So I have this MacBook Pro 13" Early 2015 and its display got damaged. I have mistakenly already bought the LCD panel and not the Display Assembly which would have been easier to fix, so what is done is done now. I am thinking of attempting this fix by myself cause no re-seller or third party accepting the job of fixing it. And, yes I have opened a MacBook before just, not the LCD. If I take it to professionals abroad it is going to take more than the cost of the laptop itself. The suggestion I am looking for is which adhesive should I be using to stick my LCD and the Assembly if you know what I am talking about please suggest to me something. Are 3m Double Sided Foam Adhesive Tapes good for the job?

Ok, so this is a bit of a strange one I guess. So basically, my grandparents upgraded their Wi-Fi router to the new BT smart hub 2 (a bit overkill since their old one was basically the same speed as my current one) and my question is can I like for like replace their old hub with my other grandad's current one (I keep a backup PC there, and he is using the ORIGINAL BT home hub so I can't run smooth videos any higher than 360/ 480p without severe lag. So all I want to do is go there and take my grandparents old bt hub 5 and swap it for his BT hub 1. Any more details reqired and I'll try to give.

DFI P55 T3eH9 MOSFET fried when i tried to turn it on. Luckily it didn't kill the CPU or other components. Two MOSFET fried, the rest are assumed short, and there were no leaked/ exploded caps. I want to replace the MOSFET chips on it. But, there's something that made me a little bit confused: info on the MOSFET chipsWhen i searched the MOSFET, it was found that it came from Magnachip. MDU2657 and MDU2655. But, what made me confused is the AJ217AGG and AF218AGG1. What does AJ217AGG and AF218AGG means in Magnachip MOSFET?2. I found lots of MDU2657 and MDU2655 chips on Ebay, but unlike mine. Does this AF218/ AJ217 whatever really matters? Like, they're must the same if you want to replace the MOSFET yourself? So far i only found MDU2657-DD047EGF and MDU2655-EC147DGG. There were NONE of MDU2657-AF218AGG and MDU2655-AJ217AGG chipsImage of fried MOSFET (picture taken before the red marked MOSFET fried)

Recently I had to replace my x99 motherboard due to a USB overcurrent issue preventing me from booting. My new motherboard is used (obviously) and has built in wifi/bt. It has the connectors on the back for the antenna, but when I bought an antenna it was too large to fit the connectors. I didn't realize that the connectors are smaller than ones on a typical router. I have searched for information on what kind of connectors these are on the back of my motherboard, and I can't find anything conclusive. Does anyone know the specific name of the connectors on the motherboard? Hello, I bought a g903 back in 2017 and it has worked great up until recently it has been double clicking. I just received the replacement and I looked it up and many people have double clicking issues with the g903. Do you think it would be best to sell the replacement and go with a different mouse/brand and if so which mouse? (i have not opened the replacement yet, the mouse to the right in the picture is the old one). Thank you in advance

I recently purchased this 2U JBOD system here on a Scratch & Dent deal. As far as I've seen so far the chassis itself is completely free of marks but the PSU grill that protects the fan is completely smashed in and the fan is wreaked. I didn't really trust the PSU to begin with so I want to replace it. Due to the 2U form factor the PSU must use an 80mm fan on the front/back it cannot use a 120mm top/bottom fan. It'd be completely suffocated. Does anyone know of a well branded PSU that meets this spec? One that's not considerably overpriced for the wattage? I'm looking for ~400W with ~30+A on the 12V rail. Worst comes to worst I'll buy an SFX PSU and just make a custom bracket for it.

Hi All - Over the weekend moved to a new spot and my monitor did not survive the move. Was hoping to see if anyone had a good recommendation on where to get a possible panel replacement. Model: Samsung LC43J890DKNXZA (43" CJ890 Super Ultra-Wide Curved Monitor) Panel: BN95-04362D One quote - from a Samsung recommended repair parter was $866, more than what I could buy a new monitor for. Hoping to see if there is a better option. Local to PDX. Thanks all!

Hey, everyone! Now, the following is going to sound really dumb and I wanted to quickly note that I am aware of that... Well, it all started when I was cleaning my laptop with a wet paper towel(it wasn't dripping, but enough to leave some water behind that I'd later wipe off with a dry towel); there was some water left on it, which I wiped off. When I got to using it, though, I noticed that - in spite of multiple reboots - a few keys weren't working and the touch pad was behaving weirdly at times, too. This had me thinking some water might have dripped down and was now causing all of the issues mentioned, so I took a hair dryer to my laptop. Yes, a very dumb decision indeed. As it's kind of late, my room isn't that brightly lit and I didn't think about it too much. After the keys weren't working after about 5 minutes total of being warmed up with the hair dryer(with 10-20 minutes of breaks in between), they - still - weren't working, so I got a little more aggressive. As I already mentioned, given how dark it was in my room, I couldn't really see what I was doing. I turned up the heat, and after a while, I saw keys starting to come off, which probably looked just about as bad as you think: They had shrunken and were deformed, causing them to fall off. I tried using my old laptop's keys as replacement ones, but it seems like they're to short by about one millimeter in each direction. After a few unsuccesful tries of re-melting and "re-modeling" the keys, I went online in order to look for replacement keys, but I couldn't find any. I know it was a really dumb thing to do, but could you please still help me getting replacement ones(only the keycaps are melted)? ? PS: My laptop is a Jumper EZBook 3 Pro...

Hello All, I've got a Toshiba Satellite Pro R50-B-12V Laptop which the battery capacity is getting weak. The replacement batteries that can be purchased will work of course but the capacity is much lower than what i'm looking for and will only provide me with 1-2 hours of use out of them between charges. Which is why I'm looking at replacing the Lithium-ion cells that are in the battery myself with new cells. I'm not sure what cells are currently in the laptop battery, all I know is it is a 14.8V at 2800mAh - 45Wh - 4 Cell. I've looked around and want to make sure that I get a good brand of lithium-ion cells which would provide the best replacement for what is currently in the battery. The cells i have currently found is 4x 18650 Samsung 26F H Rechargeable Battery Li-ion 3.7v cells 2600mah or the Samsung 18650 30B Li-Ion 3000mAh 3.8v. Are the above lithium-ion cells i found a suitable replacement? if so then great and if not can anyone provide me with suggestions of cells to use instead. I know to avoid the UltraFire cells since they tend to be unprotected and much lower than stated capacities. Thanks in Advance.

Hello, After serving me faithfully for 3 years, my Logitech H390 USB A headset has broke. It still functionally works, but the right ear piece snapped, and is holding on by the wires. I could try and repair it, but I think it's time I upgrade or just replace. Any suggestions? ($50.00 and below is the budget)

Hey everyone, got a question about what's a good replacement for my current RB 15 2018 Advanced (1070 MaxQ model with 1080p 144 Hz display and 512 GB SSD). Basically, I've had this laptop for 16-17 months now, and almost since day 1 it had weird problems, random BSODs, random reboots during boot up (it would reboot like 5 times before booting to Windows), complete Windows failures (it won't boot to Windows, and no way to fix it, have to have a full format). Even had a few instances where after a complete SSD wipe and Windows reinstall the first boot I would just keep getting weird BSODs that forced me to do an immediate reinstall. The last thing that failed was the battery. I usually use my laptop on a stand as a workstation, but I had to use it like a laptop (shocker) and I noticed I couldn't click the trackpad, and sure enough, the battery was bulging (15 months after I bought it!). Now after replacing the battery I'm thinking of flipping it and taking the loss, but I'm not sure what to buy next... These are my "dream" specs that a laptop should have: i7-9750H 16 GB RAM (upgradable to 32, I'm looking at you Alienware M15 R2) 1660Ti or higher (2060, 2070) a decent battery (70+ ? Wh) 144 Hz FHD display Glass precision trackpad (glass part is preferred, but basically, trackpad has to be good) And lastly, a decent built quality, because going from RB 15 and its aluminium unibody, I don't want a plasticky flashy turd lol. I'm in Serbia, but I could get a laptop from any of the EU countries (i.e. amazon.de and and preferably any of the German retail sites) Thanks for any suggestions! edit: Also, should I just flip it and get the RB 15 with a 2070 (but I think they're still using 8750H?), if their quality is up?

I was just minding my own business playing a bit of classic wow when all of a sudden, POP! Fuse box tripped in my house and the lovely smell of fried components rose from my beloved PC I think I have a 10 year warranty on the PSU from corsair but it was bought in 2012, what I'm mainly worried about is the rest of the computer. How likely is it that other components are dead? Is there any harm in me buying a replacement PSU and simply turning it on again? I dont want to make things worse. Also, the information about what minimum watts I need for my build all conflict with each other. Cpu r5 3600 Ram 16gb ddr4 corsair 3600 Gpu 5700xt red devil Would I be good with a nice 650w from say corsair? Or should I change brands to avoid the possibility of another grenade being inside my psu? It was loud and I might need to change my pants... Thanks!

Hey Ya'll, I bought an Asus FX553VD-DM483 Laptop with my saved up student money back in 2017. For the money it's been great value, but the shitty TN panel in it's been driving me up the wall. Where can I look for a replacement matte IPS screen online (which ships to India). Good color space coverage would be a juicy icing on the cake!

So a friend of my decided while we were playing some games at a lan party at his place yesterday to pull out his sword collection, little did we know that my screen decided to collect its sheath right into the screen. Needless to say the screen is cracked and gone. While i am happy that this means that i get a new monitor now i am hoping to repair my old one so that i can have a dual monitor setup now. The issue is i have no idea where to start looking for a new screen for it. Any help with this would be appreciated. Old monitor is a AOC I2754FH. While i like my new screen (Acer ET322QR) i really preferred my old screen as it was smaller and easier to work with.

Hi there, Friends recommended me this forum for the very useful guidance in tech matters. As the title mentioned, I'm looking for a smartphone between €200-250 in Belgium. Since 2014 I'm using the Motorola Moto G 2nd gen, but unfortunatly the battery is no longer functional (the battery no longer charges and no sign of life is given when the usb cable is plugged in). Additionally the lackluster 1GB of RAM and the outdated processor caused some frustrations when applications froze on a frequent basis, as such a replacement is needed. I would describe myself as a light to average smartphone user, as I mainly use my smartphone as an agenda and reading mails, browsing the internet such as reddit, 9gag and instagram. Occasionally I watch youtube videos and take pictures mainly for chat messages. Currently I have identified Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (4GB RAM, 64 GB memory) in the price point I've mentionned above. Do you guys reckon that this is a good and durable phone {It has to survive at least as long as my now dead Moto G 2nd gen }? Alternatively what would you guys suggest instead? Kind regards, StivII

The Motherboard of my Dell e7250 with the i7 processor died, and i dont have warranty on it anymore. luckily, every part in this laptop is replaceable, so you can cange even the motherboard. The bad thing is that the motherboard with the same processor as on mine (i7 5600u) costs over 300€ in my country, so i thought it might be possible to use another mainboard. This would be the motherboard from the dell e7250 but with an Intel i5-5300U cpu on it. If i put the other mainboard into the laptop, would that work? Greetings, Rainer.

Hi, i have second handed Zotac 1080 Ti Mini, but 100mm fan is clicking. I have now 2 options, buy new cheap ones from AliExpress or use Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV. Has anybody same card with Accelero installed or someone with better solution ? I am from Czech Republic so my options may be little bit limited.

Hey there, I was thinking to myself: is it possible to get a new motherboard for an existing model (like Note9) without salvaging another phone? By that I mean, in a way from a factory where it was made. Also, what do you think - when do critical replacement parts become available for purchase in the internet after the initial release of a new smart phone? P.S. Hoping to gain a lead on Note9 and its parts availability! They are really scarce.

Hello guys! I had my PC for around 2 years already and I really hate the sound, which the PSU makes (It's a no-name brand chinese 450W-ish unit) and I recently saved up a bit of money to replace it. Now, in my region, PSUs are generally rare and if you get lucky and find a good one, it's overpriced, but I found a Corsair P5-550 for 20ish USD and I'm wondering if it's worth buying. Currently, I have a 3570 and a 1050 in my rig, but I'm planning to get a 570, so should I pair it with this? Corsair is a good brand and spec sheet looks good, but I couldn't find any reviews on it so that's why I came here. The link to the PSU: https://bprice.ge/zar97?_route_=zar97&tag= What do you guys think?

Hey, just curious if there is a drop in replacement for this. I'm not entirely sure if this is a bog standard IR sensor or if there is some specific factor I need to take into consideration for it. Any specsheets for it? Anything specific I should keep in mind when looking for a drop-in replacement?

So im planning my first build soon, and im worried about the parts being faulty. But to find out which part is broken I have to replace the part I think is faulty and test it. But what if I dont have spare parts? what would I have to do then?
