Should I sell my GTX 1070 that's being bottlenecked by my i5 6400? Like, it bottlenecks, seriously. I'll sell it and get something cheap like a 3gb 1060 that I had before, which ran perfectly with my i5. I have 8gb DDR4 2133mhz, B150 mATX Gigabyte board, and 750w EVGA Supernova. Or, should I just wait until I get enough money for Ryzen 5 1600x, and a X370 motherboard? (I want sli okay) I do game development and a crap ton of multitasking. I also need some money so....

Hello, The worst happened and my Asus Zenbook UX302LG-C4014H broke on Monday (shut down, didn't turn on again). It had the same issue earlier but warranty was still valid so Asus fixed it for free (changed the motherboard). I bought it for 1500€ (around 1700 USD) when it was released here on January 2014. I took it to a local PC store where they said it's completely dead, most likely a broken motherboard (again...). The motherboard is hard to find anymore and even if it was replaced the chances are it still wouldn't work / would break later again. Luckily my insurance company will cover part of the damage by paying me the value of the laptop (today's value). So here I am left with the insurance money and a broken ultrabook. The PC store offered to buy the broken machine (guess for the spare parts), the man said he could offer 50€ straight away so there should be some room for negotiation. Should I sell it? I don't have any use for a broken laptop since it can't be fixed / would cost too much to be worth it. If yes, what do you think about the value of it? Lets assume the motherboard is indeed broken but everything else in it works. Thank you a lot in advance! - Edea

So I'm starting to sell PC's and wanted to start selling like a business any advice, I currently build and sell on craigslist how can I get bigger?

Hi, I'm just wondering how much my GPU is worth because of the mining thing. Although the card itself is pretty old (AMD R9 380X), I have seen multiple listings on kijiji- A Canadian craigslist thing- for the 380 above $290. I want to get a 1060 with the money or just keep the money I get from the card and wait because Grade 12 is starting and I need to focus on school. Anyways what price do you guys think I should sell it for in CAD?

I’m in some hot water. I really don’t want to do this since it’s pretty much my pride and joy, but I think I need to sell my computer. I’m in need of some money since I’ve lost tons of hours at work and I need to pay bills. However, I have no idea how to go selling my used system. Is there a forum for that on here? These are my Specs GPU: Zotac 980Ti Amp Extreme CPU: Intel i7 6700K Mobo: Asus Hero VIII PSU: Corsair 750w H105 Liquid Cooler Case: Fractal Define S I’m going to keep the Hard Drives for myself Incase I ever build myself a computer again in the future. In total (including all 6 of my hard drives) the build cost me about $2,000 give or take. Would I be able to get at least $1,000 or could I possibly get more? Ill try to post some pictures of it later since it’s late and I’m pretty tired. I just can’t sleep and thought I’d ask before I went to bed. Anyway, I appreciate any help you guys can give. Thanks.

I'm starting graphic design college early next year and I need a new computer. A mac specifically. I originally built this PC when I was heavily into gaming. I no longer game and I feel my PC is a bit overkill for the work I am doing on it. I'm switching to Mac because the school specifies it, and there are exclusive programs like Sketch which is a industry standard software. Generally there are a lot of exclusive software and functionality that I find useful. I'm looking at selling my PC soon, I just need a hand in regards to pricing, selling and information to give or not to give the buyer. Specs: CASE: Corsair Carbide Air540 Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Hero Z170 CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k 4.0GHz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB RAM: 32GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2400mhz STORAGE: Corsair Neutron XT SSD 240GB // Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500GB // WD Black 4TB HDD PSU: HX850i 80+ Platinum DISPLAY: BenQ XL2430T 144hz 1080p COOLING: Corsair H100iGTX CPU cooler // 3x Corsair AF120 fans // 2x SP120 fans (the SP120s' replaced the stock fans on the CPU cooler). KEYBOARD: CMStorm Quickfire Rapid-i Tenkeyless (MX Blue) MOUSE: Corsair M65 OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit

So I built my PC in May of 2015 and have had it pretty much the same ever since. I'm looking to sell it and save a bit more money on top of it so I can build a new and much better spec system. I'm aware of how much I paid for it all but I don't know what to value it at? Would someone be able to help me out? I use it most days, but I honestly don't play games as much as I expected, maybe about an hour of GTA5 a day five days a week, if even that? It's mainly a Youtube/Netflix/Word machine as I have just finished college so never had too much time. Obviously I know that that information is to be taken into account because of usage and stuff. So then, onto my specs and what I paid for them! Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 @ £42.99 CPU: AMD FX-6300 @ £77.76 RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (4x 4GB sticks) @ £91.12 GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 Palit Jetstream 4GB @ £194.99 HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB @ £59.97 SSD: Kingston 120GB SSDNow V300 @ £43.99 PSU: Aerocool Integrator 500W @ £26.92 Case: Thermaltake Versa H15 (Windowed) @ £34.99 Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO @ £25.99 Wireless Card: TP-Link TL-WN781ND @ £7.53 OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit @ £79.99 *UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10* Total: £686.24 So can someone please tell me what they think is a reasonable price to sell it at/ask for? Or maybe a reasonable starting amount for an Ebay bid? Cheers!

I'm thinking of selling one of my old rigs: Specs: i5 2500k, ASUS GTX 750Ti OC, ASUS H61-M mobo, 8 GB corsair ddr3, 1TB hard drive, 120gb ssd, 550W PSU and RGB customisable leds in an Enermax ECB2030 MATX case. How much do you guys think I could sell it off for? I didn't wanna advertise first and later find out it was an obnoxious price or anything. I'm living in Australia where a 750Ti and a 2500k are about $150AUD each. Also 8g of corsair ddr3 ram would cost $100 new. The PC still runs flawlessly, I cleaned it up and ran a few stress tests and it's completely stable. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hello beautiful Linus Tech Tips community & how is everybody doing! As you will be able to tell from my question in a moment, I am not expert when it comes to Cryptocurrencies. I have trades stocks and done well, but I've never bought/sold Cryptocurrencies. Now, if I were to purchase Ripple and decided to sell it the next week for instance, can I just unload/dump it like a stock, or does there have to be a Seller wanting to buy my Ripple currencies? https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/ Ripple has the 3rd largest Market Cap, and its value is below 25 dollar cents. I understand there are different sites, like online stock brokers, that will allow you to buy/sell Cryptocurrencies, but I don't seem to find one that sells Ripple and has an actual phone # to call. Thanks in advance.

I am currently running a EVGA GTX 1060 FTW+ DT, and I got it for $269.99 ($239.99 after rebates). I have been running it for about 2 weeks, and I was looking around ebay when I found out that they are selling for around 400 dollars. Question is: should I sell mine? I have all of the original packaging, accessories and stuff, and I am planning to get a used GT210 to keep my pc running until the entire grahpics card shortage thing is over, then spend it on a RX 580 or maybe even a Vega. Should I do it? Thanks.

Okay, so I want to get into selling stock footage. I have the gear, I have the locations, but I also have a few questions. Like, what are some regulations on images/logos/branded content? For example: could I go to a place like Disney World or Universal Studios and take random b-roll inside the parks and then sell it online? Or do I need to have some kind of special permission/license to do so? I would ask somewhere else, but this is the only forum I'm a part of. Any help is much appreciated!

Looking to sell my Logitech G810 keyboard for $90. Or, if you have a G710+ in good condition I'd be willing to trade. Selling because I'm not a fan of RGB and would prefer a cleaner white that comes with the G710+. The keyboard has been in use for a couple months, but in great shape. I clean it regularly and I can send in original packaging. If you have any questions just ask.

I got a custom built laptop from PC Specialist (never buy from them, customer support is awful) for £830 inc tax. Specs are as follows: Intel i7-4710MQ 2.5GHZ (TurboBoost up to 3.5GHz) 16GB DDR3 Ram Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M (4GB) Integrated Intel 4600 1TB WD HDD 128GB SanDisk SSD ------ 2MP Webcam Fingerprint scanner Bluetooth Friend of mind suggested about £600, what do you guys think? EDIT: Forgot to include - perfectly functional battery lasting up to 4 hours browsing and watching media

It’s been upgraded multiple times and is currently equipped with the following. i5-6600k (oc 4.6) Dark Rock Pro 3 Giagbyte Z170-XP-SLI mobo 16gb 2133mhz ram MSI Gaming X 1060 (6gb) Corsair 460x with 5 RGB fans Corsair 500w PSU 1 TB HDD 128 SSD (OS) Wifi USB Now what I’m wondering is what you think this could asking price for as a package, or if it could be better to part out.

I'm planning to sell my desktop setup to pay for a lower end laptop. I'll be going to uni in a year or two so a desktop is really inconvenient, a laptop less so. Don't plan on buying a high-end laptop, again this is only for uni. Gaming isn't really my thing any more. Thinking along the lines of an older ThinkPad with plenty of RAM and a solid quadcore. My desktop is old, specs below. I don't know what would be the best way to sell it. My options are: sell it as a gaming rig sell it as a workstation in its current state sell it as an office computer with a smaller slim case and sell the PSU and GPU separately (they won't fit in a slim case) part it out completely, doubt all parts will sell. Below are the specs of the current machine as is: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.2GHz - (manufactured in 2010, got plenty of life in it, solid CPU but definitely won't sell as a CPU on its own.) ASUS M4A78-LTM micro atx board - (unlikely to sell on its own, again in good condition.) ASUS GTX750TI - (definitely no market for these things so won't sell on its own, best off inside a desktop I guess) WD Blue 1TB @7200rpm - (it's about 4 years old so going to be on its last legs, I can afford to buy a small low capacity SSD which would be more appropriate if selling as an office computer) Corsair CS450M - (80+ Gold rate, semi-modular. Don't know how long these last but might sell on its own.) Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo - (got it a few months ago to help with thermal throttling when gaming, basically new.) NZXT H230 Black - (this case is out of production, no side window, sound insulation on panels, the top is lightly scuffed) 4GB DDR3 Corsair XMS3 @1600MHz 2x2 - (is there even a market for this anymore?) 4GB DDR3 Kingston @1600MHz 2x2 - (ditto) 2 Corsair AF120 fans Other components I've got lying around: Antex Minuet Micro-ATX slim case with 350W 80+ Bronze Power supply - (this could fit most of the components except GPU, with an SSD might sell as an office computer, I don't know. Won't really sell on its own, I doubt it) Akasa cooler - (cooler that was on before I changed to the Cooler Master.) Another thing to note, the Hyper 212 will need to be sold on its own as I can't actually fit the side panel on the desktop, it's too tall. So that's that. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the most money out of these dated components. Parting out might sell some but not most of the components; probably will not sell as a low end gaming rig (maybe some dumb kid buys it but it's by no means flashy looking); could be sold as a workstation with the GPU and HDD (it runs Fusion360 well, runs and renders in blender fairly well with the correct settings); could be sold as an office computer in the small case with an SSD and then the GPU, large case and PSU separate;; Any suggestions? Sorry for the long post.

Hey, I got a Honor 9 64GB which I want to sell and don't really know how. It's a Chinese version I suppose (If I remember correctly my neighbor bought it from a Chinese vendor/site). It says STF-AL10 on the back of the phone, but the Version/Build says it's STF-09. I would've used it but you can't unlock Huawei and Honor phones anymore sadly. 1. Do I need to specify it as a Chinese Phone? 2. Should I use Ebay or just use a site that buys used Phones? 3. I don't know if I'm able to find the original packaging. Would it matter tremendously? Any help is appreciated.
