I currently have a 1400 x 900 monitor. (900p) A membrane low profile keyboard that is actually pretty comfortable. Wireless logitech mouse that is too small with no macro buttons. No headset, but really nice speakers. I plan on buying a corsair glave or m65 pro rgb. Corsiar void pro K70 rapidfire unsure of monitor probably low response and probably 1440p.

I am looking to upgrade my mouse/mousepad, and I want to find a decent cheap gaming mouse, but everything seems to be too expensive. If anyone has any suggestions for a cheap mouse of good quality I'd love to hear it. If you know of any good mouse/mousepad combo deals those would be especially appreciated.

Hi, I need a new mouse, I bought my Razer Ouroboros in 2014 and have been using it ever since. I never had problems with it as I play cable for the better response times. I'm debating just buying another one of those or trying something else, thoughts and suggestions?

This has been happening for a month by now and some fixes work but for only a couple of hours. I'll be playing a game or just browsing the internet and my mouse will freeze without warning whenever I lift it off the desk or move is somewhat quickly (flicking in a game). However, sometimes there is no issue with the mouse and it works perfectly fine. I've tried the mouse (Roccat Kone Pure) on another computer and it doesn't freeze at all no matter how fast I move it. I'm guessing it's something to do with my computer or Windows. Any help is appreciated Thanks

My Steelseries rival 300 has recently started having the double click problem (double clicking when i click it once and sometimes stops when i hold it down). I don't really have enough money to buy a new one (and I am so attached to the steelseries rival 300 that i don't want any other mouses) so I wish to try and repair it. I will probably first try to open the switch itself and turn the contact plate to a better position. This is only a temporary solution and I want to buy new switches for it. So first of all can I see the switch type from just looking at it, and if I can't, does anyone know what switches does it use? I looked around and saw a video of someone changing the switch and he used the Omron D2FC-F-7N(10M or 20M) This will probably work on it, but I just want to know if the switches 'feel' the same as the original steelseries switches? Switch changing video. Switch repairing video. The switches on ebay.

Hello friendly forums. So, out of the blue, my keyboard stopped working. I tried different keyboards and different usb ports and nothing worked. However, mice and other usb devices work as expected. This also applies to entering bios, which i am unable to, so i figured the windows has nothing to do with it. For reference, the motherboard is an asrock 960gm . Both the keyboards i tried are default plug and play with no additional drivers required. Is this a motherboard failure? Is it a funny bios issue? And how do i get into and operate into bios if the keyboard does not work?

I am of the group that wants their basic keyboards and mice to be as inexpensive as possible, warranting me to want to make this post. This allows me to be as rough on my equipment as possible without worrying about the overall expense that I put into my purchases. I don't like to get stuff that will break easily though. My equipment needs to have a certain level of longevity. I often find myself just using the lowest model of name brand equipment or keyboards that are made to ship with prebuilt systems like Dell, HP, Lenovo etc. This time I ran into an issue where a default keyboard was running its time too fast and was not comfortable to type on at all. I almost bought a Logitech K120, but then came across the recommendation on amazon for the OfficeTec KB202 (~$10). Reviews on it were relatively promising so I went for it. This is a wired variant as I am not a fan of wireless solutions, but they do have a wireless option in the KB101 (~$14). This review may not be applicable to that model as it has a different base design. Here is what I found: Pros:- Inexpensive- Sturdy- Decent Feel- Easy Setup (plug and play/ no drivers)- Solid clicking on mouse- DPI buttonCons:- Poor non-slip pads- Awkward placement of scroll wheel (Big hands)- Backwards mapping of side thumb buttonsThe keyboard takes a short while, 30min, to break in before the keys both quite and gave a decent tactile feel. The keys are louder then a more expensive keyboard that is advertised as such, but the set is quite inexpensive and the keyboard is quieter then my previous one. The vertical "Enter" key takes some getting used to. I do enjoy it that way as the position of the |\ key is closer and easier to use for programming in my opinion. The media keys all function as expected. The "Home" key opens the default Web Browser selected in the Default apps section of Windows Settings, "E-mail" button opens the default email client, Play/ Pause/ Stop/ Previous/ Next all work to control the media playing in a media player, and the volume buttons control system volume. The only button that some may feel is missing is a button to open a Media Player. The overall construction is very light and has a significant amount of flex to it. This does not mean it is not sturdy. When checking the flex, none of the keys buckled on each other or showed signs of popping out and it did not make any creaking or cracking sounds. Again the keyboard is very light and will not stay in place without a rubber mat, new rubber pads, or (what I did) thick double sided rubber adhesive. I used some 3M tape on the bottom of the two pads and two legs. I also wore down the adhesive on the bottom of the tape a bit so that the keyboard did not fixate to the desk. I used this method because I had the tape readily available and use it for other application purposes. As for the mouse. The dpi button is nice so that the changes don't need to be made in the OS menus. The default sensitivity is rather low, so I took it up two notches. It appears to have 4 settings using the hardware dpi button. The scroll wheel feels good but is a bit high for my liking. I have used other small form mice that felt more comfortable then this one because they had a large vertical profile. I do not dislike the size of the mouse, it just makes scrolling a bit more difficult for me. The only gripe I have is the default mapping of the thumb arrows. The one pointing away from you is used as the back key while the one towards is used as the forward. I have since remapped it using a key mapper so that I had the standard use that I am used to. Over all I do feel this is going to last me a significant amount of time. THE BEST CHEAP LAVALIER MICROPHONE Purple Panda's - "Lavalier Lapel Microphone Kit" BUY IT NOW Australia - EbayAU United States/Canada - AmazonUS BEFORE WE BEGIN So as of writing this, I HAVE NOT received my "Purple Panda" kit, just keep that in mind that this post is to make people aware of its existence (looking at you LTT audio engineers/announcers). MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES My experience with microphones and audio in general I feel is good enough to be here writing this post. I have worked on several projects and YouTube videos behind the microphone where I was required to provide my own gear and software. Many of these projects were focused on the post-production of the audio A.K.A voice effects to have the effects work at such a high quality I require a good microphone setup (links to my test tracks and gear will be below). I also have film audio experience thanks to my time In college studying film. After that my experience with audio revolves around instrument recording and some light podcasting. MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS So this segment is usually written after I have "reviewed" the product but since international postage has failed to deliver it on time I will be going off others reviews (links below in "sources" section). After watching several videos and talking to my friends with this mic setup I decided to buy one for myself. While watching these reviews I noticed that there was, in fact, a light layer of hiss in the audio. This at first felt annoying as it would show up whenever the speaker would stop to breathe. These thoughts quickly dried up as the hiss can easily be removed later or it can even be left in with the addition of some background music (most videos have it). The overall quality I initially thought to be flatter than I would have liked but you quickly forget the difference between the Purple Panda and a shotgun mic like the RODE Videomic Pro, and that being said the quality from the Purple Panda is better in conditions like outdoors or when the speaker is far away from the camera. In terms of mobility, I saw a lot of reviewers using their phones as an external recorder to keep the camera audio but the 5ft cable in the mic itself should be more than enough for anyone using this for vlogs and if you need more room to move Purple Panda has you covered with the included 10ft extension cable. It also comes with a TRRS > TRS adapter, Deadcat windshield, Go Pro Hero 4 mic adapter, 10ft extension cable, steel alligator clip and a nifty Purple Panda carrying case. FINAL THOUGHTS Look I don't expect you to trust my judgment as I have yet to receive my Purple Panda kit but from what I have seen on reviews and heard from friends this truly is the best cheap lavalier mic. I did intend to do this post after I received my Purple Panda Kit, but with a few days delay and with stock quickly selling out (at least in Australia) I thought I would let people know. I will be making a final review so don't think this is over just yet. Hello all! I'm looking for a wireless gaming mouse for my mid-range gaming laptop. I need it to be wireless as I can't afford any desk space to be taken up by a cord (desks at schools are waaay too small :/) I'm specifically looking for low latency, a price of $25 or less, largish size, and good ergonomics. I was originally going for the EagleTec MG001 that Linus recommended in his cheap gaming mice video, but that's no longer available on Amazon and I'm finding resellers selling it at ridiculous prices. Thank you all in advance

so this mouse: http://www.x7.cn/en/product.asp?id=45 is around $8. Any good for the price?

Before I sold my macbook pro 2010, when charging with a UK power block it gave me a a tingle sort of buzzing feeling when running my fingers across the aluminium chassis. This did not happen whilst running off the battery alone. My partner could feel it if he ran his arm across my skin. Despite the power being earthed in plug it still done so. I used several USB and my graphics tablet plugged into it. I would like to know if that sort of electrocution feeling could damage my peripherals, and when I had not used them for 2 weeks as I waited for my new tower-could plugging the things I had used in the macbook damage my new Pc. They work fine in spare laptop, just worried about our new high end one. Also say once I plugged peripherals from macbook into new Pc, then brought a new USB or plugged partners capture card in. Would that get damaged. Regards Alexis

Hi there! A bit silly question but is it possible for peripheral device to damage the PC? I'm not talking about software-like damage (when USB-size mini PC erases your data), I'm talking about if there is something wrong with a USB drive or keyboard - can it possibly damage the PC? Thank you!

I tried to plug my cell phone charger into the USB ports, and they started charging my phone so there it power going to them. I tried to take out the battery and wait for about 10 minutes and it didn't solve the problem. I've taken out the ram and gpu and turned the computer on with one of each plugged it and that didn't solve it. What is the problem because I have no idea at this point? Are my parts even compatible?

I just finished putting my pc together and went I turned it on, none of the peripherals would work. My mouse, keyboard, and monitor won't work. Mouse and keyboard will not light up and the monitor stays in power saving mode. I tried plugging in my charger to my phone and it charger it so there is power going to it. I checked my CPU it see I found it was oriented correctly and it was. I took out the ram to see if one of them were bad, I tested them individually and turned the pc on with the smame result; peripheral said don't work. What else can I do to fix this? Or it there a step that I'm forgetting? My build is : Video card: MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB CrossFire VR Ready FinFET DirectX 12 Graphics Card (RX 480 GAMING X 4G) CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-8GVRB Motherboard: ASUS LGA1151 DDR4 DisplayPort HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 H170 ATX Motherboards H170 PRO GAMING Power supply: evga 500b samsung ssd 250 gb

Hey, hoping that someone on this site has the knowledge to help me with this. So, i have had this K70 keyboard almost a year now, but just recently it started to do a strange thing. Every once in a while my keystrokes wont register, mostly happens when i press multiple buttons at once (for instance, strafe jumping in CS:GO) Whenever i do this it'll do one of two things, either not registrer any at all, or just one of the keystrokes. Does anyone by chance know what may be causing this? Thanks!

Help me find a Wireless Ergonomic Back lit keyboard for my boss
JayTay posted a topic in Peripherals
Ok so I work at a software company and my boss asked me to find him a keyboard that is ergonomic since he codes 8 hours a day, Backlit because he does not like to turn on lights, and he would like it to be wireless so he can move it around as he likes. He currently has a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate and loves it but he says that it is starting to stress his hands and he is having to cut down the time the codes because of the lack of ergonomic curve. I looked for this mythical unicorn before Christmas and I had to report to him that it does not exist. He approached me last week and again I had nothing to show him. So if anyone knows of a keyboard like this please help me. Help me find this unicorn!!!- 6 replies

So after building my secondary PC and installing my keyboard, I have noticed that when using the keyboard, it will disconnect briefly then reconnect, usually dragging keys on during the disconnect (such as in game, WASDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD). I have legacy USB devices enabled in the bios, and this is not happening to any other peripherals or USB devices. I have also tried different USB ports, but no luck. Please help. It is very annoying in games. PCPP Link

Hello I am going to upgrade my peripherals soon and I was hoping to get some suggestions or comments on some of my choices. I already have chosen headphones with the help of @Kloaked but I still cant decide on a few other things. First is monitor, I was thinking of upgrading to a 24 inch Dell Ultrasharp U2415. It has an IPS display with great color accuracy and I have a great amount of trust in Dell. My 15 year old Dell monitor is only now starting to break, and I was thinking of upgrading more because its out-dated. I already have a nice mech keyboard with MX Blues so no upgrade is needed there #MXBlueMasterRace and for the mouse upgrade I was thinking of going for a Logitech G403 Prodigy wired. I have heard great things about it and the sensor it has is really good, 3366 I believe which is among the best. The mouse pad isn't that big of a deal but I was thinking of getting a Corsair MM300 extended mat. Any comments or suggestions about this pick of peripherals? Any suggestions for different products? Also, does anyone own any of these things and if you do, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance.

I want a wireless mouse with at least 2 shoulder buttons and decent size (I have big hands) that can be wireless but don't want to worry about charging AA batteries, at least not separately, is there any mouse like that? I've seen some Logitech ones that can charge through a microusb cable but can seem to find any other, not even the Logitech ones seem to mention that feature in the Amazon page, just in the official website, are there any other brands for that? I would like to spend around 30 USD.
