Hello all this is my first post. I have a very strange and specific issue that I have tried to resolve. I have an asus b550f non wifi mother board a Ryzen 5800x and an rtx 3080 fe. All water cooled and whatnot. I recently purchased an lg c1 tv and decided to connect to my pc for games with hdmi 2.1 as the 3080 supports this. I also have a Samsung odyssey g7 32” 240hz for gaming that is connected with DisplayPort . I leave my pc on as I have some background services running that I need for work and such. After powering off my displays when I go to turn either of them back on they will just stay on a black screen indefinitely. Windows ctrl shift b to reset graphics drivers does nothing. Unplugging and plugging the monitor or tv power or display cables does nothing. My sleep settings are all disabled. I have also disabled hibernate in the command prompt. My bios does not have a primary display adapter setting which I’ve heard may help. Do you guys have any idea how I can turn my displays back on and have input after powering them off? Thanks in advance

I have a 1080p 240Hz monitor for my PC. I am thinking about buying a 4K HDR monitor for media consumption and playing non-competitive games, but I want to keep playing games like CSGO on the old monitor. Is it possible to configure different games on different monitors? Also, how does HDR work if only one monitor supports it? Can I keep one monitor in HDR mode and other in SDR?

Recently I found out that consumer nvidia cards are limited to 4 outputs for some reason. Some models of 3080s have 5 video outputs, and like 2 gigabyte models have 6. What happens if oyu populate all of these? Will a monitor just not work? Will it be split somehow? Why are there cards even made like this if they can't even use all outputs, and why is there a restriction at all?

i am working on creating a xbox-like experience on pc for my projector. i want to have 2 vm's on a single monitor. i know there are programs that can do the same for games in windows but i also want to be able to use different programs/games at the same time. the rest i will be able to figure out myself. it is possible to use a rdp and a rbp for display out but i think it will create a lot of latency. i prefferably want to use proxmox but unraid/vmware/xenserver is also fine.

Hi I currently have a multi-monitor set up and was wondering what graphics card I will need in my next build so I can game on all 3 screens. Link to monitors - PQ27 Pro. Its a 27" 1440p 165Hz capable screen. Aiming to play between 60 - 120 fps depending on the game. I was told by local custom PC builders that I would need a 3080 in order to push the number of pixels. Not sure if they were trying to up-sell me on the product or if its really necessary. Would appreciate some advice. Rest of the build spec in my previous post. Edit: Games - Satisfactory, Minecraft (want to try with ray tracing), Cyberpunk, Assassins Creed Workload - CAD modelling (Fusion 360)

So I have one 4K monitor, and one 1080p monitor. I want to stretch a wallpaper across them but can't because they are different resolutions, so Windows thinks that the lower resolution one is way smaller, so it doesn't stretch correctly. I have tried Display Fusion but it does the same thing. Also, because Windows thinks they are different resolutions, when I drag windows from one monitor to the other they are the wrong size, I sort of fixed this with LittleBigMouse but I can't have a window half on one monitor and half on the other or it will be the wrong size. I have tried super sampling my 1080p monitor but then it looks fuzzy.

Hello Guys, the problem and the given situation are a bit complex so i try my best to explain everything so maybe someone can help me. If anything is unclear or not understandable (grammar, wording, etc.) please ask. English is not my native language. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @4.2 GHz 1st GPU: Zotac GTX 1080 ti AMP! Edition 2nd GPU: Zotac GT 710 Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Max Memory: 2 x 8GB Patriot Viper DDR4 3600 MHz CL16 Software / Driver: Windows 10 2004 up to date (28th of June 2020) Nvidia 451.48 Game ready driver Monitors: 1. Acer XF270HU 2560x1440 144Hz 27" Freesync --> connected to GTX 1080 Ti 2. Dell 1908FP 1280x1024 75Hz 19" --> connected to GT 710 3, Dell 1907FP 1280x1024 75Hz 19" --> connected to GT 710 4. Dell U2212HM 1920x1080 60Hz 22" --> connected to GTX 1080 Ti 5. HP ZR24w 1920x1200 60Hz 24" --> connected to GT 710 The Issue: No matter what program i try to run on the monitors that are connected to the second gpu will stutter. If i try to playback a video (Plex, Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, local, etc.) it will be played back with a very low and unstable framerate (looks like 5-20 fps with freezes every other second) If i try to browse the web with no matter what browser (tested Brave, Chrome, Firefox, Edge) the websites will lag aswell so i would say it's not an issue that's depending on video playback. As far as my understanding goes the program is rendered on the systems most powerful gpu (which should be the 1080 Ti in my case... sorry for the pun) so i don't see why the programs are having bad performance. The same programs run without any issue on the two monitors that are connected to the 1080 Ti so it's not really an rendering issue either i would say. Things i tried: Uninstalling Nvidia Drivers with DDU, installing drivers again --> no effect Switched Driver-Mode from "Game-Ready" to "Studio" within GF Experience--> no effect Tried out the Developer drivers (before they went public for everyone (speaking of Nvidia 451.22) --> no effect Updated from Windows 10 1909 to Windows 10 2004. --> no effect Switching up monitor connections between the two GPUs (plugging the DVI Cable out of the GT 710 and into the GTX 1080 Ti and the issue was gone) Checking my temps --> Max 80C° on the 1080 Ti, 65C° on the 710. Enabling planned GPU Acceleration (the original reason why i updated that early to Windows 10 2004) I tried playing around with the Settings in Windows where you can choose which GPU is used to run programs, it always and only shows the GTX 1080 Ti as an option. My Goal: I just want to use the GT 710 as an adapter to be able to use more monitors. All the rendering / heavy part should be done by the GTX 1080 Ti. I just want to get rid of the lags, the stuttering and the freezes. I hope that someone maybe is able to help me or has similar experiences with that issue. Thanks

Hi LTT forum! OS:Win10 CPU:4930k (stock) RAM:16GB (dual channel unfortunately) Mobo:Asus P9X79 Pro GPU: Asus Strix 1080 ti (stock) SSD: 1TB Kingston PSU: 850W BeQuiet Monitor 1: Benq Zowie XL250-B Monitor 2,3: Benq Zowie XL2430 All but monitors, SSD, GPU are almost 7 years old. Monitor 1 is hooked up with Display Port and runs 240hz fine. Monitor 2 is also using DisplayPost and runs its 144hz fine. Monitor 3 is only using an old HDMI cable atm so is limited to 60hz which for now works. My issue is when even playing World of Warcraft Classic my main monitor will go blank for 3-4 seconds. This is easily repeatable using Furmark. "Preset:1080" and will cause multiple black screens for the same 3-4 seconds. I just ran the test. Fan speed 34%. First Black Screen 1/4 the way through at 62 degrees C. Temp levelled out at 65. 5 total black screen occurrences. Since having this issue I've had one occasion where all the fans not spinning on the GPU. The card still ran but I noticed instability and I quickly adjusted the fan curve in MSI Afterburner. I imagine this is the most likely cause of my issue. But its interesting this happened after the initial symptoms. When unplugging one of the monitors to only use 2 monitors, there is no blank screen when running Furmark. When I test again with my other DVI-D 1440p monitor it still goes blank at 3 monitors. What I've tried so far: Different configuration of monitors. Setting other monitors as Primary Monitor in Nvidia Control Panel Lowering the Refresh Rates of all monitors Unplugging all unnecessary internal drives and external connections Updating drivers with a clean update via Geforce Experience custom install option I reinstalled Windows a few weeks ago due to this issue and that didn't fix it I originally upgraded my monitors because I was having the same issue with the same 240hz main monitor, a 60hz 1400p DVI-D second and a Display Port to DVI-D 1080p TV. Hoping that the conversion cable from DP to DVI was causing it or something. The only constant is the PC and the 240hz monitor. I understand the Furmark is putting stress on the GPU but playing WOW Classic on the (Classic) old school graphics settings still triggers the Blank Screen in busy environments. I've searched on and off for months and I don't have any new ideas. I did buy the GPU used but it was from a friend of a friend who didnt OC it and I've not done much OCing nor has it been OCed for long. My PSU has had a rough life. Once or twice I've had instability and the fan wasnt spinning (it has no fanless mode) and poking the fan with a pencil sent the fan to spin at max for a few minutes as it cooled down. But removing all nonessential drives and devices I thought could help reduce PSU load. Thanks in advance

So here's the situation Now aparently I cannot change what GPU renders Wall-Paper Engine can only run on the GPU that "renders" the desktop (https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/1653297026036887970/) But I want to run it on my IGPU so would it be possible to run these monitors off my IGPU and than use my primary GPU to run my games. I have enabled some Igpu setting in bios so i don't know entirely what thats about 1. monitor plugged into my GPU with DVI (native 1080p) 1. TV plugged into GPU using hdmi (native 1080p) 1. monitor plugged into my mobo running on my CPU's IGPU with a vga to hdmi adapter (720p running at 1080p) I have an 8700K with an asus z370-a which has the same ports im currently using (I would use an hdmi to DP connector for the tv which i already have)

If so, is it gonna bring down the gaming performance?

Hi all - First time post & first time PC build. I have been a MacBook user in my personal life for 8 years, and use a PC for development at work. I am building a PC as my existing MacBook cannot support 4 screens, and its performance for machine learning is lackluster relative to what I am looking for. PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor ($432.41 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard ($189.99 @ Best Buy) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($164.99 @ Best Buy) Storage: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($149.97 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card ($818.00 @ Amazon) Case: Cooler Master MasterCase H500M ATX Mid Tower Case ($239.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($155.98 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit ($139.99 @ Other World Computing) External Storage: Seagate Expansion 8 TB External Hard Drive ($131.99 @ Adorama) Total: $2423.31 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-05-01 01:14 EDT-0400 1. Budget & location $2600 United States. 2. Aim. I have two requirements: A. PC should be able to support 4 monitors for day trading. B. PC should support Machine learning workload. 3. Monitors. I do have the 4 27-inch monitors, and they have HDMI & DVI ports. ASUS VE278 with 1920×1080 resolution. I would like a recommendation for a 4-arm stand if someone has one. 4. Peripherals: I plan on using 64 bit Windows 10 Pro. Is there any other recommended software to buy on a new PC (e.g. for virus protection?) Already have mouse & keyboard. The biggest cost choices came down to CPU, GPU, and motherboard. While I originally was leaning with the Ryzen 3700X, I had extra budget and decided to go with 3900X since the 3800X seems like a little improvement. CPU for Machine Learning helps with some of the pre-processing of data prior to training, so I do see incremental value here. I decided to go with the Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard as it will pair with my Ryzen 3900X and seems to have good reviews overall. Have had good experience with ASUS before. I have been torn between the 2080 Super vs 2080 Ti. I decided to go with the 2080 Super because for machine learning purposes, I would like to see some return on investment in regards to the work I expect to do on the machine. If I see the return on investment in my Machine Learning work, I may just spend more at a later time & get a second GPU to support my workload. One area that is particularly confusing for me is cases. I do care about the double-tempered glass with RGB light aesthetic, but with so many options and lots of variance in reviews, its hard to understand who delivers quality here. Some of the brands that seem good are Corsair, ThermalTake, and Cooler Master. Any recommendations here? The $240 for the case does seem pricey, but I think it should have good air flow. Welcome any feedback, thank you so much. This is a large investment for me.

I've installed the fresh copy of windows 10 and my other monitor can only be detected when I unplug and replug it back to the graphics cardI again did the complete install of previous windows 10 copy on which everything was working fine but the issue still persistsI also dual boot windows 7 and this problem has seeped into 7 as wellthis happened once when I disabled CSM mode in motherboard but reverted back on enabling CSM (compatibility support mode) but this doesn't help either now.this only happens when I restart windows 10 through OS, but when I shut down and start the system, everything works finethe problem can be temporarily solved if I go to device manager and disable and enable again the graphic driverconfigurationProcessor: ryzen 1600motherboard: Asus prime b350-plusRam: 8gb corsair vengeance ddr4graphics card: Zotac 1050 ti miniStorage: wd green 1tbPSU: corsair vs550Monitors AOC I2080SW Acer HA220Q

Hi guys. I work for a small security company based in the UK and we monitor CCTV cameras for several companies. With the upcoming retirement of Windows 7 we are looking to upgrade our aging systems to something that will run our software better and smoother than what we are currently working with. We are currently running 3 computers each with AMD A8-3850 with Radeon HD graphics @ 2.90GHz, 16gb ram and twin ATI Radeon HD 5400 graphics cards. What we need is something that will run 5 monitors each and up to 100 CCTV displays per system. We use Qvis NVMS-1000, Hikvision IVMS4200, Zone alarm, a generic H.264 CMS software and Internet Explorer at present. Also on the subject of CCTV. We have 2 building sites and an additional 3 mobile CCTV vans that all run live stream via 3g data sims (4g in some areas where its available) and would like to find out the optimal camera resolution and bitrate settings that will give us uninterrupted live coverage without any data dropouts and save having to reset the camera devices every couple of hours while on shift. If anyone can help with pricing for a decent enough cheap system or if you can help with the data issues then all help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello this may sound a bit stupid but, I am planning on making a new build. My current build is a 6700k and a 1060 6gb. I am planning to move to a 3900x and a 2080ti. As I am planning to use my current monitor with another better monitor, will it be possible if I can also my 1060? The 2080ti will be powering one of those 34 inch Alienware monitors, while the 1060 will be on a 29 inch 1080p lg. I know this isn't needed and I can run both monitors on the 2080ti, but I don't have plans on selling my old pc. Are there any downsides to this? All I can see is the Pcie arrangment, but Pcie 3 x8 is enough so pcie 4 x8 would be plentiful. Maybe the cpu cores won't be enough to split between the cards (if thats how it works) ? I just want some feedback over this choice, because if it is a stupid thing to do I won't do it. Thank you. (Also the 2080ti will be water cooled so thermals shouldn't be a problem?

Thanks for stopping by: I have a 2017 macbook pro 15". I am wondering if it is possible to get 6 1920x1080 monitors hooked up to this computer and each monitor acting independently from each other. (I want the OS to be able to recognize each monitor as a an independent monitor. See the picture below to get an idea of what I want. Here is the specifications to my laptop. https://support.apple.com/kb/SP756?locale=en_US

I've been trying to add 3 external displays (all 1080p) from my laptop (Surface book 2 15in). I have successfully extended to 2 using the usb c port (I don't believe its a thunderbolt port) but wish to extend to a third. Are there any potions that don't cost over $100. I can find a usb c to 3 hdmi for about 140 or just buy a docking station dell offers for about $120. I'm just surprised how much these options cost. How does splitting to 2 hdmi ports to 3 make the cost go from $30 to $140? I think I can use the normal usb ports to drive a monitor but I was wanting to drive all 3 using the single usb c port.

Hello everyone. Iam looking for a good Software to handle Multi Monitors. I have two Displays in my Office and over a 15m HDMI Cable i connected my TV in the Livingroom to the PC. But i have a big struggle to Handle Multiple Monitors especially when i want to Game in the Livingroom, open Programs, or Windows Explorer. For Example i wannt to play Anno 1800 in my Livingroom In Office-> changing Maindisplay from Monitor 1 to Monitor 3, the one in the Livingroom walking in Livingroom-> Open Uplay-> Uplay opens on the Monitor 1 in the Office.... not again walking back to Office-> Open Anno walking back to Livingroom-> finally can play.....damn forgot my Snacks in the Office..... finish playing Anno-> have to set back Mainmonitor to Monitor 1 Iam Looking for something where i can navigate trough my Displays with something Like a button. I tried Multi-Desktop from Windows....but its not what iam looking for....even a Quick Brainstorming couldnt find a Way around. Someone knows a neat Program that handles Multimonitors the Easy and Quick way without any usless stuff? I even would pay something as long as its good and simple. I also go back to google and work me trough some Stuff i can found there...but my goal is not to install hundreds of Programs to look what fits my needs, thats why i ask if someone hat some good or bad experience with Software for multi Monitors. EDIT Side Infos. Office Monitor 1 is 160Hz1080p (Maindisplay) Office Monitor 2 is 60HZ1080p TV in Livingroom is 60Hz1080p Greetings

Hey guys just finished putting together my new build. I do some gaming but this is more for work. I want to be able to hook up 6 monitors I have heard there are lots of problems with those MST hubs and didnt want to have to deal with that. I have also heard that the MST hubs cant support the bandwith to run two 1440p monitors at 144hz from one display port 1.2. So I bought 2 Asus dual rx 580s. I have updated all the drivers on the computer that I knew of and also ran snappy driver installer to make sure everything is up to date. I hooked up three of my monitors up to one card and three up to the other card, via 2 display ports and one hdmi port on each card. I have only been able to get the monitors from one of the cards to work. The other three monitors come on during a restart but then quickly give a no signal message and go back to sleep. I have heard that the second card may be configured as a slave GPU and wont have active I/O ports. What can I do to get this working? I have spent a week already troubleshooting everything else in this build and do not want to waist any more time. Here are the specs for my build. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible to mirror a monitor onto another with a lower refresh rate and still run the main monitor at the higher refresh rate? I have 4 monitors and decided to mirror the main monitor onto the 4th monitor to work as basically a tv to view from another angle. My main monitor is 2560 x 1440 144 Hz, and the smaller monitor is 1600 x 900 60 Hz. It all seems to work perfectly until I run a game on the main monitor. The game never runs over 60 fps. I messed around with windows for a few days trying to fix it and I've tried having the different monitors plugged into different display outputs from my pc, but I can't seem to get it to work. So I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is even possible to have one screen run at 144 Hz with it mirrored to another at 60 Hz? And if so does anyone have any ideas how to do that?

I have been using a MacBook now since 2012, and have made the decision to get back onto the windows OS. I have never built my own machine but am very excited to do so. I have $1,000 USD to spend on this, also will be able to get windows 10 on campus for free. I use photoshop often and have been using visual studio a lot lately for class. I don’t want to spend more than I need on the computer itself( buy an additional 27” monitor) . I would like to run at least two monitors. The issue I am having is decided if an i5 will be good enough or do I spend more for the i7. Also have been looking into many GPU’s simply to run 2 - 3 monitors at 1080. I do not plan on doing much gaming. There are so many GPU’s I am so confused on what to choose I have : windows 10 OS, Mouse, Keyboard, one 27” monitor, one 19” monitor Thanks for any help

I run 5 monitors, 3 wide screens on the botom and 2 3x4 on top. I used to have 2 gpu's in my system, 1 R9 290x for my 3 main displays, and a separate nvidia GT210 for my 2 screens on top. This worked fine but linux doesnt really like mixed GPU's so I switched my GT210 out for a HD6670. Amd + Amd seems like it should be easier, and under linux it is, but my windows doesn't like it. Because the most recent AMD driver for my 290x doesn't support the HD6670. So I can run everything on an old catalyst driver from 2015, but I'd rather not. But I cant get the 2015 driver to work for my HD6670 without it also changing it for my 290x. Does any of you have experience with running multiple AMD drivers for different cards?
