PROJECT HAS BEEN SCRAPPED - I switched to the Air 240. While I liked the S340, I wanted the more compact size of the mATX case and the Air 240 has a construction perfect for my mods. Concept: After completing my custom made white carbon fiber desk, I felt my NZXT Source 210 was due for an upgrade. I wanted a white case that was sleek and simple to mod. Therefore, it was a no brainer to go with the S340. The goal is not really to spec out my computer (though I am considering it), but a white and pinkish-red theme that looks good. One thing I have always wanted to do is incorporate an Arduino or RPi to add additional function to the case and I am going to add in a touchscreen to the front of the case (see renders below) to not only monitor CPU and GPU temps, but also control leds and fans via PWM as well as a backup function that was inspired by a DIYPerks video. Renders: Parts List: Current Setup AMD FX-4300 @ 4.4Ghz Corsair H100i V2 Cooler (inb4 people say overkill, I got it for free) MSI 970A-G43 Motherboard 12GB G.Skill Trident X Memory AMD Radeon HD 6670 GPU 550W XFX Bronze PSU 240GB Kingston SSD 1TB Seagate HDD Progress: nothing yet, but demos of the features of the touchscreen and arduino will be coming soon.

Hi, I can't dicide between these cases. I want a durable case with good positions for fans to keep my pc cooled. I watched a lot videos and reviews about these cases, but still can't decide which one to go with. Under some videos there were comments about P400/P400S that it is the murderer of S340 but somewhere I have read that P400 has a terrible airflow and S340 is better... What case do you have/did you have and which is better in your opinion, and why? Thank you.

Do you know of other comparable cases? AFAIK they're the only 2 cases with little space from mobo area to front intake that fit an ATX mobo. That isn't a specific thing I can search for, not a box I can tick on PCPartPicker to narrow my search. For example the Define S and Corsair 400C are of the same class (ATX Mid), yet just look at space usage difference! Is the Corsair 400C really the only case competing with the NZXT S340, or are there other options?

So I have NZXT S340 case, and just wondering if 280mm rad from EKWB would fit into my case. It allows 2x 140mm fan in front, but radiator seems to be bigger than just normal fan. Can it be done without destroying my case ? p.s.: no idea where to post this ... case or water cooling forum

I mentioned that this build was 'coming soon' a while ago... I built this for my cat with a budget of $500 which included the paint, figurine, etc. These aren't updated so the EPS cable which uses a white sleeved extension and the 2x4GB red HyperX Fury sticks aren't in the photos.. I borrowed a camera for the this so I might eventually post some updated photos. The backplate was made out of handmade out poly-carbonate as an experiment but the look didn't really match. Hello everyone, So i have recently started saving up money for a new gaming pc and i have chose the nzxt s340 as my case. I'll be getting a i7 6700k and i would like to water cool it with a Corsair H100i. The thing is that the corsair H100i contains two radiators which will mean the only place i would be able to place it is at the front of the case where there are two fans which are supposed to pull air inside the case. What i'm trying to know is whether there will be good airflow in the case even if the two front fans are occupied by the water cooler and if i can, and should make the radiators of the water cooler pull air inside or push it outside. I believe a double radiator water cooler wouldn't be a problem since at NZXT's site which presents the s340 along with alot of tech youtubers (including Linus) show the case with a water cooler at the front of the case. I would really appreciate if someone suggests me a way to have the best airflow in this case. For example, i was thinking that the top and single back fan pull air inside while the water cooler fans push the air outwards. I'm still not sure though so i would like your opinion. Anyways, thanks for reading this and sorry if this was a dull question.

Hi! I have a build in my NZXT S340, that has been working fine for about 3 months, but recently, I've been having to press and hold down the power button more than once, and sometimes for more than 10 seconds. I have tried flipping the power switch connector, trying different pins, and I also turned on my system by shorting out the pins with no problems. (Don't think it's a MOBO issue) I hope I don't have to RMA this. Thanks! Video of problem:

I am planning on overclocking my Intel core i5 6600k. I am putting it in a nzxt s340 case. I would like to liquid cool the cpu the only thing is I have very limited knowledge on liquid cooling and the different options that I have. I know that there are clearance issues with the s340 and I dont know what would fit and what would be effective. I would like it to be on the cheaper side, as I have a budget.

Hello, I am going to try to mod my S340s cable management bar to house a reservoir. I will make a log if I ever get around to making this res. It is going to be 2 pieces of hollowed out plexi epoxied together. I am trying to go for an EK kind of clouded look, and use blue pastel for the coolant. Before I do this, I was wondering if anyone knew of any G 1/4 taps that would work for fittings?

Hey everyone! I am building a small air cooled pc, and was stuck between the s340 and the evolv itx, both look gorgeous but what should I go for? Thanks a ton!

Hi, I am going to buy a new case and I can't decide between these two. Does anyone have these cases or can tell me which case should I get? Thank you

So I'm looking for a new case, specifically something in the $80 range with a side panel window. I've narrowed it down to these two. Both have windows, great cable management options, and a PSU shroud. However, each has one exclusive feature that I really like. The S340 comes in black and red. The P400 makes up for this with RGB LED lighting at the bottom. Which would you guys suggest and why? Or would you suggest something else, what, and why?

Hey. I'll soon be getting a h100i v2 to replace my current Hyper 212 as the cooler for my 5820k. I'll put 2 sp120's on the h100i, and replace the two NZXT stocks in the case with AF120's. How should i arrange the airflow though? This was my plan: Top: intake Rear: exhaust Two on radiator: intake What do you think?

Hi guys. I recently finished a build with the S340 and I can't seem to get one of the USB 3.0 ports working (the other one works) and the front panel audio going. I've got it connected to the PSU and the headers plugged into the HD Audio/USB 3.0 slots on the motherboard but they don't seem to work. The HDD LED and power button works fine, too. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong apart from a faulty case?

What case do you prefer?

I am thinking of doing a Red/Black build and want to use the NZXT S340. What happened to the one with the red stripe down the side at the front like in the picture? I much prefer that one.

Hi there! I'm building my first desktop ever and my setup is going to be the NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case. With the RAM I decided to go with CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB). For the Processor I decided to go with the AMD 8 core FX-8320 and a NZXT Kraken X61 all in one liquid cpu cooling solution. The motherboard is going to be the MSI Gaming 970 AM3+ (slightly on a budget will invest into a better one later). For my graphics card I will be using the ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 980 Overclocked 4 GB (the motherboard supports 2.0 PCIE where as the gtx 980 used 3.0 so again another reason why to invest into a better motherboard in the future ). For my PSU I will be using the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 80+ gold 650w continuous power. For my OS I decided with Windows 8.1 because it's what I'm familiar with and also because so much was changed in windows 10 that I found myself pulling my hair out trying to use it. For my storage I went with a Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD SATA 6Gb/s, I wanted to get a SSD but it just wasn't in the budget this time will buy one later on. Since the NZXT S340 doesn't have a optical disk drive i decided to go with a inexpensive LG electronics one that I found on amazon for around 25 dollars. For my thermal compound I went with Arctic Silver 5 high density thermal compound (again a high rated inexpensive one that I found on amazon for 8 dollars). My monitor I will be using will just be my Samsung syncmaster P2770HD full hd TV I use for gaming already. It's able to go up to 60hz so I will be investing in the future to a 1440p tv that can go up to 120/144hz since my graphics card will have power to do so. And then for my keyboard i went with a AULA LED Backlit Gaming Keyboard it was the highest rated on amazon and it was relatively cheap. My desktop will need wifi from time to time so I went with a Edimax EW-7811Un 150 mbps nano usb adapter (already tested it out managed to double wifi speeds on my Laptop so I highly recommend it). That's my whole build please feel free to leave comments and if anyone has any recommendations on the best airflow setup since I will be for now using the stock fans that come attached to the case I'd love to hear them. I think for now the best set up would be to use the kraken water cooler as an intake and the other 2 fans as outtake but again please feel free. Cheers

I have a NZXT S340 case and Hyper 212+ that I'm currently but I wanted to switch to liquid cooling for better temps and aesthetics. My budget is about $75 and I was going to buy a LEPA AquaChanger 240 as it seems like a great cooler based off the reviews and fits my budget. My current fan layout is 2x 140mm intake fans (front), 1x 140mm exhaust (top), and 1x 120mm exhaust (rear). If I get this cooler, the 240mm radiator will have to replace my 2 intake fans, leaving my case without any cool air flowing in. Because of that, I was wondering if it would be better to get a 120/140mm radiator and replace my rear exhaust with it rather than sacrificing both my intake fans for a 240mm radiator. Thoughts/suggestions? PC Specs: NZXT S340 i7-2600k OC to 4.5GHz Hyper 212+ Sapphire R9 390 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

I plan to paint the cable management bar on a black nzxt s340. It's black in color from the factory so i'm afraid if i spray it green it'll come out dark green. does spraying on some primer first prevent that?

Hello, I am interested in buying a nzxt s340 razer edition and I have a question about the case lighting. Is it powered by white leds with green plastic / glass or are the leds green and the plastic / glass transparent. I'm asking this to know if replacing the default leds with rgb ones is an option.

Just as the title suggests, I am wondering if anyone has had experience with the NZXT S340. It looks to be super stylish and quite affordable from NewEgg. My only concerns is cooling. Does it draw in air from the top and bottom through the front? Would that be enough air flow to maintain a system that is not being overclocked? Yes, I think Linus did a review on this case or looked over it, so I will be sure to go back and find those vids. Do you think this is a good case? Do you have any recommendations for the price point on style as well? Anything will be an upgrade from my old budget friendly (sub $25) Rosewill case. Thanks,

Just wanted to share this NZXT S340 that i painted green for my buddy today the psu shroud may look greenish, but i assure you it's not in person regular aerosol paint if anybody wants to know here is it's temporary setup so me and my buddy can lan for a few days before it's going to get the custom loop treatment

Anyone know why it's so popular? From what I've heard the general consensus is that it's good looking and the small footprint dimensions are good, but it doesn't really seem to have much else going for it? What's airflow like? Can someone recommend some similarly priced cases that are decent in terms of airflow and noise?
-
Basically what the title says. Overall modest set up but with a radiator of some sort depending on the case. Which do you all prefer? (especially if you own one of them) Any major cons to either case that you've noticed in use would be hugely appreciated. I know the 400C hasn't gotten into any hands so really just want to hear if the owners of the S340 would switch or stay with their current case.
