I recently started concert photography, thus far anything photography related ive used my phone and lightroom mobile to edit but scrubbing through 2k+ photos has become quite a burden. Im looking for suggestions on a laptop that can handle lightroom/photoshop and maybe even some gaming (prefer to play destiny 2) price range is around $1k USD, ive been looking at the MSI katana 15(13650h + 4070) but it seems its lacking in the screen department in terms of editing. a desktop isnt out of the question either, but i would need to get a monitor.

Hi all, I am a graphic design/game design double major attending school in Des Moines Iowa. As part of the graphic design major, I have been tasked with designing a new app, one that I believe can help solve a niche issue. From what I know, there are very few (if any) apps on the marketplace (ios & android) that prioritize used pc parts specifically. I liue of this, I am wanting to design an app specifically for this niche group of products and would love to hear for the community as to what features you all would want in an app such as the one I am proposing. Thank you to any and all responses that I recieve! (side note: first time user of the forums here and not entirely sure how to operate all the features)

I recently upgrades my GPU and can finally play VR games with respectable performance with my Oculus quest via Oculus link. H3VR runs great with my new 5700XT, which is impressive because of the amount of physics in that game. I'm now looking at which VR games to pick up next. First, I already own a copy of Beatsaber for Oculus Quest, and am thinking about buying it for SteamVR. What I wanna know is whether the SteamVR version, with PC hardware performance, and PC specific mods and features, is different enough from the quest version to warrant another purchase of the game. Second, I've heard really good things about half life Alyx, and also that playing it on high settings is fairly system Intensive. Right now it's on sale for $45, but I'm planning on eventually upgrading to a Valve Index, which comes with the game for free. I just have no idea when this would be, weeks months or years into the future, so I need to decide whether to buy it now or just get it for free when I upgrade. I'm also planning on picking up FNAF:VR but I'm not really conflicted on that so not really anything to talk about there. Thanks

Just in case anyone was looking, the 3600 is on sale for $179 at Newegg. I got an email on it today and picked one up to replace my 2600. Link Full disclosure, sometimes Newegg required you be subscribed to their sales emails to get the prices listed, but I don't find them too bothersome.

Waddup fam, I work for Hewlett Packard Enterprise specifically in the server sales department. Y'all could start a series on how enterprise tech trickles down into consumer tech. Another option could be partnering/ helping these small startup companies create infrastructure/ give tips on how to successfully run a small business (accounting, marketing, advertising, sales, etc.). A different path would be to help smaller creators get exposure to sponsorship opportunities while taking a referral fee. Anyways.... if yall want to check out Nimble Storage (full solid state storage, and or compute servers HMU). Its like 3AM and I have work at 7.. fantastic.

Im planning on making a pc for the first time and I can see that Newegg is having a sale right now. parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/MadeInChina_O69/saved/3TxFt6 If I get the parts now I will save ~$100. Im asking if I should buy now because most of the parts on my list wont have that derastic price changes so I might aswell get all of them together. Im asking if I should wait because the next gen intel cores are coming out soon so are next gen nvidea cards and would it be better to just pass out this sale and wait till the next gen stuff are anounced?

Hello guys real quick question. As all you know that amds gpus are used in consoles and imacs so i just been wondering what is the actual market share compared to nvidias shouldn,t they outsell Nvidias gpu by a huge margin ?

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, this post is for informational and entertainment purposes only. Consult a tax professional for more information or before making any decision. For the most part, the way sales tax works in the states is that if you are a retailer and have a "nexus" in a state (meaning various things, but a primary test is a warehouse or employees) the retailer must collect and remit tax to that state on sales made to the final retail consumer. If you have no nexus, you do not have to collect and remit (for many states, retailers can "opt-in" to collecting but usually do not due to liability) sales tax. If the retailer does not collect tax, it is the responsibility of the buyer to remit Use Tax (a companion tax to Sales Tax) to your state, most commonly on your personal tax return. In exchange for not having to collect in remit, retailers may have to supply sales records in a particular state on the request/subpoena of that state. Failure to accurately or estimate-in-good-faith your untaxed retail purchases is generally your liability. This is done to simplify the sales tax schemes of retailers, primarily to the beinifiet of small and indie businesses (such as eBay and Etsy sellers) who would be crushed by the burden of having to track the vast multitude of rates, methods, schemes. Please ask your tax preparer to make sure you are not failure to declare needed purchases and carefully read the instructions on your states tax return.

So Nintendo has updated their sales data for their Products. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/finance/hard_soft/index.html this is great news for nintendo fans it means that they are closer to hitting their 20M units sold this year. hopefully this means we get some good 3rd party switch games that arent dodgy ports but games made specifically for the console. because its obvious that large AAA titles ie CP2077 wont come to the switch because its too slow so we have to hope devs get interested in making specific games.

The chart and table shows sales of gaming consoles the week before Christmas in Japan (Dec 18-24). Here are a few things I would like to share with you guys: 1. The Switch stormed the market like crazy. After 9 months the Switch is still going strong, and when you take it's small library of games into consideration, I think one can see the strategy Nintendo has been taking for their new product. I think it's become very likely that there will be a Switch 2 and it will come sooner than later. 2. Xbox One X sales. 24 is definitely not cool, but the Japanese never really liked the Xbox line up. The same happened to the original Xbox One as well. There are many reasons in relation to the Japanese context that I can raise to explain the Xbox One situation in Japan, but I find it interesting to see the Wii U, which I would call it essentially a failure from Nintendo as a Nintendo fan, and the last-gen PS3, selling better than the Xbox One X. 3. Handheld vs Home Console Handheld consoles are huge in Japan, but I think the demand just got bigger thanks to the Switch. The Switch, the DS series, even the Vita… With Nintendo dominating the genre I wonder if Sony or perhaps microsoft is willing to compete with them again. I also wonder if the new Intel+Radeon Chip is going to have any impact on the handheld console development. Would like to know what you think on these issues, or you can share what you find interesting about the current console market.

I'm in the midst of putting together my annual Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and everything in between and all around Holiday Deals list. I do this each year to keep organized all the deals for myself but share it in a Google Doc for other to use too. Just don't buy out the things I'm trying to get! Also, I update it fairly frequently during the next couple weeks so feel free to check back.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-_NF0QvxGSCyKZ3r6xg0mS4xlrlVY8EJtrAL2osyfg0/edit?usp=sharing

First of all, I know this forum, it is like reddit so I don't expect any quality reply from this question. I am not a hater, I am just plain curious. I follow them since 2010 and I'm only happy to see that they're successful. The question still stands because honestly it might prove useful to me in the future if I reach such a level of "popularity". How much do they get per sponsor? I know it depends, that it's variable and the sponsor name and "size" matters a lot, I'm also assuming there's some sort of NDA on that information but still, an estimate would be nice. You can feel free to estimate (using that inch of your brain that can answer seriously and not with memes and other retarded stuff) a quote, and we'll discuss if it makes sense. Sponsors like Ting, TunnelBear, SquareSpace, DBrand... how much do they give him? Usually he does receive free stuff for reviews/projects from brands like Intel, Razer, Seagate but what about those that just buy Ad Space? I'm curious.

Source: https://www.kitguru.net/lifestyle/mobile/apple/matthew-wilson/apple-reportedly-cuts-down-iphone-8-production/ It looks like Apple may have already started decreasing production on the iPhone 8. This is the soonest Apple have ever reduced production of a new flagship. Obviously there are a number of people holding out for the iPhone X, but with recent data showing that iPhone 7 sales are outperforming the iPhone 8, I think there could also be a large number of people who just don’t think that the 8 and the X are worth the much higher price tags. The seven is still a great phone and in my opinion probably the best value of everything being offered right now. I have jumped from the 6 to the 8 Plus, which is a huge difference for me, especially in the battery life are, but having used a friends 7 Plus I can’t honestly say that the 8 is worth the extra money over what you can get the seven for right now. Could this year be a year of new iPhone fatigue?

One popular site in EU to buy PC-parts from in EU is mindfactory.de; especially if you live in expensive countries like Finland and Sweden (I've lived in both). Their prices are far lower than anything offered in either aforementioned countries. Last time I bought something from them was in November 2016, without any issues and I was really happy with the speed and service of the store. However, yesterday (29 Aug 2017) I tried to make a new order. But it was not possible. When trying to check-out it just said that "Shipping outside of Germany is not possible". I sent an email to their helpdesk and asked the following: Rather swiftly I received a reply: So it seems like they have completely abandoned the European market, unless you order as a company/entrepreneur that has a valid VAT ID-number. Just thought I'd share this discovery, as I haven't found any other posts on the Internet discussing this matter.

So i wanted to present to the community a new alternative to Steam : Good Old Games See,Steam has been the mainstream pc games vendor trough time. The problem is,they had and still have monopoly over pc games distribution. As such they could do and still do whatever they want with games. This gives Steam no reason to improve or aim for better services. This has led to a very good platform with sales and everything, but no true freedom of choice as you are arbitrarily forced to log on the internet, plus, the games are all DRM,wich Good old games does not do such things. Good Old Games aims to bring back the time where we TRULY owned our games, where we simply shoved our games in our computers and consoles and played right away with no arbitrary rules or client to be able to play or install our games. Especially with the brand new 1.2 client!!! Another advantage with this new client and distributor is that you can simply download an OFFLINE installer for your games ,put it on any media you want, and reinstall it without requiring the client to reinstall. Anyway,i won't try and convice you as this could take all day. instead, i will give you all a link to their website and video introduction. Enjoy! an may the Golden age of gaming come back https://www.gog.com/

just saw a post on a Chinese forum. It said that for all of the video games sale on all platforms, console versions always have more sales than pc versions. So we assume that console gamers are more than pc gamers for most of the time. So which side do you guys prefer and how do you think about all-platform games sell more on consoles? that post said American and European people seem normally can get about several thousand dollars income, a pc costs several hundred dollars or even thousand dollars seems not such a big deal, is that true for most of you?
