He seen the PowerColor teasing the a new Devil, and now looks like someone got the first picture. Looks like a crazy card, 3 fan, nice 8 power connector, they clain should be good enough for 1400+ overclocks! http://videocardz.com/61769/exclusive-powercolor-radeon-rx-480-devil-pictured Can't wait to get a pair of them.

http://videocardz.com/61404/powercolor-teases-new-devil-graphics-card-rx-480 Looks like they will have their custom RX480 cards pretty soon, I wonder if there will be a custom Dual 480 and if that will match 1070 on performance! That would be good! Their Devil cards always, aside from the Hybrid one, look amazing...

So, in another topic, I was talking about making my own server and such, and I decided the best chip to go with would be the amd athlon x4 860k (over the pentium I was offered). I need to couple it with a dGPU (I was going to anyway...), and I found two that are in my price-range. I kinda didn't go to far beyond the realm of 2013, so gtx 600 series and radeon hd weren't quite as looked through... And after looking at the gtx 750's pricing, I just said to heck with it. I'm going to keep choices down to 2. Anyway, I am looking at a refurbished sapphire r7 260x (1GB GDDR5) and a new powercolor r7 250x (2GB GDDR5 <-- very important to take note of). The Sapphire is more expensive at $15 (after rebate), which made me wonder, is it really all that much better? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202130 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131662 Experience or just speculation is welcomed. I also want to buy this thing soon, so I can catch the rebate it I do end up picking the 250x. Thnx in advance. --robinspi

Does anyone have experience with the PowerColor R9 390? I'm strongly considering saving up to get a new GPU, after I purchase a better power supply of course. I feel like the 390 is a solid choice because it's a big upgrade from my 7850 without being crazy expensive. I really like the look of the one by PowerColor, but I worry that the lower price compared to the other 390's may mean that it is lesser quality. What are your thoughts, and would you recommend this card? Any and all help is appreciated!

This is a plead for help from anyone, anyone who has a PowerColor PCS+ R9 290. The stock BIOS/Firmware is well known to crash randomly. Updated BIOS was realeased by raymond.hsu@powercolor.com, but I'm not sure is he still works for PowerColor. If anyone has this card with the new BIOS, please send it to me. I want my card to be usable. Thank you all.

OK, so I posted on here before about this and how I am going to RMA this card, but I've been addicted to playing my games that I never have yet! So far I've added a fan and my temperature on NBA 2k16, Shadow of mordor, and rainbow six seige, averages 80-85 degrees (pretty much the only graphically demanding games I play and 2k16 is just not optimized) Here is a video of my graphic card under the shadow mordor benchmark in high settings. After you see the video please tell me why the card is so hot and making that noise! And I know that I will eventually have to RMA the card... IMG_3225.MOV IMG_3226.MOV

Looks big. Draws a lot of power, Can break your mobo lol?. Performs as expected. You could get CF setup for cheaper. But it comes packaged with a 100 dollar mouse. My opinion : dont like it, CF setup looks better than this. Graphs are in the links bellow. Hello, i am posting here because i have bought a R9 280x VTX3D (powercolor rebrand in europe) to replace my Radeon HD 6790 nearly 1 month ago, and lately it is acting quite weird, but i dont know what is wrong. I have a Corsair GS600w bronze+ (i know it is the previous generation of the CX600, but 5 years ago i didnt know much about electronics and computer hardware). The 6790 was pretty far pushed with a custom bios flashed, about 1020mhz on the core and 1200mhz on the mem speed, but there were no issues at all with 2HDD and 1 ssd, paired with my i5 2320@ 3Ghz. The problem is now, with the 280x, i have pushed it at 1100Mhz on the core and 1625 mhz on the mem speed, and after some weeks it started acting weird (i stress tested for 3 hours without any problems), like pc shutdowns, no image on the screen(while the music in the background playing normally) and i decided to back down a little. Now i am on 1000Mhz on the core and 1500Mhz on the mem speed.(note that the card out of box has 1050mhz on the core and1500mhz on the mem speed), but it still shutdowns/black screen , even when i am just surfing the web. I did some research and found out that my system nearly draws about 590w. Would the cards weird function be a psu's problem, or is the gpu faulty? how i can find out ?

Hello all, I have a PowerColor TurboDuo Radeon R9 280x OC edition that has a core clock of 1030MHz out of the box and a memory clock of 1500MHz out of the box. I am most likely going to be using MSI Afterburner or the Radeon settings to overclock the card. My question is how far can I push this card and keep it stable? My case has good air flow and the card normally under a stress test stays relatively cool. Update: With overclock my max core clock is 1210MHz and my memory clock is at 1550MHz, I can go higher with memory clock but for some reason I have to lower my core clock other wise it becomes unstable in games. So core clock on over clock is a 180MHz boost. Which makes a noticeable difference when playing a game.

Merry Christmas! Formalities out of the way. I got a nice little gift of a few hundred dollars and a new case for my computer (Noctis 450). Tomorrow (December 26), I plan on heading over to MicroCenter to pick up the rest my computer's parts. I'm planning on buying an R9 390 (too lazy to order online) in store tomorrow. Which brand of GPU should I buy? I don't care too much about performance, but my color theme is Red/White/Black.

Today on NCIX.com, the FuryX listings for Powercolor and Club3D were updated with images. Gigabyte's listing still remains imageless, but that should change soon as these cards "launch" tomorrow, with NDA lifting at this time. As you can see, the variety of different coolers is a breath of fresh air /s. Of interest is the minimum power supply requirement: 500W. Does a 500w power supply with 2x8-pin pci-e connectors exist? (probably, I just don't know off hand) It appears that the fan of all places is where these companies decided to place their branding (or as some have pointed out, shopped the image). Hopefully the stickers are centered properly to avoid fan wobble. It should go without saying that all FuryX cards are reference design only. The non-x Fury is supposed to have custom boards/cooling however. http://www.ncix.com/detail/powercolor-r9-fury-x-1050mhz-c0-110441.htm http://www.ncix.com/detail/club3d-radeon-fury-x-1050mhz-cd-110467.htm Newegg.ca http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202155 Sapphire at Hardware Zone Singapore (pricing in Singapore Dollars) http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/hardware-clinic-2/%5Bgpu-review%5D-sapphire-amd-r9-fury-x-rise-5087633.html courtesy of @Mulsanne

If any of you have this card, or any experience with it, will it produce a tonne of heat after being overclocked? The summers where I live can reach 40+ degrees, and I would appreciate any advice. Cheers!

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between two graphics cards, A Radeon R9 285 from Powercolor that costs £139.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-175-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1983 and a Radeon R9 280 from MSI that costs £149.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-251-MS I'll be using them on one 1080p monitor for playing games like Company of Heroes 2, Cities: Skylines, Gran Theft Auto 5 and Garry's Mod. From what I've been reading up, the 280 has more VRAM so better for large textures like in Skyrim and probably GTA5 when it finally comes out (and potentially more future proof maybe?) but the 285 performs a little bit better in frame rates and is based on newer GCN technology. To be honest I'm not to bothered about things like Freesync or TrueAudio just yet, I will when the 300 series comes out and I buy my ultra high end graphics card, this is something I'm investing in for a couple of months until the 300 series is released and the prices normalize a bit (as they're always crazy when they just come out!). So looking for your ideas guys on which is better purely for playing games, thanks!

I recently got a PowerColor 7850 PCS+, it was a upgrade from a graphics card (msi 6450) that already came when i bought the computer a couple weeks ago. (got it for $300, cannot beat that) Before installing the card , i used this tool called "Display Driver Uninstaller" that people recommend using before installing a new card. I installed the card and everything (drivers etc), but what i noticed is that 8.1 stutters alot more, when i am on chrome the pages lag to load, when i play games like mw2 , it has fps drops even when i lower the settings down (even if this gpu should run it in max) , i am not sure what is causing this. Temps are perfect , & it does not pass 75c on furmark but after when i am done using the benchmark , it tends to start stuttering more. What should i do ? Also , it cannot be the ram because when i had the 6450 it wouldn't do this. Specs , CPU: AMD FX-6300 Black Edition Non-Overclock 3.5 GHz GPU: PowerColor 7850 PCS+ 2GB GDDR5 (Upgrade From Msi 6450 2gb) MOBO: BIOSTAR A960D+ RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 PSU: LEPA MX-F1 N350-SB 350W (Running Dual 4 Pin Molex to 6 Pin to power Gpu) Case: Enermax Thorex

PowerColor TurboDuo R9 280 3GB ~~VS~~ XFX Black Edition Double D R9 280 3GB Which one? Hey guys, I would like to get your opinion on a comparison of these two cards. I am a first time PC builder, and I am very strongly considering these two cards to go into my build. I am really opting to get these because of the price (both ~$180 USD, both 280's). Here is the 'comparison' of the specs on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=R9%20280&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1|14-131-666^14-131-666-TS%2C14-150-705^14-150-705-TS&percm=14-131-666%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14-150-705%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24 But I am somewhat skeptical of both of these due to their reviews, or lack-there-of. The PowerColor has only 2 reviews on NewEgg, and many of the PowerColor products seem to have very few reviews which leads me to be that it is somewhat of an "off-brand" which again makes me question it's reliability. But, having that said, both reviews are 5/5, and the reviews on other products seem to be decent. On the Flip-side of this, XFX seems to be more well-known (and definitely more reviewed) than PowerColor. Again, the reviews seem relatively positive except on the 280 and 280X. Screen artifacts and tearing seem to be common in the problematic reviews and many mention that this card runs hot and (again as a new PC builder) I'm not sure how bad or how much of an issue this is. So, in short, I am most concerned about the reliability/longevity of these two cards. I really like these both due to the cheap price and 3GB VRAM. I am open to other suggestions and I am VERY grateful for any feedback. -Thanks, GH4

So I bought a PowerColor PCS+ R9 290 card off a friend and I'm really liking it so far, however, underload, those three fans make quite a lot of noise and aren't all that effective I find. I was wondering if it would be worth setting up a watercooling loop and if so, how do I find the parts I need? I can't seem to find compatible parts anywhere. I'm already watercooling my cpu using an AIO from corsair so was also wondering if the NZXT G10 would be worth considering instead of a whole custom loop

Hello, recently I've been trying to build a decent gaming PC on a budget of 1400 Singapore dollars. I intend to play heavily modded Skyrim on ultra. I've found all the parts that I need except the video card. I've narrowed down my choices to the PowerColor PCS+ R9 290 4GB and the PowerColor TurboDuo R9 290 4GB OC. I have set aside S$435 to spend on the video card. The TurboDuo version costs S$439 while the PCS version is currently on promotion and is S$459, making it S$159 cheaper than the usual price of S$618 (Do note that prices in Singapore tend to be higher than elsewhere from what I've seen). I am having trouble deciding on my own even after doing research on whether the PCS is worth going over budget or if I should go with the TurboDuo. Can I have opinions on which is worth buying? 1 Singapore dollar = 0.8 US Dollar

Hey I dont have screen caps at the moment, I will get them if required. Just thought I would get that out of the way off the bat. Well I was really excited to get my Powercolor 290x2 in the mail from Overclockers UK (its refurbished but does work properly) but I initially was plaugued with problems, ranging from no display at all to 4K video stutter on Youtube. Now this one I think will be a little more complex then the last and may not even be fixable which would be a shame. So its about crossfire actually managing to work in games at all. So I tried the Metro LL Benchmark which game me about 104 FPS average with Crossfire enabled- it did lock up the whole system after the 4th run I think maybe due to heat but the auto fan speed was working hard- Yes I understand the card is hot, loud and heavy as I feel it should have been more of a prototype than production model. i own it and I guess Im going to have to deal with it. Moving onto the next game: Bioshock Infinite Benchmark: Ran flawlesly with 152 average with crossfire enabled 3D mark I ran just before with a score of 14,115 Grid Autosport does concern me as I dont think crossfire will ever work in the game even though Ive seen from review sites that it does Battlefield 4 - Crossfire really hit ad miss- more likely a miss. I have disabled ULPS for those who will ask- I have disabled and re-enabled crossfire with various other settings Well initially it would completely lock up the system whenever I tried to launch the game, with or without crossfire enabled, I did get around to erasing the drivers with the Driver Uninstaller tool which seemed to help stability but everytime i play I always get some kind of issue- weather it be a lock on 30fps? who knows why, Crossfire working but only at 50% per GPU (this is with and without frame-pacing).The really odd thing is that both GPU's say they are running but never at 100% or they would be at near abouts 100% in the team score menu after the match. I just dont know what i can do. I am new to the whole crossfire thing and i understand its still maturing but bit shouldnt be not working at all? I can attach screen caps but I wont be able to reply until this time again tomorrow Cheers Heres my Specs sorry: CPUIntel Core i5 4670k- 4.4Ghz 1.27v MotherboardAsus B85 Pro Gamer RAM2x4GB Kingston Hyper X Beast @ 1600Mhz GPUPowerColor Devil 13 Dual Core 290X (295x2 aircooled) CaseCorsair Air 540 StorageSamsung 250GB 840 EVO + WD Black 1TB PSURaidmax 1000AE Display(s)AOC i2367f 1920x1080p CoolingArctic Freezer 13 Pro CPU Cooler KeyboardLogitech G110 MouseMadcatz R.A.T 7 Operating SystemWindows 8.1 Professional

Ever since I got my PC from Cyberpower in September of 2014, wonky gobshite has been going down; The PC would freeze up and fans would die down... I had no idea what was happening. I went into Catalyst and dropped down the CPU power by however little. It worked and there was no more problems. Still, the thing that caught my attention was the vicious frame rate drops that I'd get while playing any game. The best example is Space Engineers; I'd get 100+ frames per second for about twenty second bursts. After those twenty seconds, the frame rate would sharply drop to about ~5-10 regardless of graphics settings. It shoots back up to ~60-100 after one or so minutes of the downtime, but it lasts for only twenty seconds. There are no freezes affiliated with this, and it happens to every kind of game online and offline. Did I mention the dying down of the fans during this process? The fans also kick up when the frames return to a higher state. I've done a plethora of thing to fix this, non-monetary that is. The most interesting thing about this situation is the Graphics OverDrive statistics (Catalyst) while this frame-loss happens. The "Activity" during the downtime drops to zero, whereas it would have been at ~90-100%... My RAM is set to XMP Profile 2 or 3, which increases frames during the downtime. My GPU is the second of the rig. The first one, I though, was faulty. Adjusting fan speeds does nothing. For reference: DxDiagLePC.txt (P.S. I'm kind of new to the PC field...)

Hello everyone! I'm saving up money for an R9 270. But when I search up the 270 on newegg, there are all these manufacturers to choose from, such as MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire, etc. So here's the question: Which one do I choose? Is Asus good for cooling? Does Gigabyte make these cards perform better? Does XFX perform good, but have problems over time? Even though all these statements are not necessarily true, I would like to know which company is better or worse than the other at certain things. Thank you for taking time to view this post!
