Hi guys! So, now that there's been some time after the launch of the 6 and the 6T as well as the S9 and S9+, I'm wondering what those of you who have bought the S9 or the OnePlus 6 have to say about them? I myself am struggling to choose between the OnePlus 6 and the Galaxy S9. Here's what matters to me: 1. Performance (I want it to be snappy and stay snappy after a year or two) 2. Software Suppport (I expect to get frequent android updates, at least for 1 - 1.5 years) 3. Camera (I take photos more for the functionality than for artistic purposes. I need them to be sharp and accurately colored, but I don't care for bokeh and fancypants background blurring) So what are your opinions? What would you go for? And if you already have one of them, what are your loves and your hates about it? Thanks a bunch in advance! - Vlad

Hi I want to ask you if you can help me decide what's better for money the OP 6T with OP WL headphones in the pack for 700 USD or S9+ 64G version for 700 too, both are brand new. Thx for your help

Idk if this is interesting but some guy basically got scammed out of a 7t pro from the official OnePlus website, it's explained here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/h7h76w/oneplus_has_essentially_scammed_me_of_inr_40000/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share This pains me to post because this is the phone I'm using rn lol

Hey, I need your help. Do you think the Motherboard or Display is broken? Somehow my Screen broke. (see the pictures) As you can see on the top left corner there is a black mark on the AMOLED. I don't know how this has happend. The Glas is not broken. On the startup my screen is completely green and flickers a little bit. When I get to the Homescreen the Display turns black. When I want to turn it on it's just flashing for a millisek and turns it off again. Everything in the Background is still working, even the vibrations and the touch. When I want to turn the display on it makes the "Screen-On"-Sound, flashes green and turns it off. When I want to turn it on again, it makes the "Screen-Off"-Sound. When I take a Screenshot I even see for the time of the Preview the Screen. Now is my question. Is just my Screen broken or my Motherboard (some Chip or connector), what would you say? Thanks -Vinc

I recently got my oneplus 8. I turned on dark mode in the setup process. So then after a few days I changed my theme from Nuanced dark>illuminating light and the 90hz I was looking for was much more apparent. Anyone know why?

I just bought a oneplus 7 and I wanted to install the oneplus music app again. But the app was discontinued in Android 7. Can I sideload the app into android 10? I found the apk.

I can still return it. But looking at other sellers here, they either specify the phone (oneplus 7t 256gb blue) come with an adaptor for europe charge port, either not specify it at all. Looking online, the only difference are supported bands. I found this site on google https://www.frequencycheck.com/carriers/digi-mobil-romania and it seems the HD1900 (my model?) is all good. Also found a guy on yt teaching how to transfer from hydrogen os to oxygen os. I got no ideea what this means. Heres the vid anyway: So, anything i should be worried about? Should i just return the phone?

I broke the screen and display of my actual phone (huawei p9 lite), it was the time to upgrade anyway. So I need some advices / recommandations on what phone to get. I know OP has fast fingerprint reader and good OS, thats why I'm leaning towards it. I can wait for the Nord, just dont know if its gonna be worth. I could also accept some other recommandations if you guys have any, just dont suggest iphones, I need some good batery life. Also I dont really have a budget, just wanna get a nice value for my money. I only browse reddit/ watch yt and use chrome, no gaming and such, altought I do wanna play some TFT mobile from time to time (its not a hard game anyway). Need good-ish screen for browsing and obviously a good batery life. I rarely take pictures, but a good camera is a nice bonus. At least 128gb and whatever amount of ram you think i need. Thanks in advance!

I am currently using a OnePlus 6T. Would the OnePlus Nord be a substantial enough upgrade to be worth it or should I wait for another phone?

I recently decided to ditch the vastly inferior biometrics of S20 for a OP8 Pro - a world of difference when it comes to trying to get into the phone! Having ruled out any issues regarding the screen, I noticed the autofocus motor is extremely loud. The autofocus on the S20 is barely noticeable even when held right next to my ear, whereas the same on the OP8 Pro can be heard clearly when held a foot away. Of course, this isn't an issue when taking pictures, but it leaks into the videos. Has anyone else encountered this issue, on the OP8 Pro or any other phone. The support at OnePlus says this is normal with larger cameras, even after I supplied a video where the noise can be heard. There is a thread about this in the OP forum: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/noise-issue-when-focusing-with-camera.1218640/ Thankful for any input

Hello guys how is everything going ? hope well? My doubt is that, atm i need to change my mobile phone, basically i have 2 options Mi Note 10 and the OnePlus Nord, about the prices where i live i can buy it for the same price so that's not the main point of it. I do love the Mi Note 10 because the battery and cam, but i don't know if it's the best option. Best regards

Hypothetically speaking, what stops me from connecting my VPN to somewhere in the EU and ordering a OnePlus Nord? Let's say I have a friend living there who receive the phone and he can send it off to me. This website https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/CA/oneplus-z seems to indicate that the Nord should receive at least decent coverage. (400 euros works out to ~625CAD, and there's a lot of phone for $625) Questions: Would the phone work, what features might not (ie would I be stuck with the European version of the play store)? Could I get a sim card for it? Would the shipping/duties process get a lot more complicated if I didn't have a friend that lived there? Is this particularly ill advised for any other reason? Is there a similarly priced/specked phone available in Canada that I am missing (done some research and I don't think so)?

Why in the world is there so much hype behind wireless charging? To me, it is the first thing I'd want out of any phone that's coming out these days. As far as I can tell, it is considerably slower than wired charging in most iterations, and it is MORE restricted in usability while charging the phone, because it must be ON the charging pad or whatever, whereas you can still use your phone during wired charging for most purposes, wave it around, take a call, blah blah - I don't see that happening with a wireless charger. I've also heard that wireless charging can heat a phone up and damage the insides in the long term. And to top all that off - it makes a phone VASTLY more expensive than one that just charges from a freaking wire. I see absolutely no upside to a wireless charger whatsoever, and when I see reviewers like MKBHD complaining about the lack of wireless charging on the new OnePlus Nord, I wonder why that would be a priority in an inexpensive phone. That's absolutely unnecessary on a budget phone (and I strongly stand by my belief that it's useless on ANY phone, regardless of price). If you're gonna tell me it's annoying plugging your phone in or some crap like that, I'm just gonna scoff and keep silent and silently weep that I don't have to face such first world problems. So tell me, aside from the "wow that's so cool" factor - why wireless? I really want to know (full disclosure - I've never used wireless charging in any form)

So I'm getting a OnePlus 6 and thought it would be a wasted opportunity not to help someone out and give them points, while collecting 20€ myself for some accessories. So, if you've bought the device and if you're interested, please reply. (points can be spent on accessories, swag, or even a brand new device) I know there are random people spamming their referral links everywhere, but I want to help out someone who's genuine . Thanks!

Hi everyone, I can't dedice, what to choose: OnePlus 6 8GB/128GB or iPhone 7 Plus (32GB). I will have a Macbook Pro in about two months. So choosing an iPhone would have the whole ecosystem. What would you choose? The phone will be used for: - Browsing the internet - Spotify - Photos on Instagram - Sometime games

Hey All Recently Chrome has begun crashing/closing and reopening again when running in the background while playing youtube in desktop mode. It works for about 7-8 minuts and then crashes/closes when I then open my phone it reopens Chrome as if i came from my startscreen and pressed on the app and the youtube video get reloaded and starts playing from the start of the video. I have tried clearing the cache and data separately and both at the same time and then testing again and the same problem comes back. also tried reinstalling Chrome and tried both dev chromes and it still does it also tried restarting my phone. even tried clearing my phones cache from rootmenu. Firefox still works however it uses more power and slows down the more i use it therefore I would really hope someone in here has a solution to making Chrome work again. I have an OnePlus 5t running Android 8.1, OxygenOS version 5.1.3 and Chrome version 67.0.3396.87

Hi guys, i need your help but not before a short and sad story: Bought Anker Soundbud slim for my oneplus 6, they are bad.. Or at least i don't like them. I tried a lot of bluetooth earbuds but i can't be satisfied. Major thing that i don't like and i think it's important in 2018, it's the fact that a lot of cheaper earbuds doesen't support the Qualcomm Aptx HD audio of the One Plus 6, so i was searching something that can be supported with under 100 dollars. With few search i found the Bullets Wireless, but they aren't avaible now (i can wait, no problem about that) and in the mean time i'm searching if there is something good like that or even better for under 100 dollars that support Qualcomm Aptx HD audio. Thanks for the help, without your help i will mad maybe..

I have been searching the internet for days on a clear cut method to reset, unlock and root my fully stock OP3T. I am finally sick of being rootless and I have no clue where to start. The last time I rooted a phone was -years- ago, A Samsung Galaxy S5. I have no clue where to start but have a Windows PC (I can whip up a Linux Mint VM or use a Live USB Linux Distro if that's better) , my USB-C cable and my phone, running stock and still fine. I know full well I will be losing all data on it, and have already backed up everything to my OTG Flash drive. I am, however, a layman and need things in simple terms, I am having a lot of trouble following the stuff I've found so far on XDA Forums & on YouTube. Please & Thank you. ~Divide

Alright so, I dropped my OnePlus 5 flat down on the tarmac, screen first. Neither screen or panel survived. Same day, I took it to a repair shop, got the screen replaced with original spare part. Ever since, the Bluetooth performance has been next to non existent. Phone needs to be right next to the connected device to insure stutter free playback, at approx 15cm distance, it flat out looses connection. Also noticed GPS stopped working. Took it back to the shop, technician claimed he could find nothing wrong, stating the the fall must have nudged a small chip, disconnecting it from the circuit. Further stating he'd seen it before. I challenged his opinion, stating it would be physically impossible to judge a small chip due to its mass, or lack off, stating that the force required would have totaled the entire circuit board. Also informed him that both Bluetooth and GPS module is part of the SoC, so if that was the case, it wouldn't even be able to boot. Question 1; Anyone who knows if there's actually any truth to the technicians claims? Question 2; I'm guessing the connection to what ever antenna Bluetooth uses got nicked by the technician. But if thats the case, I'd likely be a shared antenna that GPS uses aswell, but not shared with wlan or cellular as these are unaffected. Anyone with some technical know-how that can confirm or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

For the past few years I've been using the Oneplus X. Gets medium usage every day, including Youtube and web browsing. It was a great phone to begin with and probably couldn't beat it for the price. However since then it has been getting very slow, apps are crashing all the time and the battery life has become rubbish. I've began to miss the stability of Apple's IOS and will be getting a mac for uni so i was thinking about swapping to iPhone again. Can anyone recommend what iPhone to get in 2018? Unlocked is a must and i don't mind buying second hand. Under 400euros would be great too. Cheers,

I am looking to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S5 as it is now showing its age. I don't use my phone mostly for business usage so a lot of emails & taking photos (zero gaming as use a PC for that). No set budget but I would rather spend less than pay more for diminishing returns, I want a phone which should last me for the next 3-4 years again. Is the S9 worth the 32% uplift over the S8? Are any of the others? I don't want to just go with the same company out of habit though so have looked around at the other brands and the phones that I have come across seem to be as per below. Ranked them in order of price (most expensive to least). If you were in my place, what would you go for? Google Pixel 2 (£699) Samsung Galaxy S9 International Version (£554.50) Huawei P20 (£535) Sony Xperia XZ2 (£522) OnePlus 6 (£498) LG V30 (£490) Huawei Mate 10 Pro (£470) Samsung Galaxy S8 (£419) Personally I am leaning towards the S8 due to it being the cheapest, if there is something which is almost the same but less expensive I am open to it. Let me know your thoughts as I am far from knowledgeable on mobile phones! P.S. I haven't forgotten about the iPhone, I am just not a fan of them personally so rather stick with an Android device.

Title really says it all. I could really need a new phone now. Should I buy the 6 or wait for the 6T?

When i came out of work my 1+1 was completely dead. (won't turn on or charge, no LEDs or vibrations reacting to anything) There also was this new dent. (see picture) On the one hand i fear that i broke some internals while in my pocket, on the other hand the issue might also be the battery, since it has been running low extremely quick the past days. Replacing the battery seems easy enough, but i don't want to buy a battery if the phone is broken anyway. Is there any way to find out what's wrong, or do I just have to try a new battery and hope for the best?

Hello! I have been trouble deciding between the LG g7 and oneplus 6 and it would be great to get your inputs. Please let me know which one you think is superior and if any of you have had one of these phones please tell me your experiences. Also looking at Asus rog strix phone but that will probably cost 900. Any input is appreciated.
