Hey, got one kinda question: Can I build a decent gaming rig for 300 euro? Could someone make me a list o' parts?

Below is a screenshot of a compatibility note that PCPartPicker gave me after combining the MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case. Here is the screenshot ---> Screenshot of compatibility note If you can't click that link, this is what the compatibility note states - MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports. - The Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 390mm long, but video cards over 270mm may block drive bays. Since the Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card is 280mm long, some drive bays may not be usable. So if you may, please explain what it means and what I should be worried about with these parts together. Thanks!

Whenever I try to do it it says there isn't enough room but it's empty. I am well under the data capacity. I can't even partition 1 gb in a 240 GB drive. It's an OCZ Arc 100.

So im going to build my first computer ever. Will these parts go together? https://gyazo.com/340f89a13051fd136d16ea4fd8316881

Hi everyone My friend is wanting to get into PC gaming and asked me to give him a list of parts to build with. He mostly plays fps games and Warthunder/World of Tanks and he has a budget of around $1500 NZD. (I'm ordering all components from mightyape.co.nz to keep shipping simple) I've made up this list and was looking for any constructive feedback or recommendations SYSTEM: AMD FX 6300 8GB G.SKILL RipjawsX 1600MHz DDR3 Asus STRIX GTX 960 2GB Asus M5A97 R2.0 1TB WD Caviar Blue Corsair CS550M SilverStone PS09 Windows 10 64bit Home Acer K222HQL PERIPHERALS: I'm also looking for help on peripherals. He has a budget of about $500 NZD, he is looking at: Logitech G502 Logitech G310 Logitech G430 7.1 He doesn't really care what brand his peripherals are as long as they match. Any other recommendations? Thanks

Alright, so recently I've been looking at all the advantages of PC gaming and I've decided to make one. This will be my first build ever, and essentially this build is aiming for something that's not super pricey but can still play games at 1080p with High/Ultra settings with good Frame rates. (I classify 40+ good, not too picky. I don't need 120 or anything!) I've been watching plenty of videos and reading up reviews and info, and I've put together my plan. Here it is: CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H (LGA 1150) RAM: A-Data XPG V1 2x4GB 1600MHz Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM (I'm also considering taking out an old HDD then buying an SSD instead of a new HDD) GPU: Sapphire R9 280X Toxic OC edition PSU: This is still undecided, I'll take any good grade 750W. Right now I'm looking at the EVGA Semi Modular 80+ Bronze. Case: DIYPC Mirage D1-Y Mid ATX Tower So there you have it! That's the part list I've put together. Let me know what you think about my part picking skills. More into specifics here, there is one thing I've been worrying about. It has to do with the GPU fitting properly in the case and on the motherboard. I'm pretty sure there is enough room but I don't want to be putting it together and realize that it doesn't fit. Also, would a second Toxic R9 280X fit in there Alright? I'm considering adding in a second one for crossfire later on, but I'm not sure with how thick the cards are if there would be enough space underneath for another in a proper PCI slot. Thanks for any feedback, and make sure to notify me of any other problems you see!

After much fuss, I finally got my 128GB SSD Cloned to my 500GB one, when booting into Windows, 346.52 GB is unallocated. I thought "Okay no problem" and jumped into disk part, but when trying to use "extend partition" the the unallocated part, it will not let me do it. Can anyone help? Yes I know "clean install" but I do not want to do a clean install. No. Nope. I've never had this kind of trouble and i've cloned alot.. meh

Hello, This is my first post on here. My friend had bought the motherboard I was thinking about before I was ready... but oh well. the link to the PC part picker build is here. and just in case I put it in words down here. CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($59.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING ATX AM3+ Motherboard (ALREADY OWNED) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($59.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($77.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ Newegg) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Dual FTW ACX Video Card Case: Corsair SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower Case ($55.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($23.99 @ NCIX US) My actual worry was that the site says some 970 motherboards may need a bios update. I don't know how to do that, or if I even need to. Please help!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section I thought I could only post in Troubleshooting If I had an issue. As the title says its my first time building a PC and I have low budget ($600-700 Australian Dollars). I'm thinking of using the "just game" build from the holidays buyers guide from last year november. I was wondering if anyone could suggest parts (remember I'm australian so i need correct power supply etc.). Thanks. Note: I will also need to buy a copy of windows 8 so consider that when listing parts.

So I have built a new computer. The hardware are these: MSI X99S SLI PLUS 8GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Corsair RM850 Intel Core i7-5820K 2TB Seagate Desktop SSHD CoolerMaster V8 GTS CPU Fan TP-Link TL-WDN4800 WiFi Card Graphics Card: NVidia GT610 or NVidia 9600GT Yes, I know, my graphics cards are trash, I only use them for a short period though until I save for the GTX970 and more ram. I in the beginning used the GT610 and then I changed it as I though it maybe had a problem but changing to 9600GT doesn't help. I have Windows 10 Technical Preview installed and every time that I use the computer for installation of drivers, going to the Internet and more stuff that aren't at all too powerful, the PC suddenly or gets stuck and then restarts or restarts immediately in the middle of use. I have also made an X pattern with the thermal paste that I think was maybe a little too much, although the temperatures never pass 40 Degrees Celcius, it's mostly around the 30's and 20's. I don't know what to do and what could be the problem or hardware doing it.. Any help ?

Is time to me to upgrade! on a budget, ok I'm going to keep this a short as possible. Ok my needs I'm attemptin to be a graphic designer and a memebr of adobe creative cloud so I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects quite heavily so a lot of cores would be nice, but I will like to enjoy some gaming too (WarThunder, Arma III, H1Z1 ect..,). Budget: $600 NOTE: I can't take advantage of rebates (I'm outside of the US) Things I have: Periferals (Mouse & Keyboard) Monitor PC Case (Standard ATX Mortheboard Size) A Graphics Card (EVGA GT 740 FTW) I know is not the best but is what I got. EVGA 430W 80Plus Power Supply Things I need: Motherboard CPU 8GB Memory RAM (can be more as long as it is within the budget) Hard Drive (SSD+HDD combo or Hibird would be nice) Note: The FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition is what I have in mind for the CPU but I want to see what you guys think. Sorry for the bad English

Okay i know this may start an argument but its a single civilized question! i have one question! Okay so with the multiple part episodes why cant you release them a day after one another? Because surely if you enjoy you will watch the next one and so on and not have to wait a week! so i personally cant see what your gaining by uploading them a week after first release! I don't agree with it therefor i don't watch any videos that start with 1,1a,1b,1c,2... you get the idea. because whats the point? whats worse is when they are 12 minutes long!!!! just so i state this. i totally agree with Linus with the multi part videos because of money and all i have no problem with that its the waiting a week! What are your opinions with this? also @LinusTech and @Slick what are you reasons behind a week before a new video! This is not ment to cause debate i would like an answer, im not a troll im not trying to annoy anyone, i would just like an answer. ~~James

My new build is here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CgQhYJ But at the top it says that there is an incompatibility where the AMD Athlon X4 860K isn't compatible with my motherboard. The motherboard is an FM2/FM2+ Motherboard, and I KNOW the 860k is FM2+. So this is an error, right?

Hi guys, I have just configured a build and before I start I just want some opinions on how well the parts will work together and if I chose the right part for the price range. Hi guys, and another, surprise surprise watercooling checklist Parts: RAD: Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm - White Special Edition60mil Fittings: Monsoon 13/10mm (ID 3/8" OD 1/2") Six Pack - White GPU: Palit 780 with EKWB (cause it's a great deal, 440€) CPU: XSPC RayStorm - White Edition Hose: Masterkleer PVC 13/10mm (3/8"ID) UV-active White Res/Pump: I'm totally confused with the res/pump combo. I need a tube res, cause I don't have any 5,25" bays left. How do I find out if it fits in the case, and what size of reservoir I need (NZXT H440/ If I need to Corsair 750D/Switch 810) I did some research, and I found them to be pretty good: Aquacomputer aqualis DDC 150 ml with Nanocoating, G1/4 + Alphacool VPP655 (Pretty much like all of the 655 variants) Coolant: Destilled water/Phobya ZuperZero Clear 1000ml I looked everything up on aquatuning.at, so you should find these parts fairly easy.
