and front plate. The top plate is especially useful to remove quickly to gain access to the GPU outputs. The temps I'm getting is around 55-60C for CPU & ~55C RTX 2080 Ti (OC'ed) & ~45C GTX 1080 Ti (OC'ed), under full gaming load. This is all done while the fan speed never goes past 40%, making the rig technically silent in operation. More thermal studies will be done with the actual case later. I suspect it could raise the GPU temps by 5-10C.This is my first draft of the case with my intention to allow for better supports with various components and not just the ones that I have tested. I haven't finalized the design of the front plate, but with the current infrastructure of a panel system, all the panels (including the front plate) can be replaced with different design/material.Note that the case was first designed for my unique stacked tower builds, but the sides can be modified with brackets to allow for full AIO supports that can be mounted front, side, or rear. This is for those that want to start out with AIO's that they already own and not want to invest in expensive air coolers such as the Noctua-D15/DarkRockPro4 or Nocuta-C14s/DarkRockTF.My main goal is to design a case for myself but I've got many requests to commercialize this product for public consumption so this is my attempt at designing a case that could be used not only with my design but just about anything that's available out there. My first hope is this case will allow people to join in and hop on my innovation in PC design in contrast to the more conventional (abeit outdated ATX platform).Keep your mind free and never stop challenging the norms!**Please reply to the discussion to help me improve the design that works for the general audience. I will monitor the interest base on activities to decide if I want to pursue a large order from a case manufacturer.Update #1 - Using non-moded GPU & 120mm AIONon-Modded 3-slots GPU & 120mm and 240mm rad AIOs for CPUIt seems there are a lot of interest in using this case with non-modded GPU. Although this is not the case designed purpose, there's no reason it wouldn't work! So I mock up some models and this is one of many ways you can use non-modded parts with this case. I'm going with the extreme and use a 3-slot GPU (real dimensions) in this mock to demonstrate how much room is there to accommodate "normal" components. Given that front, right side, and rear are open air space, you can practically mount the 120/2400mm rad anywhere. This is just one example.Update #2 - Modular T-sandwich layoutT-bracket Addon : For sandwich layoutSomeone mention the word "modular" somewhere in the post yesterday and it got my juice flowing. Here's my take on modulating my case to include a T-backet addon that can me mounted to the base frame of the case to allow for the sandwich layout that made popular by Dan A4 and similar case. This is definitely a deviation away from my original layout, and don't get me wrong, that's still the top priority. Hence this is why I call this an addon or expansion.I believe with a simple addon like this it will allow the case to be very versatile. Not only will it house my original stacked design, but also able to allow for more traditional and modern placement of components for those who don't want to attempt modding their GPUs.THe T-layout is not final, it's just one configuration that I came up with, it can be refined. In the above picture, the case is now laying sideways. the top mounted 120mm fan is use as intake and the C-style (C-14s or Dark Rock Pro TF) will exhaust the air out to the front. I also show how a 120mm AIO can be mounted, this can be used either for the CPU or GPU (kraken G12 or hybrids). The PSU is mounted at the bottom of the case and connector will be extended to the back. 2 SSD can be mounted righ above the PSU directly to the new T-bracket.The "divider" is currently placed this way to house a 110mm tall CPU cooler (the Dark Rock Pro TF is used as an example). And there's still space left over for a full size GPU with a maximum length of 330mm.As for side panels, a few of them can be re-used (maybe 5?) from the original orientation. The old bottom panel will be replaced with the T bracket (in reference to the new design) since it needs cutout for the mobo and gpu mounted back-to-back.I hope this makes sense and this can add another layer to original case design.

So Ive been looking around at wireless mice on sites like Newegg and eBay and Ive narrowed my quest for a really quiet, really cheap mice to two contendors: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAFS97F01457&Description=silent mouse&cm_re=silent_mouse-_-9SIAFS97F01457-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4RE86H4231&Description=silent mouse&cm_re=silent_mouse-_-9SIA4RE86H4231-_-Product Problem is Ive never used products from either of these and I dont know enough about mice to really make a decision based on expertise, anyone know which of these might be better?

I'm going to buy an entirely new PC this Xmas and I'm looking for something big and sturdy. I really do need for it to be dustproof, as I live above a carpenter's and the sawdust usually gets in my builds(I have to clean my current build almost once a month, RIP). I'm going to watercool the main components, but being silent would be great. Weight and bay number are not so important, I won't move it too much and I'll be bulding a server with my other build's parts. The "gaming" look is not something I'm particularly looking for, but I can overlook it if needed. I've got like 300$ for it. For now I'm keeping an eye for the Fractal Design cases, mainly the R6.

i just downloaded far cry 5 and everything works fine except for the sound. I can hear the dialogues and the subtitles don't work but i can hear gunshots (background noise). How do i fix this?

Hy, As i just spent 500 euros on a new dual monitor setup for my laptop, I'm searching for a good mechanical keyboard. What i really hate about mechanical keyboards is how loud they are and because of that I'd like to have a silent keyboard. I've looked at those from corsair (k70 lux and strafe mk.2) and i really like them, but at 170 euros, it's a bit pricey. Also as i would hook it up to my laptop i would like to have only 1 usb cable to plug in, as i've seen keyboads with multiple usb plugs. I'd want something that will last a 'lifetime' so i don't mind paying 170 euros, I just want to know if there are other alternatives out there. thnx for the help greetz, RayanR

I'm looking for a quiet Mid-Tower case for my PC. I'm currently using a NZXT H510i but I don't care for RGB or glass on the side. I only bought it because of the front panel Type C port. I do have an old Cooler Master Silencio 550 but my NH-D15 doesn't fit. Price is not that important but it needs to be silent, have good air intake and my hardware has to fit. Front panel Type C port for added bonus. Any suggestions? The rest of my specs: Ryzen 9 3900X X570 Aorus Master Noctua NH-D15 Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC (Maybe upgrading to 3080 or 3070(super/TI?) in a year or so) 1x 2.5" SSD 1x 3.5" HDD

Good evening, everyone. I have been looking for a new case for my 10 years old X58 ATX build, for a series of reasons, but the main ones being looks, silence, and refrigeration, as my current setup is ugly, noisy and not so cool, as it only supports two 120 mm fans. I am looking for something that preferably does not look gamer-ish with RGB, but rather professional or discrete. Another requirement is that it should have intake fan filters. With that in mind, while researching the subject a bit, I came across two interesting options: Corsair 600Q and Cooler Master Silencio S600. However, I have seen that the Corsair 600Q, which is the one I liked the most, is no longer produced, and I could not find it anymore for sale. It was quite an appealing option for me because it already came with fans, it had a fan speed controller, it looked professional and it was made with sound dampening in mind. The other option, the Cooler Master S600, also looks pretty nice (kind of a balance between professional and gamer, which is more than fine) and is made with sound dampening in mind. However, it seems that some reviews rate it as a "GPU cooker". That makes me think that I should buy additional Silencio FP120 PWM fans for it, which are kind of hard to find where I live. With that in mind, could you please suggest me some case options? They don't need to be necessarily made with sound dampening material if you could recommend me fans that are good and silent. Another important aspect is that I live in Brazil, so it might be difficult to find products of some brands like Be Quiet. So, if you could stick to the most known brands (such as Corsair and CM), it would make things easier for me. Thanks a lot! EDIT: My bad, I forgot to specify a budget! I'm looking for something that would cost a maximum of US$ 130.00 give or take!

Hello, everyone, i am new here in the forum and hope you can help me, in various other forums i was recommended a lot, advised and in the end i sit here next to my PC and am just disappointed. Short facts at the beginning, I am relatively new to water cooling and have informed myself a long time before I built my first custom loop. Short facts about the hardware and how I currently cool it. - Ryzen 3900X @3800MHz fixed @1,125V (~65 Watt) with Watercool Heatkiller IV (copper edition) - Nvidia RTX 2080Ti @2050Mhz @1.1V (~250Watt) with Watercool Heatkiller IV (copper block) - 3x Hardwarelabs Black Ice Nemesis GTS 360 Radiator (30mm thick) - 9x Noctua NF-A12x25 fans - 2x Noiseblooker eloop 140mm fans - 2x noiseblocker 80mm fans - D5Next (aquacomputer) - Heatkiller Tube 150 - Hardtubing - LianLi O-11 Air Radiators bottom, top, side, each with 3x Noctua all air intake. 140mm fans in the front blow out to the front, the expansion tank with pump attached to it, the 80mm fans in the rear. Fans scale according to water temperature, but as far as possible quietly, that was at least the goal. If I now use GPU and CPU to full capacity, the water becomes about 42 degrees Celsius warm (room temperature ~25°C). The fans then run in the range of 45-55%. The CPU works then in the range of 75-80°C and the graphics card at about 50°C. But if I let the fans turn only 5% slower the water temperature rises to 48°C. To make a long story short, this is too loud for me and the pump can be heard clearly. I would like to change my system now, and change to softtubes and if everything fits I can put in hardtubes again. My question now is, should I use thicker radiators and in general what would be the best arrangement in the case to achieve a quiet cooling. I'd like to get the Noctua to run at a maximum speed of 800-1000 RPM, i.e. 40-50%. I'm quite willing to buy new radiators, fans etc. as long as I can achieve the goal. I've also thought about an external radiator, but that would be the last option for me. Please help me, I am really desperate, and sorry for my english, i am from Germany THANKS!

Recently, I've upgraded my computers fans to all of be quiets Silent wings 3. And the noise levels while gaming has become great. Unfortunately, my Graphics card, the XFX Thicc III ramps up quite loudly even with headphons on, at 35% rpm. Is there a way to minimise the sound without butchering thermals at the same time? Playing around with the fan speeds in AMD Radeon software isn't giving me quite the perfect balance, and there are other options of under volting which I have no idea how to use. Does anyone have any experience in lowering noise levels without sacrificing performance or graphics quality?

Hey guys, In my next build I want to have a high end system and want to know if this could handle it. - 4th gen AMD ryzen 9 - RTX 3080/TI - 32gb Ram - Dark Rock Pro 4 - 4 SIlent wings 3 140mm (3 front intake, 1 out in the back) If it can handle it I would like to have the Be Quiet silent base 601 because I really like the Black/Orange look. I also really like the looks of the case and the low sound output.
